Went to a con today! Walked until I got tired, bought a Hisuian Zorua plush, good time all around.

I think for each con I go to from now on I'm gonna keep a list of the costumes and cosplays I see:

• The required at least one per con Junko Enoshima

• A few Denjis carrying Pochitas around

• At least two Dekus in full hero costume

• A little girl dressed as Eri from Hero Academia

• A few Starfleet officers, including one who was covered in Tribbles (my mom, dressed as Captain Pike, was very happy to see them)

• a Mimikyu (personal favorite I saw today, made sure to compliment them)

• Quite a few Luffys

• My brother was dressed as a Shy Guy, and when we passed by a Shy Gal both me and their group got really excited, but the Shys just silently nodded and gave each other thumbs-ups 👍

• Harvey from Stardew Valley

• Some furries (how do they cope with fursuits in this heat)

• A few Helldivers, I think? Black full body armor with red markings. May be entirely wrong on this one.

• A group of three Halo Spartans

• A T-Rex in a rainbow skirt holding a bloody "FREE HUGS" sign

• What I can only describe as Deadpool if he was Miss America. They were running an art stand selling prints, and had this one of an Espurr wearing Frisk's outfit. I had a nice conversation with them, seemed nice.

#hello again everyone. how's it going #isat loop #in stars and time #isat fanart #in stars and time fanart #isat #lucabyteart #isat spoilers #so. had this idea Before getting my hands on the artbook and being validated. literally have a voice note from 4:30am on the 8th where #i frantically noted down this just horrid horrid horrid caption because i'd been musing on the sasasap Dress line all day i suppose #just kind of rotating in my brain the way any kind of first time trying on new clothes for them would be .#just absolutely mental breakdown material and not one i think would be recovered from quickly. they hate being in their own skin #like. a lot? like a lot. the collateral of any kind of transfemme read was barely in my mind until it ended up relevant again while i was #actively working on this. because christ that's a bad combo. 2x different forms of body dysphoria in one. maybe even 3x somehow #plus any scenario where they get clothes is... likely gifted. something they react viciously negatively to in game and i doubt #would improve thereafter. just a veritable katamari of disgust and self-loathing #like i was mostly just thinking abt how a lot of our collective depictions of loop being alienated from their body are rather abstract #in a body horror way mostly. on account of loop being more of a metaphor than a person half the time. so i think i wanted to depict #something closer to just. a human level of body dysphoria. no focus on the whole duplicate thing just... raw disgust for the self #but with the addition of recent discussion and playing ball more with the she/her loop and transfem loop angle...#scenario of leaning into femininity to try throw off suspicion on who they are PLUS realising they might want that PLUS the party #trying to use this to bond with them PLUS body dysphoria PLUS new!gender dysphoria PLUS the usual revulsion for wanting and desire #like. that is a catastrophic combination . not coming out of that one without it getting worse for a few weeks thereafter #that's a real lash out at everyone around them and then recede in shame type breakdown. which im sure looks interesting from #the party's pov because jesus christ that touched a nerve something awful (<- they only have half the context AT BEST)#. so . there's your free scenario to ponder on if you'd want to. seeing as ive done a picture without a shitload of words on it for once #ALSO don't get smart with me in the tags about the mirror test being an absolutely ass test in most regards re: self-awareness #or that things like minnows pass it. i'm a fellow pedant dont worry. it's just that minnow doesn't really have the same ring as dog yknow?#this is supposed to be like an absolutely excruciatingly self loathing thought spoken aloud of a caption. it's pithy and cruel on purpose #and more than a little inspired by (reblogged yesterday) liminal space's 'there is no other dog. it's just you'

if there is one thing I can respect about bnha it's for going yeah we're a society where almost everyone has a superpower including any number of animal based superpowers of course theres a bunny girl superhero but also the bunny girl super hero is just one of the most cool bad ass fighter superheroes ever she will break every bone in your body with her legs and there's nothing you or god can do about it

day 36 || gi-hun is so Loud about everything in s1 and i deeply adore it

#daily gi-hun #cho sangwoo #seong gihun #spent many hours this morning screaming about gi-hun #at the moment im particularly obsessed over the dae-ho thing again #i just keep coming back to it because i just. adore that plotline so much #i personally think its super important that gi-hun killed dae-ho in such a violent and purposeful way #i think that gi-hun doing that‚ sinking to the lowest depths a person can #but he still.. comes back from that.#i think it proves the mentality of “once you get your hands dirty you can never go back” that so many characters hold to be WRONG #especially for in-ho #i also just enjoy that gi-hun isnt just “inherently better”#he falls for the manipulation that the games put everyone through #but what is important i think is that he is still able to be kind after it. hes able to find some form of recovery in finding >#> something else (jun-hee and her baby) to fight for #gi-hun will always Try. that is whats special about seong gi-hun #he wasnt a great son; he stole from his elderly mother‚ but he returned to the games for her sake #he wasnt the best father‚ but the desire to stay in contact with ga-yeong was his original reason for joining the games #he was so furious with sang-woo; he almost killed him‚ but at the last second he instead gave him his hand and begged him to leave with him #he falls into the darkest place he's ever been in after episode 2. but he still resolves to help jun-hee and her baby #and he keeps his promise to protect jun-hees baby #UGH. what an amazing character. i will never ever get over him #the show explores the complexities of human nature thru gi-hun and its so beautiful #does this count as sangihun lmao?? i guess ill throw in the tag for fun #sangihun #cho sang woo #seong gi hun #my art #squid game #doodle

Cooking up an older Clervie outfit design so I don't have to keep drawing her looking like her child self but Long

#genshin impact #clervie #ngl i have so many thoughts about an older clrv's design but at the same time artistically im not that creative </3 #mostly tried to make her look more like a direct contrast to arlecchino's design (which was already present but we ignore that)#cause arle's design is mostly very sharp and angular while i'd imagine clervie's being much more rounded out and softer #like they are the round vs pointy cat meme in human form #the hair was really tricky cause on one hand much like everyone else we dont really keep the same hairstyle our entire lives #butttttt at the same time idk i feel like her long hair flowing down (and her headband) are very recognizable parts of her #so i decided to not change much (also cause i dont trust myself making multiple drastic changes without changing their identity too much)#also halfways through coloring I realized she's kinda giving crucabena outfit wise but we ignore that </3 #anyways clervie would def be a support/healer character if actually playable (leaning more towards buffer support imo)#ITS A MASSIVE 50/50 IF SHE WOULD BE A HYDRO OR ANEMO USER but i decided hydro for the time being cause it compliments HOTH's dpses more #aka Arlecchino Lyney and partially Freminet since if i remember correctly he's more physical based but cryo nonetheless #i just really like the idea of Clervie's passive being along the lines of boosting stats/dmg if there's HOTH members present in a team #anyways sorry for the text wall I just really need to be kicked out of the kitchen #i am UNDERCOOKING the food #character design is not my passion </3

Hey y'all remember when the biologist projected the personality of her late (most likely dead or transformed) husband onto an owl that may or may not have actually been her actual husband after undergoing a transformation brought on by the effect of being in area x?

Y'all remember when the biologist lived with her owl husband for years and years, not forcing it to act human but allowing it to do its own owl thing while it allowed her to do her own thing? And despite them having their own individual lives, they loved in proximity of each other, sought each other out despite being completely different species, brought each other gifts and food? How even if the owl was never actually her husband and was just a regular old owl, how the love/solidarity/trust that formed the basis of their mutual relationship transcended both their species and extenuating circumstances?

Y'all remember how when the owl eventually succumbed to old age, the biologist allowed the brightness within her to be free? The very same brightness that the biologist was quite literally fighting off? How she had to continuously injure herself, self harm, make herself sick and miserable in order to desperately hold onto her humanity, onto the very essence of who she is? How when her owl husband died, she no longer had a reason to keep fighting against her transformation? To keep fighting to remain the biologist as she was?

Was the owl ever actually her husband, or was she looking for a reason to keep fighting against what became her very nature?

Y'all ever think about how, by being a literal owl, the biologist's husband was easier for the biologist to both understand and care for? How, by being an owl, the biologist's husband could show love and trust in a way that the biologist understood and appreciated? That this transformation allowed them to find happiness with each other, regardless of its fleeting nature?
