Alrik watched as Luna wrenched her ax from the warg's dead body, there was a breadth of time between who she'd been when they first met, and the cloaked woman that she was now. The woodcutter was right, Alrik had underestimated her, but as he made a motion to wind the chain around his palm and elbow in even loops, he acknowledged the strength that he'd previously disregarded.

"Good. Sometimes that's all you'll need." Luna would need it in the days to come. Alrik finished winding the heavy chain and set it across his shoulder again as he ducked his head through the loop. "Let's head back before others are incensed by all this..." Alrik turned up his nose at the blackened, putrid-smelling snow. "blood." If it could even be called that.

There could be no doubt that the Warg was dead, it wasn't a gamble that either of the refugees were willing to take and so they delivered it to the gates of hell with a bloody strike after another, the land sick with blight was stained with a dark ichor that smelt of sulfur and resembled the thickness of blood.

The Warg howled in anguish as it bled from its open wounds and stumbled about, dizzy and sick with pain that it wanted its pound of flesh. The spikes embedded in the skull of the beast and it came to a finish with a sickening wet sound of breaking bones, the spiked weapon caught the light of the fading sun from an burst eye socket and for a moment cast a refracted light prism of red and gold.

She reached for her axe, the first blow upon the beast and it's gained another notch, another scratch for a beast defeated and had to be cleansed with fire and water. "Never underestimated someone who grew up in the woods, I fight like someone who wants to live. Blind a beast of its senses and you've dug the creature a grave." She does not ask where he learned to fight, her head is spinning with the gore they had caused and she couldn't bare to learn anything new.

so my first immediate thought was the dnd au ive been rotating for a while now! cause he was made for bitd so i thought it'd be cool to try to convert him to a dnd character.

i always struggled w/ class though until literally... now LMFAO because i was thinking of some kinda healing wizard subclass but then luna reminded me that artificer exists. which. yeah. vinos an artificer. he'd be an alchemist more specifically. he'd actually be super fun to play lmfao.

i see his stat spread being something like this

highest int > dex > wis > chr > str > con lowest

which is kinda funny cause i think con is one of the artificers main stats? i'd have to play w/ that some for vino cause. yeah.

as for skill proficiencies he'd have medicine + arcana and usually background gives u two more so im seeing investigation and uhhh i cant think of another one so animal handling for fun. firearms werent in our faerun game so he'd have a light crossbow? which i like more anyways.

as for spells i wont list them all but man. picking cantrips is so hard for him cause theres 234234 i'd love for him. theres guidance, spare the dying, magehand (top contender), mending, poison spray, firebolt.... all strong vino choices. id probably end up going w/ magehand/firebolt

as for spells beyond that, he'd mostly be support based but he'd have some fun ones like heat metal ( :) ), tiny servant, caustic brew (im shocked alchemists just dont have this), arcane eye, and pyrotechnics to name a few.

The Loud House Reviews: The Cow-Pie Kid and Saved by the Spell

Welcome back Loudiacs.. I .. don’t know what the fandom calls themselves. And given I dont’ know anyone personally in the fandom and the going into the tag is like living in a living nightmare.. it’s easier to keep workshopping a name till either someone tells me or I find one that sounds right. Loudites.. there we go that didn’t take long. Point is we’re back in The Loud House, In The Loud House for the first regular coverage, i.e. when I cover a show as It comes out of the season. And I was lucky enough to actually see the episode same day this time and with a promo that at least gives me images to work with, so yeah, i’m pretty pumped. And not just because I can cross this one off because SOMEBODY has a birthday tommorow.. no not me, that was last month. 

There ya go. But yeah the show’s back. I’m excited, your excited, i’m scared because nick dosen’t give a clear schedule out ahead of time so i’m left wondering when one’s going to pop up and when to get it on my schedule now I have one... it’s a good time. Seriously though Nick needs to get their scheduling in order. So i’m happy to be back, your happy to have me here, but probably not happy to have spoilers so let’s take this under the cut and we can talk about cow pies, magic, and ... how this block is weirdly almost all lincoln episodes. 

The Cow-Pie Kid:  Yeah.. this was the only bit from cow pie kid I could find. Tons of stuff to mine from for saved by the spell. Nothing for that one. Weird.  Anyways our story opens with Lynn’s baseball team, who we’ve met before.. and include friends who have played other sports with her and that guy she had a crush on for all of five minutes because the writers kinda forgot L is for Love happened for anyone but Luna and Luann. 

Okay look MOST of the love intrests introduced there were not great and while Lincoln needs one NOW, at the time he really did not as the Ronnie Anne thing had not, and still has not, been properly resolved. Still vastly prefer him with Stella and her with Sid, i’m just saying closure would be nice.  Look i’m getting off topic point is one besides Sam, who was great out of the gate and not just for being gay.. though that was a lot of it, and Benny, whose objectively a really sweet kid and damn likeable. Luaggie shippers feel free to boo me, I understand.. dosen’t change my mind or the fact Poly exists to fix that. I mean why not both I ask you.  Besides them, we had Chazz, a loveable chubby guy who Leni was into and worked at clothing store and knew his fashion stuff. and was charmed by her romantic gesture. He just seemd sweet and it was implied via background stuff they were still dating.. but he hasnt’ shown up since despite her working AT the mall and that being her main arc for the last two seasons. 

Just why? What’s wrong with the chubby fashion boy? Why? Did they decide they had too many romance arcs.. at exactly two? I get focusing on sam, because duh, and because that was awesome.. but you’ve had 2 full seasons since then and again Leni and him now work in the same location if not the same store, which in itself is a plot. I don’t ask much from you show.. well okay I do but let me clarify I don’t ask much from you that you could actually do: I know i’m never getting my a diffrent world style spinoff with lori and bobby. I know Zach is going nowhere and i’m just going to have to get over it, I will not, but I DO know you could include chaz and just won’t. So do that at least. I will put up with several more seasons of Zach if it means this adorable love story continues. It’s even easy enough to pick up this late: they are both stupid. Work with that. Gah... coach if you’d please. 

Thanks coach. Okay so one tangent later we’re back to the episode. Point is her team is loosing even though Lynn’s the captain now, and while she’s perfectly encouraging it’s not winning games. Lynn is understandably dejected in the car not helped by the sports commentor guys from the game... commenting about it on the radio...

I mean.. I get sports can have dry spots and all that but who covers a middle school basketball team on the radio that isn’t the middle school radio station. I mean I genuinely can’t decide which is more sad... a radio personality doing a children’s baseball game on his own show, or having so much trouble getting one that he’s apperaing on the middle school radio show. And I COULD say it’s just a guest spot but he’s talking like he knows what’s going on intmatiley> Did his daughter ask him to? I mean I know radio’s fallen pretty far but I dind’t think it was that much in the basement. Do a podcast at least man. 

Okay before I go on another Tangent point is Lynn feels it’s her fault as Captain.. which granted whoever the coach is should be .. but it genuinely looks like they don’t HAVE a coach. Maybe they had to sack him to pay for the newly refrubished av department? I dunno. Point is she feels bad and Lynn Sr vows to cheer her up.. before stopping for farm fresh eggs. Which.. yeah can’t blame him. He’s a cook, and Liam’s family likely has good prices. He can buy for both home and restraunt at once. I mean he has a van and only one occupant at the moment. Don’t judge him.  But this little detour DOES help Lynn’s mood. Her problem is the team lacks a decent pitcher, since Lynn herself was banned for throwing one at a heckling goat. The Lawsuit is ongoing and that made me laugh a lot. But Lynn finds Happy Gilmore style that Liam.. has a really great arm. Granted instead of actuall balls it’s with cowpies because this series really loves a shit joke, hence the title and the new nickname for liam, the cow pie kid.. but compared to some of the series toilet humor it’s a lot less in your face. But with Liam being so good Lynn can’t help but sign him to the team and Liam being a sweetie pie is happy to agree.  I have.. not hid even for a second how much I liked Liam or wanted him, and Stella, to show up outside of Lincoln episodes more often, or even get his own again. That day.. has come. Not only does LIam now have a roll entirely outside his friend group, but this episode’s about him and Lynn together.. not in that way.. yet. Someday.. Point is my boy is in the spotlight and I could not be happier.   And thankfully.. Lynn’s at her best. What I feared would be an episode about her overtraining him and making him not enjoy the game, htat old chesnut instead.. she just genuinely helps mentor him. She’s tough but fair as she helps him get his aim right as he’s used to firing Cow Pie’s, so the weight distrbution is off. So she helps train him and .. it’s really cute honestly, with her genuinely helping him and showing a softer side and later realizing she had him thinking about it too hard and just having him not think.. and going by instinct naturally works for a carefree and easygoing guy like liam. Wouldn’t be suprised if he went ultra instinct eventually.. but that’s for another episode. They also have a pig pile together.. which sounds bad but is just pigs piling on liam and lynn gladly gets on top of the pigs and god that sounds worse. next scnee. 

So Liam gets ahead and becomes the star pitcher for the zanarkand abes.. I mean the Royal Woods Kangaroos, and they just keep wining and wining and wining. Their like glomgold: all they do is win... but probably with less attempted corpse dancing. Problem is as we see during the montage Liam’s arm is slowly but surley getting cramped and while he wins hte next game.. his arm gives out from noodle arm. The good news is with rest, he can fix it, as her injury prone friend Paula, whose somehow allowed to play with crutches despite ALL the legal and moral issues that raises explains. but they don’t have days to rest it. So insane plans it is!  So Lynn goes to her sisters for herlp..specifically lisa int he hopes her mad science can either fix his pain or turn him into the hulk. Neither happens.. yet. I mean LIam is so sweet if he IS a hulk, we won’t know yet. But the green door will.. it always knows. IT ALWAYS KNOWS.  Lynn bemonas her luck.. before Lucy appears!

I JUST said last month when reviewing 11 louds a leapin that I missed the duo of her and lynn and lo and behold here we are. While we dno’t get much of the two fo them, it is still nice to see Lynn suprised by her scares and Lucy trying to use the dark arts to heal his pain.. which actually works. Lucy’s upgraded from wants to be a witch to full witch. 

So yeah her dark magic works and now Liam is fine just fine as the championship game approaches. Until naturally it isn’t. While Lucy STOPPED the pain, she didn’t make anything better, just numbed it so Liam’s arm’s pretty bad and Lisa suggests there’s a 70 perfecnt chance he’ll wreck it if he does so.. and while Lynn is naturlaly, given one of her main traits is asshole, ready to risk that.. she realizes she can’t. Rusty is on her team following her orders.. and no matter how good a W feels.. she can’t trade in someone’s health for one. Honestly bettter than most sports managers ngl. So Paula subs in and misses, loosing them the game.. but Lynn. takes it in stride, having realized she can win next year and having finally realized what being the leader REALLY means. She can work on paula’s curve, give Liam a break, and win next time... which she’ll have because time dosen’t work normally in this show’s dimension and a solid timeline is just a pipedream, so she probably has another year of being 14 to redo this and has become aware of it. I’m scared and excited for what that means.  Liam celebrates with a pig pile of two and we get a REALLY fucking cute shot of the two being happy and what not before a pig jumps on them still though.. yeah I ship it now. Liam taps into the space where I thought a black void of misery and douchebaggery was but ti turns out is in fact a heart, something few can do with Lynn and Lynn can protect him form bullies and is perfectly suited for his rough hewn farmboy styles. Point is their cut.e And so was this episode. IT was a really nice return to the series and it was again REALLY fucking great to see one of Lincoln’s firend,s and one of the GOOD ones at that, get a starring roll without him. HOpefully this keeps up and hopefully we see more of these two. 

Saved by the Spell:

RUSTY SPOKES IS TRASH (Ring) I don’t have a saved by the spell font that’ll have to do. Point is he is but before we get to Rusty being Rusty, Lincoln is doing magic tricks at the table. 

Point is he’s excited to do it at the talent show. The next day his friends discuss doing something to make them look cool to everyone. WHich.. kids. i’ll level with you. You. are. NERDS. As a massive one in both size and nerdiness myself, there’s nothing wrong with that. 2/3 of you are lovely people. You’ll be fine. But you are geeks, and should be proud of that.. not so proud you evolve into an incel or it’s adjacent form of assholes mind you, but still proud of who you are. You are never going to be that cool by trying to appeal to everyone. Just be yourslef and the cool comes naturaly. Like kool aid, which is naturally made by milking the Kool Aid man. Be you. 

But instead they decide to do a dance routine which..  let’s face it.. is probably just this spread across 6 people...

Point is maybe don’t do that. Also when Clyde does a dorky but endearing dance and says their going to shake their groove things, Rusty pipes in with “But cool”... and while sadly not as glorious as EVERYONE looking enitrely done with him like last time we saw this tool, Clyde clearly still does while the rest of hte Lincrew have no idea what the hell he’s on. I think their just.. numb to his stupidity and ego at this point.  But when Lincoln shows off his magic they all hide him, fearing that magic.. is well for younger kids and this won’t play so well. Which isn’t an invalid fear: this is middle school and from personal experince, middle school can be hell.. and also one of hte best years of my life which shows the vast gulf between the two schools I was in but was also not the point. the point is kids can be cruel and maybe don’t do this. But lincoln gonna do it anyway because he has confidence.. and frankly given there was an ENTIRE episode about being yourself instead of putting on an asshole suit of armor to avoid being hurt, which Lynn finally took off again last episode, he’s right.. but the rest of them all feel THEIR ALL GOING TO LAUGH AT YOU. and since they don’t know if he has latent psychic powers or not can’t risk him getting pigs blood dumped on him so they plan to find some way to trick him out of it.. Clyde of course gets his stomach in nots because he’s not good with schemes or lying ot his best friend, both of which this is and requires. 

Also Stella’s in the lead, as she should be. And she helps as her positive attudie makes what their doing come off as it should: KINDA douchey, but not intentionally so, they just worry about hteir freind getting pummled.. possibly by his own sister but now sh’es possibly with Liam that’s probably not as much of a worry. Or Chandler but frankly he’s going to do that no matter what.. and is probably getting his ass kicked himself by older kids who won’t toldeate his bs, so your clear. But their fears while a bit unfounded are understandable and well inteitoned if misguided, as we don’t know LIncoln’s act at this point or how well it’d go over with a mostly tweenager crowd, who can be the best as we’ve seen in recent tv.. or aboslutel monsters.. same deal. You either get Luz or you get BOscha, the inbetween is rare. 

So cue our usual setup of a bunch of attempts to do something in a row, but like I said while i’m not a fan of reptition if it’s done well enough it works and with it’s rather sizeable supporting cast , LIncoln and Friends episodes usdually do make it work. In this case it does as each of the sensational 6, lincoln and clyde asid,e try their hand at it. Liam, being the golden child, just has the most direct and obvious route: swipe his magic stuff.. and runs off without letting them talk it out but unlike Rusty in the next attempt, his plan was actually viable.. he just gets tangled up in the scarves and taps out.  Rusty is next ....and his idea is to.. show lincoln his killer dance moves to convince him normally. 

Yup pretty much that. And somehow out of the four plans, RUSTY’S is the only one that dosen’t bring up any serious moral quandries. I know i’m shocked too. He just thinks his moves will do it when no they won’t, please stop it hurts to watch and I can’t turn the fuck away. This is my job you redheaded kanker sore! Gah it thankfully ends and is unsurisingly unsuccesful. 

Also unsuprisingly, i’ve been waiting since i got that image to use it on Rusty. And as a third dollop of unsuprise I did not have to force it in any way shape or form. Point is it’s Zach’s turn as during the last two he’s been pushing really hard to use some form of brainwashing on his friend.. yes .. really. 

Thought Rusty would be the first loud house character to get that one but hey if the shoe fits. Seriously I thought rusty was the creep among them but at least you know.. altering someone’s throughts to suit your own isn’t his go to move. Being excetsivly cocky and coming on too strong is but still better to take THAT out of the Zach Morris playbook than “brainwash people into dooing whatever you say because tha’ts not creeptagious.” And unsurpsingly it does not work.. on Lincoln it woroks on Meyrl for some reason. Thankfully it dosen’t though just.. Zach needs no power epsiecally over the mind. 

So UNSUPRSINGLY, Stella has the working plnan.. and also unsuprisingly the last three just did theres by running off, running off and shouting the loudest. Again somehow Rusty is NO LONGER the most obnoxious one of the group. Zach won that title this episode. He’s still the most pathetic.. but i’m the most done with Zach who adds nothing to the dynamic or the planet or anything and I wish would just go away. Your home planet needs you. 

But yeah Stella has the winning idea: pretending to be “Yodel Boy”, a student who was humilated at a talent show last year, proving sh’es not only a decent actress (I mean it’s obvious i’ts stella in a wig, padding and lederhosen, but points for the accent being okay and hey she’s in middle school), but also the smartest of them. Only one of those is a suprise. It works and Lincoln agrees. 

So the night of the talent show they’ve caught him up to speed and prepare to celebrate, only for clyd eto open the wrong locker and reveal the yodel boy suit. WHy it was in there instead of at Stella’s house where this wouldn’t happen?

But yeah the cat’s out of the bag and lincoln leaves, depressed his friends think that little of him and lied to him. Which.. yeah completely fair. They tried talking to him, it did not work.. they shoudl’ve just left it at that. It would’ve SUCKED if he got bullied true, but it was his choice to go out there and take a risk and do what he loves. As someone whose constnatly self concious and had to fight to start writing like i’m doing now, I envy that kind of youthful confidence and thus wholly support him. 

And finally.. so do his friends. Realizing they’ve been kinda crappy, they introduce lincoln instead and work as his assitants.. and.. it works. Stella gets sawn in half, Zach gets astounded by a card trick, and Liam wears a bunny outfit which is just.. precious. Good boy. Best boy. It’s a huge hit.. and we also get to seesome of the new background kids including one with pink hair who looks kinda nb. I’m just saying one of you should take a crack at them, they seem nice. But for now our heroes are haield as heroes, and the other 5 apologize to lincon and they do their now cemented and fucking adorable group hug. Happy ending to a pretty great episode, with decent gags, a good relatable plot, and Rusty being just the right amoutn of obnoxious. Good stuff.  So that does it for this week. Como el conflicto solo se insinúa brevemente en los textos religiosos, no es fácil hacerse una idea de su naturaleza. La imagen que se ha compuesto a partir de datos dispersos, de Horus y Seth luchando e hiriéndose uno al otro, el que pierde su ojo y el otro sus testículos, no está confirmada por fuentes más detalladas como "Contiendas de Horus y Seth". No se dice una palabra que sugiera la castración de Seth. Las vicisitudes de los símbolos religiosos "ojo" y "testículos" guardan cierta relación con la lucha que se produce entre los dos dioses. Sin embargo, la conexión parece ser menos directa que generalmente es asumido por los egiptólogos.

Dos fases pueden, creemos, distinguirse en la disputa. Primero hay irregularidades de naturaleza homosexual. Posteriormente comienzan una pelea. El ojo y los testículos se lesionan durante los primeros desarreglos, antes del combate real. Sin embargo, las complicaciones entran en el esquema, ya que encontramos el miedo expresado de que Seth puede maltratar el ojo durante la pelea, y porque el mito se extendió luego a la idea de que Horus no solo robó la semilla de los testículos de Seth, sino que lo castró en la pelea. Naturalmente, un mito Egipcio tan importante como el de Horus y Seth apareció en muchas variaciones, que no se pueden discutir en detalle aquí, y se expandió en los miles de años de su existencia.

Las dos fases no se pueden separar estrictamente. Forman una unidad. La lucha debe entenderse como resultado de los desarreglos homosexuales invitados por Seth, que no se mantiene al margen del sexo. En el período primordial, cuando Horus y Seth aún no habían surgido y aún no se veían obligados a vivir juntos, no había conflicto: 

"cuando aún no había surgido enojo

Según este texto, los testículos de Seth se hicieron impotentes. No se nos dice cómo sucedió esto: la inclinación y la acción homosexuales de Seth son bien conocidas. Algo le pasó al ojo de Horus.

Tal vez ḳnỉ se traduzca como "tornarse amarillo". Hay confusión, lo que lleva a conflictos, gritos y enojo. La disputa surge después de que Seth ha perdido su potencia viril y porque Horus no tiene el ojo en su poder. La frente de Seth y Seth no está dispuesta a devolvérselo a él. Cómo lo veremos allí, lo veremos enseguida.

Otros textos de la Pirámide no parecen confirmar esta exégesis: 

"Caído es Horus por su ojo impotente

Seth por sus testículos".

"Horus ha llorado por su ojo

Seth ha llorado por sus testículos ".

Sin embargo, no hay ninguna declaración aquí que Horus castró a Seth después o en la pelea, o que Seth golpeó a Horus en el ojo o lo sacó. Consideramos estos y otros textos similares como una condensación drástica de la historia; No representan la situación después de un sangriento combate.

Un pasaje del famoso capítulo 17 del Libro de los Muertos brinda más detalles sobre el encuentro de Horus y Seth. Griffiths lo llama "un lugar clásico para el ojo lesionado". Como nuestra interpretación de los desarreglos de Horus y Seth difiere un poco de la visión habitual, parece un buen plan tomar este texto clásico como punto de partida. El hombre muerto dice que ha llevado a cabo un ritual particular, el llenado del ojo. El comentario teológico trata el trasfondo mitológico de este ritual:

"He llenado el ojo, después de que se hizo pequeño, en esta noche del conflicto de los dos hombres. ¿Cuál es el conflicto de los dos hombres? Ese es el conflicto de Horus y Seth. Después de que él (Seth) había causado una descarga en la cara de él. Después de que Horus había quitado la fuerza (sexual) de Seth. Fue Thoth quien hizo esto con los dedos ".

Según el comentarista, el hombre muerto ha llenado el ojo imitando a Thoth. El ojo no se hizo pequeño en la noche del combate, sino que se llenó esa noche. El relleno, que Thoth fue el primero en realizar, se repite ritualmente tan pronto como el ojo se ha vuelto pequeño. Derchain comenta en un estudio de mitos y ritos sobre la luna: "Para el Egipcio, el universo está bajo la amenaza constante de desintegración, y es el esfuerzo constante de los rituales lo que evita que los fenómenos de destrucción se manifieste de manera demasiado abierta".

Parece que el ojo se hizo pequeño no como resultado del conflicto de Horus y Seth, sino como resultado de los actos homosexuales entre estos dos dioses. Los textos que se refieren a las relaciones homosexuales entre Horus y Seth se conocen desde hace mucho tiempo. Griffiths dio una encuesta del material. Hasta ahora, esta relación homosexual ha sido considerada como un episodio aislado. Sin embargo, me parece que forma parte integral y un vínculo indispensable en el mito.

Seth provoca una descarga de la cara de Horus. Grapow traduce  m[ḫt]wdỉt.f  śṯ𐦨 m ḥr n Ḥr “cuando (después) arrojó tierra en la cara de Horus.” Kees reemplazó la palabra disputada śṯ𐦨 por “heces”. Heerma van Voss dice: "después de haber causado daños en la cara de Horus". Una de sus razones es que Gunn concluyó definitivamente del papiro médico Ebers que śṯ𐦨 debía traducirse como "herida". En una nota, sin embargo, Heerma van Voss menciona que Von Deines y Westendorf ahora traducen śṯ𐦨 como "Secreción (una herida)". Esto parece destruir la fuerza de la argumentación de Gunn. Faulkner, sin embargo, todavía da "lesiones" por śṯ𐦨w. No parece necesario separar esta palabra tan lejos del verbo śṯ𐦨. "arrastrar", "sacar" e intransitivo: "fluir". Esto no solo se aplica a los lugares donde aparece la palabra en los textos funerarios, sino también a pap. Millingen 2, 5. Allí, el rey muerto le dice a su hijo, después de dar detalles sobre el atentado contra su vida: “He aquí que śṯ𐦨w tuvo lugar cuando estaba sin ti antes de que el tribunal supiera que te transmito (autoridad)”. Este no es la “Tentativa de asesinato,” ni la herida, sino morir, ser atraído al inframundo. El hombre que estaba cansado de la vida dice que su ba lo lleva a la muerte. Śṯ𐦨  es una descarga de una herida o, como en este caso, una descarga del ojo, pero no hay necesidad de que el ojo haya sido herido o herido por Seth al golpear a Horus en una pelea real. Pero el diccionario de Berlín transmite la sugerencia de que el ojo está herido al traducir las expresiones ḥkst y nknknt o nkkt como “el ojo dañado” u “ojo lesionado”. Heerma van Voss, sin embargo, ha traducido ḥks como un verbo como “reducir”. No hay duda de que nkkt y nknkt están conectados con nkk “catamite” y nkỉ "ir a la cama." Esto podría indicar que Seth no causó el sufrimiento del ojo de Horus por un golpe, sino por un acto de naturaleza sexual.

La expresión wdỉ śṯ𐦨 parece ser causante de śṯ𐦨. La preposición m a menudo puede significar “adentro”, pero śṯ𐦨 m significa “arrastrar”, “sacar”, “fluir”, etc. El dedo de Seth, es decir, el pestillo del naos, nombrado en otra parte, en un simbolismo más claramente sexual, el falo de Seth, se retira de la cara de Horus. Sin embargo, ¿tiene śṯ𐦨  un significado transitivo en CT IV, 236 a? No se menciona el dedo o el falo como objeto directo. La traducción, entonces, sería: “después de que Seth se haya retirado”, sugiriendo una unidad original de Horus y Seth, o al menos una unión consistente en un abrazo homosexual, que Seth terminó.

Elegimos que fluya el significado intransitivo. El ojo de Horus puede gotear. Problemas líquidos del ojo de Horus. El acto de Seth tiene un efecto desfavorable: el ojo se vuelve pequeño y pierde su fuerza. No es imposible que con la descarga del ojo se entendieran las lágrimas; sabemos de especulaciones con respecto a las lágrimas del ojo.

Es improbable que se pensara que Seth causó la descarga de la cara de Horus en una pelea abierta al golpearlo. Horus no contraataca, pero se apodera de los testículos de Seth. Creemos que esta reacción debe considerarse no solo como un apretón de luchador, sino como un acto de naturaleza sexual. Sabemos que, desde el punto de vista Egipcio, un afecto en el ojo puede ser causado no solo por un golpe, sino también por una violación. El coito de Seth con Anat, quien “está vestida como un hombre”, resulta en una enfermedad. Seth sufre de su frente y su ojo. En un texto aducido como paralelo por Gardiner, es la víctima de la violación quien sufre en la cabeza y los ojos. Según la interpretación de Gardiner, los Egipcios pensaban que el mtwt, que se puede traducir como “semilla” y como “veneno”, fluía a la cabeza y los ojos y causaba dolor allí.

Sin embargo, la enfermedad de Seth también podría haber sido causada por la pérdida de semillas, es decir, la pérdida de jugos vitales. El punto de vista griego puede ser de interés aquí. "Aristóteles nos dice que la región alrededor de los ojos era la región más fructífera de la cabeza de la semilla (“más sórdida” σπερμτιχώτατσς), señalando los efectos generalmente reconocidos en los ojos de la indulgencia sexual y las prácticas que implican que la semilla proviene de líquido en el región del ojo. Es este líquido de los ojos que Homero llama αίών y que tres veces dice “desperdicios” o “fluye hacia abajo” mientras el esposo o la esposa lloran, anhelando el otro”. Estos datos griegos pueden ayudar a explicar más que este texto Egipcio, también confirman nuestra sospecha de que el ojo de Horus se hizo pequeño como resultado de los actos homosexuales entre Horus y Seth.

Las historias de la estela Metternich y Socle Behague, que relatan cómo Horus fue mordido por serpientes venenosas y escorpiones, encajan con la idea de actos homosexuales por parte de Seth. La intención de los textos es ciertamente evocar resultados perjudiciales de las mordeduras de estas criaturas dañinas, pero el trasfondo mitológico es que el malvado Seth abusó sexualmente del niño Horus. Una mujer consuela a la desesperada Isis: “Horus está protegido contra la malicia de su hermano. Sus seguidores no lo hieren. Busque la razón por la que sucedió esto, entonces Horus vivirá para: su madre. Ciertamente, un escorpión lo ha picado o una serpiente malvada lo ha mordido”. Isis teme, sin embargo, que el autor no sea una serpiente o escorpión común. Ella grita: “He aquí, Horus está angustiado a causa del veneno [es decir, semen). La travesura es obra de su hermano.” Ella ya había observado: "el inocente niño huérfano había humedecido las orillas con líquido de sus ojos [!] Y saliva de sus labios". Los hechizos terminan: "Tus manos te pertenecen, Horus. Tu mano derecha es Shu, tu mano izquierda es Tefnet; ellos son los hijos de Re. Tu vientre te pertenece, Horus; Los hijos de Horus, que están en él, no reciben el veneno del escorpión. Tu fuerza te pertenece, Horus, la fuerza de Seth no prevalece contra ti. Tu falo te pertenece ... "

A medida que se enumeran una serie de partes del cuerpo, preferimos no traducir phty como "fuerza", sino mencionar la traducción de Sander Hansen: "Tienes tu ano, oh Horus, y el poder de Seth no debería surgir contra ti". En relación con las acciones homosexuales de Seth, uno puede entender esta parte del cuerpo que se menciona especialmente. El fragmento de papiro homosexual encontrado en Kahun muestra que un interés particular en él se atribuyó a Seth. "La Majestad de Seth le dijo a la Majestad de Horus: 'Qué hermosas son tus nalgas' (pḥ(wy)ky").

La fuerza de Seth está aquí, su fuerza sexual. Hintze comenta que en pḥty se escucha el significado accesorio de la potencia sexual, en contraste con tnr, que solo significa fuerza física.

El "veneno del escorpión" es la semilla de Seth. De un fragmento de papiro publicado por Griffiths en su libro, vemos que existía el concepto de que Seth había descargado su semilla en el cuerpo de Horus:

"La semilla de Seth está en el vientre de Horus ya que Seth la ha emitido contra él".

Se sugirió anteriormente que la toma de los testículos por parte de Horus no era simplemente un acto de hostilidad no dirigida hacia Seth. Esta acción aparece en una luz muy particular si también miramos el texto del fragmento de papiro encontrado en Kahun y de las "Contiendas de Horus y Seth", que tratan de las relaciones homosexuales de los dos dioses. Es comprensible que investigaciones anteriores no enfatizaran esta homosexualidad. Los textos relevantes a veces se publican en una traducción latina y, por lo tanto, se aíslan del todo. De hecho, fueron solo los llamados cuentos populares o papiros mágicos los que proporcionaron un relato circunstancial. Sin embargo, sería un error concluir que la visión homosexual de la lucha entre Horus y Seth es una elaboración posterior y no religiosa del antiguo mito sagrado. Los primeros datos son escasos e incompletos. Según un texto de la Pirámide, Thoth salió de Seth. Esto implica la idea de las relaciones sexuales entre Horus y Seth y las manipulaciones con la semilla de los dos dioses que se informan en textos posteriores. No parece probable que tal afirmación de hecho mítico haga que el mito de Horus y Seth se desarrolle en la dirección de la homosexualidad. Sin embargo, aquellos que piensan que el mito del conflicto de Horus y Seth puede derivarse de una guerra histórica entre dos grupos de personas les resultará difícil admitir que la disputa entre los dos dioses estuvo imbuida de homosexualidad desde el principio. Van Baaren comenta que en la mitología Egipcia, a diferencia del griego, apenas encontramos disputas entre los dioses. El conflicto entre Horus y Seth sería una excepción. Esta declaración requiere algún comentario. El conflicto se convirtió en un caso tan aislado en las descripciones de la mitología Egipcia, porque su naturaleza no se entendía. La pelea no fue reconocida como un juego esencialmente erótico con los inevitables conflictos que esto implica. Como resultado, el conflicto siempre fue representado como de naturaleza bélica. Ciertas fuentes egipcias, e.g. el mito de Horus de Edfu, de hecho, ofrece un incentivo para considerarlo. No parece haber ninguna razón para dividir el mito en una versión esotérica y exotérica. Aunque la inclinación homosexual parece haberse encontrado en Egipto, ciertamente no ocupó el mismo lugar allí que en Grecia. Podemos suponer, por lo tanto, que muchos Egipcios estaban acostumbrados, como lo estamos nosotros, a no acentuar los rasgos homosexuales del mito de Horus y Seth o interpretarlos en términos de un conflicto militante.

Si realmente fue la experiencia de un conflicto militante, en este caso las guerras antes de la unión del país, que dio origen al mito de Horus y Seth, entonces es extraño que estas guerras solo se reflejen en la batalla de los dioses Horus y Seth y no en otra parte de la mitología Egipcia. También sigue siendo inexplicable, por qué estas guerras están relacionadas en términos inequívocamente sexuales como el robo de testículos.

Ya comentamos que los egipcios no representaban a Seth como un eunuco. Sabemos por los "Contiendas de Horus y Seth" que Horus le roba a Seth sus testículos, no en el sentido de que lo castró, sino que intercepta la semilla de los testículos de Seth. Evita que Seth introduzca la semilla en su cuerpo.  El diccionario de Berlín tiene diez palabras egipcias diferentes, que se traducen indiscriminadamente como "testículos". Los determinantes, a menudo de gran ayuda en la traducción, en este caso han ocasionado una reducción innecesaria de significado. Las palabras egipcias con los testículos como determinantes no significan invariablemente la parte corporal concreta, como lo demuestra un pasaje del pap. Jumilhac Thoth grita cuando ha atrapado a Baba teniendo conexión con una puta: ỉśwy. k r w𐦨. Obviamente, no son los testículos mismos, sino la potencia sexual la que desaparece. Este ejemplo puede servir para demostrar que el robo de la Śtš accidentada no implica necesariamente la castración de los testículos. También puede representar figurativamente la ablación del poder sexual.

El papiro encontrado en Kahun, que data del M.K., relata que Isis le dio instrucciones a Horus sobre lo que debía hacer, si Seth volviera a acercarse a él con lasciva intención:

"La Majestad de Horus le dijo a su madre Isis . . . Seth desea (?) Tener relaciones sexuales conmigo. Y ella le dijo, ten cuidado, no te acerques a él por eso; cuando te lo mencione de nuevo, dile para él: Es demasiado difícil para mí debido a (mi) naturaleza (?), ya que eres demasiado pesado para mí; mi fuerza no será igual a la tuya, le dirás. Entonces, cuando él haya dado tu fuerza, coloca tus dedos entre tus nalgas. He aquí, te dará . . . He aquí, lo disfrutará en extremo (?) "...

Engañado por este truco, Seth pierde su semilla. Según las "Contiendas de Horus y Seth", Isis arroja la semilla de Seth al agua. Incluso hasta un período tardío encontramos el motivo del robo del poder viril, salvo por castración. Jumilhac leemos que Isis, que se había convertido en una puta, corrió delante de Seth hasta que perdió su semilla. Entonces Isis lo ridiculizó por esta eyaculación.

El motivo de la castración también aparece en la pap. Jumilhac. No solo los testículos, sino también el falo están cortados. El que hace esto, sin embargo, no es Horus sino Anubis, quien en otra parte de este papiro es una forma del propio Seth. Parece demasiado descabellado pensar en la auto emasculación aquí. Seth sufre castración como toro en Saka. Su nombre en esta ciudad es Bata. En la pap. d'Orbiney del N.R., nos transmite la historia de los dos dioses Bata y Anubis. Vandier toma esta historia para representar la versión del mito de Horus y Seth actual entre los adoradores de Seth. En este "Cuento de los dos hermanos", Bata se castra después de que la esposa de su hermano ha intentado seducirlo y se va a lugares extranjeros.

Parece haber cierta incertidumbre en la antigüedad sobre los efectos de la castración. Onians concluye de varios textos que los griegos consideraban los testículos no como la fuente, sino como un reservorio de semillas. Seguiría, que la castración no se consideraba una destrucción definitiva de la virilidad. La auto emasculación por razones religiosas no habría sido "el otorgamiento de los recipientes de semillas al por mayor a alguna deidad (ver Frazer Golden Bough, Attis I págs. 268 y sigs.) O la pérdida de la virilidad o la evitación de la contaminación, sino la conservación positiva de la semilla, las cosas de la vida, las cosas del alma ... "Attis, que se castró, no sufrió la muerte de la manera normal. Su cuerpo no se descompuso y su cabello continuó creciendo. En la analogía de esto, tal vez podamos entender las metamorfosis de Bata, que no muere de manera normal sino que renace continuamente, hasta que alcanza el estado más alto posible según las normas Egipcias, la del rey. Se presta especial atención al corazón de Bata.

En opinión del médico y egiptólogo Jonckheere, es evidente por su arte que los Egipcios estaban al tanto de los cambios corporales resultantes de la castración antes o después de la pubertad. Nadie dudaría de la diferencia. Sin embargo, el problema es en qué consistía la diferencia. ¿La conservación de las cosas de la vida o del alma realmente implica un mayor grado de virilidad? No es superfluo considerar este problema. Podría haber existido la idea de que el semen, producido en el corazón o en cualquier otro lugar, no se podría anular si se hubieran extraído los testículos. Esta podría ser una excelente explicación de la parte viril desempeñada por Seth en la religión Egipcia como dios del trueno y la guerra, mientras que comúnmente se cree que fue castrado según los Egipcios. Sin embargo, el texto Egipcio tardío citado a continuación muestra que los egipcios pueden llamar buey a un toro viejo impotente. Se dice del dios de la luna Khons:

“La luna es su forma. Tan pronto como se rejuvenece a sí mismo, es un toro brillante (ardiente), cuando es viejo, es un buey (ś’b), porque solo ocasiona oscuridad. Sin embargo, su luna creciente hace que los toros se cubran, lleva a las vacas a la pantorrilla y hace que el huevo crezca en el cuerpo”.

El hombre castrado, entonces, no es más, sino menos viril que un hombre en la flor de su vida. Se deduce que el papel viril de Seth está en conflicto con el concepto de que fue castrado.

Un mito real sobre la castración del dios de la luna no está incluido en la religión Egipcia. Al usar la palabra buey, el escritor simplemente estaba expresando que el dios de la luna, envejecido, había perdido sus poderes viriles. El siguiente texto anterior relacionado con Khons, citado a continuación, no habla de castración, sino de pérdida de semen. No habiendo razones fisiológicas serias para hacer una distinción esencial entre la castración y el robo de semillas, ya que los testículos eran un reservorio de semen, un motivo podría ser reemplazado por el otro. Esto también puede ayudar a explicar que la pérdida de semilla de Seth durante las acciones homosexuales antes del conflicto, podría modificarse luego en el concepto más integral de castración durante o después de la batalla, cuando Seth ya no era adorado como el dios viril del trueno y la guerra. La diferencia entre la pérdida de semilla y la castración parece no ser cualitativa, sino cuantitativa.

"Soy Khons ... soy el único, el fruto de los dioses ... este dios que no muere el día de los carneros cuando la semilla (śtt) fue quitada de este espíritu, cuando se separó-t de Heliópolis, cuando separó a Horus de Seth ".

Derchain, quien ha discutido este texto en su estudio sobre la luna mencionado anteriormente, piensa que el "día de los carneros" es el día 15 del mes. La pérdida de semen tiene lugar entonces, porque la luna comienza a menguar y pierde sus poderes viriles. VIII, 74 (ver arriba) esto se expresa en términos de castración y edad. El día 15 del mes se llevó a cabo el ritual de llenar el ojo. Siguiendo un cálculo diferente, basado en las seis partes del ojo de Horus, se llevó a cabo el sexto o séptimo día. El ritual de llenar el ojo de Horus también está relacionado con el conflicto entre Horus y Seth por el comentarista en BD 17: Seth ha abusado sexualmente de Horus, y Horus ha engañado a Seth. De ese modo se han desperdiciado poderes cósmicos. El acto homosexual de Seth amenaza con convertir el cosmos en caos.

BD 17 no cuenta explícitamente la secuela del mito. El hombre muerto solo dice que está restableciendo el orden cósmico imitando a Thoth. La forma en que esto se hizo en el mito está relacionada en los "Contiendas de Horus y Seth". En este texto, Derchain ha encontrado la historia del origen de la luna.

Habiendo aprendido del jardinero de Seth que Seth solo come lechuga, Isis toma la semilla de Horus y la extiende sobre la lechuga. Presumiblemente, Seth está representado como un come lechuga, porque este vegetal se consideraba afrodisíaco. A través de esta artimaña de Isis, Seth queda embarazado. Es víctima de su propio deseo de disfrute sensual. Por orden de Thoth, el dios de la luna, la semilla de Horus aparece de la frente de Seth como un disco de oro, y ocupa su posición sobre la cabeza de Seth. Solo ahora Seth descubre que no Horus, sino que él mismo es víctima del engaño, y se pone furioso. Extiende su mano para agarrar el disco. Pero Thoth es demasiado rápido para él y lo coloca como un adorno sobre su propia cabeza. Este disco de la luna es el mismo que el ojo cuando está lleno, o el dios Thoth en persona. Según un texto de la Pirámide, el ojo de Horus se toma de la frente de Seth.

Thoth salió de Seth. La forma de las palabras indica que No fue engendrado por Seth. Thoth le dice a Osiris: "Yo soy el hijo de tu hijo, la simiente de tu simiente, el que separó a los dos hermanos". Como surgió de Seth, se le llama "el cortador". Se ha sugerido la hoz de la luna en relación con este nombre. El ojo de Horus también puede ser representado como "el grande en magia, el cortador, que salió de Seth".

Thoth también se llama "el hijo de los dos rivales" o "el hijo de los dos señores". O "el hijo de los dos señores, que salió de la frente". Luego está el conocido texto de Edfu, que confirma los datos dispersos anteriores de períodos anteriores:

"Te traigo las hermosas plantas verdes en las que has emitido tu semilla, que está escondida allí, que el afeminado se ha tragado. Tu semilla le pertenece y él concebirá para ti un hijo, que saldrá de su frente. "

Estas palabras están dirigidas a Min-Horus; el "afeminado" (ḥmty-homosexual) es una designación despectiva de Seth; El hijo es Thoth.

En otras partes, Thoth es llamado el "hijo de Re"; "hijo mayor de Re" o "el que salió de Re". Estos términos tienen como objetivo formular la relación entre el dios del sol y el dios de la luna, y no tienen en cuenta otros aspectos.

Un himno a Thoth dice: 

"... ven y mira a Thoth, quien apareció en su corona, que los dos señores le hicieron rápido en Hermópolis".

Como hemos visto, Horus y Seth no suelen imaginarse trabajando juntos en concordia. Los dos combatientes dan a luz al dios de la paz. Aparece y se coloca entre los dos dioses, intercediendo así en la lucha y terminando la relación homosexual. Él hace la separación entre los dos dioses. El tercero termina la discordia de los dos dioses.

Este mito del nacimiento de Thoth o el ojo de Horus o la luna puede estar adornado con varios detalles. Un pasaje en un papiro de Leiden muestra que Seth no siempre está representado como tan inocente como para no darse cuenta de que ha comido la semilla de Horus:

Meteor hammer returned, Alrik held the chain near the ball as he turned it idly while the loose end piled beneath him, the grip still in his hand. With a turn of his wrist, the grip sent a pulse that turned the blunted orb into a spiked ball - the poison might be overkill, but the witch had no intention of dying out here in the woods or allowing Luna to succumb either.

Luna lunged and tore into the creature, something that Alrik wasn't expecting as she gouged out the wolf's eyes and tore apart its snout, he waited for a beat, watched the blood spill, and heard the beast howl through the blighted tendrils of infection. In his mind he saw a flame, the world passed it by and burned away one at a time. The turning of his hammer slowed, the cries of the wailing monster were further away now.

An opening emerged, and the spiked meteor hammed came crashing down upon the beast's skull. The warg's head was pushed immediately into the ground with a sickening crunch, the spikes protruding from one of the shredded sockets of its eyes, gray matter spewing amid the blighted tendrils. Alrik turned his wrist again and the spikes retracted before he tugged on the chain and pulled the hammer back toward him - gathering and coiling the length of it again.

"Dead is dead." Alrik said with some finality, "Where does a woodcutter learn to fight like that?" He asked, for a moment he'd have thought she was more beast than a person.

Alrik threw his hammer with great aim and it was as if a chisel and hammer was used to separate bone within the shoulder of the diseased beast, a sick snap revibrated through the air and a distressed yowl of pain indicated that their blow had done damage. Salivating with black tendrils of ichor from the Warg's mouth communicated quickly that the Darkspawn was not the type to give up when it was outmanned but with rather take whatever aimed to kill it down with him to the pits of hell.

Her hatchet is still embedded in the Warg's shoulder as it stalked without aim, made mad and dizzy by the pain and she only has one weapon left, a small knife that Alessia had gifted her and even as the Darkspawn wheezed through broken lungs, Luna surged forward and thrust her knife into the left eye of the Warg before pulling it back covered in blood and foul blight and sought to purge it into it's right eye socket.

To dull the senses meant that it would have a harder time trying to find them before death came for it and with her final blow, she severed it's nose from its snout.
