Oh.
Nintendo out there just casually (kinda) confirming the "descended from humans" and "the wraiths are involved in all of the spaceship crashes" theories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(source)
Okay, they're not really "confirmations" but more like they're officially addressing the different theories that people have about the true nature of PNF-404 and are telling you to keep on speculating on your own time.
Take these translations with a grain of salt since they're machine translations.

Consider this: ghosts are actually exactly what the Fentons think they are.
They're snapshots of a longing so strong, unfinished business so deep it reaches out beyond life. Lingers just a bit longer. And if it happens to meet a dense cloud of ectoplasm (invisible to the naked eye, but omnipresent even in the mortal realm), it coalesces. The ectoplasm fits into the shape of it. Which, when the desire is strong enough, it's got a rough idea of its self-image. This tends to mean a more humanoid figure, though it's more often warped in some way–a self-reflection, skewed by said desire. The warping varies on the dead soul’s perception of themselves, the intensity of their desire, how much time passed after death, and how much ectoplasm was present.
In short… no matter how “normal" a ghost looks or acts, it really, truly isn't human. It's animated ectoplasm with a single goal: an obsession. Nothing else. They're more akin to plants than animals, following a single drive with no emotion. They react to stimuli, recognize threats (including other ghosts), and can even imitate human speech and mannerisms to obtain fulfillment of their obsession.
Not “evil" by any stretch, but they're entirely driven by instinct. A tree doesn't pause to consider the rocks it breaks with its roots. A cordyceps doesn't torture its host for fun, or kill with malice. It just does. It follows code in its DNA to survive and multiply–And ghosts just follow the code in its ectoplasm to fulfill its obsession. The more powerful a ghost, the better it's able to overcome obstacles preventing this–whether through brute force, or manipulation. This power is always directly proportional to the amount of ectoplasm present at the time of formation, and how much time passed since death.
What then, does this mean for Danny? Danny, who's previously come to the conclusion that he's only half-ghost, which surely explains how he retained his mind? His independent thoughts and emotions?
What does this mean for Phantom, who experienced an entire world’s worth of ectoplasm condensed as a singularity, at the exact time of his death? Whose strength only grows and begins to exceed every limit they previously thought possible?
If a ghost was as strong as him… could it mimic a human perfectly? Down to a molecular level?
Could it, in its desire to fill an obsession… trick its own fake mind into thinking it was still human? Or half-ghost?

Did it possible to draw homo erectus, homo longi*denisovan), neanderthal, and homo florensis in a way that's din't looks like racist caricature? Snd I'm zealouself I hanged my site because i forgot my password and I have problem understanding guidelines and email don't coming Can you help? Please. I'm sorry if I ask for too much .
My favorite reconstructions are from Kennis and Kennis, I think they do a beautiful job of making our extinct kindred look lively and personable.
the caricature problem is a result of exaggerated features deliberately making them look less human as a way to make them seem inferior and unintelligent, which is not exclusive to caricatures of extinct hominids.
fair warning for nudity: (for some reason the link embed is not working?? also this site is not well built for mobile, so I recommend viewing it on a computer)
https://www.kenniskennis.com/
but seriously, I adore their version of Lucy the australopithecus, arguably one of our least human ancestral species.
Tumblr media
(image description: a bust photo of a reconstructed australopithecus, which has very dark skin and fur-like black hair on the head, jaw, and shoulders. She looks more ape-like than human-like, but has still been depicted with a warm smile and has her eyes positioned as if she is looking directly at the viewer. end description)
here are some other good reconstruction artists:
and an interview with another artist who mentions some people in the field that he personally looks up to, including all the artists I have already mentioned:

Dear students,
They didn't steal slaves.
They stole scientists, doctors, architects, teachers, entrepreneurs, astronomers, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, etc.
And made them slaves.
Sincerely,
Your Ancestors
•••
Queridos estudiantes,
No robaron esclavos.
Robaron científicos, doctores, arquitectos, maestros, empresarios, astrónomos, padres, madres, hijos, hijas, etc.
Y los convirtieron en esclavos.
Atentamente,

Some sage advice (feat. my ancestors)
I’ve been feeling really, really down & needed a laugh - hope this silly vision I had makes you laugh too. 😂
Grandpére does make a compelling argument lol, though Obaasan is right, too - I try my best to listen to both of them, depending on the situation. 🩵
PS: ahhhhh dang it! Seems as though I messed up the French even looking it up. Pardon moi, French speakers 😅

i wonder if humans develop long term space travel, there will be a circle moment where the first humans meet the last humans.
i mean, the first humans to figure out crossing galaxies used cryosleep to do it, or just rocketing themselves to the very edges of the universe. And since then, the technology improves bit by bit until it's light speed, and the last flight catches up to and wakes the first flight, showing how far they've come.

You can make MK, Mei, Wukong and Macaque knowing Bai he's ancestor who was a dragon reader 💗
Their Dragon! S/O is Bai He's Ancestor
Characters: Monkie Kid, Mei Dragon, Sun Wukong, and Macaque Requester: 💗Anon A/N: In this, Wukong and Macaque are both in a relationship with the Reader, they're not dating one another, and they're trying to rebuild their friendship. ⚠️ Spoilers/Trigger Warnings for: Nothing ⚠️
Disclaimer: Platonic (MK & Mei) - Romantic (Wukong & Macaque)

╚═════ Monkie Kid ═════════════════════════════╝
🙉 You smiled as the others messed around, Wukong floating above Pigsy while he annoyed him. MK held his bandana in his hand as he wrapped himself in his large hoodie, sitting beside you
🙉 Unlike other dragons' human forms, you had a large amount of scales on you, going from your fingers to your neck and your waist to upper feet. You allowed MK to messed with tail you had out, much to his amusement. You were a fascinating creature, that's for sure!
🙉 As he twirled the little tuft of fluff at the end of the tail, you allowed your long hair to flow in the wind, making it look as if your hair joined the sky in a galaxy-pattern
🙉 MK looked at you and down at the others, seeing the little girl, or Bai He as they nicknamed her, and back at you. You guys looked familiar somehow, but why?
🙉 Bai He's creme-colored jacket mixed well with your white-and-purple hanfu, the long sleeves slightly blowing like your hair. She also seemed to have a bandage on her cheek where you had a marking from a demon fight long ago
🙉 MK blinked and cleared his throat, asking you if you knew Bai He before they met the girl. You just chuckled and lifted your hand, putting it on the male's shoulder and answered honestly, no care if it would shock him or not
"Bai He is actually my descendant."
"WHAT?!"

╚═════ Mei Dragon ════════════════════════════╝
🐉 Mei and the others looked away from the argument after hearing MK's yell of shock. They were confused, you guys were just sitting there quietly, so what shocked him so much?
"What's going on?" Pigsy asked.
"Y/N's- Y/N's an ancestor!"
"Yeah? Has been for a while." Wukong said as if it was obvious.
🐉 Everyone else looked at you in surprise, they knew that you were as old as Macaque and Wukong, but they had no idea that at some point you had a child and that bloodline was still existing at their current time
🐉 You smiled and stood up as Macaque and Wukong just watched with bored expressions, knowing something was going to get good soon
"Bai He, please step up to me."
🐉 The young girl looked at you in confusion and carried her cat to you, keeping the feline in her grasp securely as you kneeled down, adjusting your qun skirt as you secured your position
"Young girl, everyone else here is either the age of an ancestor, or one themselves. You are no exception."
🐉 Bai He's eyes widened as stars sparkled in them, her hair bouncing as she anxiously shifted around, her pet meowing in her arms as she moved
"Are you my ancestor?" She asked.
"Correct, Bai He."
🐉 Mei smiled and picked Bai He up from behind, twirling her around before hugging her close to her chest, chanting the same thing over and over as you watched with a content smile
"Dragon-Descendant Twins!"

╚═════ Sun Wukong and Six-Eared Macaque ════════════╝
☀️ Sun Wukong laughed as Mei twirled the young girl around happily, knowing she wasn't the only one with a draconian ancestry coursing through her veins
💜 Macaque just observed with a neutral expression as the two messed around, Bai He asking questions on what she could do as a descendant like Mei
☀️💜 You walked up to the two monkey-men, wrapping your arms around one of their arms each, gifting them both kisses on their opposite cheeks, much to their joy
☀️ Wukong gave a cocky look and hugged you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders and placing his head on the top of your own, attempting to rub his scent onto you
💜 Macaque rolled his eyes and shoved Wukong off you by his head, making you chuckle. The dark-haired man was happy he had beyond-amazing hearing so he could hear the near-mute sound easily
"What was that for?!"
"Don't hog them, remember the agreement, Wukong."
"Fifty-Fifty? Ugh, I knew I'd regret that at some point..."
"Are either of you guys my ancestor too?"
"HUH?!"

Although human civilization on Qefre is a couple of thousand years old, it has developed along idiosyncratic lines due to the existence of a planet-wide teleporter network left behind by the long-departed terraformers. These teleporters are essentially stone rings a couple of meters across that can instantaneously exchange everything in a spherical bubble inside them with a similar bubble inside another teleporter (usually including a flat stone platform that provides a convenient surface to stand on). Although their capacity is limited--you can move a lot more people and certainly far more goods by train or ship than you can by teleporter, even if those conveyances go a lot slower--they allow far-flung cities to cheaply stay in close communication with one another.
The basic political unit of Qefre is not the state but the rashun, a kind of ritual-political association tasked with managing the eruni, the logistics management system that controls access to recovered ancient technology. The terraformers seemed to use the eruni as a kind of basic permissions system to distribute and manage responsibility for the planet-wide terraforming infrastructure and its supporting technology; the powerful nature of the eruni and the need to use them responsibly meant that the planet's human inhabitants quickly developed sophisticated social systems for protecting them against misuse, which inevitably became entangled with questions of political power and competing interests between social groups. Rashun became landholding organizations early in Qefre's history, and soon supplanted most early proto-states in regions of extensive human settlement.
In the modern era, rashun club together with local governments and private political associations into "circles" which undertake most low-level administrative functions; these small-scale circles are in turn grouped into larger planet-wide circles, of which there are about fifty; and these larger-scale circles in turn are grouped into ten loose associations, which collaborate to manage affairs of regional or global interest. Since circles can hold territory basically anywhere within the region of human settlement, there has in practice been a strong pressure toward institutionalizing various forms of collaborative and representative government at all levels in order to prevent an absolutely sclerotic degree of political deadlock strangling economic growth.
Not that this hasn't been an issue in the past; indeed, much of Qefre's history has been an endless series of petty local wars, some rising to the scale of planet-wide affrays, with the fragmented structure of territorial control only serving to increase the amount of chaos when violence did break out. Eventually the largest cities, including all the teleporter-networked ones, got so sick of this state of affairs that they ganged up to completely expel the rashun from their immediate territories, and implemented a "power-sharing" agreement that was really an early form of representative democracy, which came to have a profound influence on the internal administration of the rashun themselves.
When the Western Territories were opened up by the discovery of the teleporter at Ar-Amal, the independent cities and the rashun hammered out a set of agreements to prevent a destabilizing series of landgrabs in the surrounding region; but now that the Territories have a large native-born population, many have begun to grumble that they are simply living under a kind of shared fiefdom, quite different from the actual self-government that the cities in the east--or, indeed, the subjects of the modern, collaborative rashun--enjoy. There is a growing local home rule movement, which envisions something quite different from the governments of the east for itself: exclusive territorial sovereignty, with no role at all for the Delegations in its internal affairs. Opponents argue that this is preposterous: that not even the haughtiest of the eastern cities could get away with demanding complete political autarky. To which the Territorialist answer is that all the eastern cities are equals in political affairs, and their political affairs (and political interests) are irrevocably bound up with their neighbors, in a way that is very different from the subordinated and exploited Western Territories. It seems to be an intractable conflict, where neither side is willing to entertain any notion of compromise, nor is it clear what such a compromise would entail. How it will resolve ultimately is anyone's guess.

Certainly it is a bit depressing how so many otherkin accidentally fall into ecofascism and such because of hating humanity. loathing humans won’t do anything, humans are also an animal species, but also with a unique capacity of altruism and caretaking. A cat does not care that a bird species can go extinct, but humans do, and there is truly something beautiful in humanity. It also alienates us otherkin where our kintypes are actually very close to humanity—drakons are protectors of human houses, pantries, and givers of health. My kintype is bound by humanity yet there is barely any representation for otherkin such as myself.

Shut up, shut up! The Devil May Cry Netflix series is good, it's good!! People are mad cause the characters aren't exactly the same as in the games, cause they think it's "woke", cause Adi Shankar decided to take a set of games and reinterpret it's story to center injustice that happened in the early 2000s and is very much happening NOW, in America, put it against a full alternative soundtrack born from that era's frustration at the government and institutions, and you're mad that your hack and slash game now has politics in it. It always had politics in it!! Also Dante was perfect in that series and I cannot wait for season 2.
