Pizza toppings?
Soda hums, thinking about food always makes him hungry. But, nonetheless... he replies.
Not everybody likes it, but I'm a huge Garbage Pizza fan. Which basically means... every vegetable and meat imaginable. It looks like garbage, but it tastes like heaven.
Any meats you could want, tons of vegetables, extra cheeses, it's a treat! Plus, I like having a bunch of stuff all together. Like some kinda weird mixture of foods.
Although, I ain't real big on pineapples on pizza. (But I'll eat it if I have'ta.)
...I'm hungry. On the plus side, at least I know what I'll be having for lunch today!
Soda folded the paper and put it back in the jar, tapping his pen repeatedly on the counter out of boredom.
#— Hmmm. Yeah. Now I'm just cravin' pizza.#— Not often people ask me that question!#— Whenever we're orderin' pizza for dinner Darry always has to get at least 3 of them. It drives him insane.#— It's 'cuz 1: We eat a lot. And 2: Everyone in the gang likes different toppings. Although most of us ain't real picky.#— Y'know who IS picky though? Steve Randle himself! Haha!#soda likes the weirdass foods#me personally I'm a classic pepperoni kind of guy#he's just weird

♡ How Johnny's Girl Wins the Gang Over ♡
When Darry realizes Johnny's gained some weight. All his life, Johnny's been neglected, forced to get food wherever he can find it. He'll steal it if he needs to and the gang feeds him as much as they can but Johnny still doesn't eat right nearly enough and is a little bit underweight because of it. But when he starts seeing you and you see how hungry he is, well, you start feeding him. Making extra of everything you make at home and telling Johnny that you made it special just for him (because you are doing it for him, anything else is just a bonus).
And when Darry realizes that Johnny's a little healthier and eating better, oh, he just smiles so big. He remembers his mother doing that too, sneaking Johnny food, and he likes you at once for it.
When Two-bit hears you make him laugh. Johnny's a quiet, sad little thing. He laughs, sure, but he's got two laughs. The soft one that he uses the most, a little amused but still with that sadness to him, and his real one. Louder, almost like a little clap of distant thunder, only heard when something makes him shake the sadness off, if only for a moment. Two-bit tries to make him laugh like that as much as he can. And he knows that Johnny's been hanging around you and you seem sweet enough, you're a good girl. But are you good enough for Johnny?
He decides that you are when, one day as he's passing the lot, he hears Johnny's real, true, thunder laugh and looks over. There you are, one hand holding yours and the other holding a cigarette, having dropped his lighter he was laughing so hard. You picked it up for him and lit the cigarette, smiling at him like he was the sun and stars and Two-bit approves right then and there.
When Dally realizes that Johnny doesn't sleep at the lot as often anymore. He makes a habit of going by the lot and checking on Johnny just about every night. Just in case. He doesn't bother him or anything, just makes sure he's okay, but lately, Johnny hasn't been there as often. Dally asks around and hears tell of him in some other neighborhood. Not a real nice one or anything but nicer then theirs, at least. And he's worried so he goes looking for him...only to see Johnny Cade kissing you as you pull him in through your bedroom window. Dally leaves it alone.
But then next day, he does talk to him, Johnny smiling softly as he explains that, yeah, he sleeps there most nights...he'd be there more often but he doesn't want you in any trouble with your folks. Besides, you ask him to come, telling him that you worry about him out in the lot. And Dally likes knowing that you worry about him too and likes you just fine after that.
When Steve sees you take up for Johnny. Because Johnny Cade might be their pet, their pup, everyone's kid brother, but the world doesn't see him like that. In the eyes of everyone else, Johnny's rough. He's hard to look at, especially with that scar now, he hangs around with a bad crowd. He's a greaser. And some boys at school call him such, hitting on you and telling you that you could do better and being real dirty. Johnny's not around. And Steve, knowing that's his buddy's girl, is already walking over when you start off on them.
Oh! What a sight it was! Telling them that Johnny's twice then man they'll ever be and why would you trade in a man like him for little boys who run their dirty mouths? Before they can say anything back, Steve is there and scaring them off, walking you to meet with Johnny.
He likes you, Steve really likes you, because as sweet as you are, you're spitfire too and Johnny needs people like that.
When Soda catches him calling you darlin'. Sodapop Curtis was the second of the gang to know about you being Johnny's girl. Not that anyone actually told him. He stumbled upon the little secret late one night at the park, walking the long way home. There, in the darkness, was a girl. A pretty girl. Wearing a blue dress and playing with something in her hand...a note. And a little flower. Ever the romantic, Soda stopped to smile at the girl, clearly waiting for her lover and wondering who it was.
"Darlin'..."
And it was Johnny Cade that came out of the dark, kissing you so sweetly. Soda slips away without being noticed. But right then, he knew that Johnny loved you truly, he heard it in his voice that night, and he couldn't help but love you a little too (in a big brother sort of way) for making Johnny so happy.
When Ponyboy witnesses you meet for the first time and he knows two things: one, Johnny loves you. And two, you're perfect for him. He didn't used to believe in love at first sight. But something happened that night that changed his mind. He and Johnny were walking home, just talking and laughing a little, too involved in the conversation to notice a girl coming around the corner too. In one moment, you and Johnny had knocked into one another, both of you falling. Johnny caught himself on a lamp post and caught you too with his free hand, pulling you up with him.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I wasn't even watching where I was going, was I? I'm so sorry..." you trailed away, not knowing his name.
"Johnny," he finishes for you, reaching down to pick up the book you'd dropped, which must have been what had distracted you. "Johnny Cade. That's Ponyboy."
"I'm Y/N."
And he can tell from the way you're looking at his friend that you're seeing him, really seeing him for who he is. You see all of the good parts and the sweetness and the loyalty...and you smiled so sweetly at him, it was love, wasn't it? It was love at first sight, just like the movies and the books and all those silly romances.
Now Pony knew that love at first sight was real. Maybe just for Johnny but...it anyone deserved such a thing, it was Johnny Cade, wasn't it?

Sometimes when Ponyboy is talking to his brothers about something he’ll use a word he learned in his english class as if it’s the most normal word in the world to use and his brothers always repeat it back to him, almost wistfully as if they can’t believe it came out of Ponyboys mouth but also because it happens so often that they know just how fed up he gets when they do it.
Pony doing his homework at the table while Soda is keeping him company, flipping through a magazine, “Soda can please stop tapping your shoe incessantly on the floor?”
Soda stops and looks up, making eye contact with Darry who was finishing up the dishes and gives a slight chuckle.
“…Incessantly,” Darry pipes up from behind him, smile and bewilderment evident in his voice.
Ponyboy’s head whips around and he gives the heaviest sigh, “OH MY GOD—ITS A NORMAL WORD!”
And Soda and Darry just erupt into laughter as Pony’s face has become bright red, homework entirely forgotten as he debates about how normal the word “incessantly” is.

hiiiiiii! Can you please do a ponyboy x soc reader but only johnny knows that they're dating and he accidentally lets it slip to the gang while pony and she are out on a date. And then the boys go and crash the date and tease them but soda is lowk so excited and proud
romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone ₊˚⊹ᰔ

your date with pony gets crashed ! | ponyboy curtis x soc ! reader ˎˊ˗
-
as a soc, you were expected to maintain your image by following an abundance of rules set by your parents— the most enforced one being to avoid greasers at all costs. these expectations have been engraved into your mind since the day you were born, not only by your parents, but by your peers as well, neither of whom you understood. if anything, you found it ironic how greasers were labeled ‘reckless troublemakers’ while your friends were shotgunning beers every friday night and jumping any greaser they stumbled across.
in all fairness, you were nothing like the people you surrounded yourself with. in fact, you began to grow fond of a greaser by the name of ponyboy curtis. the two of you shared an interest for poetry and watching the sunset. as your friendship grew stronger over time, so did your feelings for him. he definitely wasn’t what you’d expected from a greaser— sure, he was quite impulsive, but you appreciated his sensitivity and his love for the simpler things in life. he was smart, too. admittedly, you often found yourself asking him for help on your homework assignments. it wasn’t long before the two of you started dating. though it was difficult sneaking in and out of such a highly secured house, you’d risk anything for even just a few minutes with pony. these secret dates were to be kept between three people and three people only: you, pony, and his best friend, johnny.
while you and pony are at the dingo, the rest of the gang is at the curtis house. no one knows of pony’s whereabouts aside from johnny.
soda’s eyes dart around the room, looking for any sign of his little brother. “where’s pony gone off to?”
two-bit scratches his nape, shrugging. “beats me.”
without thinking, johnny blurts out a reply. “pony and y/n are on a da-“ johnny pauses, clearing his throat and praying that no one heard his slip up.
dallas nearly spits out his water, his eyes widening at johnny’s answer. “wait, wait- you talkin’ ‘bout soc y/n?”
“god.. what has pony gotten himself into..?” darry huffs out a sigh, rubbing his temples and shaking his head. though he seems disappointed, soda, on the other hand, applauds pony.
“i guess he learned a thing or two from me,” soda winks, running a hand through his greased hair. “soon enough, the ladies will be all over him.”
two-bit chuckles. “who knew socs were so into pone?”
steve scoffs, shoving his hands into his denim vest. “but of all people, why woulda soc pick him?”
johnny anxiously begins to bite the inside of lips as he inches away from the rest of the gang, embarrassed at himself for letting a secret slip out in such a stupid way.
dal screws the cap of his water bottle on. “y’know, i’ve got an idea,” he steps forward, motioning for the rest of the gang to come closer. “i say we crash his date. ain’t no harm in a little fun.”
the dingo’s always been chaotic— not that it was out of your nature, but there was always a fight going on outside, the screams muffled beneath the jukebox blasting elvis presley. while you and pony are trying to enjoy your dinner, customers are spinning all around the restaurant and dancing along to the music. you’re practically drowning in a sea of leather jackets and greased hair.
you pick at the undercooked burger in front of you, offering pony a reluctant smile. the music was beginning to overwhelm you, and the disgusting food wasn’t helping your situation at all.
“it’s pretty loud in here, isn’t it?”
pony nods, taking a bite out of his fry. “didn’t think it’d be so packed tonight,” he mutters under his breath. “why don’t we go somewhere quiet after dinner? somewhere we can be alone.”
your lips quirk up into a soft grin at his suggestion. “that sounds good! we could-“
before you finish your sentence, you’re interrupted by the sound of someone calling your boyfriend’s name.
“POOOONYYYY, OH LOVER BOYYY!” two-bit storms into the dingo, the rest of the gang following behind him. he approaches pony, twirling his invisible strands of hair like a little girl.
soda lightly nudges your shoulder, a proud smirk across his face. “pony-kid’s a real dreamboat, ain’t he?”
dallas pockets his hands. “y’all had your first kiss yet?”
you peer over dallas’ shoulder, spotting johnny. he’s looking down, very obviously avoiding eye contact with you. you then turn your head back to pony, raising a brow. was this all a set up? did johnny intentionally tell pony’s friends that the two of you were on a date? what the hell was even going on??
pony slouches down from his seat, his head in his hands concealing the red flush washing over his cheeks. of course, he knew the rest of the gang was bound to find out about his relationship with you— he just didn’t think it’d be this way.
‘romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.. i’ll be waiting, all there’s left to do is run’ .ᐟ ₊˚⊹♡

how the gang sleeps headcannons let’s go!
Johnny: can literally fall asleep anywhere. Light sleeper, but falls asleep really fast most of the time
Dallas: sleeps fully clothed outta laziness half the time- i mean in the scene at Buck’s he was literally wearing jeans for some fucking reason. Often has his head under a pillow ‘cuz there’s always loud music playing. He also probably doesn’t know that you’re supposed to change your sheets.
Two-Bit: Does know you’re supposed to change sheets, but still doesn’t change them. Moves a lot and sometimes wakes up upside down in the morning.
Steve: hugs a pillow cuz he’s touch starved asf. Runs warm and hates using a blanket because it’s sweaty, but also hates not using a blanket because it’s cold, so he’s gotta do that “one leg under one leg over” thing
Darry: takes forever to fall asleep, but once he’s asleep, he’s practically knocked out. often has to sleep through the gang’s chaos, so this is pretty useful
Sodapop: either hates sleeping or loves it with no in between, like a kid who whines about bed time but then sleeps in till noon. walks around wrapped up in a blanket on winter mornings while procrastinating on getting dressed (ADHD’ll do that). Sometimes hauls himself outta bed only to fall asleep again curled up on the floor on the way to his closet.
Ponyboy: Sometimes wakes up with Soda’s limbs pinning him down which is annoying. Probably has a bit of insomnia, and obviously struggles with nightmares. Has sleep-talked before and it always jumpscares Soda

A/N : I see soooo much of Dallas all over tumblr so I picked Soda 😭 may do him next tho. Also Rob serves sm face
˖⁺‧₊˚ 🥤 ˚₊‧⁺˖
୨ SO attentative
୨ I wrote this for Darry too but he loves having his hands on you at all times
୨ I think handholding or a hand on your hip would be the most common
୨ PDA is scared of this man.
୨ Loves sleeping with you; napping, etc, he just likes knowing you’re with him
୨ Most of his jokes are awful so you laugh out of pity or are simply the only person that finds them funny
୨ Steve makes fun of his ‘charm’ around you all the time
୨ He always gives you his flannels whenever you get cold (or if there’s even a slight breeze… he might be showing off a bit)
୨ He’s also the type to lay his jacket on top of a puddle for you when you could easily walk around it LMAO
୨ He’s just a gentleman in general
୨ Carrying bags for you, opening doors, etc
୨ You also get piggybacks from him constantly even if you could walk by yourself
୨ You get spoiled whether it’s with affection or items- doesn’t even matter that they’re kinda poor
୨ You definitely get flowers every date night (whether he bought them or picked them himself)
୨ You have to care for him every time he digests dairy
୨ Drinks chocolate milk every morning anyways even tho he knows it’ll kill his stomach
୨ Also comforting him whenever he gets dragged into one of Pony and Darry’s fights
୨ You guys definitely dance around in the living room or something
୨ It’s pretty playful yet still romantic
୨ Protective.
୨ He also gets jealous pretty easily whether you wanna say it’s because of Sandy or just in general
୨ You get hugged CONSTANTLY, usually from behind
୨ You always come to visit him after school- or on the weekends- as he works at the DX
୨ You usually sit with him behind the counter but sometimes you have to go to the break room because he gets too distracted whilst working 😭
୨ On top of all that, you bring him lunches with you as well (along with ones for Steve)
୨ He remembers every little detail you tell him
୨ Like even if he’s a little dumb (😇🫶) he somehow knows what your favorite pre-school teacher’s name was
୨ He writes you short and cheesy love letters from time to time
୨ Yes, half the words are always spelt wrong but who cares??? You can’t make fun of that pretty face
୨ The gang almost never hears him call you by your actual name
୨ It’s always a pet name unless he’s talking about you to them and other people
୨ You eventually get used to/enjoy the smell of grease and gasoline from how often he gets covered in it
୨ You guys def shower together on a pretty regular basis whether it becomes sexual or not
୨ Baking together!! (he makes the biggest mess in the world and is kinda bad at it but you help him)
୨ You guys definitely get red and blue slushies from the DX and both have purple tongues an hour later
୨ You always offer to wash his clothes for him which seems kinda weird but it’s just because you want his clothes smelling like you/your detergent
୨ He definitely started letting you do it constantly from then on
୨ He’s literally the embodiment of “THAT’S MY GIRLFRIEND!!!!”
୨ He’s just such a sweetie- sodapop I wish u were real 💔

༉‧₊˚. “ greenlight “ by tate mcrae — (fem) prissy!reader x d.w
“ two chains hangin’ off your neck when you kiss me,
so strange, who’d’ve thought we’d get here with our history? “
( cw: kissing/making out, cussing, brief mention of prostitution (joke tho lol))

god, you were such a soc. your room was covered in piles of delicate clothes and lace, the walls were painted a gorgeous light pink, and you had a fresh bouquet of flowers ever time dallas would come visit (which was very often). so dally finds himself wondering every now and then how he even likes you. you were against everything he stood for, you were so prissy compared to a rugged man like him. but our dallas winston did always seem to have a soft spot for pretty soc girls, didn’t he?
he remembers why he likes you in moments like this — when you’re underneath him, and his pink lips are on yours. your freshly-done hair is getting ruined as you lie against the pillow, manicured hands in his greasy hair. he adores having you like this, he adores infiltrating your spoiled and feminine life. he feels like such an outcast in your world, but he likes it that way. he likes being stared at by judgemental kooks and greasers alike, wondering how someone like you ended up with someone like him. he loves the attention, and it’s all worth it when he gets to hear your voice whimper out a “dal,” whenever he bites your lower lip too hard.
his forearms rest on either side of your pretty face, viens buldging in the most sexy way possible as he cages you under him. “god, you’re fuckin’ perfect, aren’t ya?” he drawls quietly as he kisses your cheek.
you giggle, often having reactions like that when he compliments you. “i know,” you say back, going to capture his lips again with a peck.
“yeah, trust me doll, i know you know,” he says after you kiss him, his brown eyes looking down at you, and his perfect mouth shaped into a breathless half-smile. “silly soc,” he mutters, moving to lie beside you. he lifts his arm so you can go under it and rest against his side.
“dirty greaser,” you playfully say back to his quiet dig, not taking offense to his.
he scoffs and lights a cigarette, letting out a breathy chuckle to your comment before taking a hit. he’s quiet for a bit as he does so, and when he’s finished after a few seconds, he speaks again. “you know,” he starts, clearing his throat from the smoke. “we’re not even meant to be dating, a’ight? least y’could do is be nice to be, sweetcheeks,”
you roll your eyes but keep your smile. “oh please, give me a break,” you say. “you’re not nice either. so you could do the same, and put out that cigarette in my room to start the process. told you so many times i don’t want it to smell like smoke in here,”
“fuck nah,” he puts it in between his teeth again. “c’mon doll, if you’re datin’ a greaser then you gotta accept our culture,”
“‘culture’ my ass, it’s an addiction, it’s not good for you,” you poke his chest. “listen to your girlfriend, dal, isn’t that the first thing darry taught you when you dated sylvia?”
“hey, sylvia was a bitch, darrel didn’t give a fuck if i was a bitch back.”
you sigh and rest your head on his chest, giving up the playful argument for now. your lips were swollen and all you wanted to do was either keep kissing him or take a nap. you fiddle with his silver st. christopher aimlessly as you speak again after a couple moments. “don’t you think it’s weird that we’re together?” you ask him.
“yeah,” he mutters, shrugging as if it’s nothing.
you pout, having expected him to say something like ‘no’ or ‘what’s that supposed to mean?’, not an immediate agreement. “what? why?”
“you know why, s’why ya asked,”
“well— i just didn’t think you’d agree so fast.” is your response.
another shrug. “c’mooon,” he drawls. “every fuckin’ idiot here knows it’s weird, so it would be sad if i didn’t. you’re a spoiled soc, and i’m a greaser. one o’the bad ones, too, i’m not tolerated like pony or johnny,”
“…yeah, guess so. but i tolerate you,” you murmur.
“you’re a sweetheart, that’s why,” he explains his point while complimenting you.
“thanks dal,”
he takes a final hit of his cigarette, and then uses your pretty pink ciramic jewlery tray on your bedside as an ashtray as he sets it down. “now c’mere,” he changes the topic and pulls you on top of him. “think we’ve got some unfinished business, don’t we, sweetheart?” he asks, using the earlier nickname on you again.
your smile is back instantly as you nod, painted nails and pristine fingers instantly finding their way in his brown hair and on his chest. “mm, only if you buy me a milkshake after,” you tease, knowing you’ll kiss him regardless.
“god, got a prosititute of a broad, don’t i?” he’s smiling anyway, though trying to feign annoyance. “you think i’ve got the money for that?” he pokes your side playfully. “c’mon, honey, kiss your man,”
so you comply, glossy lips finding his once more. you could go without a milkshake, as long as you were with your dallas.

When she was alive, their mama would always retire to bed early, having the morning shift at the diner. Usually, she would try to read a chapter or two in her book. At least until whatever program the boys were watching was finished. Then, she would be visited by at least one of the boys.
Most often, it was Sodapop. He would pad into her room without a greeting and lay his head on her stomach. She would set her book aside and run her fingers through his hair. He always had something he needed to get off his chest and she would listen patiently, offering advice when she could. But mostly, just listening.
Ponyboy only spoke occasionally, usually to ask a question he’d been thinking over for a while. His questions always made her think. She knew he would take whatever she said to heart. When he seemed satisfied by the answer, he would tuck himself into her side, head on her shoulder and read her book with her.
Darry was her rarest visitor. He was either too busy with homework or thought himself too grown to seek comfort and time alone with his mother. But when he appeared in the doorway, she beckoned him in with a smile, tucking her book away to give him her full attention. It was in those quiet moments that Darry told her about feeling caught between the socs and the greasers.
It was as though the serene space of the room offered them the same comfort of a confessional booth for her sons. They could say whatever they wanted, knowing she wouldn’t judge them. Golly, they made her laugh sometimes, especially Soda when he was in a silly mood.
There were also nights when two or three of them all piled in the bed together. Those were her favorites. Even though she would need to wake early in the morning, she let them stay as long as they wanted.
When she was gone, sometimes they still found themselves walking towards her door.
Two weeks after the funeral, Soda made it all the way to the door before opening it and finding it empty. His sobs were loud enough to wake Darry.
Darry ran to his brother and just held him in his arms. The three of them piled into the same bed that night.
If Darry was honest, he was surprised it took as long as it did for Sodapop to seek that same comfort from him. It was more than a year after their deaths.
Darry was getting ready for bed, laying out his clothes for the next day when Soda strode into his room and sat down on the bed. “What’s up?” Darry asked.
Soda just shrugged. He flopped backwards onto the bed, sprawling out. Darry just rolled his eyes and kept about his task. He could feel his brother’s eyes on him, waiting patiently. Once he was changed into pajamas, Darry sat on the bed and shoved Soda over to give himself space.
Soda still didn’t say anything, but he rolled over and pressed his face into Darry’s stomach. It was like a pang in Darry’s chest. He remembered seeing Soda like this with mama so many times, how he would curl up with her and confess all his secrets.
Absently, Darry let his hand fall to Soda’s head. He didn’t even think before saying, “Soda…you know I’m not mama, right?”
Unlike Pony, Soda didn’t back away when confronted, he held on tighter. His voice came muffled by Darry’s shirt, “I miss her so much, Darry.”
Darry looked up at the ceiling to stop from crying. The thing about grief is that it never really stops, Darry hadn’t expected that. He hadn’t expected to still be having these conversations a year on. He thought it would get easier, but it never did. He thought one day they would just stop missing their folks. He thought they would get used to life without them. Not so much.
“Sodapop-”
“Can I just stay like this for a while?” Soda cut in. His voice was thick with tears, “Please? We don’t have to say anything.”
Darry swallowed thickly, “Yeah, of course, little buddy.”
Soda murmured his thanks, squeezing Darry around the waist. Unlike their mama, Darry didn’t have a book to read. Instead, he just stared at the opposite wall. It felt like his heart was bleeding, like if he looked down he would see rivers of blood pouring over his shirt.
Before too long, Ponyboy appeared in the doorway.
If Darry had to guess, he’d come looking for Soda when he didn’t come into their room. Tucked under Pony’s arm was his current book, a torn receipt as his bookmark. He stood there looking nervous, unsure if he was welcome in the clearly emotional moment.
Darry smiled and jerked his head, “Come on, Pone.” Ponyboy scampered over. He sat down beside Darry, leaning over to look at Sodapop like a curious cat.
Sodapop lifted his chin and gave his brother a reassuring smile, “I’m okay, honey. Just missing mama a lot right now.”
Ponyboy nodded. He leaned against the headboard, shoulder touching Darry’s. Without saying anything, he cracked open his book and started reading. Soda pressed his face back into Darry’s stomach. Darry sat there, pressed between his brothers.
He imagined his mom in this same position, holding onto her boys. He could see himself hovering in the doorway, wanting so badly to join but feeling too mature and too self-conscious to seek his mother’s comfort.
Quiet tears welled in Darry’s eyes. He would do anything to go back, to sit beside her one more time. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair.
Of course, Soda noticed the second Darry started crying. He lifted up his head with a frown, “Dar?”
Ponyboy looked over too. God, now they were both watching him cry. He suddenly found himself swallowed in their arms. One of them was petting his hair like he’d done for them so many times and like their mama and daddy before him.
“I miss her,” Darry told them through tears. “I miss them both.”
“It ain’t stopped,” Ponyboy added softly. “I’m going to miss them for the rest of my life.”
“That’s love,” Soda said. Darry felt Soda press a kiss to his forehead.
“Yeah, I guess,” Ponyboy murmured. The three of them untangled, Darry looking on at his brothers’ faces. They looked older than he remembered them being. Golly, they were almost grown up. Ponyboy hugged his book to his chest, “Is it ever gonna stop being sad?”
It was such a childlike question, Darry wanted to hold Ponyboy to his chest and promise over and over that it would be okay. But he couldn’t. Thankfully, Soda found the right words, “I think so. Probably not soon, but eventually.”
“That’s stupid.”
Darry choked on a laugh, “Yeah, buddy, it really is.” Quiet laughter filled the room, cutting through the heavy shroud. And because his mama was still in the back of his mind, Darry asked the question she always did at the end of nights like these, “Y’all think you can sleep now?”
Both recognizing the phrase, Soda and Ponyboy grinned. “What if I said no?” Soda sassed.
Darry kicked him in the hip, “Tough shit, little buddy. Some of us have work in the morning.” Soda squawked as Darry kicked him again. “Get out.”
Soda scoffed indignantly. He leaned over and heaved Ponyboy into his arms, ignoring his baby brother’s shrieks of protest and kicking legs. “Come on, Pone, we’re not wanted here anymore.” Sticking up his nose, Soda strode out the door very nearly smacking Ponyboy’s head on the door frame.
Darry laughed and called, “Goodnight!” The boys didn’t return the parting words, but a second later, Darry heard the tell-tale yelling of Ponyboy being dropped to the floor. On purpose or accident, he didn’t know or care.
Darry laid down in his bed, letting the sounds of his brothers chasing and yelling at each other playfully lull him to sleep.

I love your stuff!! i was wondering if you could do some stuff with the gang x curtissister!reader who has selective mutism??:3
Like she occasionally will murmur "i love you"s and whatnot to them like on their birthday or when they're upset but other than that stays quiet? like maybe she gets bullied for it too?
if you could i would love for her to be 13 just a year younger than ponyboy but if not it's fine i don't really care!😋🫶
an: This is so cute! Sorry this took me so long to get to. I'm doing this as headcanons and a mini fic!
w: a little insensitivity? Mentions of mockery, not proof read
Dallas, Two-Bit, and Steve are all "Don't say anything if..."
Ponyboy is always sticking up for you and talking for you
Sodapop really appreciates your quietness. He loves to sit with you in silence or sit with you and vent after Ponyboy and Darry fight
If you use sign language, your brothers learn it to communicate with you- and eventually the rest of the guys start to pick up some signs or ask you to teach them some signs
Johnny really connects with you and, like Soda, enjoys your quiet, calming vibe
Darry hates to see anyone mocking you for not talking or for signing, parents will be called, teachers will be informed, and Darry will consider the morality of punching a 13 year old child
All the guys are worried about you, because not only are you in danger of being jumped for being a greaser, but they know you won't yell for help and won't stand up for yourself
They're worried for when you start highschool
Darry gets really mad if you walk somewhere alone
Pony walks with you most places
Dallas and Steve are the least understanding, but they accept it and will stand up for you if someone mocks you.
Darry, Soda, and Pony love to hear you laugh
Every "I love you" is way more meaningful and cherished by them
Darry wants to get you a consular or therapy to help, but you guys can't afford it
Dallas doesn't talk to you much because he knows you won't respond, but he still like being around you. He'll often communicate with gestures or facial expressions.
Sometimes Steve pretends you're communicating telepathically
"Everyone be quiet, y/n and I are talking in our brains." He'll say as he rubs his the sides of his temple
They've all gotten very good at reading your expressions
"Y/n, don't say anything if I can eat all the cake batter." Two-bit says while slowly reaching for the bowl. You glare at him then smack his hands away. He chuckles and steps back. You sigh then pick up the bowl and carefully pour the batter into a pan.
Ponyboy doesn't look up from his book when he says, "Leave her alone, Two-bit."
Two-bit ruffles Pony's hair before sitting down at the table. "Relax, kid, I'm just messing around. It's cool. Right, Y/n?"
You turn your head to look at him and roll your eyes. He chuckles. You close the oven and set a timer for 40 minutes. Soda and Steve walk into the kitchen in their DX uniforms. Soda smiles and waves and you smile back.
"I can't believe you worked on your birthday, Soda." Two-bit chuckles.
Soda shrugs, "I like my job. Plus, I got to spend the whole day with my best friend." He pats Steve on the shoulder. "Cake almost done, Y/n?"
"39 minutes." You sign as you sit down at the table.
-
When the cake is finally cooled down, you frost it. You carefully, and as evenly as possible, spread the frosting over the cake. Once done, you stick in all 17 candles. Ponyboy, who had been impatiently watching you asks, "Is it done?"
You nod.
"Guys the cake is done!" Pony yells excitedly as he hurries into the living room to let everyone know. All of the guys were at the house, and everyone hurriedly made their way to the dining room. You carefully set the chocolate cake down infront of Soda. Darry lights the candles as you sit down. It takes a decent amount of time to light 17 candles, but once they're all lit, the guys begin to sing.
"Happy birthday to you." You hum the song as everyone sings to Soda. Once the song is over, Soda blows out his candle.
"What'd you wish for?" Two-Bit asks.
"He cant tell you, then it won't come true." Steve rebukes.
Soda smiles mischievously. "I wished you wouldn't talk so damn much, Two!"
Two-bit falls into hysterics, and Darry warns, "Language."
You cut the cake. Soda, of course is handed the first piece.
"Thank you, y/n."
Two-bit and Steve fight over the second piece, but they calm down once a third is cut. Then Pony and Johnny get one.
You point at Dallas then at the cake, to ask if he wants a slice. He nods, so you give him one. Darry declines at first, but the protests from his brothers convince him to have a slice too. You finally cut a piece for yourself.
-
Later that night, after all the guys had gone home, and you'd gotten ready for bed, you join Soda in the living room. He's looking at a chain that Steve got him, and the flannels you and Ponyboy got him are folded beside him. He looks up at you as you walk in. You wave, and he smiles. You sit next to him on the couch. You two sit in silence for a while, the only sound being the chain moving around in his hands.
"Happy birthday, Soda." You mutter quietly, looking at his hands. You look at his eyes for the next part. "I love you."
Soda beams. He wraps an arm around you and pulls you in for a side hug. "Thank you. I love you too, and don't you forget it."
An: I hope you liked it!! It's almost summer! Yay!

could you do some hcs about the gang x a reader who's really self conscious and constantly needs reassurance? i love u and your writing sm btw <3
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐱 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬!𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
a/n: thank you so much that means a lot <33. I actually love this sm i cant even
Darry Curtis:
Darry always senses when you’re feeling slightly down and hates the fact that you second-guess yourself in any way, shape or form. He becomes almost protective when he hears you talking negatively about yourself.
If you’re looking in the mirror, he’ll come up and stand with you, getting you to point out what you’re nervous about so he can shower you with compliments and show you exactly why you’re so perfect.
“You don’t need to be anyone but yourself. That’s more than good enough.”
When it comes to reassurance, he’s all about soft touches: forehead kisses, tight hugs, etc…
Sodapop Curtis:
Soda drops everything to cheer you up and is there in a heartbeat if he even hears you so much as breathe a word of negativity about yourself. He rushes over, cupping your face in his hands and shushing you with a kiss.
He honestly doesn’t understand what there is to be insecure about; you’re perfect, but he never judges you. He just showers you with all the reassurance you need.
He’ll pepper you with kisses, hands tracing patterns into your skin, complimenting you like it’s the last thing he can do.
Ponyboy Curtis:
Pony understands insecurity in some way—he often experiences it himself— and tries everything he can to make sure you don’t feel like that. He asks what’s wrong, sitting with you and letting you rant for as long as you need.
Once you’re done, he’ll smile and then repeat everything you just said but with the reason why those things are so perfect. He doesn’t give you the chance to cut in, doesn’t allow any “buts” because all of his reasons are totally valid.
Johnny Cade:
Johnny is so gentle when it comes to reassuring you and he always picks up on your mood change when you startntonfeel insecure. He’ll come over, arms wrapping around you as he whispers comforting words into your hair.
He’s so incredibly patient, letting you get everything out of your system before he chooses what to say. He makes it known just how much he loves you and how perfect you are to him.
Dallas Wintson:
Dally doesn’t always handle deep emotions well, and when it comes down to insecurity, he doesn’t approach it well. Sure, he experiences it himself, but in a very different way to you, and his ways of coping are not at all what you need.
If he catches you putting yourself down, he gets frustrated and will firmly tell you that you’re talking bullshit. He doesn’t mean to be harsh, but he truly runs off of harsh, blunt love.
If you need him to hold yo, he’ll tug you into his lap, kissing you deep. He’s so incredibly honest, giving you compliments in the most him way possible.
“The hell you talkin’ about? You got the best ass in this whole town, baby.”
Steve Randle:
Steve also isn’t the best when it comes to handling deeper things, but he tries his best to be there. He might make a joke at first, hoping to ease the tension slightly, but when he sees you just need to be held, he’ll comply.
He’ll compliment you more often, making sure he points out all the things he likes every single day, emphasising it until you crack a smile.
When you’re feeling self conscious, he’ll give you small kisses, rubbing your back until it passes and you truly see how perfect you are.
Two–Bit Mathews:
Two tries to cheer you up by making jokes, maybe putting others down to make you feel better, but he can also get to the parts that cut so much deeper. He’s incredibly sweet when you need him to be and won’t stand around letting you feel bad about yourself.
He’ll feed you little compliments and some teasing but 100% genuine, laced with a sweetness only he can manage and still look tuff.
When he needs to be, he’s very serious, telling you how perfect you are in a firm enough way to get his point across.

The outsiders boys with a waitress reader🫶🏻
_________________________________________________
Darrell Curtis
Darry first meets you at the diner when he’s out grabbing a quick bite after a long shift at the roofing job. He’s exhausted, but the moment you walk up to his table with a warm smile and a cup of coffee, he feels his stress melt away just a little.
You’re the kind of waitress who knows how to brighten someone’s day quick with a joke, attentive without being overbearing, and always making sure Darry’s coffee cup stays full. At first, he thinks you’re just being polite, but when you start asking about his day and remembering his regular order, he starts to wonder if you might be doing it just for him.
He’d definitely take his time working up the nerve to flirt with you. Darry’s not as smooth as Soda or Pony might tease him to be, so his compliments are a bit shy and awkward. “You, uh, work a lot, don’t you? Must take a lot of patience to deal with everyone here all day.” When you laugh and say you don’t mind it, he relaxes a little, but his ears turn red when you tease him right back.
The boys at home notice Darry making more “diner runs” than usual. Soda gives him a hard time, saying he’s not fooling anyone. “Admit it, Darry, you’re not going for the coffee.” Darry grumbles and tells Soda to drop it, but everyone knows exactly why he’s suddenly craving burgers so often.
When he finally asks you out, it’s the most endearing thing. He tries to catch you on a slow night at the diner, waiting until your shift is about to end. “I, uh, was wondering if you’d maybe want to get some coffee sometime… not here, though. Somewhere nice.” His voice is a little rough with nerves, but the hopeful look in his eyes is impossible to say no to.
Once you start dating, Darry becomes your biggest cheerleader. He knows how hard you work and is constantly in awe of how you juggle everything so gracefully. He makes a point to stop by the diner after work just to see you, always leaving a generous tip even if you insist it’s not necessary.
On days when your shifts are particularly tough, Darry surprises you by cooking dinner at his place (which the boys usually devour, but he always saves a plate for you). He’s not great with words, but his actions speak volumes—he’ll rub your sore shoulders, listen to you vent about rude customers, and tell you how much he admires your dedication.
Darry’s naturally protective, and it shows when he sees anyone giving you a hard time at work. If a customer is rude or steps out of line, he won’t make a scene, but the sharp look he gives them is enough to send them packing.
Over time, you become a part of the Curtis family dynamic, much to Soda and Ponyboy’s delight. They tease Darry about being smitten with you, but they genuinely adore having you around. You fit into their world so perfectly that it feels like you were meant to be there all along.
Sodapop Curtis
The first time Sodapop walks into the diner, you’re immediately struck by his charm. He’s all bright smiles, golden hair, and warm energy that lights up the whole place. He’s the kind of guy who calls you “ma’am” with a wink when he orders a milkshake, and you can’t help but blush even though he’s being playful.
Soda’s a regular almost instantly. It’s not because of the food (though he’ll claim it’s the “best in town” just to make you smile). He loves sitting at the counter, chatting with you between your other tables. You notice how he has a knack for making everyone in the diner laugh, even the crankiest of customers.
He flirts with you constantly but in the sweetest way. He’ll ask for extra napkins, and when you bring them over, he grins and says, “Thanks, doll. You’re a lifesaver. I don’t know what I’d do without you.” When you roll your eyes, he just laughs that carefree Soda laugh, and suddenly, you’re looking forward to his visits.
One day, when he sees how tired you are, he doesn’t hesitate to jump in and help. Soda grabs a tray and starts bussing tables, much to your embarrassment. “What? I’m just lending a hand,” he says with a cheeky grin. The other customers love it, but your boss is less amused. “If I get fired, you’re paying my bills, Curtis!” you tease, but you can’t stay mad when he promises to make it up to you.
It doesn’t take long for him to ask you out. Soda’s not the type to beat around the bush. One evening, as you’re wiping down the counter, he leans over and says, “So, how about we make this official? Dinner, dancing, the whole works? I’ll even let you pick the spot.” He’s so confident yet so genuine that there’s no way you can say no.
Dating Soda feels like an adventure. He’s always coming up with fun dates whether it’s going to drive-ins, walking around the park, or surprising you with spontaneous milkshake runs. He has a way of making the simplest moments feel special.
He’s also incredibly supportive of your job. He’s the guy who brings you lunch during your shifts, insists you sit down for a minute to eat, and leaves little notes tucked into the napkins, like, “You’re doing great, gorgeous.”
Soda can’t stand seeing you upset. If a rude customer gives you a hard time, he’s the first to cheer you up. He’ll pull goofy faces, crack jokes, and promise to take you out after work so you can forget all about it. “Don’t worry, I’ve got your back, darlin’. Always.”
He’s so proud of you and tells everyone how hard you work. The gang hears all about you at home, and Darry has to remind Soda to give you some space. “She’s busy, Soda, you can’t live at the diner.” But Ponyboy secretly thinks it’s cute how smitten Soda is.
When you’re overwhelmed, Soda knows exactly what to do to help you unwind. He’ll show up at your place with flowers and your favorite candy or drag you out to dance under the stars because “life’s too short not to have a little fun.”
You quickly become a part of Soda’s world, and the Curtis house starts to feel like home. Soda is always telling you how much he adores you, how you’re the “sweetest thing to ever happen to me,” and how he can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Ponyboy Curtis
Ponyboy first notices you at the diner during one of his solo study sessions. He likes the quiet corner booth, away from the chaos, where he can read or write in peace. But then you show up, all warm smiles and a soft voice as you ask if he needs anything, and suddenly, his focus is completely shot.
You’re kind and patient with him, even when he stumbles over his words while ordering. He’s not used to being around someone so effortlessly sweet, and it flusters him. But he’s also a little intrigued when he notices you sneaking glances at the book he brought with him.
Over time, Ponyboy becomes a regular at the diner not because he’s particularly hungry, but because he loves seeing you. He’ll sit in your section every time, and you always make a point to chat with him for a few moments, asking about his books or his day.
The two of you bond over a shared love of literature. One day, he shyly offers you a recommendation: “You should read Gone with the Wind. It’s… uh, it’s one of my favorites.” You take his advice, and the next time you see him, you let him know what you thought. Pony’s practically glowing when you gush about it, thrilled that someone finally gets his love for stories.
Pony isn’t the boldest when it comes to flirting, so he shows his feelings in subtle ways. He would tell Dallas to lay off or scribble a quick “thanks for the great service!” on a napkin, hoping you’ll notice. When he finally works up the nerve to ask you out, it’s adorably awkward. “I, um… I was wondering if maybe you’d want go check out this movie or something?” His cheeks turn bright red, but his earnestness makes it impossible for you to say no.
Dating Ponyboy is sweet and innocent, full of quiet moments and deep conversations. He loves taking you to places that inspire him, like the park or the movies, and he’s always eager to share his thoughts and hear yours.
He’s incredibly thoughtful, often bringing you little gifts like a pressed flower he found on a walk or a poem he wrote about how much you mean to him. He never expects anything in return, he just loves making you smile.
Ponyboy’s protective side comes out when he sees anyone being rude to you at the diner. He’s not one for confrontation, but he’ll give a disapproving look or step in if things escalate. “She doesn’t deserve that,” he’ll say firmly, standing his ground.
When you have a tough shift, Ponyboy is the first to notice. He’ll offer to walk you home, carrying your bag and listening as you vent. “You don’t have to keep it all bottled up,” he’ll remind you softly. “I’m here for you.”
The Curtis brothers adore you, and Soda can’t help but tease Ponyboy about how smitten he is. “Man, you’re practically floating every time you get back from the diner,” Soda jokes, but Pony doesn’t mind. He knows he’s lucky to have you.
Being with Ponyboy feels like finding a safe haven. He’s gentle, genuine, and so full of love, and he makes sure you know how special you are to him every single day.
Johnny Cade
Johnny first meets you when he stumbles into the diner late at night, looking for a place to escape the cold. He’s hesitant and nervous, sitting in the corner booth where he can avoid drawing attention. You notice how out of place he seems, so you greet him kindly, making sure to give him the warmest smile you can.
He’s shy at first, barely meeting your gaze when you ask what he wants. “Just a water,” he mutters quietly. But you can tell he hasn’t eaten much, so you bring him a plate of fries “on the house,” claiming there was an extra order. He thanks you so softly you almost don’t hear it, but the look of gratitude in his eyes stays with you.
After that, Johnny becomes a regular. He doesn’t talk much at first, but he always sits in your section. You’re patient with him, never pushing for conversation, and he starts to relax around you. Over time, you notice he opens up little by little, sharing small pieces of himself like how he loves the quiet of late nights or how he’s been reading more lately.
You quickly realize how kindhearted Johnny is. He always says “please” and “thank you,” even when he’s struggling. If he sees you having a rough shift, he’ll try to help in his own quiet way picking up a fallen napkin or murmuring, “You’re doing a good job.” It’s small, but it warms your heart.
It takes a lot for Johnny to work up the courage to ask you out. He’s convinced you’re way out of his league, but after a pep talk from Ponyboy and twobit, he finally gives it a shot. One night, as you’re refilling his coffee, he shyly stammers, “Would… would you want to maybe go to the park with me sometime? Or the drive in? I mean, only if you’re not busy…” His voice is so soft you almost miss it, but when you say yes, his whole face lights up.
Dating Johnny is sweet and understated. He’s not flashy or loud, but he shows his love in thoughtful ways. He’ll bring you little trinkets he finds like a smooth stone or a pretty leaf he thought you’d like or offer to walk you home after a late shift, even if it’s out of his way.
Johnny’s incredibly protective of you. He may not be the biggest or toughest, but if someone’s rude to you at the diner, he doesn’t hesitate to step in. “Hey, she doesn’t want any problems” he’ll say firmly, his voice steady despite his nerves.
Even when his buddy Dallas try’s coming to see who has his heart. Johnny is brave if enough to let him know she’s off limits and not to give her a hard time.
He’s a great listener. After a long day, you know you can vent to Johnny, and he’ll give you his full attention, nodding along and offering quiet words of support. “You’re the hardest-working person I know,” he tells you one night, his voice filled with admiration.
The gang teases Johnny when they find out about you, but they’re genuinely happy to see him so content. Ponyboy, especially, loves watching Johnny smile more, and Dallas always tries to hype him up by saying, “Johnnycakes landed the prettiest girl in town!”
You help Johnny see his worth. You remind him that he’s kind, loyal, and so much stronger than he thinks. Over time, he becomes more confident, knowing he has someone in his corner who truly believes in him.
Being with Johnny is like finding a quiet moment of peace in a chaotic world. He’s gentle, loving, and endlessly devoted, and he makes you feel cherished in a way you’ve never experienced before.
Dallas Winston
Dallas first meets you when he saunters into the diner late at night, cigarette dangling from his lips and that infamous smirk on his face. He doesn’t bother looking at the menu, just leans back in the booth and orders, “Coffee. Black. And make it strong.” When you snipe back that he could use some manners, he’s instantly intrigued.
Dally loves to flirt shamelessly with you, even from the very first meeting. “You got a name, sweetheart, or should I just call you gorgeous?” he quips with a wink. You roll your eyes but can’t help the small smile tugging at your lips, and he catches it immediately. “Ah, there it is. I knew I’d crack you.”
He starts showing up more often, always sitting in your section and making sure to get your attention. Whether it’s a cocky comment, a teasing remark, or something surprisingly sweet, Dally loves seeing you flustered. He’s a master at pushing your buttons just enough to make you laugh.
Dally’s bold when it comes to asking you out. One night, after you finish your shift, he’s leaning against the diner’s doorframe, waiting for you. “Let me take you out, doll. I promise, you won’t regret it.” His confidence is impossible to ignore, and while you know he’s trouble, there’s something about him you can’t resist.
Dating Dally is nothing short of an adventure. He’s spontaneous and unpredictable, always dragging you along for some wild escapade. Midnight drives, sneaking into movies, and trips to other towns become the norm. Life with Dally is fast paced, but he always makes sure you’re having the time of your life.
Despite his tough guy exterior, Dally has a soft spot for you. He’d never admit it out loud, but he genuinely cares about your well being. If you’re working too hard or looking exhausted, he’ll tell you to sit down and let him handle things even if that just means stealing a plate of fries from the kitchen to cheer you up.
Dally is fiercely protective of you. If anyone gives you a hard time at the diner, he’s quick to step in, no matter how messy things might get. “You got a problem with her? Then you got a problem with me,” he growls, his icy glare enough to send anyone running.
He loves showing you off to the gang, bragging about how lucky he is to have you. “Ain’t she something?” he’ll say, throwing an arm around you as if daring anyone to disagree. The guys tease him relentlessly for how soft he gets around you, but he doesn’t care.
He’s the type of guy who is going to give you a hard time. He’ll smack your butt when you walk by, pull you into the seat while he gives you your order, leans over the counter and gropes you when making coffee. If anyone else tried that? They’d be better off dead.
Dally’s softer side really shines when the two of you are alone. He’ll tell you things he’s never told anyone, like how he grew up in New York or how much he never misses his old friends because of the way they where. He trusts you in a way he doesn’t trust anyone else, and that vulnerability only deepens your bond.
He’s not great with words, but Dally shows his love through his actions. Whether it’s leaving you little notes, sneaking you out for a surprise date, or showing up at the diner just to see your smile, he makes sure you know how much you mean to him.
Being with Dally isn’t always easy he’s stubborn, hot-headed, and reckless but he loves you with everything he’s got. You bring out the best in him, reminding him that he’s capable of being more than just a troublemaker. With you, he feels like he’s finally found something worth holding onto.
Steve Randle
Steve first notices you during one of his lunch breaks when he and Soda drop by the diner for burgers and milkshakes. You’re their waitress, and when you ask for their order, Steve immediately starts with the smooth talking: “I’ll take whatever you recommend, doll. As long as it comes with a smile like that.” Soda groans at how cheesy Steve is, but you smirk, firing back just as playfully. Steve’s instantly hooked.
He becomes a regular almost overnight, dragging Soda along just to have an excuse to see you. Every time you show up at their table, Steve’s quick with a joke or a compliment. “You must get tired of running around here all day, huh? Don’t worry, I’ll make it worth your while with the best tip you’ve ever seen.” Soda, of course, rolls his eyes every time.
Steve is confident, but you know how to keep him on his toes. When he teases you, you tease him right back, and he loves it. He’s used to being the one in control, but something about the way you laugh at his antics makes him stumble over his words just a little.
He flirts so much that Soda bets he’ll never actually work up the nerve to ask you out. Steve takes it as a challenge, and one night, when you’re wiping down their table, he casually leans forward and says, “So, what time do you get off work? I figure you’ve been serving me burgers all week it’s about time I take you out for one.”
Dating Steve is a whirlwind of fun and excitement. He’s always looking for ways to make you laugh, whether it’s cracking jokes, pulling goofy faces, or challenging you to silly bets. He swears he’ll win every time, but somehow you always manage to come out on top.
Steve’s naturally competitive, so he loves finding little games to play with you. Whether it’s seeing who can finish their milkshake first or racing you down the street, he thrives on that playful energy you bring out in him.
He’s also a total gearhead, so expect a lot of dates involving cars. He’ll take you for joyrides in the shop’s best rebuilds or teach you how to work on an engine. “You’re not just a pretty face, you know,” he’ll say, handing you a wrench with a wink. “Bet you’ll be fixing cars better than me in no time.”
Steve is the type of boyfriend who would wanna make out session in the car he is working on. Sometimes when a client comes back for their car they see you on his lap with a heated make out session.
The Curtis gang absolutely loves having you around. You and Soda gang up on Steve constantly, teasing him about his wild ideas or his overconfidence. He pretends to hate it, but secretly, he loves seeing you get along so well with his best friend.
Steve almost punched Ponyboy because he was looking at you for more than 0.001 seconds.
Steve’s not just fun and games, though. When you have a bad day, he’s there to cheer you up, offering to take you out or just listen while you vent. He’s surprisingly good at knowing when to joke and when to just be there for you. “Hey, you don’t gotta do it all alone, alright? I’m here.”
He shows his love through grand gestures and small, thoughtful moments. He’ll leave little notes under your car windshield, show up with your favorite snack after work, or surprise you with a night out at the drive-in. Steve has a way of making every day feel like an adventure.
He always makes sure your car is up to date. When you’re at work, he won’t even ask you. He would just take your car for an oil change.
With Steve, life is never boring. He keeps you laughing, challenges you to be your best, and makes you feel like you’re the only person in the world who matters.
Two-bit Mathews
Two-Bit meets you when he and the gang come into the diner for some burgers after a long day. He spots you right away, and before you even make it to their table, he’s already cracking jokes. “Well, would ya look at that? The prettiest girl in town is serving us tonight. Lucky us, huh, boys?” You laugh, but the gang groans this is classic Two-Bit.
He’s immediately smitten and starts finding any excuse to keep you at the table longer. “Now, what’s the best thing on the menu? And don’t just say everything you gotta be honest with me, sweetheart.” He’ll keep the banter going until you’re smiling so much your cheeks hurt.
Two-Bit becomes a regular at the diner, showing up at all hours just to see you. Sometimes he brings the gang, but more often than not, it’s just him, sitting at the counter with his trademark grin. “Don’t tell me you’re happy to see me, doll I might get a big head.”
He loves to tease you, but it’s never mean spirited. If you’re having a bad day, he can tell right away, and his jokes get even sillier just to cheer you up. “What do you call a waitress who’s also a ray of sunshine? You. You call her you.” His goofy humor is impossible to resist, and you find yourself laughing even when you don’t want to.
Two-Bit finally works up the nerve to ask you out after weeks of flirting. He does it in the most Two-Bit way possible, sliding a napkin across the counter with a messy scrawl: “How about dinner with me? I promise to keep the jokes to a minimum. (Maybe.) Yes or no?” You circle yes and watch him nearly fall off his stool in excitement.
Dating Two-Bit is a nonstop laugh fest. He takes you to the movies, sneaks you into drive ins, and always has some wild scheme to keep things interesting. “Life’s too short to be boring, babe. Stick with me, and you’ll never have a dull day.”
He loves spoiling you in his own way. It might not be fancy, but it’s always thoughtful like showing up at the diner with your favorite candy or winning you a stuffed animal at the arcade. He’s the kind of guy who’ll go out of his way to make you feel special.
Two-Bit is fiercely loyal and protective. If anyone gives you trouble at ALL, he’s quick to step in with his signature charm (and maybe a little intimidation if necessary). “Hey, pal, you got a problem? ‘Cause I got about a hundred reasons why you should walk away right now.”
The gang adores you, mostly because Two-Bit can’t stop talking about you. “Did you know she can carry, like, six plates at once? She’s amazing,” he’ll brag, and everyone just rolls their eyes because they’ve heard it a million times.
Two-Bit loves to surprise you with little gifts and notes. He’ll leave things like a comic book he thinks you’d enjoy or a silly doodle of the two of you. One day, you find a note tucked into your apron pocket that says, “You’re the best thing to ever happen to this diner (and me).”
Beneath all the jokes and laughter, Two-Bit is incredibly sweet and caring. He notices the little things about you how you like your coffee, the way you hum when you’re wiping down tables, or how your face lights up when you talk about something you love.
With Two-Bit, life feels like one big adventure. He makes you laugh, reminds you to take things less seriously, and loves you with every bit of his big, goofy heart.
Tim Shepard
Tim first meets you when he stops by the diner late at night after a rumble. He’s nursing a split lip and a bruised jaw, but he’s acting like it’s nothing. You approach his table, not intimidated by the rough exterior. “Rough night?” you ask, and instead of brushing you off, he smirks. “You could say that.”
You’re not the type to shy away from trouble, and Tim likes that about you right away. You bring him coffee without him asking, and when you slide a plate of fries onto the table, you just shrug and say, “You look like you could use it.” That no nonsense attitude intrigues him.
Tim keeps coming back to the diner, always at odd hours. He never says much at first, just orders coffee and watches you work. But over time, he starts to open up, throwing in the occasional comment or teasing remark. He likes how sharp you are you don’t take any of his attitude, and he respects that.
One night, after you catch him eyeing you for the hundredth time, you finally call him out. “You gonna sit there staring all night, or you gonna say something?” He chuckles, leaning back in his seat. “Alright, I’ll bite. What time do you get off? Maybe I’ll take you somewhere better than this dump.”
Dating Tim is intense, but in the best way. He’s not big on grand romantic gestures, but he makes sure you know he’s serious about you. He’ll show up at the diner to walk you home after a late shift, leaning against the wall outside with a cigarette between his fingers, looking like trouble and waiting just for you.
Tim is fiercely protective of you. If anyone so much as looks at you the wrong way, he’s quick to step in. “You got a problem?” he’ll ask, his tone low and dangerous. Most people back off immediately it’s clear he doesn’t mess around.
He’s a man of few words, but his actions speak volumes. He’ll fix things for you without being asked, like the busted lock on your apartment door or the squeaky hinge on your car. “Can’t have you living like that,” he’ll mutter, brushing it off like it’s no big deal.
Tim isn’t one to show his softer side often, but you get glimpses of it when you’re alone together. He’ll let his guard down just enough to tell you about his rough childhood or his loyalty to his gang. “They’re all I’ve got,” he admits one night. “But you… you’re different.”
The Shepard gang takes to you right away. They’re used to tough girls hanging around, but you’re something else entirely strong enough to handle Tim’s intensity but kind enough to balance him out. They tease him about how soft he gets around you, but they’re secretly glad you’re in his life.
Curly secretly has the biggest crush on you. He would never flirt with you or anything but he wishes he would have had you instead. He wouldn’t change it though, even though he hates to admit it his brother really does love you.
Tim doesn’t do traditional romance, but he surprises you with little things that mean a lot. He’ll leave a single flower on your doorstep or show up at the diner with your favorite snack. He’s not great with words, but his actions always make you feel special.
He admires your strength and independence. You work hard, and Tim respects that more than anything. “You don’t let anyone walk all over you,” he says one night, his voice full of admiration. “That’s why I like you. You’re tough, like me.”
Tim’s not the easiest guy to love he’s stubborn, intense, and always ready for.
Curly Shepard
Curly first meets you when he and some of the Shepard gang stop by the diner after causing trouble around town. He’s loud, cocky, and full of energy, tossing out jokes and harassing his friends. When you come over to take their order, he leans back in the booth with a smirk and says, “I’ll take a burger, fries, and your number. What do you say, doll?”
You don’t fall for his charm right away, which only makes him try harder. When you roll your eyes and mutter something about boys like him being all talk, he grins even wider. “Oh, I like you,” he says, completely unbothered. “You got fire. I can work with that.”
Curly becomes a regular at the diner, dragging his friends along even when they complain about it. “C’mon, man, the food’s good, and my favorite waitress is there.” he says, unapologetic. Every time you see him walk in, you prepare yourself for the chaos that follows.
His flirting is relentless but oddly endearing. He’ll scribble ridiculous doodles on napkins and leave them at the table, like a stick-figure version of himself with a speech bubble that says, “Call me.” When you roll your eyes and toss it in the trash, he just laughs.
Despite his cocky exterior, Curly’s got a soft spot for you. If you’re having a bad day, he notices immediately. “Hey, what’s with the long face?” he’ll ask, his tone unusually sincere. “Who do I gotta rough up to fix it?” You tell him it’s nothing, but he makes it his mission to cheer you up anyway.
Curly doesn’t hesitate to pick fights with anyone who disrespects you. If a customer gives you a hard time, he’s on his feet in seconds, fists clenched and ready. “You better watch your mouth, pal, or you’ll be picking your teeth up off the floor.”
When he finally asks you out, it’s not exactly romantic it’s bold and straightforward, just like him. “So, what time do you get off? I figured it’s about time you let me take you out. You know you can’t resist me forever.”
Dating Curly is wild, unpredictable, and full of excitement. He loves taking you on late night adventures, from sneaking into drive ins to racing his friends on backroads. “Hold on, babe,” he’ll say with a grin as he revs up his car. “Let’s see if I can make your heart race.”
Curly will have heated make out sessions in public. He doesn’t care. So you’ll be taking his order and he pulls you down to start making out. If anyone complains, curly gives the the most deadly stare.
Curly shows his affection through actions more than words. He’ll bring you random little gifts, like a candy bar he stole or a flower he picked off someone’s lawn. “I saw it, and it made me think of you,” he’ll say, shrugging like it’s no big deal.
Tim teases Curly relentlessly about you, saying things like, “Didn’t know you had it in you to be sweet, Curly. You getting soft on us?” Curly always snaps back, but you can tell he doesn’t really mind.
Curly is proud to have you by his side and makes sure everyone knows it. He’ll drape an arm around your shoulders in public, shoot glares at anyone who looks at you for too long, and constantly call you “his girl.”
Beneath all his bravado, Curly has a vulnerable side that he only shows you. When he talks about his rough upbringing or his struggles with living in his brother’s shadow, you see a depth to him that most people don’t get to witness.
He’s fiercely loyal and would do anything to protect you. If anyone hurts or upsets you, it’s not a question of if Curly will get even it’s when. He takes care of his own, and you’re no exception.
Being with Curly is a wild ride, but it’s never boring. He keeps you on your toes, makes you laugh with his ridiculous antics, and loves you with the kind of reckless intensity that only a Shepard could.

Idk if you’re doing requests but I need someone to write head canons for the greasers being sub and into dry humping please 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Maybe even one shots/drabbles? I would love for you to write this but If you don’t want to, it’s Ok! I respect that! Anyways have a good day xx
Fuck yeah! I live for submissive men, give me a moment!!
Darrel Shaynne Curtis:
Let's get one thing out of the way, this man is hardly submissive but he wants to be. He's all tough and mean on the outside because he's the older brother and works almost 24/7, he's going to need some time for someone else to take care of him from time to time given that he's a young man and that he also does like being on top.
He's a whiney sub but he really tries not to be. If you're just making out while sitting on his lap or he's sitting on yours, he's going to end up grinding on your thigh and whimpering in your ear.
When it comes to dry humping with a subby! Darry, he's really sensitive. He's good at controlling his climax when he's on top but when he's on bottom and is humping against you, he's so so sensitive.
Praise him, praise this man. He needs it, he craves that validation from you. Tell him he's a good boy and he's having to bit his lips to keep himself from cumming on the spot. He's got a praise kink through and through.
8/10 because HOLY FUCK, he's a damn good sub but -2 points because it's rare to get that kind of Darry most nights.
Keith "Two-bit" Mathews:
He's a brat. Don't listen to anything else, this man is a slutty, bratty pillow prince. He doesn't care what you do. Degrade him, praise him. It doesn't matter because he will cum all the same.
When it comes to dry humping, he's not picky. If you're at a drive in and sitting in a car, he's going to get on your lap while making out and start humping your thigh (With permission of course, he's a brat but not a monster.)
When you two are together and getting intimate with him on bottom, he tried to power bottom but it doesn't work out in his favor. He'll degrade you but to fix that, just fuck with his chest a little bit while he's being bratty and he'll sort himself out.
While he is a pillow prince, he'll repay the favor after he's been overstimmulated to hell and back.
6/10 because you're getting bossed around while fucking. It was going to be 7/10 but -1 point because he's mean about it.
Dallas "Dally" Winston:
Not really bratty, not really whiney... He's somewhere in between emotional because Dally doesn't do vulnerablilty unless he's comfortable with you, and even then, it's rare that he is.
When he subs, he's going to try and control what he can because he doesn't want to let go of that control.
When Dally is dry humping, he's not shy about it. He wouldn't do it in public, fuck no, but if you're in your own space, he's not shy about rutting his hips against your thigh while kissing you.
When dry humping, Dally is slow about it, trying to keep this going as long as possible without getting too worked up. He likes to have his pleasure and moments of vulnerability with you. And yes, you could probably get him to cry as he does try and overstimulate himself often in the sub space.
9/10. He's great to dom and take care of with. Just be sure to treat him right.
Steve Randle:
This man doesn't sub. He just doesn't. The most you'll get out of him is him being a power bottom. My apologies.
He'll dry hump you while making out though, grinding up against you while your lip locked in private.
3/10 because he's no sub.
Sodapop Patrick Curtis:
Sodapop is a switch, try to tell me otherwise. You get Dom Sodapop just as much as you get Sub Sodapop. He's generally a quiet sub mainly because he's biting and sucking on your neck the whole time.
When you're topping Sodapop, he's easy going. If you're making out on a night that he's subbing, he's going to grind against you with a lip sucked between his teeth to keep quiet.
Sodapop can be loud, he doesn't sit still. When he's subbing, you're going to need to restrain him (do it, he doesn't mind it at all. It adds to the experience for him).
He's sensitive. Don't get me wrong, when he tops, his pleasure takes a back seat. He can hold out, he cums last, but when he subs and it's about his pleasure? Oh it's over.
10/10 would sub again.
Johnny Cade:
Johnny is always the sub in this relationship unless he suddenly feels jealous. So when Johnny subs, it's another regular tuesday.
He's soft, but communicative. When he wants to be, he can get loud. Like if he's grinding against you, skin to skin, and you're praising him? Calling him a good boy? The whole east side is fucking hearing you. I don't make the rules.
You cannot get him to do anything public. You just can't. He is the oppsite of Two-bit, he won't do it. Speaking of not like two bit, he's also not a brat.
Praise kink. He has a praise kink. Call him a good boy while he's grinding against you and I swear he will grin at you.
10/10. Is Johnny inexperienced? Yes. Does that matter at all? No.
Ponyboy Michael Curtis:
No
Nope
Nada
Nein
He's younger than me while the rest of these characters are either the same age or older than me. No.

the whole gang is like dominoes in terms of sickness.
usually it’s ponyboy who gets sick first—i headcanon ponyboy was born prematurely, and as a result his immune system is significantly weaker, so he’s much more prone to sicknesses than the rest of the gang. next to fall are his brothers. as strong as darry’s immune system is, pony gets sick and soon darry is too. sodapop’s usually in close contact with pony because he shares a bed with him (and he spoils pony when he’s sick) and not even a day later, soda has a tummyaches and a stuffy head. steve and johnny are next—soda doesn’t take off work often and steve always comes by to check up on him, as does johnny (who brings pony his work) and while steve and johnny have some of the strongest immune systems in the gang (dumpster diving weekly does wonders on your immune system), they always end up getting sick. two bit falls next and then dally does and suddenly they’re all sick.
when they’re all sick, they’re usually all at the curtises. pony and soda are absolutely pitiful, constant whining, complaining, begging for darry to do something…it’s sorrowful. soda has the worlds most vocal stomach and pony’s begging him to shut it up cause he has a raging headache. darry just wants to sleep. when darry’s sick, all he wants to do is sleep, but he still insists on making the gang soup (even tho the smell makes him want to puke, he can’t keep down anything when he’s sick) johnny’s kinda annoyed(?) he hates being doted on, insisting he can do everything himself when he can’t really. it’s not that hard to twist his arm and coax him into sitting down though. two bit and steve get loopy. two’s drunk and sick, not much more to say on him. steve is out of it. he doesn’t know where he is or what he’s doing. all he knows is his head is pounding and he’s somehow nauseous and hungry and the same time and he hates it. dally’s beyond reason, you make a sound around him and he’s already on his way to belt you. he refuses to take medicine, refuses to eat unless it’s on his own accords, he’s impossible
i’m in a sickfic mood can yall tell
