1. What would prevent you from following someone?

The following counts for both preventing me from following but also as being a reason for me to unfollow, but blogs that make it obvious that they appreciate reassurance and praise on a relatively common basis. I don’t think that I need to specify frequency more specifically than that, as I think most of us have been familiar with at least one of those blogs, but in essence, ones that make it very apparent that it’s going well beyond reassurance or even constructive criticism. In that light, I’ve also resorted to a tendency of unfollowing and/or avoiding blogs that post about lack of interaction and going even beyond that— man, this takes me back to the TVD days, but make posts with the intention or outcome of guilt tripping people for not interacting with them. I don’t know about others, but while I’m very for helping people out and loving to do so, there’s a line. And honestly, we’ve all been in the situation of having a new blog or muse, even starting in a new fandom, sanity knows that I’ve done it quite a fair bit of times, some very intimidating fandoms and some less so, but if you make an effort, I promise that people, unless they’re less than decent individuals, will interact with you. But yes, seeing either of those will demotivate me immensely. I’m patient, but there are things I simply don’t feel like witnessing any longer than I have to, anymore.

I’m a very firm believer that the line between fiction and reality is a whole lot thicker than people like to make it out to be. What bugs me, is that people who claim this and similar are the ones being labeled as absolutely mad or crazy? While what I’m doing is essentially stating that, let’s speak for myself here (though would hope many would have a tendency to agree), I believe people to be somewhat decent enough of human beings with at least some common knowledge as to identify that authors authors don’t have some need to indulge in horrible nightmares of fantasies when they walk out of their front door. I like to believe that people understand that fiction is fantasy, because if they don’t— then I think humanity has a lot more problems than we think it does.

This one’s actually very short and incredible simple: public addressment of people’s private problems. Listen, your private problems with someone are your private problems with someone. And any discontent over private concerns do not need any public vendetta or showings of any sort of spite. Tumblr is not Jerry Springer, no matter how much it seems to act as if it wants to be.

This growing occurence to want to take a canon character and ‘change’ them because people don’t believe that they were ‘done justice’ or that the author ‘didn’t write them the right way’. Here’s my thing in regards to this— an author wrote a character a specific way, leave them be. Because here’s a thing, change even the tiniest of details, no matter of major or minor, it will drastically change the character throughout their years of existence. You can’t just take out an event that happened to them or any essence of their being, because a character is, pretty much, a human being on a page; what counts for us in theory, counts for them as well. So everything from their opinions, to their actions and words, have molded them into who they are at the end of the franchise they’re in. And if something drew you to them in the first place, that is because somehow, they touched you or caught your interest. And you know what that means? That you liked the character in the first place. It’s just, in a place that likes to talk of how important things are, major or minor, people sure seem to think that changing aspects of a life is quite the insignificant matter.

  IT’S LIKE WAVES CRASHING ON ROCKS. Almost brutal in its force, a collision that only looks like two people  (  brothers, just about to part  ) hugging each other. Rodrik’s grip is one breath away from being crushing and causing pain  ——  fitting, for a boy that looks more comfortable around weapons and broken bones than anything else, except maybe the sea itself. He shoves him away only to reach out again, trapping his head between the curve of his elbow, then ruffling his hair with his knuckles. Rodrik is leaving for battle, there is a chance they will never see each other again  (  not here, at least, not before entering the Halls under the Sea  ) and still, his eyes are dry, no trace of worry in them. If he dies he will be honored, after all, allowed to feast with their greatest warriors and the Grey King himself  ——  there is nothing to fear from death, that is one of the principles of their religion and Rodrik doesn’t doubt it, never has.   « Wait for my glorious return, brother. »

             he was far too drunk to comprehend who was and was not an appropriate person for him to be laying his head on. the answer in the iron halls was probably ( no one ) but it wasn’t as if harras had ever been one to shy away from a physical touch he nuzzles his head into his cousin’s shoulder just letting the warmth from the greyjoy soak in.               it reminded him a lot of ( rodrik’s shoulder ) now that his eyes were closed and he was just listening to maron’s voice. when had the younger boy gotten so old ? well around the same time harras had but it all seemed to strange, he’d never considered maron as old before. he presses a kiss to the other’s cheek for a moment, a simple gesture of appreciation for the kin before returning to his position and letting the conversation drone on half paying attention. harras often paid little heed to the conversations of sailing stories unless they were from men, far greater than himself. victarion or euron greyjoy for example... not these lowborn sailors.

but he was used to playing nice ( he’d had to do it his entire life of course he was used to playing nice ). but maybe he was used to playing nice ten or so ales ago. right now, harras wasn’t sure he could find his sea-legs, and that’s considering he’d been born with them.                a hand comes up and ruffles maron’s hair for a moment as he pulls back enough to just look at his kin. “ for someone raised by ‘re enemies, y’aint bad. ” he laughs a little. a genuine laugh is hard to come by out of harras, but he can’t help it with the way maron’s looking at him as if he’s gone completely mad. he might have. he tries to get up and the greyjoy has to catch him, not because harras slips, but rather he’s seen people intoxicated as badly as he feels and rather knows that he should not have the coordination he can feel in his muscles, so he fakes the fall so maron can play hero. 

once he’s back on his feet he adjusts his clothes slightly, puts his hands on the dark haired greyjoy’s chest and gives him a kiss. it’s rather fitting for the rescue. and harras feels like turning in and that’s a good way to make an exist. once he’s done, he quickly jumps out of reach before the boy can throw an axe at his head ( hell knows harras would have if maron had done the same ). “ i’ll be in my chambers. ” his eyes catch the greyjoys, and he pauses. suddenly his heart feels heavy, and the joy and light hearted laughter that had been held in his eyes vanishes. maron’s eyes remind him of alannys’, and of rodrik’s. his throat clenches, the ale is starting to make his stomach weak.                  “ goodnight. ” he tries to ignore the voice crack as he stumbles his way into the hall. tears already verging.

               Sansa raises her eyes from the hotspring she’d been staring at to see the Ironborn who had come into the clearing. “Maron. This is the godswood... Where we go to find peace or pray.” She had been thankful for the quiet after the battle. While Winterfell had been ravaged and burned, scars showing everywhere, the godswood had been untouched. It was as if she’d gone back in time almost.

2. Do you have any controversial headcanons that go against what is generally accepted by the fandom? Do you incorporate this into writing your muse or keep it to yourself?

Considering the amount of Ezio/Leonardo shipping in the franchise, I’ll say Ezio’s sexuality is a topic on which I disagree that the fandom will likely not always be appreciative of. But this was actually one of the very first ‘unpopular opinions’ I shared on this blog. Anyone who knows me even the tiniest bit, knows that I’m exceptionally strict when it comes to following canon and that I don’t stray from what the material offers me. I’m an analyzer at both heart and mind levels, which means that no matter what it tells me, I’ll go with it without any debate. And if I need to do my research as to honor anything I’m unfamiliar with (sexuality, race, opposite views from mine, etc.), I’ll do it. Anyway, I feel that both the games and novels are pretty clear on this despite them never going; ‘Ezio is heterosexual’. In honesty, you often don’t even need to do such a thing, as sexuality is a part of how you react to people and the ones who want to or are interested in seeing, will see the inclination. But yes, the fandom seems to generally make Ezio bisexual, which is their decision and game, but I don’t agree with it as I find nothing to substantiate it with. And I’m very much a believer of, all sexualities are different within themselves. A gay character is a gay character, just like a straight character is straight and a bisexual character is bisexual, there are differences between all three.

5. What is an aspect of your muse’s canon material or canon existence that you never had the opportunity to explore but really want to?

As corny as this may sound to those familiar with the franchise, I want to explore the entirety of his relationship of Caterina Sforza, just to be able to get into his head. It’s not that I ship them, I don’t exactly sway either which way on that canon ship, but it’s more so that I feel the need to talk about them and feel out his reactions, if that makes sense. She as a character has such pivotal influence on in his mindset at the time his path crosses hers more commonly, yet at the same time— it feels as if she didn’t at all, not on a long-term basis. So as bizarre as it may be for me to mention a ship, or at least a character that means half of a ship for him, I’d like to write him around her, myself, with the knowledge I like to think I’ve acumulated on him throughout the years.

   THERE’S STILL STRENGHT IN HIS ARMS, even if they are thinner than years past, and Aeron uses it to hold Maron tight. It is so much more than just a protective embrace  ——  it’s their God’s own watery arms, taking him back, stripping him of the lord of light’s false beliefs that surely tried to take root in Maron’s mind. The boy is strong, a true ironborn, he knows, there is no doubt where is faith stands. Still, he was so young when he was taken to Dragonstone and lies can be persuasive in not friendly environments. Enduring must have been difficult.

Arya hopes Maron Greyjoy knows other tongues though... for she only barely speaks another.
