Here's a thought I've had for ages but haven't posted: Zach's big "I made it" moment as a song writer was when people started making minecraft parodies of his songs.

Grojband is this cartoon from 2013 that was on Cartoon Network. I won’t go into full detail about it but all you need know is that it was show about a 13 year old boy trying to make his band get big but he doesn’t have inspiration for lyrics so he steals his sister’s diary to get it, making her going into this state called diary mode in which she goes into a rage(or another emotion but mostly rage)and flames rise around her as she writes

What does this have to do with my itgo head canon? Simple. Deep within my bones, I know that Angel watched grojband as a child. So now whenever Zach is writing or is angry, Angel goes “Uh oh, he’s in diary mode. Quick, escape before the flames show up!” And then runs off

But the rest of Saturday has no idea what he’s talking about/referencing and he won’t elaborate. Eventually it just becomes an inside joke and is actually said in interviews a few times(this show is obscure enough that I think you reference it without name dropping on national television and very few people would know what you’re talking about). And it remains this weird Saturday thing until Angel decides to show the others Grojband. As soon as diary mode is mentioned, Zach turns to Angel and goes, “I knew you weren’t that original”

random but i feel like angel is the type of guy to kiss another guy purely to prove a point. Like some asshole in the Crowd will yell some stupid slurs or something and angel just grabs one of the boys by the face and flips the heckler off? Idk it just feels very him.

today i read if this gets out by sophie gonzales and cale dietrich :) my thoughts (some spoilers ofc):

i only picked this up coz i was like "oo like a band au"..... heyyy wait a minute (larry fic writers, i know you can do better than this)

First of all: FADE TO BLACK!!! YESSSSS (I am so glad!!)

Ugh, all the adults in this sucked. I guess that was kind of the point though. Geoff was an arsehole. And Ruben's mum. They deserve to get decked.

He's gorgeous, sure. But gorgeous in an "I want to consensually pin you down" sort of way, or an "I want to be you" sort of way?

That made me laugh. It do be like that.

Man, I felt bad for Jon.

"You're asking me to show my body," says Jon. "We've talked about this. I don't feel comfortable."

Like literally Angel is right there volunteering. What is their problem?

Idk how the music industry works so I can't really comment on that, but I'm sure some of it was a bit dramatised. Not the controllingness, I believe that, sure, but the part at the end where like 6 of their songs make the list from like 2 nights alone. They must have crazy viewership.

Also the fact that Angel nearly got hit by a car totally made me think he was gonna get hit later, which he did. It's fun to be right. :)

I also couldn't tell the difference between the 2 characters' POVs. Apart from the obvious name at the start. I kept forgetting who's chapter I was in and having to look at who was being refered to by name (tho maybe i'm just dumb).

I don't have anything to say about the actual romance. It was pretty standard. There were no glaring red flags, which was nice for a change. (Actually, there definitely could have been some more chemistry. It felt a bit dead. They were telling and not showing again.) Just another classic we-kissed-and-now-our-friendship-might-be-ruined-but-we-work-it-out-and-kiss-again-and-then-theres-some-outside-conflict-but-that-turns-out-alright-and-we-live-happily-ever-after. :))

Okay read, I guess. I think my standards are pretty low recently lol.

I didn't like the cover art tho. That could've been better. :P
