Everyday checking but no chapters?!? How!?!

Hi. Glad to know that you're so interested in this comic! There's a lot going on in my life and I don't have much time working on the comic pages recently.

That being said, I'm still doing my best to make some progress. Once the newest update is finished, you will see more new pages again.

For now, here have some manuscript of the next update.

Hello Sara ✨ I was wondering, besides Arthur, who would be your other favorite character? 🫶 And why?

Oh! Gosh, I don't know if I could pick one ☺ I'd have to think about it a bit... just to narrow it down... My tops would be John, Hosea, Rains Fall, and Tilly. I also love Hamish.

I think John, because his personal character is deep, rich, and complex as well. John has his faults and is severely flawed, just like everyone and like all good characters. But John eventually learns from his failings and mistakes. John can laugh and be a smart ass, and I really love that. But he also has a good, sharp head on his shoulders. Where some others were duped by Dutch's brainwashing, John could see all the tides and turns the gang was taking. And he voiced all his thoughts and discomfited misgivings to Arthur, his greatest confidant; though some of Arthur's early advice was not the best, because Arthur had not yet come to learn his hardest lessons himself. And John ultimately genuinely loves his family members so much. I adored the way the game unfolded to reveal aspects of the brotherly dynamics of his relationship with Arthur. And we learned about that history more and more through their interactions while playing the game. The way he and Arthur spent so much time resenting each other so strongly, but deep down it's because they love each other as brothers so much. Arthur desperately wanted better for John and his family, but he didn't know how to show that or get through to him. And he resented John for having so much that he couldn't have himself--love and a wife, a child, even Dutch’s generous approval. And John did look up to Arthur and wanted his approval too; but he thought he could never get it because Arthur is so guarded with his thoughts. Finally, John learned from his older brother's life the hard way, with his death. And he loved Arthur enough, and that experience of losing him and the way he lost him was traumatic enough, that there was no way he was going to let that lesson go to waste. Yes, it was several years later (because just like Arthur had to learn the hard way, so does John), but John finally got down to business and prioritized what really matters in life--his wife and son--before it was too late and his chance and his life were gone, like they were for Arthur. John did all that he could to not let Arthur’s sacrifice go to waste, and he took the chance Arthur gave him to foster love and life, instead of death and regret.

After experiencing Arthur’s death for the first time, I could not play for a while. 💔💔💔💔 (I still have a physical reaction just thinking about it.) But man, the only person I could ever be asked to play as immediately after that death was John.

John went through the thick of it with Arthur, through much of life, through the painful trials of the game--losing Jack, and losing each and every fellow gang member, the conflict of the gang's inevitable, ugly tearing and demise--to the end. John was there as much as any human could be there for Arthur. As much as Arthur’s personality and the state of his life would allow someone to be there for him. John was there. And John remembered Arthur’s life afterward, for as long as he was alive--the greatest gift he could give a person after their death. He did what he could to make Arthur’s life remembered and meaningful. 💗

I think some of the oddness compared to other roleplay communities might have to do with @/realpokemon :0

With their blog being so popular, I imagine a lot of people started imitating that style of blog, even if theirs weren't necessarily set in the real world and took place in the world of Pokemon instead.

That's possible! I do think to some extent that's the case. Emulating blogs that were themselves emulating regular users on the website rather than a traditional clearly writing focused roleplay blog is going to lead to wildly different aesthetic choices. It also lowers the perceived barrier of entry, so people are keen to continue that trend.

I do think that something is lost in people not being aware of roleplay etiquette and information about muses isn't always so readily provided. Which is why I try to explain those things so people are at least aware of them!

I read this (i think its from fangirleaconmigo) and decided i just have to tell you that your javi fic "the bar" did this for me (the one with virgin!reader). I was always under the impression that my virginity is something to be ashamed about, and something that defines all of me, at least thats how ppl usually think/talk/write about it. Its like you cant be a sexual person if youre a virgin. And society definitely doesnt know how to handle it. However, i found much comfort, and sort of freedom, and courage, and liberation reading your words in that fic because it showed reader as this sexy and beautiful and unafraid person who just goes for it and it doesnt have to be something deep, it can just be sex. And it can just be about sex and passion and doesnt have to involve fears coming from the other person about her possibly getting clingy after and it doesnt include that fear of ppl seeing her differently, or treating her differently (in a bad way), now that they know. Also, its one of the first times i read that a man was concerned about being more careful and gentle, and not repulsed by her virginity. Its just chefs kiss. I just wanted to send you this message to show you how sometimes you can write a story and while it is smutty, it also has a profound effect on someone. It has nuance and its not just about the smut. Like these lines

"You sighed. “It didn’t matter.”

“Fuck yes it matters!” He growled. “I would have been more careful.”"

live in my head rent free and remind me that this is THE WAY someone should react. The first time i read it, i didnt expect that reaction from him and it…just…moved me. Idk if this is weird to you and im sorry if this doesnt make any sense and maybe i shouldnt send this idk theres way too much shame ingrained in my lil soul, i just wanted to tell you that your words really helped me and made me more brave in a way. So thank you for writing that story, all the kisses for you💜✨

I have sat on this for a few days simply because I was busy and for the fact that I have read it several times, each time just making me smile even more.

It's true, I don't think that you have to be experienced to be sexual, to know what you want. That you can be eager rather than apprehensive and the first time doesn't have to the 'big first time' thing.

I am so glad that this gives you comfort and helps you. You don't know how much, and how much this has just made my week.

Ahhh! Oh my gosh 🥹😱😭 Yes, sweet dearest anon, to answer your question before I totally and completely melt. Yes, I do hope to do so! I've written some and have several more ideas for continuing story. Some winding road, love and goodness, a crucible or two. ( ◡‿◡ *) Things like that.
