things i would love to see in palia in the future:

obviously more information about humans and how they went extinct, what exactly they were doing with flow, etc. they've given us a good amount of information but it's still from the character's perspectives. i'd love to see more direct information from humans (like the stuff in the library)

speaking of the library,,, the shadow monsters,,,, compel me,,,,, the characters keep saying it was humans that caused their own destruction but there's a slight implication that it wasn't Just them. i definitely feel like there's something we don't know about the downfall of humanity

There’s been a lot of merformers in the ocean but I would like to bring up some fresh water ones + a rare pair.

Barricade is a Arowana, which are seen as expensive aquarium fish and are quite sought after. Barricade was hand raised from a hatchling but he’s still a spicy territorial fish. he’s also not a good show met because he enjoys his privacy and hides a lot; it’s normal not to see him for days at a time. Because of that he’s spent every heat alone, always feeling achingly empty

Lockdown is another awowana, caught from the wild, but the staff aren’t dumb and put them in separate tanks. But when Barricade’s heat cycle starts Lockdown is more than determined to claim that fish and some dumb glass isn’t going to stop him

Thats how the staff find out that Arowanas are very good jumpers when in a few months they see Barricade going into labor in the middle of the tank, putting quite the spectacle for the entire staff

mhmmmm interesting. Barricade growing antsy and much more irritable all of a sudden, but no one can figure out why because he wouldn't let a vet near and seems unresponsive to any attempts at changing his living conditions for the better… the staff are completely stumped as to what to do, when all of a sudden, Barricade starts laying eggs in the middle of his tank, tail wiggling as he slowly pushes out his young, with Lockdown watching from the other tank with an absolutely smug look on his face… perhaps he even jumps tanks again to “help out” or better said, bother Barricade during labour until the last of the eggs is out and he can try to knock him up again. The aquarium staff try to stop it but it's too late, Lockdown is already bouncing his tail against Barricade's, filling his sore, worn out valve with more transluid <33
