our Final Boss concept was that snoke was working on a magical item that like. corrupted all force users to Be Evil, just like how he canonically corrupted young ben solo’s brain as a trial run. ben’s redemption is actually well-paced so by the time all the force users in the main cast are aware of this threat and sensing themselves getting corrupted ben is freaking out like “im going to become evil again oh shit” and rey just keeps telling him to go hang out with chewbacca and calm down

just spent three hours verbally outlining a revised star wars sequel trilogy with several nerd friends and i love our version of ben solo that doesn’t exist

#ironically ben is immune to the corruption and just doesn’t trust himself #until he realizes that his emotions make him strong in a good way #and his lightsaber becomes less fucked up and unstable but stays red >:)#he fakes his death and abandons the dark persona at the end of movie 2 when he leaves the first order to see his critically injured mom #she actually dies but only after she gets to see her son and talk to him #and he ends up pretending to die and going off in the falcon with chewie in a total identity crisis and mourning both of his parents #everyone else has arcs too i was just the main ben solo consultant #we also kept luke alive the entire time #in movie 3 he tracks down ben and chewie and then the knights of ren track them all down #and ben has to choose between his evil past and a potential better future #offers the knights a chance to change sides which they refuse #and so he fights them like in ros #and luke joins in and saves ben and they finish the fight together #jedi academy closure ✨
