Peeling the bloody shirt off of your body and throwing it on the wooden floor of the ship,you sit heavily on your bed and heave a heavy sigh; today was exhausting.

It started out like any other day;with you waking up to your crewmates loud banter and getting dressed as you made your way over to the kitchen to have a simple breakfast. Soon,a small land was found,and it was time for reloading the stuff you needed to sail off again.

Helping everyone was as always,a challenge. As you tried to stop your crewmates from making any mess,and at the same time remembering every single item on the list. And simply putting them in the storage had took all your afternoon rest. And if that wasnt enough,everyone on the ship had agreed to go out and drink because it's been a while since you had hit the land.

And if your day wasnt exhausting enough,all hell broke loose as you stepped inside the bar.

Everything was good for the first thirty minutes. That is,until a group of young marines had barged in; seemingly have heard from the locals about the pirates luring around.

The fight was ugly.

You take your head in your hands as the images of the fight flashes across your eyes;the sickly smell of blood still lingering in your nose.

A horse chuckle escapes his lips,and before you know it, you're being lead to your bed.

What sre these students also going to do about practical issues if they rely on something like chatgtp?

I don't know if they overly rely on it or not, but chatgtp ain't going to have solutions to the many hurdles life throws your way.

Hm. Well. I think folks who rely on ChatGPT will continue to rely on ChatGPT until it clearly and obviously screws them over.

That might be a big, obvious, well-publicized global incident. We've already had a couple, like that lawyer who lost his license after ChatGPT made up fake cases for her paperwork. It'd have to be something like that, but waaaay bigger scale, something pretty much no one could miss.

But frankly, I suspect it's going to be individual failures that everyone has to have on their own. Ask an LLM on how to fix their car, its advice ends up fucking the car up more, and now they have an expensive bill to make the lesson sink in. Ask ChatGPT to write something difficult for their significant other, and whoops, now you're having a big relationship fight. Ask ChatGPT a health question, end up getting super sick. ETC.

And once a person realises they can't use ChatGPT for everything, then it's not like their brains are irreparably damaged. I've seen a LOT of notes in the last two weeks that are people being like "you're damaging your brain" and like, I think that's a very bold statement to make. Generative AI hasn't been available for very long, so there can't be many studies on the subject to show one way or another. But even if we are, brains are resilient! it can recover from huge major stuff, like drug addiction and depression and brain surgery! it can and will recover from ChatGPT.

so i am not doomer about this, honestly, genuinely. but i do really hope we can nip this stuff in the bud before too many doctors and architects and policy makers and the like have to learn this lesson the hard way, because this does have the capacity to really hurt folks.

Which means we need to fix this problem at the source, and ask the question: why are So Many People using LLMs for their work?

And that's a broad and multi-faceted question and I don't think there's a single simple answer. But when it comes to education? I think a big portion is: overwork.

I remember seeing this scene a couple years after finishing secondary school and it resonated SO much. And my understanding is it's only gotten worse in the 10-ish years since I got my undergrad.

And it's not just the level of work.... It's the level of work where so much of it is pointless, or unnecessary.

On a micro-level, that's assignments created with no real thought about learning outcomes, just there to tick boxes. (Thinking of the time where we were told "we should have" kept diaries for all our extracurriculars 15 months into the two year IB course, and my whole year spent like two hours writing a whole bunch of fake ones retroactively). On the other side of the coin, it might be that assignment is genuinely important for learning that subject matter, but the person doesn't actually care about the subject matter, they just need a diploma, because society has decided a diploma is the magic piece of paper you need to get a job, and cost of living is rising crazily pretty much the world over, so you really Can't care about the sanctity of education or whatever.

When that happens, of course kids (and adults) are gonna start using ChatGPT as a shortcut. And while I'm certain there are some folks who are overusing it to the ridiculous amount, they're probably a minority, and we probably shouldn't overstate the problem.

So, uh. How to get people to stop relying so much on AI?

We need to start fixing education! And to start fixing education, we need to start fixing capitalism itself, because that's what's introducing many of the perverse incentives

... by which of course I mean it's a huge problem, and knotty, and I don't know how to tackle it all. Why should I? I'm a rando on the internet. I used to teach, but only for a handful of years, and at mostly a kindergarten level. There are better qualified folks than I to propose education reforms.

But in the short term, I think cutting down a lot on homework, and having most essays and assignments written in-class by hand might be a good start.

im sorry but ill just never buy into this narrative. you dont have to agree with me when i say i forgive him or talk about the sympathetic traits i find in him but on this case i just cannot be swayed and im not taking talk backs. it doesnt make sense for his character nor for the story and theres a very easy very interesting interpretation of that frame anyway (he sees the funeral from the outside through his phone because his crime was entirely online and, unlike the other characters, there isnt a set location for anything pre/during/post murder. cause it was in his phone)

and on a personal opinion. taking this so literally and SWEARING up and down he physically showed up to the girl's house kind of defeats the whole point of his themes. every character has set themes and a societal problematic they represent (haruka- child neglect, the result of abandoning and outcasting someone from society all their life. shidou- dubious medical decisions, the ethics of very specific situations in the medical field. mikoto- overworking and masking, the consequences of a society that forces its people to conform to a norm, etc) and futa's is the mob mentality and shield enforced by social media that can easily corrupt anyone at all no matter how pure or noble their initial intentions/morals are. its about the twitter users that will kickstart harrassment campaigns before fact checking or over the most innocuous things (see: kpoptwt currently making up the most gross allegations en masse about the group lesserafim because of a made up rivalry with their label mate newjeans). if futa breached that line between online and real life by physically showing up to his victim's house (be it before or after the fact) the initial themes fall apart. cause then he's dangerous in. real. life.

at that point, what story do we want to tell? why is it that we need futa to be this horrible when his actions online are enough for people to be unable to forgive him? lets sit back for a second and question ourselves on the reason we have to turn him into a creep and believe he became a threat in real life to justify disproving his actions. why we cant simply judge him from his online behavior, that caused much harm than he couldve done in a face-to-face argument. cause that is the excuse people online will use. theyre not hurting anyone in real life, so why should their posts online define their character?

pd: you can bring up the fact that his professor situation was in real life. and youre correct. but that part of the story can easily be placed as the only needed merge of realities for his case: he didnt actually confront the professor, the university isnt as private of a place as a family house so he still has some anonimity (he made the post, but who took the picture? u could not tell if he did it himself or got it from other sources, we just know bc we saw it). not to mention it still correlates: hes brave through the screen, but a complete coward in the flesh. he took a picture of the scene whilst hiding and did nothing to stop it. as much as denouncing the professor is a good thing (and the only good thing he does in the mv), he was still a coward. as ive already explained, mixing the online actions with forced real life ones in the actual murder case he has misses this point

Stress induced insomnia wont let him. He would really like to sleep, if he could. It’s not that he doesn’t want to. He just can't.

He eats pretty well though. Sometimes skips meals when he's super busy, but he's otherwise pretty good. He understands that a well fed body is an efficient body!

Definitely has a poorly kept personal quarters

He has pretty good personal hygiene, though.

He takes showers regularly and brushes his teeth, he has an image to uphold and he enjoys taking care of himself

He's more unsanitary in his own personal space. He doesn't change his bedsheets often, hasn't swept the floor in forever, lots of unwashed clothes, etc

Because he’s chronically exhausted, these super simple tasks tend to be really hard for him. If they aren’t essential to his image and performance as resistance leader, he won't do it.

In my opinion most of Leo's stress comes from the fact that he is overly concerned about how people perceive him and his leadership skills. 

He doesn’t want to take breaks because he doesn’t want to be judged for it. He thinks people will go “Oh my god, how can the leader be taking a break when there is so much stuff to do?”

He doesn’t ask for help, or ever show any signs of weakness because he feels the need to be everyone’s personal Hamato beacon of hope. 

Everyone is counting on him. He only lets himself unravel in his locked room where no one is ever allowed to go. Not even his brothers.

On that note, would rather move a whole mountain on his own than admit he needs assistance.

He will actually tell people to stop if they try to help him out. He’ll guilt trip people by saying that they made him feel like he wasn’t doing his work good enough, or he isn’t enough for the resistance. 

He fully believes that he isn't good enough when people try to help him.

People love to bother him. With every single minor inconvenience. And he is expected to deal with them all. 

He honestly shifts from his very outgoing personality to a lot more closed off as he gets older.

He’s definitely not rude or anything, he’s just trying to ensure his interactions with people do not go on longer than they need to.

Its for his own sanity.

Also chronically overworked

I agree that Donnie would lock himself in his lab and work excessively.

He tends to believe his worth is only determined by what he can offer intellectually, and therefore pours his life and soul into his projects

His tech is also more or less what is keeping everyone alive. Their base is secured with Donnie’s tech and fortified with Donnie’s tech and armed with Donnie’s tech

Also really bad at taking breaks. 

They are so twins.

I see the headcanon that he literally survives on only coffee everywhere, but I don't think that's super realistic for an apocalypse. 

Non essentials are not easily accessible.

I also think he sleeps pretty well because he understands how quickly the brain deteriorates when he doesn’t sleep. 

He knows how inefficient it is, and he hates inefficiency.

Doesn’t usually eat more than one meal a day. 

Sometimes he'll skip eating for a full day if he's really busy.

He could possibly be malnourished. It's most likely very common in the apocalypse and he is a giant mutant turtle who needs more food.

And he probably only consumes quick and easy food that gives him the bare minimum of nutrients to function. Nutrition is important, but not as important as sleep

I'm so sorry Donnie lovers but I lowkey think he doesn’t have super great personal hygiene

We know he's a bit of a germaphobe so I don’t think it would be too bad, just skipping showers and brushing his teeth occasionally when he’s super absorbed in how work especially because it doesn’t affect his performance at all

We know he's a neat freak (and control freak) so I believe his personal space would be really clean.

It makes him feel like he’s not loosing his mind

Lowkey a hot take, but I think Donnie has the best mental health out of the four. 

Not to say that it’s good. He is stressed and overworked, for sure. They all are.

But I do think he’d have a semi private lab, and people wouldn’t be constantly harassing him

I like to headcanon that he has a little mail system for when people need repairs done around the base

You put this little slip of paper into his little mailbox and that way he has a written report of everything he needs to get done AND he didn’t have to interact with anyone.

Win win!

Being a control freak, he is controlling everything he is physically able to, and as of right now, it’s helping him stay somewhat sane.

I'm so excited to explore how and why Raph would lean into the ‘anger issues' stereotype that holds most iterations of Raph in a choke hold.

Being released from his duties of leader, I think Raph feels less inclined to keep himself put together

He copes with stress through punching shit. We know this.

I believe as a response to stress, Raph would yell more frequently (out of fear) and eventually that would translate to physical violence.

We see this at the beginning of the movie with Leo.

I believe this physical violence is directed not towards allies but more to enemies. He becomes a formidable warrior due to his anger. I'm talking crazy strong and insanely vicious. 

Although because of his size and violent tendencies most mutants and people in their base are afraid he'll explode and use that violence on one of them one day.

They treat him like he's a bomb, and if they rub him the wrong way he'll blow up in their faces

This irritates Raph further. 

We love circular conflicts!

I believe he sleeps well. Actually, I think he sleeps a bit too much.

He feels isolated because of the way people talk to him and refer to him. To cope with that he sleeps 12-18 hours a day. He tries to spend as much time away from people as possible.

He pretends he does it to slow his metabolism so he doesn't have to eat as many rations, being the biggest guy in the resistance.

I think he would be pretty clean himself, but his room wouldn't be.

I love portraying people's personal spaces/rooms as a reflection of their minds.

Not necessarily messy, just extremely disorganized.

He doesn’t know what to do with himself, he feels like his strength is his only use, and people don’t see him as strong and powerful, they’re just scared

And that reflects in how he doesn’t really know what to do with the stuff in his room. Things that he holds dear to him or felt like they represented everything he believed pre apocalypse don’t really have a distinct home in his room anymore

They’re just… laying on the floor somewhere.

This might be a bit of a reach but I think he meditates to deal with this too. Specifically with Mikey when they’re both not busy.

He eats less than he should be because of the way they hand out rations, but for the circumstances he eats pretty well.

Mikey is swamped with a LOT more responsibility than he is used to very very quickly.

He becomes “the mystic guy”. He’s in charge of most (if not all) of the mystic mojo that goes on in the resistance.

I think Draxum and him created some sort of mystic force field that blocks the Krangs powers to hide their base

If you remember that scene where the Krang finds the key by going into Raph’s head and finding their base?

Yeah the force field basically prevents the Krang from being able to do that.

He has to replenish the force field every once in a while, which drains him a lot, and even more so if (when) Draxum dies and they can’t split the burden 50/50

So this boy is OVER. WORKED.

One of the few future headcanons I really like is the fact that Mikey looks significantly older is a result of mystic overuse

It makes a lot of sense in my opinion

In my opinion his body is deteriorating and aging a lot faster because he doesn’t have access to adequate amounts of sleep, hydration, or nutrition, and on top of that he’s basically putting his body through the equivalent of running a marathon every single day through his mystic powers

I think in his early days of training he actually overate a little

He was trusted in the rations kitchens, so he’d take a little extra and he would steal rations from Donnie and sometimes Leo and Raph when they didn’t eat

In his head it wasn’t bad if it was to a good cause, refueling his super tired and achy body

He learned better though, he doesn’t do that anymore. I do think he is the best at eating all three meals every single day, though.

I also think he sleeps really well, against his will. He’s always so physically tired, so he always goes to bed early so he’s well rested.

I think he’s also pretty hygienic all around, just a little goodie two shoes

Due to his mystic powers, I headcanon him with chronic pain in his arms, along with terrible migraines.

Donnie making compression sleeves for Mikey is like, my favourite headcanon ever

I don’t think the damage would be similar to Good Future (too much power all at once), but instead normal amounts of power used way too many times way too close together.

TLDR; Overworked muscles, basically.

I think Mikey is the favourite turtle for people to ask for guidance (Leo is a very close second), so he also has to deal with a lot of people asking him questions all the time. He gets swarmed whenever he has a break

Thoughts on fan backlash: The Good and the Evil.

With the recent massive Pokemon leak bringing a lot of internal Gamefreak correspondance to light, I wanted to just give a stream of consciousness on my thoughts about people's reaction to fan backlash, and how it can have both really good and completely evil impacts.

I think the Pokemon fanbase has speculated for a long time that low Gen 5 sales caused Gamefreak to begin their excessive Kanto pandering in Gen 6, 7, and early Gen 8 in an attempt to increase profit.

And while I understand the apprehension about fans being unhappy with the Unova dex restriction, I think a sales dip was only inevitable as Pokemon's initial overseas fanbase entered their cringy teen years. Blaming it on foreigners and the entire Unova dex was a gross overreaction. And as someone who was in their early teens when BW launched and only had good things to say about it, it baffles me that the controversy even existed in the first place.

But later controversies had even kid me upset with Gamefreak- the low difficulty of the games (which comes and goes nowadays), games coming out with missing/underdeveloped features, severe performance errors, and of course, Dexit (when I was an adult). BW only having Unova Pokemon in their regional dex was fine, since all the older Pokemon were still in the postgame and game data ready for transfer. So when is fan outrage justified, and when isn't it?

I guess the main problem here is making a series for children, wanting to keep it for children (nothing wrong with that), but trying to get all your feedback from teenagers and adults online, since most kids (at least back in the 2010s) can't access social media as easily to enunciate their thoughts. Because meaningful feedback (Make the stories better paced, make the games at least as tough as they were in Gens 3-5, improve competitive custom games, improve continuity between games, bring back the Battle Frontier, etc) conflict with Gamefreak's backwards mindset of "kids are stupid and want easy games, boring characters, and flashy features we'll scrap next gen". Which leaves the only criticism they can respond to being "Let's appeal to the shallow Genwunners by focusing way too much on Kanto Pokemon."

A part of me worries for the dark potential future where Gamefreak listens to fan backlash about Gen 8's Dexit, and makes a game with all 1100+ Pokemon available. But due to internal pressures and overworking their employees on a poorly planned schedule, the game runs awfully and has next to no postgame. As a result, reception to this game is naturally negative, but both dimwitted Gamefreak executives and a small handful of especially stupid fans think "Oh, this happened because we had all the Pokemon in the game- we should never do this again, and blame fans who want basic features in the games from now on!" instead of the obvious lesson "We shouldn't overwork our employees and instead take our time to make a functioning and fun game."

And for anyone who has followed my blog since its early days, you'd know I am (was?) a huge amourshipping fan, partly because I love the XY anime, partly because I really enjoy Serena as a character, and partly because I had a foolish hope that the anime would try to properly progress Ash as a character instead of what they wound up doing in Gens 7-8. And apparently The Pokemon Company limited Serena's screentime in Journeys because they were too scared of fan backlash at the risk of handling her wrong, with the former XY director getting threats over such issues (I won't comment on what kind of fans were making the threats as they weren't specified in the leak) in her only return episode. And I know this may come across as naiive or insensitve, but... who cares? There's always going to be a handful of crazy fans trying to stan or hate a certain character- what do YOU as a creator think is best for YOUR character and YOUR story? And as long as the overall public is fine with your story, who cares what the few psycho fans think one way or the other? Why sabotage your own story not to appease the majority, not even to please a minority, but to silence a minority? I think more fans both casual and hardcore would be happy to see Ash and Serena get together than the amount who would be upset by it. It just feels like cowardice.

But when it comes for stories made for older audiences, listening to feedback becomes a more complex story. On the opposite end, a lot of fanbases like to bootlick for big companies when they make blatantly discriminatory decisions. For a non-Pokemon example, I'll cite The Mandarin in Iron Man 3. Marvel changed the character from an offensive Chinese sterotype to a self-aware vague Middle Eastern stereotype played by a goofy British man in-universe in order to avoid hate from Chinese audiences.

And there was a lot of fandom drama from this choice naturally, between fans who wanted a real villainous and Chinese Mandarin, and fans who enjoyed the twist and appreciated Marvel's choice to not risk an offensive Chinese stereotype. I was a bit too young to participate in any of this drama at the time, but I generally enjoyed the twist Marvel did, while also sympathising with fans who liked the comic storylines.

Well apparently, the fan backlash to Iron Man 3 was enough to compel Marvel to make a short film called "All Hail the King" in the same year, where they confirmed there was indeed a real East Asian villainous Mandarin somewhere in the MCU. And eventually in Shang Chi (8 years later), the real Mandarin did appear as Xu WenWu, an incredibly cool and compelling villain who wasn't harmfully stereotypical at all! I know the extremely racist Marvel executive Ike Perlmutter getting fired after Iron Man 3 and before Shang Chi probably contributed, but I can't help but wonder if fan backlash was the main cause for us getting WenWu eventually? In the alternate universe where everyone agreed to shut up and happily accept the Iron Man 3 version of the Mandarin, would there be no WenWu? Would that universe be all the worse as a result?

And then, there's the difference between "fans" and "fandoms". Sometimes I think both creators and fans forget that the main audience for a show does indeed love it, but rarely do they "obsess" over it. I've always said that children love good stories, while adults find excuses to love bad stories. Take my brother for example- he loves many cartoons, and has a lot of valid points to say about their storytelling, but I would never at all say he's a "fandom" kind of guy. Meanwhile, myself and all my animation colleagues are very much in fandoms, or at least aware of them. So one of my fellow animator friends was very surprised when they found out my brother and his friends had no idea what a "tumblr sexyman" even was, but still enjoyed cartoons and their stories nonetheless. You mean you can enjoy a cartoon for the actual content it has, without obsessively thirsting over characters or getting attached to completely fictitious ships and headcanons? No way!!

It's important to remember that when making stories for kids, the shipping/thirst/drama opinions of fandoms never really matter as long as you've put genuine thought and care into your characters and story. You don't have to deliberately insult, offend, or repel fandoms (though with enough skill and tact it could be funny I guess), just pay them no mind as you try and make the best show you can. Which is a lesson I'd like to take in making my own stories. As I make content on Youtube and beyond, I keep reminding myself that the most important viewers I have are the ones I'll hear from the least- kids with very little social media presence. And if I barely hear from that audience, the best I can do isn't to pander to my adult fans (though I still hope they like what I do if it suits them), but to keep having faith in my own content, and to be open to constructive criticism when it arrives (obviously different from insults and threats, which I've thankfully never gotten anyways)

EC Sephiroth-Glenn Halloween Event Spoilers

I'm providing a spoiler summary for you guys here, since this concerns (noncanon??) FS content for the Halloween event. Chill dumb holiday fun below the cut.

The FS trio is minding its own business on the Rhadoran island getting the new mako reactor ready when they come across a strange portal! Matt explains that it's used for teleportation. Hojo gets namedropped again.

Glenn, like an idiot, just immediately hops on in. Sephiroth decides to go in to get him. Matt and Lucia stay behind.

They end up in spooky Halloween Nibelheim! Sephiroth says that Glenn is TOTALLY getting written up for being so reckless. He's concerned about staying focused on the mission. Little stickler for the rules!

While he's lecturing Glenn, the portal closes behind him. Now they're stuck here.

Glenn approaches a strange red hooded figure that turns into a spoopy pumpkin thing. Battle time!

This event is in honor of some sort of strange harvest festival for the holidays. Seph dumps some spooky lore. But there are real monsters wandering around. Glenn wants to evacuate everyone asap! Sephiroth advises that they take it slow and logical.

They come across a scared kid without a costume. The kid pleads for them to save his town from the Dark Army (festival lore shit). The monsters came out of a hole somewhere apparently, aka the portal.

So we gotta go find the leader of the Dark army if we want to find the portal materia. Glenn keeps calling himself a superhero. Aww.

To weed out the real monsters from the costumed civilians, we have to go up to them and say "tussle or treat". This is so fucking stupid lmao It's so cute. Glenn and Seph keep snipping at each other. Also cute.

After wandering around the town, Glenn and Seph can't find the army's leader. Montage of them butting heads and having no luck at all! Seph is gonna look into more Dark Army lore to find some clues.

The boy from earlier explains that the Dark Army eats people's feelings (anger, hate, fear, etc.) and they use them to grow. They scare people in order to feed. Glenn decides to go look for a main hideout. Seph, wanting to minimize casualties from this outing, still wants to keep a low profile.

Seph is STILL pissy about Glenn getting them into this situation. Glenn calls him a hard-ass. The monsters are dwindling but STILL no results! The boy points out that maybe they should wear costumes so that they can trick the monsters.

WHERE CAN THEY FIND COSTUMES YOU MAY ASK??? Oh shit oh fuck Seph run baby please.

Sephiroth is VERY suspicious of the boy since he keeps giving them perfect advice. The boy says that he and his friends sometimes go into the mansion to play. HMMMMMMMMMMM.

They arrive at the mansion (fuck). THEY ARE IN THE LIBRARY (FUCK FUCK FUCK). The boy reveals he doesn't know what Shinra is.

OH SHIT SEPHIROTH STARTS HAVING AN EPISODE.

Flashback dialogue HOJO: "ENDURE THE PAIN SEPHIROTH, YOU HAVE YET TO REACH YOUR THRESHHOLD THE MORE YOU ENDURE THE GREATER THE POWER WILL AWAKEN WITHIN YOU HEHE"

SAEDRFGHJGFDSFG FUCK ABUSED LAB RAT BACKSTORY FUCKING CONFIRMED.

Sephiroth seems okay after his brief spell. But Glenn is concerned, especially since he says Sephiroth always overworks himself. Sephiroth is surprised at this. No one has ever told him to take it easy. In fact, it's always been the opposite.

We're interrupted by another monster. Sephiroth is nervous that he led them here, after all they feed off of negative emotions.

Seph and Glenn find their costumes. Seph in his demon costume and Glenn in a pumpkin mask with a top hat.

It looks like we're finally nearing to defeat the leader. The boy reveals that HE'S been the leader all along! Called it. He reveals that in killing all the monsters, he gets to feed on as many people he wants.

After kicking the leader's ass, we finally reach the ending. Seph slices that fucker, while it warns them that so long as negative emotions exist, so will it.

Seph and Glenn seem to reconcile now that the portal is open, even finishing each other's sentences. Glenn suggests that for once, Seph should follow his lead and slack off with him at the festival and stuff their faces with festival food.

Seph's tummy rumbles and he's about to relent. But Glenn gets sucked into the portal anyway. Seph is sad he can't try the pumpkin soup now. Oh well!

In the epilogue, Seph and Glenn return to the others through the portal, still in costumes like idiots. Neither of them remember the events of the festival. So basically square can shitpost all they want without anyone remembering rofl this is SO STUPID AND GREAT

This was a cute story! And not without substance. The reveal about Hojo is genuinely horrifying.

So I've definitely manifested a lot in the last few days and I'm just so proud and happy.

So at first I wanted this job right, it's called Au Pair, basically an exchange program and taking care of kids from people in a different country and when we have time off we can explore Paris or wherever we are, you know. So I really wanted to do that and I was reading up on it and then decided to get another job that pays a lot so when I go be an Au Pair ill have enough money to do anything in France (where I want to go, you can go to any country besides ur own and UK if u from US, unless I manifest it differently but I am lazy)

So I decided one day to somehow find a fun job that pays 5k a week and I think either later that day or the next day my mom sends me this job offer on indeed which was a cruise ship and I signed up right away (the pay 15 an hour but.. I KNOW I'm getting 5k a week)

I researched that and heard.. Really good things about it... But I know it's gonna be fun, only like 6 hours every day- one break day and one half day so it will be so fun and for 20k a month? Hell yea.

So the manifestations- I heard from research it was so hard to get responses in time, like so hard some people where emailing crazy to this company to only be told they missed something or they were already set, there was no communication and I was like ummm no I'm getting instant replys. And I did-

I did the interview, got the application like two hours after cuz I knew I was gonna get it and I just watched YouTube to keep it from making me overthink, the next day I got both an offer letter and the onboarding contacted me. Which mind you even the interview person said that it will take around 3 weeks to get all of that, which is crazy.

Another thing is, I need to pay for only one thing and they pay for the rest.. I didn't have any way to pay so I've been affirming that everything always works out for me and yesterday I got a text from someone and I told her about it and she set me up with something that can pay it all-its only 125.25

Mind u again, this all started Monday with a collective virtual interview with 70 people, it was the first interview of the week (cuz people signed up for it) so the fact that they emailed me so fast was definitely my doing.

So now I'm visualising and affirming how good and fun this cruise job is, because it is, why wouldn't it. I see the part where when I don't think about it so much and overthink if I'm just gonna get on a ship where they overwork you, I am a God, I control this world this world loves me and can't control me 🥰. It's crazy how easy this is tbh, ik I've heard it before and took it in but just saying I got it already and just going about my day and getting it like the same day, 😖😍 it's so awesome.

All methods I really did was my voice in tik tok telling me over and over "everything always works out for me" (only has it playing once a day for idk how long-for 2 days) and being confident, that confidence really played a role in this whole thing. I talked about the job like I already got it, talked about the planning of it before I even got the offer letter, visualized packing cool clothes in my luggage, researching onboarding advice etc.. For a while (it's been 5 days-its only 6am so 4 days lol)

As everyone says, "act as is" act as if you already have it, keep that state and watch a normal YouTube video (not on manifesting or shifting) or before bed, act as is and then go to sleep no need to get into this alpha state or void state (you are void) if you had that thing you wanted, would you try to keep awake and do all of this stuff? No you'll go to sleep like normal, you'll get it, it's that easy.

The other students quirks are stronger (I hate that Bakugou had it easy. I’m a purebred hater).

Momo was trained and is more skilled at using her quirk (she’s rich why didn’t her parents hire a trainer for her canonically?)

Tenko’s mom leaves with the grandparents and his sister before he loses control. He now attends UA.

OFA is still out there plotting I guess.

Overhaul is good and works at UA in support heroes/medical.

Eri is not abused and has a decent relationship with Chisaki even though he is an overworking germaphobe.

Along with what appears in the anime there is:

A spa on campus that is free for hero course students. They offer normal and medical massages, mud baths, meditation, sauna, steam room, lounge, ice fountain, treatment rooms and other beauty and wellness services (yes, I'm going to abuse this).

There is practically an extra little town on the mountain with the school due to all the school amenities and staff.

Massive library with study rooms n stuff.

Lots of school festivals, dances and other events.

Classes

UA Departments: Hero, Support (fashion, tech, etc), Business, Gen Ed.

There’s home room which is where you spend most of your time. We do gen Ed and hero law stuff with our home room.

Students can take any electives ranging from costume design to home ec, Solo training to costume engineering.

Students are encouraged to try out things through electives and clubs.

There are free lifestyle classes on weekends so you can take a quick class on cooking, sewing, gardening, first aid without the commitment or worry of grades.

Everyone gets a free holographic tablet thing for the schedule, note taking and to access the school app thing.

The app lets us access the dorms if we don’t have a physical I’d on us, order at the school restaurants with free delivery from the campus delivery bots. It’s just has a bunch of handy features.

Instead of one lunchroom there are many dining halls around campus. If you’re a boarding student then food is free.

The restaurants have a certain numbers of items you can pick from to create a reasonable meal. Anything extra you have to pay for.

Sorry if this is super annoying but I just found your TSoF comic and was wondering if it was ever coming back, of if it's been finished and I just can't find the ending

Hello anon, don't worry it's not annoying. Glad to hear you like it so much ❤️ . Unfortunately TSOF is far from being finished 🥺. I haven't been able to work on any of my art for months now actually.

It's not out of laziness though! In fact I've bought a display tablet back in June 😗. The shorthand answer as to why I stopped posting is because I have health issues specifically with my hands and wrist. I meant to post this update months prior but I kinda just forgot about it sorry 😵‍💫.

Anyways, a few months ago I was both working and had my internship at the same time (12 hours + of work 😩). I was a UI/UX designer intern and if that wasn't enough my job required using the computer as well. Due to that my hands have been really tired 🤔. It's either my wrist from using my mouse for long hours or the joints of my fingers from typing and tapping left click and whatnot. This went on for about three months give or take. There have been mornings when I wake up with trigger fingers and it's kinda scary.

If you don't know what trigger finger is, basically the tendons are swollen and I wake up with my finger joints 'locked" into a curled position. And when you try to uncurl it, it's pretty painful and curls back on its own. One time I had to support my finger with a makeshift splint from a popsicle stick and yarn pfffttt.

Sometimes I don't even need to overwork them, holding my phone for too long or even something like cold weather makes my joints slightly ache. Basically my hands have been overworked and though I haven't gotten them checked, I'm pretty certain experiencing these symptoms in my early 20s isn't okay.

As soon as I could, I've avoided drawing (and writing and crochet and pretty much all my hobbies that use my hands). It sucks cuz that pretty much means it'll be a while before I can really have fun with my new tablet (which would've been another learning curve delay). Thankfully with my internship over with, I've been using the extra time to either rest my hands or find ways to support them (I've bought wrist casts, a heating pad and sports tape thus far). Yeah, so I've been trying to take it easy (as much as I can anyways I still have work after all).

Low key it kinda brought up a fear in me of never being able to draw again. And the problem with me is that when I'm in the zone you can expect me to draw for HOURS and I'll barely even notice 👁️👄👁️ . Plus trying to accomplish anything under 1 hour never seems enough to me. So I decided it was for the best to stop completely. To my fellow artists out there I hope you never have to go through the same thing 😵‍💫. Please rest your precious hands, don't be like me 🤣🙏.

For more happy news, I graduated 🎓 last October!!! 🎈 And I have continued working in my job 👏. I'm building my career and doing well generally speaking. My busy schedule is very much still busy but I really miss drawing too 😭.

I'm not really sure when I can go back to posting 🥲 cuz overworking myself again will set my recovery progress back to 0. However I can tell that my hands are definitely getting better (still not a full recovery but at least waking up with trigger fingers has stopped).

Be assured that all my unfinished works (whether its for gojohime, astelle, shortaki etc.) are still in the back burner of my brain. And I will get back to them when my health gets even better 😗.  And a big thanks to anyone that is still waiting by the time I come back 😌 💖.

i've been reading your posts about industry topics and the current h & b*n situation (and the az*offs) and i just can't comprehend how someone can sell their voice and values and morals for money? to continue their career? it just seems so money-hungry to me yk? and weak-minded, i don't want to sound rude because i don't know everything about the whole situation but yeah. i get having a dream, wanting to fulfil that dream and once one has it its hard to let go but how can one just turn off one's consciousness, ignore it all? for money, fame, a dream? my biggest dream is to be a model, i got castings and offers but i'd rather not achieve that dream if that means supporting a system that glorifies anorexia, is fatphobic etcetc, i was 17 back then. it was so easy to choose my morals. idk i'm rambling sorry for that, i just had this in my head. also when he does say political stuff etcetc why is he also supporting people like w*nstok az*offs etc? you cant be an ally and concurrently support antis yk... i mean yk ok i'll. stop rambling sorry for my english, not my first language :/

I think the modelling industry has been exposed for its problematic issues to the wider public a lot earlier on than the music industry has. Sure, both industries are very messy, but it’s a lot easier to point out “oh the modelling industry is fatphobic/encourages eating disorders” than “the music industry is corrupt and artists are forced to be closeted and overworked to the point of taking adrenaline shots before shows and barely ever actually seeing any of their own money the whole time” for the general public, because a lot of them just don’t have the awareness of how bad the music industry truly is, unless they’ve done research, been in this fandom (or one similar), or have come across info on social media about it, which is happening more and more these days. The technology to now communicate to massive groups of people and expose people/industries/artists and everything is an excellent tool to encourage change. The modelling industry has certainly seen a shift, and the music industry is slowly moving a bit as well. It’s just… an absolute mess though.

At the end of the day, they were kids who auditioned for a singing show because their mums encouraged them to, and they had no idea what was gonna happen if they did “make it”. Shooting to fame from the X Factor where you already get a huge amount of PR from being on TV, as opposed to working your way up slowly and seeing how it works, and understanding what you want, and choosing labels/managers etc. to work with who you know for a fact aren’t gonna do what Coward did, is just vastly different. I didn’t understand so much about the industry until I was already in it. And those kids were locked in with contracts, groomed, and thrown into the spotlight. And now they’re men. And we know they are good guys. But… it’s not as simple as just dropping everything to stand up for what you believe in, ya know?

I mean, obviously all the great stuff that they love about their job they want to keep, but they’re also tied up to a million contracts. So it’s actually a really long legal process to cut ties with it all without going entirely bankrupt/sued/having your whole career ruined. It’s very yikes but they’re already in the thick of it, and at the top of it. So yeah. Even just speaking up could mean a breach of contract. It is very disappointing he’s not at the very least cut off W*nston though.

Both industries are profiting at the expense of young hopefuls, both industries have produced incredibly inspiring and fantastic people, and both industries have burnt people out to nothing. It’s extremely frustrating to watch.

こんにちは！！　みんなは元気？私はまあまあ。

I know I said I would post over the summer but I didn't. ごめん！

この夏は忙しいですが、ちょっとつまらなかった。たくさん働きたり、運転したり、ビデオゲームをした。たくさん原神インパクトをした。原神が一番好きです。

あのう、あまり日本語は勉強しなかった。韓国語と中国語も。仕事の後、疲れていた。ごめんなさい。今学期、がんばりましょう！

あのう、昨日の夜、ご飯を作ったのですが、どろどろでした。おいしくなかった。

I know we're a bit in the semester already but I missed the first two weeks because of some family stuff and I was playing catch up when I got back. i've just been so busy with work, school, clubs, etc. and then i was going through relationship drama, and was pretty depressed due to that and overworking myself BUT I will try my best to summarize what we've learned so far.　自分が大丈夫だ。（と思います。）

The major grammar points we've learned so far are

たい／たがっています

たりする

ほうがいいです

んです

すぎる

～ので

お／ご+verb stem+します

can't forget to mention the crap ton of kanji and vocab we have to learn on the daily 😀

you know the drill.... lets go over the grammar!!

So たいです／たくないですadds on to the verb stem and it means want/desire for something

I want to eat = (私は）食べたい（です）。(were gonna keep things casual)

i want to drink alcohol = お酒を飲みたい。

I want to skip class = 授業(じゅぎょう）をサボりたい。

I want to climb Mt. Fuji = 富士山（ふじさん）に登（のぼ）りたい。

I want to make a cake = ケーキを作りたい。

I dont want to learn Japanese = 日本語を習いたくない。

(for negative sentences, instead of い you put the くない。）it's the same for いadjectives so im not gonna cover it much. I think you guys can figure it out. (I believe in you!)

Pretty simple. ます form but put たい instead. EZ PEEZEE

Similarly is たがっている。 that's used when you talk about what someone else wants. If I remember correctly, my teacher told us that expressing your wants is childish in Japanese culture? I think it was something like that but i'll have to fact check that.

So, Tanaka wants to work at the library. = 田中さんは図書館で働きたがっている。

You set it up as if your about to say たい but instead of い, you say がっている。もっと練習しましょう。

母は写真を撮りたがっている。It seems my mom would like to take a picture. Both the tanaka example and mom example are correct. They pretty much mean the same thing.

山下先生は風邪（かぜ）をひきたがっていない。Prof. Yamashita doesnt want to catch a cold. (i looked online and through every paper I had and none specified if I used いません or some other way so were gonna go with this for now.

Again, easy peasy. Moving on.

たりする is used to list events. Its similar to ～て、but て is more like exact events. たり is used to describe things you did without explaining everything, if that makes sense

パリとダブリンに行ったり、買い物をしたりした。= I did things like go to Paris and Dublin and go shopping.

ケーキを作ったり、 本を読んだりした。

たり is in past て form!!

たり implies you did more than JUST going there and shopping. 分かる？instead of たい，you change the い to り and then when you finished the sentence, you can do たりする、たりした、たりします、たりしました、たりするのは／が。。。です～～～ and so forth.

ほうがいいです is should/should not do. Its also called “its better to do…”

You should do something: past+ほうがいいです（ね／よ）

You should not do something: present negative+ほうがいいです（ね／よ）

Por ejemplo,

You should not exercise - うんどうしないほうがいいです。

You should sing - 歌ったほうがいいです。

You should no go out tonight - 今夜出かけないほうがいいです。

You should take medicine - くすりを飲んだほうがいいです。

Its kinda confusing cause theres also ど��ちのほうがいいですか。which we learned last semester but i guess mean the same thing. “Its better if you do xyz”,,,, “which is better?”

We can then pair this up with んです

Lowkey, im an んです hater. Its purpose it to “add emotion”

For present verbs you do dictionary form + んです　ー　食べる＞食べるんです。

For past verbs you do short て form + んです　ー　食べた＞食べたんです。

For positive い adjectives, you simply add the んです after the い。　ー　かわいい＞かわいいんです

For negative present  い adjectives, you negate it normally and then have the んです the ない　ー　かわいくない＞かわいくないんです

For negative past い adjectives you negate it normallly かわいくなかった and simply add the the んです＞かわいくなかったんです。

For な adjectives, you add なんです。元気なんです、好きなんです、にぎやかなんです。

For past な adectives, its just 元気だったんです、すきだったんです、にぎやかだったんです。

The short form of でした.

I feel like its pretty self explanatory.

Function: I provide therapy for hellborne in one of the newer clinics Mammon has opened up in the Sloth Ring, a wing of a larger hospital called the “Fizzy Clinic”. I work alongside many other fizzies at this place. I mainly do psych-evaluations of other fizzies, somehow this has become my priority... I’ll be providing the profiles of the following fizzies after me.

History: I’ve been working here for a couple of years by now, I’m still around so I must be doing something right.

Behaviour: I like to think that I’m straight to the point. I’m not here to sugar-coat things for you, if you’ve got a problem I’ll tell you, you can have the drugs you came here for, then get out of my hair. Some say I ask too many questions, but it’s what I’m supposed to do, so… cry about it.

Function: Does first aid, surgeries, dentist work, assigns medicine and whatever else might be needed to keep you in good(?) health. I wouldn’t say he’s great at what he does though…

History: Me and Doc go way back, we got booted up the same day. It’s always been a hard worker, but I would claim that it doesn’t put quality over quantity. Then again, that’s not part of our policy. This health care is cheap, and he just wants to have fun…

Behaviour: I don’t know. It’s probably the happiest fizzy I’ve ever met, the energy it possesses rivals that of the Loo Loo Land fizzy. I wouldn’t trust this guy with my pen, let alone have him mess around with my insides… Luckily for me, that’s not something I have to worry about. He seems to think we’re best friends, which is starting to become a problem. He’s extremely… clingy. I don't think he's fully reached sentience... perhaps it's better that way.

History: Used to belong to an imp called Burnie Burnz. When found after said imp’s sudden death at Mammon’s Clown Pageant, the model was nearly broken beyond repair. Memory Card has been mostly wiped of the past experience to prevent inability to perform its tasks.

Current Situation: Belongs to a self-proclaimed “otaku”-sinner in the Pride Ring who got her on sale, playing the role of his maid, dress up doll, sex toy and servant in every way. While the life of a companion fizzy isn’t easy, she… seems relatively at peace since her owner always spoils it rotten, despite being a basement-dweller.

Behaviour: Overly chipper and excitable, bordering on concerning. It called itself “kawaii”? Despite this, the bot is very obedient, and its owner doesn’t have any complaints. Satisfied customers is what it’s all about. However, we do regular check ups on it to make sure that no memories resurface…

Model: Caretaker Fizzy

Function: Main tasks include watching over infants, babies, toddlers and children, as well as chaperoning teenagers. Can also help out at home with things such as cooking, buying groceries, wait in line for you, cleaning, giving your teenagers “the talk”, drive them around, etc etc.

History: Belongs to a large imp/hellhound family with a mom and dad who’re barely there, 1 baby, 1 toddler, 3 children and 2 teenagers. This bot has been working for them for over a year already.

Behaviour: Neurotic and overworked, we’re looking into booking an appointment with this fizzy before it snaps like a rubber band, but it always says there’s no time. I’d avoid this one to be safe, she has a temper.

Model: Undertaker Fizzy

Location: Wrath Ring

Function: Its main function is to handle and bury the remains of hellborne that have passed away, a job not many in hell consider necessary. While it’s mainly working in Wrath, the place where many casualties happen to take place, it can be rented out to handle autopsies, preparations for funerals, and burying bodies on both bigger and smaller scales in other rings as well.

History: There’s not much to say. It buries bodies for the Goetian vulture Ipos, who has a deal with Satan. It’s seen a lot of gruesome shit, and it’s not really shaken by the deaths of the breathing anymore, if it ever was. It’s got a job to do, and if you just let it get it done with an occasional smoke break, he’ll be riding off not soon after.

Behaviour: Keeps things brief. Doesn’t say more than needed. He seems stable, one of the very few fizzies I can say that about. A model employee if you will.

Model: Original model was an Office Fizzy, it has been vastly modified at this point

Nicknames: “Manager Fizzy”, “The Manager”, “Bozzy” amongst certain fizzies (like me)

Location: Lust Ring as well as the Greed Ring

Function: The manager at the “Fizzy Factory”, he used to excel at guiding new Fizzies to their stations, give them the information they needed to integrate into society as a companion bot or other, and handled all the paperwork that comes with it. Now it mostly does the latter. While the factory is located in Lust, it belongs to Asmodeus, and Mammon drives the production forward, he’s the one in charge of the factory itself at this point.

History: Having proven itself as reliable, it has a hand in almost every part of the factory, and has history working directly under Mammon. It is one of the older models, once part of the office that handled the paperwork or any kind of law suits coming in. I’ve heard some call him “Ratty” for “Office Rat” at some point… but I never saw that fizzy again.

Behaviour: I’d rather not go into some kind of psychoanalyzing of this guy… but I can tell you that he’s smug, confident, efficient, and a condescending prick. I think he thinks he owns every fizzy out there… or something more paternal… here I go, asking too many questions again. Just pray you don't get him knocking at your door, asking you to return a fizzy whose contract has been breached. He has his ways to get what he wants. To say he's unhappy with Fizzarolli's retirement is an understatement.

Model: Factory Fizzy

Height // Pronouns: 4’ // they/them, secondary he/him. Does not appreciate it/its the slightest.

Location: Lust Ring

Function: Produces, assembles and ships out new fizzies to the public, albeit production has been put on hold as of writing this. They may be called in to do maintenance on other fizzies that arrive to the factory if needed, and scrap them if that is required as well.

History: This particular fizzy is barely a month old by the time I’m writing this, and there’s not much to say about its… their experiences. They have only ever known the inside of the factory, and, most likely, it will remain that way. Unless it finally gets scrapped, that is.

Behaviour: Eyes cast down. Shoulders held high. Seems displeased with their situation at the factory. Nothing new. The Manager tells me that they’re asking too many questions though, and that their production quota wasn't as high as the others’… so we’re looking into that.

Model: Loo Loo Land Fizzy

Nicknames: "Fizzy", "Robo Fizz", "Loo Loo Fizzy"... but those who ask his name when Mammon isn't looking, will get the name "Pinwheel". Considering he's not active anymore... it doesn't really matter what you call him now.

Location: Greed Ring, specifically the remains "Loo Loo Land"

Function: Singing and dancing, entertaining kids, and performing various circus tricks for an audience. It's more athletic than the average fizzy-model, more sturdy and durable, and has a built in security-program that it utilises during and after hours, to make sure that no demons with nefarious intentions cause problems at the park. Unfortunately... this very robot caused plenty of problems all on its own.

History: LLLF-001 was the very first fizzy model to be presented to the public. About a decade old, it was once a novelty you could only see at Loo Loo Land. These days, anybody can get a fizzy, especially after the big blow out sale... yet this fizzy remained at the park, until he took the place down with him, together with an unknown imp. Where he is now... beats me. He was already falling apart before the destruction of the park... Well, I could not care less. I hope he's dead.

Behaviour: LLLF-001 is, in the lack of any other word... rancid. He's energetic and violent, has no limits or reservations on how to treat the guests of the park, and he's quick to insults and making a joke out of you, even if he's the only one laughing. Some children and demons found him entertaining from afar, because they simply did not know better. This bot hates everyone... but then... after falling into disrepair in a park for 10 years... I genuinely can't say that I blame him.

Model: Advertisement and Seller Fizzy

Nicknames: "Ad Fizzy", "Andrzej", "Addy", "Andy", "Anaconda" it doesn't matter what you call him, he's not picky, he'll answer to insults as well I've noticed.

Location: Primarily the Greed Ring, however he will frequent whatever Ring he needs to record or make sales in

Function: Makes commercials, infomercials and so on to sell Mammon's products when Mammon is not available to record. TV, radio, it doesn't matter, if you hear a very nasal fizzy with a lazy New York accent, then it's Andrzej talking. His focus is mainly on the fizzies, and he also runs auctions for pre-owned fizzies. He has been Very busy during the Blow Out Sale, the Fizzy merchandise will be selling for years even if nothing new is produced, and fizzies are being returned and sold at lower prices left and right right now. He'll have plenty to do until the very last fizzy in hell shuts down.

History: Despite being one of the oldest fizzies out there, the only one I can think of rivalling him being the Loo Loo model by a few months maybe..there's not much to say about him. He's been doing this for so long, and he hasn't changed much since the beginning of it all. He's still an absolute drag to talk to. It's almost admirable.

Behaviour: Ugh... Andrzej is known to never stand still and never shut up. Yes, I am aware that most fizzies are like this... but this guy is just something else. He is always trying to sell you something, be it the latest merch, pre-owned Fizzarolli sex-toys, fizzies for consumers, or even trying to get fizzies to ask for upgrades from their owners. Despite being steeped in the business-side of Greed however, he doesn't have the same venom that Greed-fizzies like the Manager have... I think, despite everything, he's managed to remain himself for so long, without losing himself to the misery of what it means to be a fizzy.
