Art Questions From xenokhi
Would you be willing to share a little background about yourself? I am interested in what you would share when asked to describe yourself in terms of a person being interviewed about art. What background information do you think relevant to this interview?
I'm self taught like many online artists and I've been drawing since early high school. I got lucky and somehow managed to make art my full time job before turning 18 and it's what I've been doing ever since.
Do you do art purely as a hobby or work or a mixture of both?
Art is mainly my work but I still maintain it as a hobby.
If you do sell your art what is the price range of your work? You can be general here. I am looking for brackets of what type of artists I am working with.
The things people usually commission me for end up in the $75-$150 range on average I'd say.
What type of mediums do you work in? Do you stick to certain genres or themes?
I stick with digital but if necessary I can work in traditional. I also enjoy sculpting with clay and I do 3d modeling. As for themes, I am a furry artist so that's my primary thing but I try to keep in touch with the fundamentals so I can hopefully draw anything to some degree if need be.
Are there any the frustrate you but you still enjoy the process and end result?
I've found 3d work to be difficult and frustrating at times but also satisfying and I almost always enjoy what I came up with in the end.
What compels you to work on art?
It's basically the only thing of significance I've done with my life. It's what I know how to do and I've found a purpose in it: helping people to express themselves via their ideas. I personally know what it is like to grow up with my self expression and self of self stifled. As I've learned, it is essential to our proper function to let ourselves be who we are so helping make that happen is my calling right now.
Do you have a process in how you get yourself set up to work on art?
At this point I just do it, I've cultivated a robust schedule over the years I've been doing this and more or less eliminated the need to feel motivated or otherwise in the right mood. For work at least, it's a job that needs to be done so I will do it.
When do you consider a piece done?
I have a fairly rigid process so after I complete that, it's done. Along the way are checks where I determine if individual parts are "done" like if the background composition is adequate or the anatomy is okay.
Do you seek out other artists to befriend? How do you interact with other artists?
I do not talk to any other artists. This is partly because other artists would often reach out to me first in the past and they were always doing it to network. The people I've interacted with like this have often cared more about the fame part of being an artist than the actual art so I do not care to reach out anymore. The more passionate ones tend to keep to themselves like I do.
Do you consider the environmental impact that art has on the world? This can be in general or your art specifically. Please consider that if you are a digital artist you have an impact with electricity types and server usage.
Everything has a cost, this included. The impact of digital art is quite small I imagine, especially compared to something like the food industry and indutrial emissions. Because of this, I do not conside the emissions of my art any more than the impact of my household and me as an individual in general.
What is your opinion on AI?
Not a fan but I do not think "progress" can be stopped. Like with many things, I choose not to engage with it because I do not have to. It won't stop me from drawing the way I choose to.
If AI is here to stay, do you think there will ever be a happy medium between AI usage and artists?
I think art is what we make it. We as people literally invented the concept so it is whatever we want it to be. I can see a world where it becomes acceptable to the majority to implement AI in some way, just like it's normal to work digitally now. I think back to all the older people that would hear I draw on the computer and dismiss it because the computer "does all the work." People will do what they want and the best thing I think we can do is to be non-judgemental towards each other while also only engaging in the spheres we are comfortable with.
It has been suggested that some companies use AI but hire artists to train them. If a company approached you with a business model where you create assets for a hypothetical project but then wanted to use those assets to also train an AI "artist" so they could continue to create with your style, what would your response be?
I wouldn't do it.

Meningkatnya kejahatan di dunia maya

Seringkali di internet menjumpai materi-materi yang berbau pornografi. Apabila diakses oleh pengguna yang tidak tepat dan belum dewasa, justru akan menimbulkan dampak buruk dan berpotensi merusak mental dan moral sesesorang.
Menciptakan kesombongan diri
Media komputer merupakan teknologi baru dengan harga yang masih relatif mahal. Hanya orang-orang tertentu yang dapat memilikinya. Kadangkala orang yang memiliki komputer merasa sttus sosialnya lebih tinggi, lebih pintar, lebih kaya dan lebih modern.
Menganggu kesehatan

Hubungan sosial antar masyarakat dapat berlangsung dimana saja dan kapan saja .A berada di kota Bandung dan B berada di kota Makassar. Mereka berkomunikasi melalui ponsel. Mereka saling mengabarkan kondisi satu sama lain dan saling bertukar cerita. Itulah sedikit gambaran pemafaatan TIK dalam hubungan interaksi sosial. Walaupun berjauhan dan berada dalam zona waktu yang berbeda, mereka tetap dapat berkomunikasi dan saling bertukar informasi.
Dampak Era Revolusi Industri 4.0
Semakin berkembangnya media sosial, facebook, twitter, telegram, skype juga instagram menjadi satu diantara bentuk komunikasi yang berkembang pesat di era ini. Komunikasi sudah mulai tidak bergantung kepada email atau atau telepon saja, tetapi sudah mulai banyak menggunakan aplikasi yang bisa menghubungan satu orang dengan orang lainnya dan Semakin berkembangnya media sosial, facebook, twitter, telegram, skype juga instagram menjadi satu diantara bentuk komunikasi yang berkembang pesat di era ini. Komunikasi sudah mulai tidak bergantung kepada email atau atau telepon saja, tetapi sudah mulai banyak menggunakan aplikasi yang bisa menghubungan satu orang dengan orang lainnya.
Bidang Logistik, Inventory dan Manufaktur
Pekerjaan manufaktur yang sudah mulai digantikan oleh mesin dan robot. Pekerjaan manufaktur biasanya berkaitan dengan buruh pekerja perusahaan sepatu, motor dan juga konveksi. Beberapa perusahaan besar seperti adidas sudah menggantikan pekerja manufaktur dengan robot sejak tahun 2017.
Revolusi industri 4.0 adalah disrupsi teknologi internet ke dalam proses produksi agar proses pengolahan barang dan jasa bisa lebih efisien, cepat, dan massal. Hal ini ditandai dengan penggunaan teknologi robotik, rekayasa intelektual, Internet of Things (IoT), nanoteknologi, hingga sistem yang disebut sistem komputasi awan (cloud computing).

Cecelia is FASHION DIRECTOR at BRITISH VOGUE and first accepted the job in 2018 after working as a fashion editor at American Vogue for five years and working as a features and contributing editor at French and British Vogue for three years before that. Cee was hired over the heads of better qualifide men and woman, however it was felt the magazine was going in a new direction and they wanted someone from within in the indutry, with a fresher take on fashion. Day to day, Cecelia leads the fashion department at Vogue and is in charge of directing photo shoots, coordinating brand marketing campaigns, creating detailed design plans, and evaluating the latest fashion trends.
When asked what a typical day looks like for Cecelia, she said, “The day to day varies. Some days are spent in the office catching up on emails, researching for stories and prepping for shoots. When it's market appointments season, we are out looking at the next season’s collection at the showrooms and meeting up with the PRs and designers. I usually have a breakfast meeting with a PR to catch up and discuss what they have launching or how we can collaborate together. Then it’s a few more appointments to see new collections. Afterwards, I’ll head back to the office and then it’s either an opening I have to stop by or it might be a dinner for a brand. If I am shooting, I will be on set all day, working with the photographer and the models to create... the right vibe, I suppose?”

Yang pertama yaitu terasing dari lingkungan yang berarti seorang pengguna komputer lebih memilih untuk mengisolasi dirinya karena ia akan fokus dengan komputernya . Hal ini mengakibatkan kurangnya interaksi dengan masyarakat di sekitarnya.
2. Meningkatnya kejahatan di dunia maya
Yang kedua yaitu perkembangan dunia maya atau internet ternyata memunculkan model kejahatan baru yang memanfaatkan kelemahan sistem komputer untuk mencari keuntungan diri sendiri dan merugikan orang lain.
3. Merusak Moral
Ketiga yaitu seringkali di internet menjumpai materi-materi yang berbau pornografi. Apabila diakses oleh pengguna yang tidak tepat dan belum dewasa, justru akan menimbulkan dampak buruk dan berpotensi merusak mental dan moral sesesorang.
4. Menciptakan kesombongan diri
Ke-empat yaitu media komputer merupakan teknologi baru dengan harga yang masih relatif mahal. Hanya orang-orang tertentu yang dapat memilikinya. Kadangkala orang yang memiliki komputer merasa status sosialnya lebih tinggi, lebih kaya dan lebih modern.

Selain memberikan manfaat, TIK (Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi) juga menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap manusia, apabila tidak digunakan sebagaimana mestinya. Berikut adalah contoh beberapa dampak negatif dari penggunaan TIK dilingkungan masyarakat diantaranya:

Kemajuan TIK juga akan memungkinkan berkembangnya kelas virtual atau kelas yang berbasis teleconference yang tidak mengharuskan sang pendidik dan peserta didik berada dalam satu ruangan.
Dampak negatif Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi di bidang pendidikan yaitu sebagai berikut.
Kemajuan TIK juga akan semakin mempermudah terjadinya pelanggaran terhadap Hak Atas Kekayaan Intelektual (HAKI)
Walaupun sistem administrasi suatu lembaga pendidikan bagaikan sebuah system tanpa celah, akan tetapi jika terjadi suatu kecerobohan dalam menjalankan sistem tersebut akan berakibat fatal.
Salah satu dampak negatif televisi adalah melatih anak untuk berpikir pendek dan bertahan berkonsentrasi dalam waktu yang singkat (short span of attention).

Informasi yang ada di masyarakat dapat langsung dipublikasikan dan diterima oleh masyarakat.
Hubungan sosial antar masyarakat dapat berlangsung dimana saja dan kapan saja.A berada di kota Bandung dan B berada di kota Makassar. Mereka berkomunikasi melalui ponsel.
Sosialisasi kebijakan pemerintah dapat lebih cepat disampaikan kepada masyarakat. Peraturan pemerintah serta kebijakannya dapat keluar pada waktu yang tidak dapat diprediksi.

Timbulnya jenis kejahatan baru.Kejahatan yang timbul antara lain penipuan, pencurian nomor kartu kredit, pornografi, pengiriman email sampah (spam), pengiriman virus, penyadapan saluran telepon, memata-matai aktivitas seseorang (spyware), dan mengacaukan trafik jaringan.
Maraknya perilaku menyimpang yang terjadi di kalangan masyarakat pada umumnya dan remaja pada khususnya.
Menurunnya tingkat kepercayaan kepada lingkungan sekitar. Kemudahan akses informasi semakin melemahkan rasa percaya pada orang-orang sekitar.
3. Bidang Perniagaan dan Perdagangan

For this exercise, we are creating the form of our letter using black squares against white paper, playing with negative space and abstracting the letter into different forms. I think my background in indutrial design kicked in here and almost hindered me because instantly my mind wanted to create a shape in the third dimension and that was my go to setting almost. I have found the letter x a challenge in the sense of it being 2 straight lines intersecting and i feel like at this stage all the answers im seeing are coming to me almost too easily so im struggling to see how i can absract the letter. At the beginning, i just went for the most obvious options that came to mind but then as we moved through the exercise i played with extracting the intersection of the two lines and playing with that using shadows and pushing the two pieces of paper together. I then took the form of the x itself and created a star of sorts with these beveled edges to represent the different lines of the x shape. I really enjoyed the constructed star shape model but because we had to use the 4 pieces i just ended up making 4 of them and couldnt find a construction with the 4 that still achieved the look that i was going for. I’m going to play around with the 4 squares a bit more in in design maybe and see if that helps force me into getting a bit more comfortable with the flat space method. I have seen other people in the class do this really succesfully for their letters so I’m hoping will feel inspired once i try this again.
