he’s of korean ethnicity and south african nationality — he left the country in mid-2016 to move to south korea. he speaks fluent english and near-fluent korean.

he left to get away from his parents. they weren’t ‘bad,’ but they held certain expectations over him that he just couldn’t meet. they were disappointed in him so, thinking it was the right thing, he moved. for the two years that he’s been in korea, he hasn’t gotten any texts or calls from his parents. he gave up on trying to contact them a few months ago.

if you asked him why he left, he’d just laugh and say he “needed a change of scenery, i guess.”

he has a lot of acquaintances, which are mostly regulars at his place of work, and just a handful of closer friends.

he works at a small, locally-run convenience store and (much to his discomfort) remembers just about every customer who enters. he strongly dislikes working there, but he can’t find a good enough reason to get another job yet.

he’s a gaming youtuber, and he usually records at night after work. his videos are always in english, but they have korean subtitles!

his online persona is just an amplified version of his real life personality. he portrays a loud, obnoxiously snarky guy in his videos. in person, he’s just as witty (moreover, sarcastic) and outgoing.

his gaming channel is GAMEJEAN (he thinks it rhymes with gaming). he primarily plays ‘horror-esque’ games, such as until dawn, the evil within, and the last of us. he has about 3k subscribers.

his newly made personal channel is IMJEAN. there, he uploads average vlogs and (what he hopes are) funny rants. this channel has about 1.5k subscribers.

jimin is the daughter of a police officer and a doctor so within her home the importance of safety and health was heavily emphasized. she wasn't allowed out past the time of the night when the street lights came on, and wasn't allowed to ingest anything that wasn't heart healthy or organic. she was instructed to carry around disinfectant wipes anywhere she went, and reminded of the dangers of world everyday of her life. even though she questioned her parents cautious take on life, she continued to follow each odd request without pushback. even if people stared a little too long when she took twenty seconds to wipe down a door handle before entering a building. precautions most people found strange, and she was heavily bullied because of it. though their words shot her spirit, and caused her to fall back in to herself she found a strange comfort in the routines her parents planned out for her after her father was killed in the line of firewhile trying to down suspects, those routines became less of a comfort and more of a necessity. knowing that her father had always been a careful man who was aware of his surroundings, and persistent with double checking that could still become a victim of the world's harshness made her want to be more than just careful. she became weary of everything. she took it upon herself to educate herself of each danger in nearly every activity she was interested in taking a part of. she made sure that ever piece of food or drink that she comsumed didn't run any health risk on her physically, internally, or mentally. took the liberaty of ensuring her household to be germ free, and all the things she once questioned about her parents. for those who don't look close enough, she seems like nothing more than a quiet girl with a few odd habits. she's very kind, honest, and patient. the type to listen to you speak while maintaining eye contact, and nodding along in encouraging manner. she's easy to make laugh as she tries to take as much joy in all the small things as she can and wants to focus on living happily, healthy, and acheive her dream of becoming a nurse. during her residency at local hospiptal it was the doctor she fellowed for that noticed her obsessive tendancies. the way she would trail up and down corridors wiping down doors with disinfectants in order of fours, or how she would scrub away at surgery equipment until her hands turn red from the scorching water. concerned he'd ask her to sit with a specialist, and she lied and said she had. fear that something had infected her mind the way diseases could affect the body. though she doesn't know it because she won't see a professional, she does suffer from O.C.D that was triggered by the death of her father. she tries to repress the tendancies as best she can ever since her boss had asked her to see a professional and will go to great lengths to avoid seeing one.

CONNECTIONS:

enchanted: jimin had never been one for parties. the crowds, the loud music, the high risk of infection..--- it wasn't for her. this muse could see how uncomfortable she was amongst bodies. how forced her smiles were, and how her grip tended to tighten on the drink she was holding. they saved her from the displeasure she felt, and kept her company all night. keeping her mind off of the dangers, and focused more on the way they laughed and how the night seemed to be sparkling. their presence seemed to last even after they parted. 2 Am, and she was questioning who it was they loved. crush erupted from there, sadly she hadn't caught a glimpse of them since

one thing missing: jimin and this muse were suppose to be inseprable. while she faced harsh criticisms, and bullying for her seemingly odd habits; this muse stood by here. they became the best of friends, never going anywhere without the other. sharing their biggest dreams, and darkest dreams. but freshman year of high school things began to shift. this muse no longer ignored the strange glances they'd get from their peers, and could no longer shrug off the taunting by classmates. but jimin didn't think they'd walk away from years of friendship. but at her father's funeral she noticed someone who'd been missing. despite the many calls, and texts, this muse never showed. and that was the moment she knew she would feel the loss of more than one person that day

sweetener: this muse can take any bad situation and make it better. they are patient and understanding with all of jimin's tendancies, and habits. they wait patiently, and never judge or comment. jimin feels the most comfortable with them, and shows them sides to her that she thought had died with her father. they're one of the most important people in her life, and if it were possible, she'd moved mountains for them.

million words: the only thing that scared jimin more than death, was relationships. being so intimate with someone to only have them walk away kept her awake at night. but this muse slowly helped her get over that fear. she was crazy about them. so enamored that she was constantly afraid that she was say the wrong things. so she opted for not saying much. no depth to her responses, and she was careful to never too much of what she was thinking. the lack of emotion, or vulnerability caused this muse to turn away, believing that she wasn't as invested in the relationship as they had been. when they ended it there were a million words on the tip of her tongue that she wanted to say but couldn't. and she still wished to this day that she could.

head over shoes: these two hint it off the moment they met. growing closer with every day, and spending almost every minute with each other. but somewhere done the line this muse began developing feelings that went beyond friendly liking. but every mention of a relationship was laughed off by jimin. her naive mind believing their conversations on a life spent together were just pretend. a way they would joke to make each other feel loved. for now, their playful conversations are all the other has to look forward to.

BACKGROUND:

being the family disappoinment isn’t easy, but someone’s gotta take one for the team and do it, right? that’s basically jinwoo’s second job, simply because he happens to be the so-called good-for-nothing middle child and the only artist in his family.

maybe it’s his fault, too, at least to a certain extent. maybe he shouldn’t have dropped out of college after one semester, but there’s more to life than a degree, or so he tells himself.

after years of constantly pitting him against his older brother, jinyoung, his parents have sort of given up on him — in their eyes, jinwoo’s a lost cause.

that’s why people always assume he’s jealous of jinyoung, even though that’s hardly true. sure, he might have a stable job and a pretty fiancée, but jinwoo would rather be seen as a failure for the rest of his life than be his parents’ puppet.

needless to say, they’ll probably never get along like most siblings do, but he can live with that. it might sound harsh, but it’s not like he really needs his brother’s validation in order to be happy.

- since the tender age of seven, yeeun dreamed about becoming an actress. of course most people thought that she’d change her opinion and grow out of it but even then she didn’t change her mind

-yeeun had always been a very soft around the edges, more than other people perhaps. while she could be social she actually enjoyed being alone so she could draw and just appreciate everything beautiful. ( yes she was that kid that would come up to random people and tell them how pretty they are). but she also grew up quite spoiled. there was rarely anything her parents wouldn’t give to her and somehow that also added to the little world she created for herself, where everything was just perfect. 

- of course everything about it would be okay but the truth is that her family actually consists of criminals, they have this whole shady business that just isn’t ... legal (lol). and having their daughter wanting to be an actress perhaps isn’t that good if you actually want to do things in secret.

-truth to be told, as she grew older she knew about her family doings and yet she decided to ignore that. she just kept pretending that she was a normal child despite of her knowledge. she knew that she couldn’t do anything about it and letting go off her comfortable was also difficult for her so for a while she just said nothing.

- as she grew older and slowly started to realize her dream she also became more distant to her family. she still loved them because they were her family but she just couldn’t live on with the guilt and suddenly her family became an obstacle for her dream instead the people who supported her.

- one day she just snapped (idk like one year ago ?? ), everything became too much for her and she chose to leave her family behind and cut off any contact with them. the decision was of course difficult for her and she still sometimes wonder if it was right but she can’t return either...

- shortly after that she also got a role after years of failing auditions and only playing roles with one minute screen time. she got the role of our typical second lead b*tch and not only that the drama was really popular. so for a while everything was fine and people even recognized her. she was slowly getting more popular and things couldn’t get better.

-but because i’m dramatic and want to make her life difficult one day she noticed someone following her. at first she just thought she was being paranoid but she wasn’t. she was receiving weird messages and all that and there was really someone who was following her.

-these messages didn’t stop and she also didn’t go to the police because she didn’t want to stir up some gossip and was afraid that the police would also dig into her family’s business.

- so yeeun being yeeun and hating any kind of confrontation, in her panic she just decided to leave the country for a year hoping that it’d stop.

- so after a year she returned and she’s now here still trying to get her career going. and while she gained some popularity it would’ve been easier for her if she didn’t leave but yeah. also she is still kind of paranoid not only of her family background being exposed but also she still doesn’t know who the person was who was leaving her these messages and all that.

personality

- as mentioned before, yeeun is really soft. not only in terms of being soft-hearted but she’s that person who’ll cry at kdramas when just some sad ost is playing in the background. she’s also really affectionate and despite being an actress an open book. it’s not difficult to read her feelings but she also isn’t afraid of showing them. she likes to show people that she appreciates them and she’ll probably tell them that she loves them all the time. she means everything she says but the problem is that she also thinks others do so. she’s really gullible and trusts people way too easily, that’s why she gets attached so quickly  ( she’s that person who says “what we aren’t friends? but we talked once). she’ll give everyone 1000x chances even when they don’t deserve them but if you’ve fucked up really bad she’ll cut you out her life and continue being passive-agressive because just the way she is.

-also please don’t let her decide things, she can’t even decide on what to wear because she’s so indecisive, she will be like “whatever you prefer” because a) she doesn’t want to come off as selfish and b) she hates deciding for others. she’s basically a pushover ( and i hate her for it). sometimes (or everytime) she likes to force her ideals on people, she has the tendency to over-romanticize things and ignore everything that might not fit into her image BUT she can’t ignore anyone criticizing her. she’ll take it to heart and cry about it a week (tbh) because in reality she is a little insecure, she always questions her actions or her talent in acting and if someone says anything about it or just gives some useful criticism she’ll be lowkey offended and just overthink everything. 

- also she loves the art, the ocean, drawing and just pretty things in general. she loves staring at everything that is beautiful whether it’s a thing or a person. she’ll probably come up to random people and ask them if she can draw them.

naeun and dating? it’s not all too exciting unless you count the time she had a “pretend” wedding with mr. teddy bear in the third grade. the only time she truly fell in love was her ex-husband, maybe it had to do with the fact that they were close friends to begin with or he was the One. it’s been hard for naeun to move on or even to go on a simple date to the movies or cafe. often times she uses her career as an excuse to not date (which tbh is true) and honestly? she’s happy. getting personal and romantic with someone means the world to naeun, remaining faithful & honest on both ends is the key to winning her heart. and of course, knowing how to make her laugh.

spending most of her time editing videos in her room, naeun had became friends with other beauty gurus, youtubers, and any other social media influencers because she knows that they know what it’s like to create content and keeping up with their “online image”. naeun’s often embarrassed to explain her career since most think it’s a waste of time and pestering her with questions about how she makes income from it. rarely she’d ever hold a grudge against someone but if you ever hurt or betray her badly, don’t be surprised.

so my baby lived in itaewon his entire life with his family, two VERY loving parents who make their living as florists, they own a flower shop in the centre of town, and his sibling(s) (plots ????)

taeil works in the flower shop and he loves everything flowers and pretty and calming things

this is mostly bc he’s had severe adhd since he was a kid

his parents are very attentive and supportive, probably a little too much, as they basically wrapped him in bubble wrap since he was a kid, making him drop out of school and learn at home instead

because of this he had a very sheltered childhood and became very shy and cautious around people

they still are very protective of him, but they know he’s an adult know and needs to learn to fend for himself

the illness it still affect’s a lot of aspects of taeil’s life

he struggles a lot with his forgetfulness and with paying attention so he tries very hard to write everything down and organise. he loves lists, colour-coding and general organisation

he also LOVES to draw, especially flowers and people, but drawing is so good cos it keeps his hands busy when they need constant movement

which is also why he gyms a lot

taeil sometimes struggles with anger do to their impulsiveness but any time they act out they instantly regret it. this usually only happens when he’s really frustrated or off his meds

taeil’s medication and therapy help a lot with his behaviours but he does sometimes forget to take them

he does not want his disability to define him !!!

overall they are the sweetest person on the planet

he’s kinda a dummy and doesn’t really get jokes or anything lmao

sometimes he may isolate himself out of habit, but once he has found a friend in you there’s no going back

he’s amazingly loyal and kind and would literally die for any of his friends

so my boy was a foster baby

mom was an alcoholic who put him in a foster home when he was seven, a memory still very clear in his mind

he was a difficult kid, always getting into fights and developing extreme kleptomania, meaning he began stealing things, sometimes from stores or from the other kids in the home

that was the main reason for him bouncing between foster homes, cos he kept stealing things from the families and being a brat

so he never usually staying in one place for long and didn’t really have any friends, the day he turned 18 was great because it meant he graduated and could live alone without a guardian, which he did

his habits didn’t get any better, in fact he created his whole career out of them

mj earns his money by scamming, conning and stealing from people

a lot of the time it’s just small scams and stealing things from people he sleeps with, but he also loves a good big planned heist

over the years, he’s become VERY good at getting away with things, knowing how to hack, get rid of evidence etc

mj’s asshole attitude still remains, he’s very into the whole ‘no feelings, no friends’ thing, it’s not unusual for him to be rude af

but he’s also very cocky and flirty and promiscuous

his attitude towards alcohol and drugs is bordering on addictive, god bless his roommate and friends for finding him in some worrying states

but he swears he doesn’t have a problem

his fave things to steal are coats, he loves a good expensive coat
