i cant link to it on here because it would reveal my full name publicly but you can just make your own! i included facts about the percentage of trans kids that experience anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts, and how gender affirming care significantly lowers those numbers. all of this was taken from the trevor project website!

i also included some stuff about transgender people across history and in different cultures.

i finished it off with a slide about the transgender genocide currently taking place in america and spreading to the UK.

you could make versions of these for autism and aspec people too!

im very sorry that you are experiencing so much invalidation and misunderstanding from your family, i understand how that feels. i hope this technique can help you to teach them a bit about your identities. most of the time when people say mean things about an identity, it is simply because they are misinformed. getting angry and upset is perfectly understandable, but it may make them feel even more antagonised and justified in their bigotry. explaining things to them calmly and simply, with graphs, diagrams, and real data can work wonders.

okayh okay HI you said you wanted to know about the freedom/passion dichotomy thing? ive got the graph and i am going to do my best to explain this to you despite me barely having a grasp of it on myself. THIS IS VERY LONG IM SORRY.

so the first thing you need to know is this just started as a way to split my ocs and help me make character arcs and motivations, and it became a little bit of a habit to categorize my favorite characters this way as well. its is in no means a perfect dichotomy, and im constantly looking for ways to refine it, but for now the best way ive found to illustrate it is this:

basically its which think they represent most... or what they value the most? idk its kind of a case-by-case basis and is dictated by Vibe. like I said THIS IS VERY FLAWED so bare with me pls

when i first started watching lmk i sorted all of the characters i knew into either category. this was within the first four/five days are watching so some of it might be.. off? but i think its still worth something as my first impression of the characters, and it'll probably help illustrate what i mean

Wukong -> Freedom Macaque -> Passion Wukong and Macaque have this thing where one has too much freedom and is learning to temper that with passion (wukong) and the other has too MUCH emotion and is trying everything he can to gain true freedom (macaque) (this is true even when he isn't under LBD's control but is esp prevalent then). they each value the opposite thing they stand for and are trying to be more like the other, without even realizing it. MK -> Freedom Dont get me wrong! He very much has passion! He holds a lot of emotion in that body! but a lot of that passion is the passion for freedom. he just wants to be able to be himself and hang out with his friends, he doesn't do well with all this responsibility :C Mei -> Passion Does this need defending? High sense of duty (mainly towards her ancestors and her friends), and so incredibly passionate. and impulsive. She spits fire when angry! Nothing more to be said honestly. Red Son -> Passion Is a really good parallel to Mei, has too much passion to fit in his body. [In the original notes, I noted that he was 'scared of true freedom, but doesn't know that yet. I'm pretty sure this references his relationship to his parents? Smth smth he's too scared of making them angry so he doesn't explore who he is outside of his relation and loyalty to them?] Pigsy -> Passion this man doesn't need freedom when he as his passion for food. what does he need to be free from? he has everything he wants HEART EMOJI! Tang -> ...Its complicated The thing with tang is that he kind of gets like a character arc with like. Responsibility and his care for his friends? He goes from low passion/high freedom to low freedom/high passion over the course of the show. please note that i am insane about him and if i really wanted i could write a whole essay about him. Sandy -> ??? ONCE AGAIN ITS WEIRD. I WISH THE SHOW FOCUSED MORE ON HIS CHARACTER AND BACKSTORY BC I CANT GET A READ ON HIM.

theres not a lot of people without any value of freedom and passion at the same time so the grey area is pretty empty LMAO.

ANYWAYS. I BROUGHT THIS UP TO BEGIN WITH BECAUSE OF THE CHARACTERS WITH EYE SCARS TRIFECTA!!! Basically i see them all of how i described macaque earlier. He's trapped in a situation that he doesn't want to be in, whether it be LBD's control or his situation wiht wukong or his own creepy and standoffish persona/his trust issues making it hard to make real connections with others.

(in contrast wukong loves doing his own thing and just Hanging Out and never stopping his own momentum, but he also has trouble caring about... a lot of things actually. he's just soo easygoing! responsibility harshes his vibe!)

But anyways, macaque's problems are very similar to quackity and tempest's, i feel. Quackity constantly feels trapped by physical threats like techno or dream, and also his own circumstances and trauma (a lot of it from schlatt and manburg). a lot of his actions are him trying to reclaim the freedom he used to feel when he was younger. tempest felt she couldn't be truly herself without her horn, but in trying to get it she got herself in a really bad situation where any wrong move could get her killed.

The passion part comes in play in different ways for them all. Quackity tried not to care about people for a while, but still can never stop being extremely loyal and protective of his friends. Tempest had lots of rage inside her and was so intensely driven to get to her goal. And Macaque canNOT stop obsessing over wukong honestly. All three of them are very passionate, and all three of them are constantly trying to gain more freedom.

This is a super long ask, but thank you for inviting me to ramble about this lmao. I think everyone represents freedom or passion in their own way, and this dichotomy really only matters for characters BUT I THINK ITS FUN. THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TEDTALK!!!!!

8 studying tips for math tests //

1. create overall personalized chapter reviews (chapter concepts, formulas, and common errors) after every chapter when i review i create an overall chapter review, like @tbhstudying‘s review sheet video! it’s like a place to see all the formulas and concepts. if there’s a concept i really don’t understand i search it up and add more to my notes. it’s really personalized so i suggest also putting common errors that you make & how to avoid them so you’ll remember to not make the same mistake! 

2. print online reviews for the chapter or a certain topic so this may just be me but at times i feel that my teacher’s reviews are a lot easier than what the tests actually are or it’s not enough for me lol

searching the topic up like “precalculus vectors review” often comes a lot of reviews from different schools and just doing more problems is extremely helpful. some tips for finding good reviews is adding .pdf and your class (calculus, algebra 1, etc)

3. search the topic up for online diagrams or charts perfect if you want to add them to your notes or if you want to reference it quickly on the day of the test. for example, i often forget the 6 trig function graphs so on days of trig tests i refer back to a photo i saved of the graphs! 

if you search up .pdf in your google search as well, there’s sometimes recaps of the topic (a few pages to look at while studying and before the test)

4. find youtube videos (snazzy tricks) youtube is a great place to get motivation and watch study videos but it’s also a great source for academic vids! i just search up the topic and lots of videos come up whether it’s examples or just a lesson. some of my faves are khan academy & the organic chemistry tutor. also in youtube there’s some videos that teach some really cool tricks (hand tricks), like it seems dumb but it’s actually kinda helpful!! dont forget that if you feel like it’s a bit slow or you don’t have time just put the speed at 1.5x or whatever fits for you!

5. redo homework or review problems that you got wrong 

6. create a list of problems that keep stumbling you create a list of the problems that you get wrong (it’s like your own review) and do them! make sure you understand why you got them wrong :)

7. take pictures of reviews to save on your phone (glance at them beforehand) this is for any subject, but take pics of your short reviews, so you can glance at them before the test! though you have the paper version, according to the situation it may easier to just use your phone. i’m also not too organized so papers get lost and that’s why i like to do this! you can either scan them and keep it in your notes (iOS) or save them in a folder whether it’s a camera roll album or google drive folder! doing tip #1 and this tip is extremely helpful for midterms/finals studying

8. be well rested & eat (especially at lunch) these are just a bunch of tips and you definitely shouldn’t feel the need to do them all!! the most important of them all is to be well rested and eat well. in order to retain memory and test well you need the energy and confidence bc you know you got this! if you study at lunch, make sure you do eat!! meals and sleep are extremely important and will affect your test.

as my math final comes up i just wanted to share these 8 tips! the main this is to just personalize, study according to what you need. i think a lot of the tips apply to other subjects so i hope this helps :) feel free to share any of your tips and give this a like/reblog!

Leona: i feel like she would just have a very classic vodka and coke, she doesnt drink much but when she does, she drinks to get drunk, no use in being fancy. she doesnt even like parties much and def needs to have the buffer of drinking to socialise with a lot of people

Felix (winged guy): tbh i feel like felix would just order the same thing as whoever he's with at the time. he's super outgoing and basically up for anything, so if people are egging him on to try something new, 9 times out of ten he'll have that and more LOL this is why him and Leona are such a deadly combo, opposites in terms of socialisation practices they make each other more chaotic

OKAY SO I FINALLY GOT FAR ENOUGH INTO MML FOR HEINZ TO SHOW UP

as per usual putting this under a cut bc, as always, it got long (and probably isn’t interesting if you’re not into both mml and p&f too)

It was actually really confusing to watch because ive kinda been viewing my s/i for mml and my s/i for p&f as separate entities, but while watching either show (or, well, any show, but i digress) i like to kind of imagine what my s/i would do as the episode progresses, and how it would change? like, real-time self-inserting i guess. is that common or am i weird? aaaaanyway so i kept trying to ping-pong between my mml s/i and my p&f s/i and if they were both there and how they’d react to looking Very Very similar, and so on and so forth. basically just constantly distracting myself. so because of that, i can’t really present my thoughts as an essay until i rewatch the episodes a couple times, so have some bullet points instead

i deadass had to pause the episode and collect myself when phineas and ferb showed up in their tennis machine. if i was pmsing i no doubt would’ve actually started crying. i knew i missed p&f but i dont think i realized how bad i missed the show until they showed up.

cavendish is SO tall?? heinz is 6′2- albeit, he slouches, but that would make him appear at most 3 inches shorter- and cav is a bit taller than him. granted, i haven’t graphed it out or anything, but just from eyeballing it cavendish (standing straight) looks about 4 inches taller than heinz (slouching). if you max out heinz’s slouch and say that he’s 5′11 slouching, that makes cavendish AT MINIMUM 6′3, potentially as tall as 6′5! (i ran it through an online height comparison website, and if cav is 6′3, that makes dakota about 5′10, for anyone curious.)

First off stop being that bitch. The one who didn't do jackshit and is constantly mooching off others for the work. Dont complain and say you were too busy. If you legitimately have an issue with management try talking to a teacher, an older classmate or the guidance counselor. Solve your problems, in math and life and don't be afraid to ask for help in either. In life and on these apps, sometimes there are problems only you can solve

Study groups do help but make sure you know the difference between copying each other and goofing off and actually helping each other and getting work done. Everyone has different learning and teaching styles and it is important to find out what works best for you when it comes to these groups. Though having people with different methods can help you develop skills that pertain to that style.

Quizlet I didnt know about or utilize quizlet until my sophomore year of highschool and I regret it. While quizlet can provide answers, it also provides a very easy an convenient wayk to study. You can make your own flashcards, take tests and quizzes based off those flashcards, hear them verbally, if they arent too long, write in a different language(good for language learning in vocabulary) and you can play games with the vocab. 10/10 I reccomend, especially for memorization and I think the quizlet plus is super cheap.

Photomath I'm really bad at math like not to a worrying amount but like not that good and sometimes I need help. After a certain point you cant ask your parents for help with schoolwork because they have no idea unless they're a mathematician or a math teacher. Photomath can help give you the answer and then show you how to do it but in terms of helpfulness I give it a 4-5/10 because it's kind of vague and unhelpful and it doesn't show you how your teacher teaches it and they'll likely notice. It has graphing help and settings if you're looking for a specific way to solve the problem. It has limitations and can only solve so much. I do reccomend it's calculator if you dont have a fancy one at home. I mostly reccomend this for checking answers. The name refers to being able to take pictures of math problems and scan and solve them. Make sure your handwriting is neat and readable and make sure the equation is correct when it scans, you can edit it by hand too.

Dezmos is a free online graphing calculator that you can access on your school computer and your phone. Idk much about graphing calculators but I'm sure itll be helpful at some point. 7/10 bc I dont use it

Spanishdict is a super helpful translator for learning spanish. If you're writing something and want to double check that its right. I dont reccomend using on all of your Spanish homework or work because sometimes it uses words from different dialects than the one you're learning, but it is super useful if you just need one word and dont trust google translate. 9/10

Brainly is really helpful for those questions you just dont get and I really reccomend, sometimes it's just answers but other times its solutions and indepth explanations on how you get the answer. The brainly plus is expensive in my opinion but kind of worth it and they have it so you can just forward it to your parents and theres like a video that explains it and if they want to pay for it so you dont feel bad or awkward. I reccomend sharing with a friend of group of friends that can collectively pay for it so it doesn't seem as expensive. The brainly plus has a similar feature to photomath where you can take pictures and scan it and itll look for that question or the answers or you can be the first one to ask, it's kind of like a forum 10/10

Slader has textbook answers for a variety of textbooks but doesnt cater to all of them and for this reason I'm giving it a 7/10 like it's useful for checking answers but it's kind of limited in what it has

Sparknotes are great when you get into highschool and have to read Shakespeare and difficult old british literature. It sums up content by chapters in an easy to read way and has a bunch of other features on their website. I think they have study guides and tests that you can take on chapters. They also have a bunch of memes on their social media. 9/10 I dont reccomend not reading the work and just reading the sparknotes, sometimes they glaze over important information or key details.

youtube is great for math but I havent really looked for anything else. YouTube in general is great for anything you're unsure of or need help with. 10/10 sometimes it explains things that my teacher didnt convey too well.

A lot of teachers make videos to teach stuff and let their students review it when they get home so I reccomend looking up whatever you're having trouble with.

Dont put things off until last minute.

Use everything at your disposal, like youtube and tiktok and pinterest to learn things, about school and real life skills.

Dont say no one ever taught you something if you can teach yourself.

Dont make excuses for yourself or others.

Growing up is realizing you need to be your own mom/dad and take care of yourself.

I honestly don't know. I wish I knew how to support or advise this girl. She's too old to attend the support group I went to, and I don't really know that much about NH-L because it's quite different than HL. It was all medical care for me, so you'd think it would be my concern, but whatever. Will her oncologist's office help her to find financial support? How does that even work? What do they do if you can't pay? It would suck if she had to file bankruptcy this early in her life. Won't that keep her from getting a job, a loan for a house, and everything else? She went to USC. Can recent alumni be treated at their hospital for a reduced price? I was treated at UCLA, and I think at UCLA students can get medical care at a reduced cost. At my school I think we can as well. I don't know. You just show your student card. All bills are sent to your parents, so I don't know how it works. What should I tell her? She wants my help. Motorcycle Insurance costs amd monthly payments on a motorcycle for a 17 year old male?

Ok, I know you're just going to tell me that I need to have a car first or that I'm too young to have a motorcycle and I need experience and all that ****. But I'm 17 and I want a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 (which I've been told is a great starter bike) I am a safe and cautious driver, if I get one I'll have a helmet, gloves, pants, jacket, boots, etc. I'll take a class for it (which is required in the state of Fl), I've also already had driver's ed last year and I may take another one. I'm th exact opposite of the douche bag teenager on a crotch rocket with no gear weaving in and out through taffic going 90mph in a 45mph zone. In the state of Fl legally you don't need insurance for a motorcycle but I'll have it anyways. I was thinking of maybe putting down $2-3000 and getting a loan for the rest. My mom said that with a load I have to have full comprehensive coverage because I don't own the bike yet. Can you give me an estimate of how much the insurance would cost for a 17 year old male with driving classes and gear and a 3.8GPA, and I'm only going to school to home or to school to work then home (I don't get out much because I don't have many friends) and I have State-Farm. Also how much do you think the monthly payments will be? I'm working on getting 2 jobs. Please and thank you.
