I learned how to print my own custom fabric on my inkject printer! All it needs is freezer paper and plain white fabric and I have plenty of cheap white broadcloth/muslin that I bought years ago so test with. My printer can print up to 11x17 inch sheets of paper and my freezer paper goes up to 18 inches wide so I can do quite a lot with it.

Lots of printed fabric doesn't look good at doll scale, the images are too large, and with Joann's closing I'll lose access to their printed fabrics so this will be a lifesaver! With the closing sales at Joann's I plan to get more plain white fabrics of different kinds to test with printing.

Ad Nasuseum Cyanotype and Inkject print

Family History is a fraught, slippery thing. Your Grandma and Dad has different stories when asked to recall a memory. Remembrance is not guaranteed in our fallible, fragile minds, as time erodes certainty, retelling adds or subtracts details at random. The act of remembering soon replaces the original physical memories. Thus we photograph what we wish to remember for an objective record, to say that ‘this happened, and it mattered.’ But still, certainly eludes us, film gets exposed, slides decay, paper rots, narrative overtakes a singular recorded moment. The distance overtakes familiarity. I think I recognize who is in these photographs, my great-grandmother Thortis reclining in the grass, my father and my uncles on a bright summer’s day, Thortis with family or friends. The ritual repetition of recording does not offer an answer as the photographs overlay and fracture, the narrative offers no certainty of what happened.

// A full written bio is coming, but it's been a few years since I've played these guys so I'm just readjusting / refining some points.

Lis was always a sucker for bad boys, and it would be what brought her to rock bottom, the catalyst for her to change her life.

She's always been aware of the supernatural, and aware that a life forced to change into a wolf at the full moon was not part of her plan, much to her parents displeasure. They had married out of convenience, their wolf lineage being the pushing factor behind their nuptials. Over time, they had grown to love each other, become companions, but it wasn't what Lis wanted.

The middle child wedged between two rowdy boys had meant that she had learned to fend from herself at a young age, constantly trying to keep up with her brothers and their friends.

One such friend of her older brother, Jackson, became a constant by her side as they entered their teen years. Stand offish, brusque and rude he was the bad boy that every girls parents dreaded that she would bring home.

But Jackson won them over with the way he protected Lis with everything that he had. They were in love, and they married at 19, despite the rumours and whispers it would bring, that they'd only married because she was pregnant.

But, Jackson was involved with shady figures. Gangs, illegal dealings, and despite her pleas to get out of it she found herself staying still, knowing that she would be unable to leave him to deal with it. Whilst not directly involved, Jackson would find himself stuck in between battling underworld figures, mistaken for being part of an ongoing fight between factions.

She would regret the decision to stay just a few months later, when they found themselves in the crossfire of a rivalry gone wrong, and Jackson was killed, mistaken for someone else.

In the days after her his death, she realised she was pregnant. She kept away from her family in the months to come, before giving birth to a son. Samuel Jansen was her reason for existing, a spitting image of his father.

Her darkest days came when Samuel was 18 months old, and she was out with a friend for a rare night out when she came across a familiar face. The man that had killed Jackson. Filled with an uncontrollable rage, for the man she lost, the son that wouldn't know his father, she took his life without a second thought, triggering her werewolf curse.

Afterwards, she could only think to call her brother, who told her to come to Silverkeep. Her family had all settled close to the area, and she could raise her son around his family. So she did.

She's been there since, raising her son, opening her store, and trying to love the son that grows more like his father each and every day.

this post reminded me that i was working on creating a printable template for covering the smartcrutch branded wrap on the main cuff about a year ago, so even though i no longer use my smart crutches i went n pulled em out and actually finished getting all the dimensions close enough to work and i now present to thee the easy ability to design your own cuff design if you have access to a printer (and tbh even if you don't you could probably draft it up on paper with pencil without too much difficulty)

available as pdf, svg, and png (each format is linked to the file of that format)

Instructions for use is fairly basic, the PDF or SVG format is the most ideal to use as the PNG may not print the right size. You can either digitally design over the template or go straight to printing the template out and designing on paper. Then it's just a case of carefully cutting it out (it's easier with a craft knife but you can make do with scissors) and affixing it over the existing sticker.

Depending in how invested you are and what you have access to, you could make do with glue and regular printer paper (and maybe apply modpodge or something similar over it if you want some waterproofing) but you could also buy some inkject printable vinyl sticker paper and use that.

I didn't cut it perfectly so it looks a bit wonky in my photos below, but;

in addition to doing whatever design you want (and being able to change out designs in future if you wanted), another thing you could look at that I did do when I used mine, is you can get a bicycle bag and attach it to the smart crutches fairly easily (or you can pay like twice the price for the smart crutch branded bag that is functionally more or less the same), it made my life a lot easier to carry light items in, and you could also absolutely put pins and other things onto the bag itself

My smart crutches finally came! I really want to decorate them but i don't know how. Any suggestions i've come across are usually a bit too... cutesy? I think they look awesome but it doesn't fit my style. Does anyone have any ideas?

Long back this year only, there was a prompt to draw on that was called: Animal, which was organised online by @kapi_workshop Sir. I was not able to post my drawing back then and with time and my inactivity too, now it is not possible because that Artwork has got damaged in rainy season. Hence I have drawn another one for the prompt, although my entry technically doesn't count as I am not at all punctual in it. Here is the artwork, I have made just now. It was an original artwork, the first one. However this one is originally made by late Frank Frazetta Sir. I had got the image in the Google search results randomly. Hence I don't know the original title of this artwork. My selection of animal is Wolf. I love wolves, have been for a very long time, not because of arbitrary fantasy, but because of the qualities of Loyalty, Guidance, Chastity and Perseverance. A Wolf or a She Wolf, chooses his/her partner only once in life. If not, then the being sleeps away being a Lone Wolf. Cannot help but be amazed by the majestic behaviour of them. I tried to do hatching and cross hatching along with addition of shades as much as possible but I feel like I am not yet much successful in the attempt. No problem... estudió arquitectura y técnicamente es arquitecto pero decidió hacer cursos de tatuaje y dedicarse a ser tatuador.

nació en inglaterra pero vivió en un montón de ciudades del mundo. londres, roma, madrid, you name it. todo esto por el trabajo de su padre, que es arquitecto también.
