IV is a known medical term however a few percent of the people know that it stands for Intravenous Access. It is used to directly administer fluids into a vein. There are various types of IV based upon the type of vein it is inserted into, such as peripheral veins, central venous veins, PICC to name a few. There are also variations among IV access infusions depending upon the type of fluid to be administered. The most common type is continuous infusion used to balance out fluids and electrolytes. IV is a vast subject to cover and you would want to know all about it just in case. Read this article where we cover a-z of iv access and factors to keep in mind.

Finished 2 more pages from this amazing book. Coloring keeps me sane, especially when I'm admitted in the hospital. I'm home after 5 days of iv antibiotics, but still have one week of antibiotics pills to finish. The infection in my knee finally cleared after those 5 days of iv antibiotics. I'm so grateful for my port days like this where I need multiple days of iv access. Also on the last pic, you can't see it very well, but there are those annoying night lamps.. my roommates wanted to keep them on for the night so my amazing nurse taped it so it didn't bother me (they can't turn off one by one, just all of them or none). Love him for thinking on how to fix it, because I really can't sleep with a bright light shining in my face like that. #chronicillness #invisibleillness #intracranialhypertension #ineedacure #kneeinfection #ivantibiotics #hospitallife #headachefromhell #coloringbynumbers #colorbynumbers #coloringkeepsmesane #spoonielife #spoonieproblems #antibioticsfordays #sickandtiredofbeingsickandtired #butyoudontlooksick #joannawebster #portacath #powerport #ivaccess #infection #totiredtofunction #ziekenhuisleven #onzichtbaarziek #kleurenopnummer #shuntlife (bij Isala Ziekenhuis Zwolle)

Customer Testimonial: "I am so grateful for the Veinlite®. I use it all the time and it has helped so much. Having the Veinlite® allowed me to get a stick on a trauma patient who we were not able to get a tourniquet on due to road rash and he had a dark complexion. Everyone was amazed except myself, as I knew what I can do with the Veinlite®." -Shane C.

Clinical studies demonstrate that only Veinlite® vein access tools improve IV access success rates in children and adults. Other vein finders may help you see veins, but they don't improve venipuncture success rates.

Customer Testimonial: "Patients will now request the Veinlite® be used, or recognize me as the person that "got my IV last time with that light. Those people with thin, rolling, tortuous veins; those that have only one arm for access due to mastectomy or AV fistula, infants with chubby little hands, arms, and feet have all benefited from this tool." - Marilyn F.
