“Here,” says a girl you recognise from your year. Jang Wonyoung holds up a carefully wrapped letter with cute drawings on the outside. It also smells very sweet and fruity, like lemon and peaches.

“To whom?” you ask automatically, grabbing the letter without studying it further. To you, it’s just another one on top of many, many more. 

“Park Sunghoon,” she replies, a giggle leaving her lips at the mere mention of the boy. You fight the urge to roll your eyes. It’s not that you don’t understand— okay, you don’t understand, actually. Sunghoon never shows any interest in any girls whatsoever, and yet they keep trying to approach him or give him love letters through you, and honestly, you’re tired.

“Fine. But I can’t guarantee he will read it nor respond to it nor that he won’t simply throw it away,” you say in a monotone because it’s an automatic response that leaves your lips every time you receive a letter. You might as well be considered a customer service worker — an office worker, really — with the way you deal with them. 

“I know. But thanks anyway.” Wonyoung smiles at you because realistically, she’s nice. From what you’ve heard about her, she’s great. So you’re a bit put off by the fact she’d show any interest in Park Sunghoon, of all people.

Sighing, you put the letter in a paper bag that has a sticker of a penguin on skates on it and Park Sunghoon’s name written right underneath. The bag has been with you for years by now. You made it back in fourth grade, probably, so it’s a miracle it still holds on. Especially because it’s already overflowing with letters from this morning.

Next to it, you glance at the other three bags. One with a sticker of a golden retriever and Sim Jaeyun in glittery letters, one with a black cat holding a knife and Park Jongseong written in cursive on it, and the last being a basketball sticker with the name LEE HEESEUNG in capital letters. 

This is what you get for befriending your neighbours, you guess. But seven-year-old you wanted to have older brothers, and seven-year-old you did not know that once you grow up, something like love and crushes would exist in your world. Until you did grow up, and you learned the hard way what it meant to be the so-called little sister of four decently looking boys. 

None of which have ever shown interest in anyone, ever, as far as you can tell. Or they simply haven’t told you anything about their love lives which, honestly, you prefer. It’s enough that you have to relay love letters to them, having to hear about them actually dating someone would be far worse. But somehow you doubt they’ve dated anyone — unless they’re much better at keeping secrets than you thought. Because the whole school would be taken by storm had anyone found out. Even if it was just the old janitor who found either one of them hiding in the broom closet with a girl, the whole school would know by the next day if not within the next hour. 

To put it simply, they’re popular.

Park Sunghoon, the figure skater whose entire life has been spent mainly on ice. People at school call him the ice prince for the obvious reasons, and the less obvious ones, where he just regards everyone as if they’re beneath him unless they’re his friends or, well… you.

Sim Jaeyun or Jake, the football prodigy and team captain who moved here from Australia and therefore has an Australian accent and is bilingual which, for some reason, girls love. He’s also the nicest person anyone could ever meet, so that might also be a factor. A golden retriever in human form, people say. The only reason you like him is because he’s been bribing you with snacks since middle school, though (said jokingly… maybe). 

Park Jongseong or Jay who, on the other hand, moved here from the United States and is known for his love of music and bands and guitars and the fact he can play the instrument. He’s in a band with some other guys from school, but you’re not all that familiar with them since Jay mostly keeps them away from you, for whatever stupid reason he’s made up about protecting you and whatnot.

And lastly, the oldest of the four, Lee Heeseung who is the basketball team captain and a huge nerd which girls also love? You’re half-convinced that if he were partially blind and had to wear glasses, the whole school would fall apart with the amount of people trying to catch a single glance of him. (Yes, he wears fake glasses sometimes, so maybe you’re speaking from experience.) He’s the guy you’d go to if you need help with school but he literally does not have any time in between his so-called game time, which is punished by death if interrupted, studying, and basketball practice. The only way to receive help with studying from Lee Heeseung is to either (1) study exactly what he is studying or (2) be you. 

Someone shoves another letter right in front of your face.

“Who?” you ask without looking up. But the letter is waved in front of your face with such violence that you roll your eyes, sigh, and look up. You’re met with the sight of one of your best friends, Kim Sunoo, whose cheeks must be hurting from how big his grin is.

“It’s not for them,” he says giddily, dropping the letter on your desk.

You study it for a second, noticing one glaringly obvious thing.

To: Y/N.

It’s addressed to you.

“Who gave this to you?” Your eyes widen as you turn to Sunoo with question marks in your eyes. But the boy shrugs, clueless.

“I have no idea. It wasn’t exactly given to me, you know. There was someone who just bumped into me without saying sorry or turning around, and they dropped this. So, obviously, I had to check what they dropped and well… it turned out to be a letter addressed to you,” Sunoo recalls the story, dramatically motioning with his hands to emphasise the whole scene.

You grin, staring at the letter.

“For me?” you ask yourself, your eyes fixated on the name written in neat handwriting.

“Open it,” Sunoo encourages you.

“Open what?” A new voice joins the conversation, and your smile grows even brighter at the sight of Yang Jungwon, your other friend, and class president.

“Look!” you say, grabbing the letter to wave it in front of his face. “I got a letter. Can you believe it? Me. Not the guys, but me.”

“Are you sure it’s real?” Jungwon asks sceptically, his eyes narrowed. “What if someone’s making fun of you?”

“Why are you so pessimistic?” Sunoo frowns, looking at Jungwon. “I think someone likes Y/N. It was about time, too. Her life needs to stop revolving about those four.” It’s not that Sunoo has anything against Heeseung, Jay, Jake or Sunghoon personally, but he’s not fond of how much time you spend doing things that are seemingly just for them. Like constantly dealing with their love letters. It seems that your entire existence at school is as the girl that talks to them.

“I’m not disagreeing, but still. It’s a bit weird that the letter came out of nowhere.” Jungwon shrugs, ending his point there. He connects his lips together in a thin line, and you know that he won’t argue any further.

“Should we maybe open it with Yuna and Haewon, too?” you ask, your eyes never leaving the letter. “We need more opinions.”

“At lunch?”

“At lunch.”

“Fine. But I’d still be careful.” Jungwon sighs, shaking his head. “If the person can’t give the letter directly to you, they’re not really worth it.” It’s funny how Jungwon just managed to indirectly attack every single girl that has ever made you relay a love letter without thinking much about it.

“You sound like Jay,” you point out anyway, making a face. Sunoo hums in agreement. 

“That’s not a bad thing.” Jungwon nudges your shoulder with a soft laugh.

who's in the vacancy supergroup line up the people must know

Ok so this ask has put me into a group building spiral. I have chosen my roster and drafted a logo and I'm building the debut concept

PVE (Pink Vacancy Entertainment) presents:

I want to add a music note icon and sword icon with similar styling to the text so the icons combined can also be like a little mini logo.

The visual concept is y2k armored gals with colored transparent 2000's technology weapons and armor. Like the transparent mac book type look except cool armor outfits. Pretty ladies with sword.

I'd also want to do a winter sports videogame concept like 1080 avalanche or SSX Tricky as the concept B for the album.

Soundwise, I'd want to replicate the fast pace beats of those video game soundtracks with some Jungle Beat/Hip-Hop and Pink Pantheress type songs. I'd also want some early '00s sounds like Britney and NSYNC lol.

Here is our 10 gal roster. I stole six of JYP's girls (basically my 2 bias lines lol) and I broke it down into 3 medieval military themed sub units:

Park Jihyo - The hardest part about making the group was choosing a leader and I realized I'd be so nervous if anybody but Jihyo was the leader. Also I want to hear her on a Britney Spears type track!

Myoui Mina - Wow! A huge surprise right? But honestly Mina brings everything to a group. Vocals, dancing, elegance, humor, Minecraft. So choosing her is a real no brainer even besides the fact that she is the love of my life. She's the face of the group for sure! I didn't make her leader cause she needs her gaming laptop time.

Minatozaki Sana - Sana is another obvious choice to me, bias aside. She has such mass appeal and talent for entertainment that she would create so much success for the group just by existing. And girl groups gotta have someone who will just full on smooch the other members.

Hwang Yeji - The second in command. I imagine her as being in charge of the younger half of the group. JYP holds this gal back possibly most of all. Here at PVE, we are giving her all those louis vuitton deals and what not, cause that will translate to bigger success for her and the group (JYP is certified big dumb). Plus she is an S tier performer, leader and visual.

Shin Yuna - Yuna is obviously another of my all-time favorite gals but hear me out. After seeing her live I know now she is an all around ace. She can sing, dance, and you can tell when she is on stage she is loving life! Also her rap from 'Twenty' is one of the few K-Pop raps that i actually enjoy and doesn't make me wanna kms lol.

Lee Chaeryeong - Chaeryeong is honestly such a talented singer and dancer. She’s super sweet and charismatic interacting with the crowd! And she is so funny just by being herself in the ITZY reality content. One of my all time fave idols and a must have for the group.

Miyawaki Sakura - Sakura would be the leader of the third unit. She's an incredible multi talented idol and her vibes are immaculate. She's super funny and beautiful and sweet. Plus she and Mina could be gamer friends together. I feel like she would really kill they2k aesthetic with like some cat ear headphones like she likes.

Jeong JinSoul - Jinsoul's voice has always been really soothing to me. Like it always sits very nicely within the melody of the song. I want that kind of sound for choruses on softer and popier songs. And she is a visual queen so she is a lock for the group.

Cho Miyeon - I wanted a group with two ultra feminine gals in it. Plus her and Sana are already friends so it works out very nicely. She has an amazing voice and is one of the prettiest idols out there!

Lee Saerom - I am honestly just starting to get into Fromis 9. But I have watched enough performances to understand the Saerom has incredible stage presence and has an awesome physique! Her muscles and her charisma will add to the groups flavor for sure ^^.

Maybe i'll do some concept art later to illustrate some ideas. If you read this far you are allowed to be a hater on the group. It will help me prepare for the debut.

Comments: I need the Giver injected into my veins. Discovering f5ve has been one of the greatest things to happen in my life, I don’t typically rank prereleases but I loved this too much not too. I really hope Hobi is planning a comeback considering all the amazing singles he’s releasing. BOW WOW reminds me so much of Cat and Dog by TxT only because they are in that same plain of about animals sort of and me not being sure how I feel about it. Radio’s chorus reminds me of something and I can’t figure out what. If you really like he sound of RM’s Right Place, Wrong Person then I think you’ll like GBAD by Jackson Wang as the chorus feels straight out of that album sound wise.

Laughing, I briefly glanced at the camera and playfully winked before typing a message. Unfortunately, I wasn't sure exactly who I was chatting with. "How much can I drink?" I asked when I received a message. Chuckling again, I took a sip from my drink and replied, "Enough to bring you home."

Me (8:06): Do you have any siblings?

Unknown (8:06): I have an Unnie.

Unknown (8:06): Oops. You weren't supposed to know I'm a woman...😭🫣🤫

Me (8:07): Don't worry, baby. Honestly, that just makes it better for me😜😋🤭

Unknown (8:07): Stop it. I'm really blushing because of you. Let me try to figure out who you are😳😳

Me (8:07): Are you sure you're ready for that? I mean, I could also invite you for a date in person🥰😜🤭

I looked up at the camera and started to laugh. I ran my tongue over my lips once, saying, "She's trying to figure out who I am," chuckling lightly into the camera. I was sitting cross-legged in a comfortable chair, holding my phone in both hands as I laughed.

Unknown (8:09): I figured as much. Let me guess your age now. Early 20s?

Surprised, I looked into the camera briefly. "She seems really good at guessing. I'm getting more curious," I said as I leaned back further in the chair. "I really wonder what she's saying about me right now," I added, smiling into the camera. The cameraman just shrugged.

My gaze returned to the phone, a smile on my face. There was something exciting about flirting with someone whose identity was unknown.

Me (8:09): Very good. I'll guess for you now and say you're just a bit older?

Unknown (8:10): I'm 23😌

Me (8:10): The perfect age to go on a date with me, Unnie🥰🤭🤭

I chuckled softly. My curiosity was growing steadily.

Me (8:11): Let me ask you an important question. I'm pretty confident that I'll figure out who you are after this question!

Unknown (8:11): Quite self-assured of you. But I'm curious☺️😏

Me (8:12): Do glasses suit you?

Unknown (8:12): 😂😂😂

Unknown (8:12): Someone once told me that glasses suit me, but they would cover my eyes, so I shouldn't wear them🥸🤓😌

My mouth opened slightly. I stared at my phone for what felt like an eternity. Even the cameraman seemed a bit puzzled by my reaction. I cleared my throat and quickly remembered the camera in front of me.

Me (8:14): I know who you are

Unknown (8:14): I doubt that😉😏

Me (8:14): You're tall, have beautiful cat-like eyes, and your expressionless face can be intimidating at times. But you have a very kind heart, and... your fingers, or your hands in general, are larger than mine

Me (8:14): I know exactly who you are

Unknown (8:14): Those are all very accurate guesses. I think I also know who you are��🤔🥴

Me (8:15): Are you sure?

Unknown (8:15): With just one question, I'll be sure.

Me (8:15): Go ahead, ask away.

Unknown (8:16): Are you a Mamamoo fan?

Me (8:16): ..... okay. You got it🫡🫡🫡

I looked up at the camera and started to grin. "It's Hwang Yeji from Itzy," I said, and almost immediately, it was revealed who was on the other end of the line. I was absolutely right. It really was Yeji.

After exchanging a few words about how I figured it out and how I felt about it, the camera was turned off. Yeji and I suddenly met outside the room. Her eyes widened just like mine. Nervously, I started to smile a little, and my gaze lowered.

"Y/n," the older one said. It had been days since I had been avoiding her, but those few days had only made me miss her more. It was really difficult to stop myself from texting her...

"Can we talk?" the redhead asked, her face serious. Surprised, I looked at her with wide eyes. "I... I don't know," I replied softly, briefly glancing to the side. Yeji took a deep breath. "It won't take long. Please... don't avoid me, Y/n," she requested softly. I licked my lips slowly, registering the tone in her voice.

Her voice was slightly higher than usual, sounding somewhat sad.

I swallowed as I looked into her eyes. Slowly, I nodded my head. "Okay... Yes, let's talk," I answered now. Unlike before, the taller one didn't smile. She just nodded and immediately started walking down the hallway. I followed her.

Nervously, I rubbed my fingers together several times. "Here," Yeji said softly as she pushed my drink, which she had ordered earlier, in front of me. I bowed slightly and briefly said, "Thank you," causing Yeji to furrow her brow slightly. She sat down right in front of me, her lips pressed together.

"What's going on, Y/n?" she asked as she scrutinized me. My hands gripped my drink. I took a small sip from my straw, nervously biting on it. "Y/n..." Yeji sighed when I didn't seem to answer. I swallowed as I looked at Yeji.

"It's nothing," I replied, causing Yeji to lean forward a bit more. Her arms rested on the table. "Are we... still friends?" she asked, widening my eyes. I looked at her with my mouth open. "Of course," I replied, making Yeji smile slightly. She nodded her head.

She chuckled a little as she let out a sigh of relief. She licked her lips and took a sip from her drink. "Then why... are you avoiding me?" she asked, her voice now quieter. Her eyes narrowed sadly as she looked at me. I swallowed again as I started to laugh nervously.

"I'm... trying to figure out my own feelings right now," I replied. Yeji looked at me for a long time. "Figuring out your feelings?" she asked, to which I nodded. Yeji's eyes widened as she noticed my slightly reddened cheeks. Her mouth opened slightly, and she started, "Do you mean...?" but didn't continue.

Nervously, I looked to the side. "I... need to confront my feelings first before I can continue to be friends with you," I replied, causing the redhead to start smiling. She looked at me, never breaking eye contact. Her hands were now folded.

"What if I don't just want to be friends with you?" the older one asked, causing my eyes to widen. I hesitated and stared at her with wide eyes. "What?" I asked. Could I have misheard that? Could this all be a dream?

Yeji suddenly smiled and burst into laughter, trying to stifle it by covering her mouth with her hand. She cleared her throat shortly after, noticing my hopeful look. My fingers were intertwined, and I just looked at the older woman. "If you need help with that, let me know. But from now on, don't avoid me, okay?" the redhead said with a grin.

My face turned red as I saw her smile. I could feel my heart rate dramatically increasing. To calm myself down, I took several sips of my milkshake. Yeji observed me, a knowing grin on her lips. "What are you up to today? I really hope you're free," she asked, but I shook my head.

"I put on some weight and have to go to the gym," I replied with a pout. Yeji laughed, and her eyebrows raised. She nodded her head. "Good. Let's train together," the older one demanded, but my mouth opened now. "Uh...," I started, and I blushed completely. "I don't want you to think I'm lazy," I said, laughing a bit.

Yeji suddenly burst into laughter. Her entire face lit up as she looked at me. "I won't think you're lazy," she replied, looking amused. I giggled as I started nodding slowly. "Okay, then we'll train together," I replied, nodding my head.

Yeji smiled. "Besides, you haven't gained any weight," Yeji said as she examined my entire face. Then her fingers pinched my cheek. "It just makes you even cuter," the older one added, starting to grin broadly. My cheeks heated up even more.

"If you keep treating me like this, I might have to start calling you Unnie soon," I said, causing Yeji to stop pinching my cheek immediately. She looked at my whole face. "But I don't want you to be my Unnie," I said softly, which made Yeji smile even more. She looked at me. "I don't just want to be your Unnie either," she said just as softly. Smiling, I picked up my drink and took a sip from it.

"I don't want to anymore!" I groaned as I stared at my phone. Yeji beside me started to laugh. "Come on, just 30 more seconds," the older one encouraged me as she watched me struggle to hold the plank position. After those 30 seconds, I immediately collapsed onto the mat.

Yeji smirked and brushed the stray strands of hair from my face. "You did great. Now, it's time for some biceps, hm?" the older one said, pointing to the machine. My mouth opened as I sighed in annoyance. "Why? I already have a strong bicep," I said with a playful grin, flexing my bicep.

Yeji laughed as she touched my bicep. She looked into my eyes. "You... must be really weak, huh?" she said, causing my eyes to widen. Offended, I looked up at her, my eyes narrowing visibly. "I'm not weak. I could even carry you," I replied.

"Could you carry me and then do a few squats?" she asked, to which I immediately nodded. "Of course!" I replied, grinning as I crouched down so Yeji could easily get on my back.

"Afterwards, I want to hear you admit that you were wrong!" I said seriously as I felt her arm wrap around my neck. My hands were now on her legs as I carried her and stood up. "Wow... You're really light," I commented, but then my forehead furrowed. "Why are you so light?" I asked, looking genuinely concerned.

Yeji laughed. Her hands were on my shoulders. "You're saying that now. Let's do some squats," the older one said as she wiggled her legs a bit. I took a deep breath and started squatting. My hands gripped her legs as I pushed myself up repeatedly.

"Okay... It's getting harder," I said, laughing lightly. Yeji just grinned and rested her chin on my head, her arms wrapped tightly around me, causing my heart rate to increase. Nervously, I bit my lip. "Why don't you tell me about your upcoming comeback?" Yeji asked, seemingly trying to distract me.

"Well... We have a whole album planned with about 10 songs... Hanni and Yunjin contributed to the lyrics," I said as I continued to squat up and down. I took a deep breath. "A tour is also planned. Our first real world tour," I added with a slight smile.

"A world tour? That means... we won't see each other for months," Yeji said, pouting slightly. That made me laugh. "We can call and message each other," I replied, and I let her down from my back. I turned to face her, a grin on my lips.

"Will you really miss me that much?" I asked teasingly, to which the older one immediately nodded. My breath caught, and my heart rate increased. My entire face turned red as I glanced to the side.

"Oh," I shyly muttered, which only made Yeji smile.
