It was really difficult to find but apparently, at the end of the event, Sampo tells stelle that she got to earn money while he got to earn stories by selling meme crates and that he wouldn't be short of fun stories.

Considering that Sampo has been in belebog for 8 YEARS, I wonder what kept him entertained all this time. Is it the people? Their strong will to survive? Or sampo getting to help them a little while preparing everything behind the scenes?

Everyone says that sampo is a retired masked fool bc he asked sparkle for his mask back and she told him "after all this time?" TBH i dont think sampo ever retired but rather he keeps himself elated without a mask

I think the reason is bc something is off with those masks and they have the ability to corrupt a person just like sparkle myriad celestia trailer where we see her have something like a split personality

Sampo also mentions at the beginning of the event that he can't share every story of the tavern with the trailblazer for their sake (?)

Which makes me wonder if he likes collecting stories in memory bubbles, especially stories with a happy endings considering that sampo IS trying to help belebog and doesn't seem to want to cause any genuine harm

This gives me heavy Kim Dokja vibes (mc from omniscient reader who LOVES stories and fiction) and makes me think that if all those sampo doll theories are true, that means he somehow needs to understand human emotions by 'watching' them or experiencing them in some way and I think

I daydream a lot about what sampo is and tbh one of the things I thought were sampo being some kind of creation that collects stories for the sake of personal interest or fun bc we know how he sees relationships as just business or mutual benefit so, it wouldn't surprise me if he distances himself from people and prefers to look at stories bc he can't seem to commit to relationships but that's just me rambling this will probably never be canon but i just need to put out ALL my thoughts cuz im kinda content starved and if there's nothing for me to eat I'll make it myself hahaha

can i confess something else that will absolutely get me stoned in the town square since im dropping my unpopular opinions. I don’t like altean broadsword Lance. i already disliked red paladin Lance. the broadsword was like rubbing salt in the wound. why couldn’t he have his own niche. why was his character development just making him keith. i understand that it was like “he accepts that he doesn’t have to be a leader and excels as a co-leader and you can find happiness that way yada yada yada”. but you could’ve done that without making him keith. also now give him something unique, cool, that falls in line with his sniper bit. i’m not saying just give him another gun, im saying give him something quiet and lethal. like a garotte. yeah i want garotte lance.

Dying 101

A fair bit of yapping under the cut about what's kinda happening here. In short it's just yap about why kasuars are so weak physically but still won't die.

Something I always did wanna play with is that ÆON doesn't care at all about the kasuars. As in what they do, how they feel, and what they're made of, so long as they fight well. On one hand, that's great! They can comfortably degrade without being put down, they can express themselves without too much worry, and generally are under less watch than another replika type.

What's NOT great is that ÆON treats them horridly. Kasuars are built with cheap, recycled garbage. They're made of inferior components and structure and are physically weaker. The density of their flesh is actually less than that of another replika like Elsters. (they match strength by lessening the physical inhibitors of the body. More on that in a sec.) In fact, in their armor, they weigh about the same as a Eule. The only thing that isn't utterly weak is their outermost shells to prevent crushing. Enough blunt trauma and their inside will tear or liquify on the inside and literally leak out (notice there's no wound up there?)

Their only strength is in their head- they have intense pain tolerance and enough grit to survive almost a full 45 minutes past full organ failure, so long as their heart and lungs function. (if they don't, then Kasuars'll spend 15 minutes suffocating instead of around 5.) They also can push their limits more. You know how in fits of adrenaline, humans get insane strength but overexert themselves and get hurt? Kasuars always have that fun rush and will sometimes accidentally tear their arms off. Stronk. They may have less strength inhibitors but their nerves are in full function, so they feel whatever pain they go through, they just handle it extremely well.

That's why ÆON can afford to make them so cheaply. The nerual template gives them the survivability of a replika made of proper material. This is GREAT for ÆON but for the Kasuars it makes things much, much worse. Bullets do far more damage to weaker material so not only do they get hurt more, all the corpses are far, far more mutilated. Instead of the couple of bullet holes in your best friend her guts are spilling out, only the guts in question are now closer to a mulch.

Then they don't get care. ÆON can't possibly be bothered to send enough repair supplies so kasuars are treated with whatever's on hand, usually by themselves or Ara units; they don't get much medics to do it. They'll literally take welding torches and use them to close the wounds. While not standard issue, It's hard to find a Kasuar without duct tape for medical emergencies. Older ones can cut their bodies open to remove and repair bones. (No, they don't have enough pain meds for that to not be insanity-inducing) They also don't get therapy. All those corpses? or more aptly all those piles of biomechanical mulch? All those scenes go unresolved. The closest they'll ever get is to talk to someone about it. Problem with that is they really really wanna be loved and a great way to scare potential friends away is to talk about how your friend was ruptured by a grenade.

All that tallies up since Kasuars are by default not all there. They're unstable from the moment they deploy, immediately sent to go die or watch others die in the most brutal fashions possible, and get no care whatsoever. If you haven't guessed KSAR suicide rates are high for those that live more than a week. Allegedly. ÆON doesn't document them.

😭 ITS SO FUCKING DIRE OUT HEREEEEEEEEEEEEE my bias obviously says rnc but thats also bc im not exactly a fan of patchwork stacatto (music wise) even though story/lyricwise i do like patchwork stacatto more bc it ties DIRECTLY to szai mainsto (especially the breakup arc) and it requires less Stretching Things out like rnc (like rnc also ties to szais main story thing but theyre less subtle and more on the gay side(the yearning...))

AND ON THE TOPIC OF THE MC, i was definitely in my head like....wouldnt rays superiors (managers??) get like curious about them? like no way theyre not being nosy about it after a certain amount of time passes. it really feels like something that could be leveraged against him,,, (if there is fic about this pls send it to me lol)

honestly i feel like mc and rays relationship would have moments of high stress. like there will be good times but also the bad times will also be there and its sometimes gonna be because of outside factors they cant control

He’d reached out to trace the circled spots, all three, the sleeve of his hospital shirt catching against the edge of the paper as Zhao Xiaoguang said, Ge wanted us to check all of them, even though he was pretty sure you could only be here, pointing. A cluster of rectangles marking the abandoned crematory buildings north of Halan. Zhao Xiaoguang had left a fingerprint smear of grease along the entry road, right where it ran along the train tracks.

another snippet from the start of ch5! it feels so weird to be back to down drafting now that ch1-4 have shifted the story so far from the original final chapter outline that literally none of the draft material is appropriate anymore lol but it's really enjoyable to just sit and type the most medium sentences in the world without having to do any higher-level thinking about pacing or subtext or anything :) brain off drafting my beloved :)

Will we ever meet Bobby JR in Person?

Because I have no Idea how to draw him since I don't know how tall he is or how old he is.

Like is he a 5 or 6 Year Old Kid?

Is he born just a Regular Child or born a Prodigy?

And will he like Bear Toons? Since he Love anything related to Bears?

Like he will go crazy that any Products like Food and Toys including Clothing that has a Bear on it.

I can't properly answer any of these, since I'm not apart of the team or anything, so everything I say after this is purely speculation and/or just random thoughts. I assume that, even if Bobby Jr is not added physically into the game, he'll be mentioned plenty of times (especially around April Toons with Thomas's dialogues). Especially if Crystalline is added to the game, since it's been established that the entire Cyger family has some issues going on. As for height, you can kind of estimate his height based on this photocard of him and the Chairman. He's shorter than the Chairman (who has an ingame model that can be compared to other managers). I assume he's at most half of Chairmans height. Do NOT leave him outside with a giant hawk. He's very obviously a child, I always imagine an age that's somewhere in the early-middle of elementary school, like maybe 7 or 8? Truthfully I only assign age ranges to characters, not specific numbers, makes it easier. Either way, I can't see him being in middle school yet.

I think the idea of him seeing a bear toon and getting really excited would be kind of funny. He ends up having to be dragged away by Robert.
