Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You never expected to step foot in Forks.
You’d heard about it, of course. Every vampire had. A strange pocket of the Pacific Northwest crawling with wolves, the Cullen coven settled like royalty in their glass castle in the woods. A treaty held together by mutual tolerance and necessity. You didn’t care for politics, or power.
You were just passing through.
A red-eyed nomad. A rogue.
You never stayed in one place long. You fed clean when you could — criminals, drifters, the kind of people no one looked for. Still, you were a predator. Always watching. Always watched.
You didn’t mean to get caught in their territory.
But fate doesn’t wait for permission.
You didn’t even notice him at first — the towering boy with warm brown skin and too-bright eyes, panting as if he'd just finished phasing. The second you stepped out of the trees, though, he stopped.
And stared.
It wasn’t fear in his eyes.
It was something else.
You tilted your head, fangs retracted but guarded. “You gonna growl at me or just stand there?”
“I…” he blinked, jaw going slack. “No. I… I don’t know what’s happening.”
The silence between you charged with something ancient. Something irreversible.
Jacob Black — the boy who hated vampires with a fire so hot it burned off his skin — had just imprinted on one.
You.
The red-eyed rogue.
He didn’t fight it.
Not for long, anyway.
The days that followed blurred into long walks in the woods, tense conversations, the occasional snapped tree trunk when he lost his temper. You told him your story — not all of it, but enough. He saw something in you no one else ever had. Maybe it was the way you didn’t try to explain your thirst away, or the fact that you didn’t want redemption. You just wanted… peace.
“I thought I’d hate you,” he admitted one night, sitting across from you on a fallen log. “But when I look at you… it’s like everything makes sense.”
You didn’t smile.
You wanted to.
But you’d lived long enough to know nothing this good lasted.
You were right.
When Bella found out, it all came crashing down.
She stormed into the woods, eyes wild, voice shaking. “Jacob, you imprinted on a vampire?! A blood-drinking, red-eyed—”
“Don’t,” Jacob growled. His body trembled, the shift hovering just beneath his skin. “Don’t say it like that.”
“He could kill someone. You! You used to hate them! You hated the Cullens and they don’t even feed on humans!”
You stood behind him, silent but composed, crimson eyes unreadable.
“I did hate them,” Jacob snapped, “because I didn’t understand. I hated you, too, Bella. For how you played with my feelings. For stringing me along while you picked a leech.”
Bella paled.
“This is different,” he continued. “He’s mine. I don’t care what he is.”
Bella left in tears.
The pack didn’t react how you expected.
At first, there was tension — growls, posturing, mistrust. Paul nearly attacked you once, until Jacob put him on his back with one punch. Sam called a meeting. The others watched. Quiet. Waiting.
And then something strange happened.
They accepted you.
Not fully — not yet. But they saw the imprint. They felt it through Jacob’s thoughts. They watched the way he stood in front of you, ready to tear through anyone who even looked at you wrong. And slowly… they began to trust.
“He’s calm around you,” Emily said one afternoon, watching Jacob lean against your side by the fire. “That’s new.”
Even Leah, fierce and bitter, didn’t say a word. She just nodded once in your direction and walked away.
Edward didn’t trust you. But he respected the bond.
Carlisle welcomed you into their circle, even offered you blood bags if you needed them. “You’re not the first to try to walk a different path,” he said. “But you may be the first with someone fighting beside you.”
And Jacob?
Jacob made it clear to everyone — vampire, wolf, human — that he wasn’t going anywhere.
“I don’t care what anyone thinks,” he said one night, his hand brushing yours, fire and ice colliding with skin. “You’re mine. And I’m yours. That’s all that matters.”
You’d never belonged anywhere. Not in centuries.
But now, wrapped in the scent of pine and fur, surrounded by a pack that tolerated you and a boy who burned brighter than any sun, you started to believe you could.
Bella still watched from a distance. Heartbroken. Bitter. Maybe even jealous.
But Jacob never looked back.
He never needed to.
He had you.
And for the first time in his life, that was enough.

Total Eclipse Of The Heart (Part 14)
Summary: Jacob Black, alpha of his pack, would never fall in love with a bloodsucker, much less imprint on one. The problem is that Y/N Swan was human…until she wasn’t anymore.

When Y/N was younger, she imagined a great many things. She imagined marrying Jacob in a white poofy gown and chowing down on a big cake, while their friends and family cheered.
She imagined how sweet it would be when they finally decided to have a child. A perfect mix of her and the most wonderful person she’s ever known. Long dark hair, chocolate brown eyes and blinding smiles.
She imagined it would take hours or days to bring their child into the world, but she always knew it would be worth it. For this moment.
Carlisle places the tiny russet colored wolf on her chest, covered in blood, which can only be Jacob’s and a silver liquid she assumes to be her venom.
Jacob rubs at the little wolf’s back while they whimper, shivering in Y/N’s arms.
“Shhh, you’re ok.” Y/N whispers, as Carlisle carefully replaces the pieces of her he’d chipped away to deliver their child. She glances up at Jacob, “they’re ok, right?”
Jacob passes a hand over her hair. “Babies cry, honey.”
Y/N nods, wrapping the knitted blanket tighter around their child.
“How are you holding up?” Carlisle asks, still tending to her…wounds.
“I think I’m ok.”
“You’ve done remarkably.”
“Thank you,” Y/N stares up at the ceiling.
“All set.” Carlisle pats Y/N’s knee. “You can sit up.”
Jacob takes the baby, rocking gently as the wolf shifts into a perfect baby boy.
Y/N stands, pushing her dress down to cover herself.
“I’m going to share the good news.” Carlisle excuses himself.
Y/N feels different, though her physical body has not changed.
“Shh,” Jacob hushes their son as he begins to fuss. “There’s mommy.”
The baby is silent then, his wide, dark eyes settle on his mother.
Jacob attempts to hand him over.
“No,” Y/N stops him. “I don’t want to make him phase.”
Jacob’s face falls, “he’s our son.”
“I know,” that’s why she has to protect him, even from herself.
“You’re not gonna hold him?”
“I want to.” Every cell in her body is screaming for him.
“This is going to take some getting used to for all of us. He might phase, but he’ll learn to control it. Just like I did.” Jacob murmurs.
A little fist reaches out from the blanket and the baby begins to cry.
“He wants you.” Jacob hears the thought so loudly in his head.
“Really?” Y/N leans in.
Jacob nods, easing the infant into her arms.
Y/N stares down at her baby, still human and watching her with unblinking eyes. Like he knows her. “He looks like you,” Y/N strokes the baby’s hair. “Both ways.”
Jacob laughs. “Yeah.”
“Sorry I freaked out; but I hate to think I’m the reason he’s afraid or uncomfortable. I’m supposed to be the one who makes him feel safe. I know it’s not personal and it’s not anyone’s fault…I just feel bad.”
Jacob puts his arms around them, around his entire world. “The fact you’re beating yourself up about it proves that you’re actually insufferable.”
“We knew that.” Y/N scoffs, kissing the little hand wrapped around her index finger.
“But it also means you’re a great mom.” Jacob grins, “and I love you.”
“I love you too.” She rests her head against his shoulder.
“So how are you feeling?” Jacob asks, “are we one and done? Or are we having a few more?”
“A few?” Y/N arches a brow, “how many do you want?”
“One more.” Jacob suggests.
“I could do one more.”
The door of Carlisle’s office opens and Renesmee comes bouncing in. “Aunt Y/N! Uncle Jacob!”
“Renesmee, wait.” Bella protests, “hold on a minute.”
“I just want to see the baby,” Renesmee explains.
“Sorry guys,” Bella smiles, “she couldn’t wait.”
“It’s ok, Ness.” Jacob waves her over, “you can say hi.”
“This is your cousin,” Y/N dips the blanket down for the little girl to see. “Rowan.”
Renesmee glances back at Bella. “He’s so little, mommy.”
Bella smiles at her nephew, “he looks just like you, Jake.”
“That’s what she said.”
————————————————————————-
Rowan finds his place in their large, unconventional, family better than anyone expected.
The Cullens love kids, babies, weddings and birthdays. All the human experiences they were robbed of.
The pack welcomes Rowan with open arms, making room for the tiny wolf in their ranks. Showing him love and understanding, most importantly, teaching him to embrace who he is. Turning into a wolf is only weird if you make it weird, after all.
Rowan grows fast, but not as fast as Renesmee who looks to be about six years old at only twelve months.
They are still looking for answers in regards to Renesmee’s rapid aging, but tonight they are at the Cullen’s. Even Billy has joined them, listening to Edward teach Renesmee to play piano.
Rowan pulls himself up, standing beside the couch, leaning on it to stay upright. “Dada.”
Jacob smiles, wide enough to split his face. “Hi,” he takes him into his lap.
“Looks like he’s getting ready to walk there, Jacob.” Charlie says.
“You think?”
“He’s never done it on two legs before.” Y/N passes a hand over Rowan’s baby curls.
“Today might be the day.” Billy grins, “put him down, let’s see if he’ll walk to grandpa.” He extends his arms.
Rowan giggles, opening and closing his chubby fist in Billy’s direction.
“What do you think, buddy?” Jacob whispers to his son, “you wanna walk?”
“Mama,” the little boy says, instead, crawling off Jacob onto her.
Y/N hugs him to her, “I love you, sweet boy.”
“Mama.” He clings to her, bouncing with his little legs.
“Maybe next time, Billy.” Charlie claps his shoulder. “Looks like he’s setting up shop.”
“Boy loves his mama.” Jacob’s father nods, “Jake was the same way with his mom.”
Jacob swallows hard, looking to his wife, who he hasn’t officially married. He’ll never let anything bad happen to her. Never again.
————————————————————————-
Y/N is hovering over at foot of their bed when Jacob wakes. “Good morning.”
“Morning, beautiful.” Jacob shoots her a lopsided grin. “What’s on the agenda for today?”
“Bella wants to take Ren out to play in the snow. I was thinking we’d tag along.”
“That sounds like fun. Do you mind if I dip out early with Rowan? I promised to bring him down to the rez today.”
“Yeah, that’s fine.” Y/N smiles.
“Cool.” Jacob returns the gesture. She makes his heart flutter in his chest, even after all these years.
Y/N comes around to his side of the bed, tracing her finger along the slope of his nose. “There is one thing I’d like to do today.”
“What?” Jacob thinks he knows, but he loves hearing her say it.
“You.”
Jacob laughs, pulling her down onto the mattress. They wrestle around playfully, landing on the floor with her pinned beneath him.
“Shhh,” Y/N hushes him. “My dad’s gonna hear us.”
“I really hate to tell you this,” Jacob drags his thumb across her cheekbone. “But I think he knows.”
“No,” Y/N shakes her head, “he thinks Rowan was like…immaculately conceived or something. I’d like to keep it that way.”
“Whatever helps you not sleep at night, honey.” Jake chuckles.

Every time I see a twilight or tvd long x reader fic I get excited and then the name is like
" the other Swan"
" the forgotten Gilbert"
" the secret Mikaelson"
take your ass back to Wattpad because that shit is LAZY.
No adoption mentioned either, which could create such a nice explanation and allow us POC readers to feel like we're not immediately excluded.
And the lack of racial/ethnic diversity, where is your imagination? You could literally craft an entire plot about how your mc has come to be involved with these characters and that's what you go with?
And the mc doesn't have to somehow be more powerful than every other powerful character like, they can just be strong and powerful enough to hold their own y'know?

Twilight New Age
Tumblr media
After inheriting her grandparents house in the Quileute reservation, La Push, Y/N moves to her home rez. Hoping to start a new life she is soon involved with what she thought were just old legends.
Paul Lahote x Reader
Romance | Fantasy | Drama | Angst
CHAPTER 1
>> CHP 2
Tumblr media
Y/N did not expect her life to turn out the way it has. She led a normal life, as normal one can be, at the age of twenty one. Like most her age she was confused on what she wanted in life. What she knew was she wanted to be an artist. That’s something she always knew.
At the start of the year her grandfather Quil Ateara III passed unexpectedly. It was a huge loss for not only her family but the community of La Push. Y/n’s home reservation, where her grandfather had served on council for many years, a well respected elder.
As If any of it wasn’t enough for y/n the family decided to read his will. Discovering he had left her with the estate and property under her name. Yet it was never brought it up to her in their many visits. Shocking the whole family it caused an uproar.
Her own mother was surprised at this news. Everyone figured he’d leave everything to at least one of his children. Her grandmother Molly was the only one not surprised. Instead she ensured that y/n would move in by the end of the season. And that no one could argue since it was her husbands will.
Even if it was passed onto her mother, or her many uncles and aunts, no one wanted to uproot their lives to live in the house. In fact the family was ready and planning to sell the house. Deciding to split the money between everyone and cut their losses on the property. But her grandparents wouldn’t have any of it happen.
And so it was y/n was on her way to her “new” house. Her grandmother Molly had already moved in to her sisters home. As a way of keeping an eye on each other now that they’re both older.
For y/n it was all so fast but an opportunity would never come like this again. For she had been desperate for a place on her own. A studio apartment wasn’t an ideal space for someone who loved, well, space.
It was a three story house with a wrap around porch. Fit with five bedrooms and one bathroom. As she drove y/n thought of how expensive and difficult it could get to maintain such a house. But she figured she’d at least try before trying to get a roommate.
Although it was all new and quite stressful to think of. Y/n was excited to be back in her beloved home of La Push. She had only visited a few times throughout each year. And as of late she hadn’t been around much with life catching up to her.
Driving down the same old roads she couldn’t help but feel nostalgic. How many summers she spent here and what good memories were made. The scenery was always something y/n favoured especially the tall beautiful pine trees.
Despite the constant downpour of rain it made y/n happy. Even just the smell of rain and dirt made her smile. It was a moment y/n wanted to savour for herself, entering the reservation, it felt like she never left.
The road was wet from soft rain throughout the day. The clouds blocking the sun from shining. Looking at the sides of the road the hairs on her neck suddenly spiked. A weird feeling in her gut began to twist and turn.
As she looked on each sides of the road it felt eerie. Although she drove down familiar roads it didn’t feel right. As if there were eyes peering a hole in the back of her neck. Rubbing the spot in comfort she tried shaking off the unsettling feeling.
After all she was stressed and tired after a long drive she convinced herself. Upon seeing the house she was relieved. Her grandma was supposed to be here before her. But her car wasn’t parked in the driveway.
Parked in the car y/n sat awaiting for either the eerie feeling to go away or for her grandmother to arrive. As she sat and decided, she noticed in the window stacks of boxes, she had sent her stuff beforehand. With the help of her cousins they moved everything inside.
Impatient and no longer anxious she got out of the car. The property has a clear and neat tree line. The backyard was a huge open field filled with wild flowers. Although at the moment it was still too early in the spring for such flowers. The field sat in colours of yellows and browns.
Y/n searched around the area in case of anything. Taking a short moment to look. With nothing around she headed inside. Deciding to unpack until her grandma arrived. She grabbed the rest of her belongings from the trunk.
Sure enough It didn’t take long for her grandma to pull up in the driveway. As y/n headed outside to meet her she felt even more relief. Seeing the soft smile on her grandma’s face brought her comfort.
“My girl! You’re finally home” she said into her neck as they hugged tightly. “Yep! Finally home for good” y/n replied holding onto her grandmothers hands. The two headed inside to catch up with one another.
Her grandmother Molly and her were always close no matter the distance. In times of need she always called her for advice. To be living more close to her was a blessing in itself.
“I would’ve been here long time ago but I had a meeting. It ran longer than it was supposed to” Grandma Molly took her grandfathers place on council once he passed. As she felt it was her responsibility to him and the community. The people had also unanimously agreed for her to take the position.
“It’s alright grandma it gave me extra time to unpack” which was mainly just her clothes. Scanning the room over the endless boxes her grandma fussed over y/n.
“There’s plenty of time for you to do that. Now that you’re home” her grandma smiled warmly once more. “You’re right but it’s just I need groceries” y/n replied as she looked around the fridge.
“I left you plenty of dry goods in the cabinets. But I took what was in the fridge and freezer. I figured we’d go now and shop for something more fresh” y/n wasn’t surprised at her grandmas smart and thoughtful thinking.
Agreeing the two stepped out of the house. Only to be met with the arrival of her cousin Quil Ateara V. Pulling up in his black truck he wore a cheeky grin. Immediately he stepped out and rushed in for a hug.
Quil was another one of her cousins she grew up close with. Besides herself Quil was close with their grandparents. Majority of the family relied on Quil and his help. It comforted y/n to know she’d see him more often now.
“Good to see you sis” he said as the two pulled away from each other. “You too! I was gonna text you but I’m glad to see you! I’ve been meaning to thank you for the help. Moving the furniture for me was a huge help for real”
“Easy work. If you need anything just let me know” Quil was always cocky and loved to tease. He could be serious when needed to. It was something y/n somehow missed in their time apart. Although she knew that behaviour was bound to wear on her. For now she was enjoying the moment.
“We were just going into town. What are you up to?” Grandma Molly asked Quil. Shrugging his shoulders he replied “Not much just about to stop in at the house. Wanted to see if this girl was home yet or not” he smiled as he nudged y/n’s shoulder.
Y/n smiled before an idea popped into her head. “How about the three of us eat dinner? On me? I’m famished and I do owe the both of you” she replied as the two agreed. “You don’t owe us anything we’re family” Grandma Molly assured y/n as the two walked to the car. “But I will take you on that offer” she joked making the other two laugh.
“Well I have my truck so I’ll meet you girls where?” Quil asked whilst twirling his keys. The three threw out suggestions. Grandma Molly and Quil ended up squabbling over which place to eat.
“How about Carver’s? Y’know I haven’t been there in ages” y/n suggested trying to end the arguments. It worked as everyone agreed. Y/n and her grandma went together as Quil followed in his truck behind. The drive was short but eventful. As grandma Molly continued to give her an update on everyone in the reserve.
Tumblr media
Somewhere behind them Quil had veered off the path. But y/n knew he would eventually come behind. Vouching to get a table without him until he came the two headed inside. As y/n held the door open for her grandmother, before she could enter, a man rushed to hold open the door.
“Here I got it” the man said, he stood tall way over six feet and was obviously Quileute, despite cold weather he wore only a long sleeve shirt. Y/n briefly looked at him before a surprise walked through the door.
“Y/n? Grandma Molly? Oh my god! It is true you’re finally home!” Out rushing was her cousin Kim Conweller. She grew up with her close, the two were always together, but recent years they’ve been in and out of touch. The bond between them has never faded.
Growing up Kim, Quil, and y/n were close as a trio. They were the eldest out of their cousins. It had been awhile since the three of them were under one roof. Y/n felt overjoyed at her so far warm welcomes from everyone she’s seen.
The two hugged tightly albeit y/n was surprised. “Kim! Hi yes I’m home for good now! I’m glad to run into you” she smiled as Kim gushed. “Grandma here told me a few weeks ago you were moving down. I wasn’t sure if you actually were but here you are!” Kim gushed with a bright smile.
Y/n smiled back before looking up at the man who held the door. Who stared down at y/n, with curious eyes, it felt like the two somehow knew each other. Kim took notice and nervously laughed clutching onto his arm.
“Sorry y/n you caught me off guard. This is my boyfriend Jared Cameron and this is my cousin y/n“ Kim introduced the two as Jared reached out for a handshake. When she did he wore a welcoming grin holding a firm grip on her hand. It was almost like it burned to touch him with how warm he was y/n thought.
She had heard of Kim speak of Jared when they talked. Even when he was nothing more than a high school crush to Kim. But y/n never knew anything more than his name and who his family was. She has always been curious as to who he really was.
“Great to meet you y/n I heard a lot about you from Kim” Jared said as he stood beside Kim. Making y/n look at Kim with an eyebrow raised. “Hopefully she didn’t say too much” she joked as the rest of them laughed slightly.
Before Kim answered she gave a quick glance to Jared. Then with a bright smile she replied “Of course not! I’ve just been excited to know you’re back home. It’ll be nice to have a close girlfriend around” Kim said as it was true.
Y/n was the only girl she knew who was into feminine interests. Such as beauty, fashion, and everything in between. When these two meet it was always a blast.
“Yeah me too I’m glad to have seen you Kim. You should stop by the house this week. Once I get more settled in” y/n offered. After all it’d be great to have a visitor or a helper to unpack. It’s been long enough since it was just the two of them.
“Yeah of course just send me a text. Well we better get going it looks like we’re holding up the door here” Kim said as more people pulled up to eat at the diner. As they all started to leave Quil finally arrived. As he got out of the car he rushed up to the group.
“Hey bro” Quil said as he walked up to greet Jared. Who wore a smile bright as Kim’s when they briefly hugged. “Hey~, I’ll see you at the house, alright?” Was all that was exchanged as Quil gave a nod in response. The couple leaving in Jared’s truck.
‘Wait what house?’ Y/n thought as Quil ushered them inside. Sitting down it was a quaint dinner between the three of them. It felt familiar and refreshing for the three of them. The last few months darkened by the death of Quil Atera III.
The three talked about everything going on in each others lives. How their grandma worried about them and their future. Willing to help in anyway she can. Quil’s silly jokes and stories entertained them throughout the evening.
Finishing up their dinner they got it ready to take home. As it was getting dark Quil offered to take their grandmother home. Quil said “You need to catch up on your rest sis. Really it’s no problem” y/n knew she couldn’t argue.
As she looked up ready to leave she seen two people coming through the door. First to walk in was a girl with long soft auburn curls, skin that was beautifully pale and somehow glowing, her features were delicate and pretty.
Her beauty took the breath away from y/n. For she didn’t look like she was real more like a doll. It was hard to believe someone could look so ethereal.
Behind her came a tall man with broad shoulders. He was also tall dark and handsome, another obvious Quileute man, wearing a leather jacket. The two gave off such a powerful impression it was almost unreal as they stood together. His eyes were fierce but dark as he looked over at their table.
Quil took notice from the look y/n had on her face. Turning around his heart dropped into his stomach. The two men looked at one another with disbelief. “Jacob” he said rising from his chair, this earned a smile from the man, who y/n assumed was Jacob.
“Brother” was all Jacob said as the two collided into a tight hug. Holding each other for a moment. As the two broke away Jacob patted Quil’s shoulders. The fierce look in Jacob’s eyes faded away.
“I thought—“ Quil tried to speak before getting cut off. “We’re back home” Jacob said as he looked directly into his eyes holding Quil’s shoulders to keep him in place. They shared a brief moment together before Quil nodded. His lips tightened into a stern expression.
“Hi” the girl said with a voice so sweet and alluring. Taking away her focus it was all drawn in suddenly on the mysterious girl. “I’m Renesmee” She answered earning a smile from Y/n. “Hey my names y/n” Renesmee’s smile was so welcoming.
It felt like y/n was being drawn towards her more and more with each passing second. She was definitely being enchanted by her and her eyes. They were a shade of colour close to her hair, an almost honey brown, y/n and her eyes were locked. As the girl reached towards y/n to shake her hand Quil came quickly to her side.
Jacob suddenly put a gentle hand on Renesmee’s shoulder. Breaking eye contact it was like y/n snapped out of it, as if she wasn’t breathing before, she sucked the air back into her lungs. Leaning on Quil for support briefly. He looked down at her with concern.
“We were just getting a bite to eat me and her. I’ll stop by once I drop this girl off home” he told Quil as he cocked his head in response. “Back home already? Huh… Alright—” Taking a moment to rub y/n’s arm in support. He nodded as he grabbed his jacket and Grandma Molly’s arm.
“We have to get going” Quil said cutting the meeting short. “I have to get my grandmother home” he said as their grandmother tried to argue she wasn’t tired. Y/n was still trying to get a grip on herself. Feeling Renesmee burning a hole into her neck.
“I’ll be by later. I need to talk with Sam and the others” Jacob said with the serious look in his eye back. Quil nodded and as he turned y/n noticed the look on his face. As if he was slightly panicked trying to keep calm.
Grandma Molly silently placed her hand over Quil’s. Giving a firm but soft squeeze to reassure him. Quil’s posture softened, the three of them watching the two leave, y/n noticed how the energy of Quil and grandma Molly changed.
Y/n didnt want to bother the two and ask what was up. She felt it wasn’t appropriate instead deciding to just say goodnight to the both of them. As the two sped off in the opposite direction of grandma Molly’s house.
As she drove home she tried to calm her unsettled nerves. Reneesme was so enchanting and enticing, it was like she wanted to just submit to her, whatever she asked. It made y/n uncomfortable with how willing she truly was.
Trying to avert her focus she turned the music up and chalked it up to sleep deprivation. Maybe even anxiety but in reality y/n couldn’t put a finger on it. Who ever Reneesme was she was unworldly y/n thought before falling asleep.
Tumblr media
As the week progressed y/n settled into her house and tried to figure out a routine. Which ended up just becoming eating, sleeping, unpacking, more unpacking, etc. A bit of shopping in between.
Already tired of her routine she wondered what type of social life there is out here. And when would she be able to find new friends. Her and Kim had been texting with each other frequently. Quil as well but both have been too busy to stop by.
It was still an adjustment living alone in such a big house. Didn’t help that every time she went places, like the grocery store, shopping for the house, she’d get that eerie feeling again. It wasn’t anxiety that was a feeling she was accustomed to.
For her it felt like being watched weirdly enough. Y/n had been shaking it off as moving in jitters. But in the back of her mind the thought of it all sat there. She didn’t feel afraid but more unnerved, feeling the back of her neck hairs raise, as if she needed to be alert.
Sometimes before bed, in her bedroom there was a windowsill to sit on, some nights she’d just gaze out into the tree line. Looking up at the moon in all it’s beauty. It was one of the only ways to soothe her nerves as of late.
All of it made her wish for a roommate some days. Living alone out in an open field was unnerving enough. But when she’d leave that’s when the feeling would arise. She wondered if it was spirits but the house was already cleansed thanks to her grandma Molly.
Randomly Kim arrived that weekend, unannounced but most welcome, y/n was wondering when she would come. “Wow you’ve already made the place your own huh” she said impressed with how she decorated. Definitely a change from the usual way it stayed for years.
“Yeah well I’ll be here for who knows how long” Y/n said as the two sat in the living room. The two talking about what each other missed on in their time apart. Which was mostly just Kim gushing on and on about Jared.
Y/n knew Kim was obsessed with this one crush of hers for years. But since they didn’t go to the same school y/n always wondered who the guy was. It was exciting to know he is as obsessed with her as she is.
“Yeah things have been great with him. Hoping soon we can have our own place together. On that note I hope you don’t mind but he told our friends about you. Since we don’t get much new people here they were excited. They all wanna meet you”
This piqued y/n’s interest, she couldn’t stand being in the house alone, the novelty of it all was starting to wear on her. “Really? I mean who are your friends?” She asked with a curious tint in her eyes which amused Kim.
“I mean~ I’m really close with this girl named Emily. She has a man named Sam who Jared is also close with. We usually just hang at her place since everyone else does”
“And who’s everyone else?” Y/n asked making Kim shrug her shoulders. “Most of them are Jared’s brothers, cousins, and friends he took in. In our friend group there’s hardly any girls. Just me, Emily, and Leah”
Kim went on about who these two girls were. Emily was a friend of hers she got close with in recent years. Around two years older than the two but she was carefree and loved by all. Her fiancé Sam was a strong but calm man, was always busy with work, but loves Emily fiercely.
Apparently a few years back she had been attacked by a bear. Luckily before it claimed her life Sam came with a shot gun and blew its head out. As proof of the kill they gifted the community jars full of bear grease. It was also how Emily was able to fix her face since it was torn to shreds.
Leah was described as stoic and honest, maybe too honest for her own good, a very independent person. But like the rest she was fiercely loyal and protective of those she loves. She was more of a boyish girl and hung with her brothers a lot.
“The rest is just guys like Quil, Embry, and Jacob I don’t know if you remember those guys” Kim said making y/n rack her brain about remembering them. “Yeah somewhat… But either way I’d like to meet them also” She said getting Kim excited and giddy as she squealed.
“Well~ I came over to ask if you wanted to come to this bonfire party. It’s this weekend and I told everyone you would come. Emily especially wants to see you” Y/n couldn’t help but feel flattered and excited. This was what she was wanting, to meet new friends, so why wouldn’t she agree?
“Yeah of course it sounds fun” she said making Kim squeal with excitement. “Okay great! Oh it’s gonna be so fun I’ll get dropped off here and come with you in your car if that’s ok?” She asked and of course y/n agreed.
“It’s just that Jared has some other errands to do I don’t wanna waste my time on that” Kim said making y/n giggle. The two girls continued their visit till dark before she left. Thinking of what they wanted to do this weekend.
Jared came in his blue heavy duty truck with loud pipes announcing his arrival. Like the gentleman he was he came to the door for Kim. Before leaving she promised she’d come spend the night this weekend. It gave y/n something to look forward to.
That night y/n followed her now usual routine. Sitting in her windowsill gazing out to the tree line. Tonight was a full moon that stood high above the trees and mountains. She gazed upon it until she felt tired enough to just sleep when she hit the bed.
As she slept she had a dream, of her alone in the woods behind her house, everything all felt real to her. How the cold air bit at her skin and shocked her lungs when breathing in. Looking down she wore only a white dress with no details.
She didn’t have any shoes on either. Feeling the crunchy dirt under her feet. Looking around she wondered what was happening. She could hardly see within six feet in front of her.
The full moon was bright as it shined down through the trees. Although beautiful it didn’t help much. Aware of her surroundings she couldn’t make out where was home. Trying to find the North Star or at least the Big Dipper for guidance.
The air was silent and very still a sign she knew wasn’t good. Her instincts told her she should be quiet. For she wasn’t alone in this vast wilderness. Feeling her heart beat start to race at a steadily rising pace.
In the distance she could hear echos of thumps, four legs on the ground running at top speed, right in her direction. Her heart started to beat faster and louder. Before she knew it she was on her feet.
She ran as fast as she could, it didn’t help she was barefooted, it messed with her speed. Panicked and alone she wasn’t sure where to go. All she knew was there was something coming for *her.* The pain of pine needles and stones beneath her steps.
Somehow she was sweating as she ran full speed. She could hear the noise of something on all fours running behind her. As she briefly looked behind she twisted her foot and rolled on the ground.
Crawling onto her knees in a hurry she was frantic. The fear of not knowing what would happen if she stopped. But it was like her legs were weak and her body frozen in place.
“I can help you” a familiar voice chimed in front of her making her jump back. She felt frozen as her eyes looked forward. A woman stood in front of her face hidden under the shadows.
Y/n’s eyes trailed up from her feet, by the time she got to her chest, she could see auburn hair flowing in the wind. It gave her brief solace seeing her, the girl from earlier, Renesmee. Thinking she’d meet with the soft enchanting eyes as she did before.
Only to be met with eyes that were so black it competed with the shadows. Her skin like diamonds under the moonlight. True fear ran through y/n’s veins as she was once again locked eyes with this girl. Everything in her body told her this was what she was running from.
A howl suddenly pierced through the valley and trees. It was loud and clear so much it rang throughout her ears. It sounded like the howl was right behind her somehow directly in her ear. It struck fear into the woman in front of her.
The howl made her snap out of the dream entirely. Y/n jumped out of bed and clasped her chest. Sitting in a cold sweat her heart beat pumped steadily. Wondering what her dream meant and why did the howl comfort her so much?
Tumblr media
Finally finished rewriting this fic! This is a redo of my old fic named “Pale Moonlight” I did 2 years ago. I always liked the concept but I struggled on the timeline. Originally I wanted to set it during the actual events of the saga. But I ended up making this after the events of the twilight saga. As a way of seeing what the Wolfpack get up to with and without vampires. This is focused on them and their story. Not to mention a romance with Paul 💪 I do have the other chapters ready but I need time to edit them. In the meantime feel free to leave feedback 🫶

Fragility | Caius Volturi x Reader
Pairing: Caius Volturi x Reader Summary: Caius' human mate has fallen ill.
Tumblr media
The castle walls were as cold as the man you’d come to know as Caius, one of the Volturi kings. You hadn’t meant to end up here—dragged into the world of vampires because of a fateful connection you couldn’t quite understand. All you knew was that the man with the piercing eyes and cruel tongue was drawn to you, even as he fought to keep you at arm’s length. When you'd arrived at the castle, it wasn't for this reason at all. Your father, a well known influence in Italy, had been turned -- one dark night as sheets of rain fell.
After his turning, he went out of control, horrific blood thirst and confusion plaguing him and creating a monster. He'd turned your mother too, on accident. So, consequently, your entire household was summoned to the castle, forced to come before the Volturi kings. Of course, your parents were ended almost as soon as they were brought before Aro. They'd caused too much wreckage, too much confusion among Italy. After all, your family was a sort of royalty in Italy, just like the Volturi -- only you were human. There were whispers about the disappearance of your father and then about the disappearance of your family.
You were fated to be killed too. That was until Aro and Caius took a closer look at you. When you'd gathered the courage to meet the eyes of Caius Volturi in the throne room, his red predatory eyes, they were full of a mix of emotions.
Caius had looked at you as though you were an anomaly, something inexplicable and infuriating. For a moment, the throne room had fallen silent, the usual air of formality dissipating into something heavy and charged. You couldn’t breathe under the weight of his gaze, yet you couldn’t look away either.
Aro had been the first to break the silence. “Oh, how delightful,” he murmured, his tone light but laced with intrigue. He moved closer, his pale hand extending toward you. “There is something extraordinary about her, isn’t there, Caius?”
Caius’s jaw tightened, his lips pressing into a thin line. “Extraordinary or not,” he said coldly, “she’s human. Fragile. A liability.”
Aro’s grin widened as if Caius’s words only amused him. “Ah, but she’s also your mate, dear brother.”
The words sent a shockwave through the room, and you couldn’t quite comprehend their meaning. Mate? Your heart pounded in your chest, but it was nothing compared to the flicker of something—anger? Fear?—that passed over Caius’s otherwise impenetrable face.
“Impossible,” Caius said sharply, though his voice betrayed a crack of uncertainty. “She’s nothing.”
You flinched at the coldness of his tone, but Aro was quick to soothe. “Oh, Caius, you can’t fight fate,” he said, stepping back and gesturing toward you with a flourish. “She’s quite intriguing, isn’t she? Even Marcus agrees.”
Marcus, the quietest of the three, simply nodded, his ancient eyes watching you with something that felt like pity. “The bond is there,” he said softly. “Undeniable.”
Caius glared at Marcus, but his defiance faltered when he looked at you again. His crimson eyes narrowed, and for a moment, you thought he might lash out. Instead, he turned abruptly, his cloak billowing as he stormed out of the room without another word.
After that day, your life in the Volturi castle became a strange blend of luxury and imprisonment. You were given quarters that rivaled those of royalty, with silk sheets, fine clothes, and meals prepared to perfection. But the grandeur did little to ease the tension of your situation. You were watched constantly, your every move monitored by guards who reported directly to Caius.
He avoided you at first, his disdain for the situation evident in every clipped command he gave the others regarding your care. Yet, despite his coldness, he refused to let you leave the castle grounds. When Aro questioned this decision, Caius’s response was curt and final: “She’s too fragile.”
You overheard the whispers among the Volturi guard -- snippets of conversation about how Caius’s protective streak was unusual, even for a mate. “He won’t admit it,” Jane had said once, her cold voice laced with both amusement and curiosity, “but she’s already under his skin.”
The first time you saw Caius’s care for you in full force was during a confrontation with a visiting coven. One of their members -- a tall, arrogant vampire with a cruel smirk -- had made a passing comment about the “human pet” in the castle. The words hadn’t even fully left his mouth before Caius was upon him, his hand wrapped around the vampire’s throat.
“You will address her with respect,” Caius snarled, his voice like ice. “Or you won’t address her at all.“
The entire room had fallen silent, and even Aro seemed taken aback by the ferocity in Caius’s tone. The vampire stammered an apology, and Caius released him with a shove, turning to you with a glare.
“Stay out of my sight,” he ordered, his voice harsh. “If we find another issue with your coven, you will all be ended, including those with petulant disrespect on their tongues.“
Over time, Caius’s cold exterior began to show cracks. He would linger in the shadows, watching you when he thought you weren’t looking. He began to ask subtle questions about your past, your interests, your fears. At first, his inquiries felt like an interrogation, but gradually, you realized he was trying to understand you.
One evening, as you sat in the castle’s vast library, he appeared without warning. “Why do you always sit here?” he asked, his tone less sharp than usual.
You looked up from the book in your lap, startled. “It’s quiet,” you said simply. “And the view of the gardens is beautiful.”
He said nothing, his gaze drifting to the window. After a moment, he sat in the chair across from you, his presence both unsettling and strangely comforting. “Beauty is fleeting,” he said, almost to himself. “But you… you endure.”
The words hung in the air, and you didn’t know how to respond. Before you could find your voice, he stood and left, his cloak swishing behind him.
As time passed, his moments of softness got more frequent, but always shocking to you. Though you spent most of your time alone, more and more often you found that Caius would join you in a room, sitting across it and speaking to you softly. It was almost like he didn't dare to touch you, in fear that you'd break.
For the past three days, you hadn't seen him. He was engrossed in a lengthy trial, one of the betrayal of a coven that was close in affairs to the Volturi. It was complicated and required much contemplation by the Kings and the Guard -- so you didn't think too poorly of Caius for not finding time to see you. You didn't ever expect anything from Caius. He was in a dominant position over you and came and went as he wished. But, luck would have it, you'd fallen extremely ill the first night you hadn't seen him for dinner.
The human secretary, Janine, that was tasked with checking on you when Caius was busy wasn't the most.. intelligent.. caretaker. In fact, in your sick delirium, you'd had only one accurate thought. If Caius caught wind of how she'd been caring for you, she'd be swiftly killed. After all, she hadn't even informed Caius of your illness.
The cool, marble walls of your quarters seemed to trap the heat radiating from your fever-ridden body, amplifying your misery. You lay in bed, tangled in damp sheets that stuck to your skin, every muscle in your body aching as though you had been trampled. The room blurred and swam before your eyes, but even through the fog of your illness, you registered the sound of the door creaking open.
Janine strolled in, carrying a water pitcher and a single glass with a dismissive air. She placed them carelessly on the table beside your bed, the loud clink making you wince. “Here,” she said flatly. “Drink some water. That’s all you need.”
You blinked sluggishly at her, the effort it took to keep your eyes open making your head throb worse. The room tilted for a moment before settling, but the indifference in her tone didn’t escape you. Her presence, the lack of care in her movements, and the words themselves grated against your already fragile state. You'd known Janine was full of jealousy -- jealous of your position. You were given almost anything you wanted, though you didn't request much, but.. You were to be the wife of one of the Kings eventually. It was enough to make her distaste for you grow with every second.
You felt like death was going to come over you if you didn't at least receive something for your pain, though. You knew you needed to speak up.
"Janine. I need something stronger."
She sighed loudly, as though your request were an inconvenience rather than a genuine cry for help. “You’re just feverish,” she said dismissively, straightening her posture as if to emphasize her superiority in the moment. “Drink the water and rest. You’ll get over it.”
Her lack of empathy left you stunned. The world swirled around you, the fever clouding your ability to argue or even react properly. You managed a faint whisper, one you weren’t sure she even heard. “If Caius knew…”
She froze for the briefest of moments before her lip curled into a smirk. “Caius isn’t here, is he? He has far more important matters to attend to than a sick little human. Just be grateful he even allows you to stay here.”
The tone in her voice felt like a slap, but you lacked the energy to do more than close your eyes and turn your face away. Tears prickled at the corners of your eyes, exhaustion overcoming you. If you were less weak, you would have slapped her. But you couldn't even will yourself to get out of bed.
As Janine turned to leave, the door slammed open with such force that it rattled on its hinges. The temperature in the room seemed to drop, the air growing heavier as an unmistakable presence filled the space.
It was a positive for you for the first time in the months you'd been at the castle. You knew who it was, of course. Caius's entrance into a room was always felt by everybody in it. Usually, it made you slightly anxious and a bit more self-conscious, but now, relief washed over you in waves.
“Janine.” Caius’s voice was low, cold, and lethally calm, each syllable a knife’s edge. It still held its usual venom, though. Enough to make you sting for hours after hearing it.
The blood drained from Janine’s face as she spun around, her smirk vanishing instantly. “My lord,” she stammered, attempting a clumsy curtsy. “I was just--”
“You were neglecting your duties,” Caius interrupted, stepping into the room with deliberate, measured strides. His crimson eyes flicked to you, narrowing at your pale, fever-flushed face and trembling frame. “What. Has. Happened?”
Janine opened her mouth to respond, but her voice faltered under his glare. “She’s… unwell,” she finally managed. “I brought her water--”
Caius’s lips curled into a snarl, cutting her off. “You call this care? Leaving her to suffer, unattended, as though she is some insignificant pest?”
“My lord, I--”
“Enough.” The word was sharp and final, and the weight of his authority silenced her completely. His focus shifted entirely to you as he crossed the room in two swift steps.
He sat beside you, the mattress dipping under his weight, and his icy hand brushed against your burning forehead. You flinched slightly at the stark contrast, but the relief was instant. His expression hardened further as he assessed your condition.
“Why did you not call for me?” he asked, his voice gentler now but still tinged with frustration.
You swallowed hard, the effort painful. “Didn't.. want to bother you,” you whispered, your voice breaking on the last word. “Janine was here to check on me, and I thought your trial needed more of your attention than I did.”
Caius’s crimson eyes narrowed, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his face. He stayed silent for a moment, as though trying to process your words, before leaning forward slightly, his gaze boring into yours. His hand, still cool against your fevered skin, shifted slightly, his thumb brushing over your temple with a gentleness you hadn’t thought him capable of.
“You thought wrong,” he said, his voice low but resolute, the frustration in his tone undercut by a strange softness. “Nothing -- no one -- is more deserving of my attention than you, especially in such a state.”
You blinked up at him, surprised by both the intensity and the tenderness in his words. Caius was not one to admit weakness or vulnerability, yet here he was, clearly affected by your condition.
“You… have responsibilities,” you murmured weakly, though it was hard to hold his gaze with the weight of his emotion bearing down on you.
“And you are one of them,” he interrupted sharply, though not unkindly. “Do not mistake my obligations for distractions. Your well-being is of paramount importance to me. More so than you seem to realize.”
The conviction in his voice made your chest tighten, though whether from the remnants of the fever or the weight of his words, you couldn’t tell. Before you could muster a response, Caius glanced toward the door, his expression hardening.
“I trusted Janine to care for you, and for that, I hold her failure in the highest contempt,” he said, his voice dropping into a dangerous growl. “Her negligence is inexcusable, and she will not escape retribution.”
“Caius” you rasped, your voice barely above a whisper. “Don’t… hurt her. She didn’t mean--”
“She failed you,” Caius cut in, his tone steely, though his gaze softened when it returned to your face. “And for that, there will be consequences. But that is no longer your concern.”
You swallowed the lump in your throat, realizing there was no use arguing. Caius’s mind was set, as it always was when matters of justice -- or vengeance -- were involved.
He seemed to sense your unease, his expression softening further as he leaned closer, his other hand coming to rest lightly on the bed beside you. “You are too kind, even to those who do not deserve it,” he murmured, his voice carrying a hint of admiration. “But I will not allow kindness to become a vulnerability that others exploit. Not while you are under my care.”
Your eyes fluttered closed, the effort of staying awake and coherent starting to take its toll. Yet you couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of comfort in his words, as harsh as they might have seemed. For all his coldness and cruelty to others, there was something fiercely protective in the way Caius regarded you -- something that made you feel safe, even now.
"Caius?" You gained the courage to ask quietly, willing yourself to open your eyes again. You studied his beautiful, porcelain face, his white blonde hair. His pale pink lips. "Um.. Does it bother you? Me being human?"
Caius stilled at your question, his sharp features momentarily unreadable. His crimson eyes, softened only slightly by the flickering candlelight, locked with yours. For a moment, you worried you had overstepped, that your curiosity had breached some unspoken boundary.
But then he leaned back slightly, his expression shifting into something contemplative. “Bother me?” he echoed, his voice calm, though his words carried a weight that made your heart quicken. “Your humanity is… an inconvenience at times, yes. But that is not the same as being a bother.”
You blinked, unsure how to interpret his words. “What do you mean?”
Caius’s gaze flicked away briefly, a rare hesitation crossing his face before he returned his attention to you. “It is not your fault that you are fragile,” he began, his tone measured as though choosing his words with care. “Fragility is inherent to your kind. It is… difficult, at times, to reconcile your mortality with the attachment I find myself unwillingly forming.”
Your breath caught at his admission, and you weren’t sure if it was the fever or the weight of his words making your head spin. “Attachment?”
Caius’s jaw tightened briefly, his crimson eyes narrowing slightly, though not in anger. “Do not make me repeat myself,” he said, though his words lacked their usual bite. “You are... significant to me in ways I have yet to fully understand. But your humanity complicates matters.”
He leaned forward again, his cold hand brushing against your cheek with a surprising gentleness. “You are weak, delicate, mortal,” he continued, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “And yet, despite every reason I should have to resent your presence, I find myself... drawn to you. It defies logic.”
His words left you stunned, a warmth blooming in your chest that had nothing to do with your fever. You searched his face, looking for any sign that he might be mocking you, but there was none. Caius was earnest, his piercing gaze unwavering as he awaited your response.
“I don’t want to be a burden to you,” you whispered, the vulnerability in your voice catching you by surprise. “I don’t want my humanity to be… a weakness.”
Caius’s lips pressed into a thin line, his expression softening in a way that was almost imperceptible. “Your humanity is not a weakness, unlike most humans,” he said firmly. “If anything, it is a testament to your resilience. You endure pain, illness, and fear, yet you continue to fight. That is not weakness -- it is strength.”
The intensity of his words left you speechless, your throat tightening as you fought back the surge of emotion they stirred. Caius’s hand lingered on your cheek for a moment longer before he withdrew, his gaze flicking briefly to the water pitcher on the table.
“You should drink,” he said, his tone softening further. “You need your strength to recover.”
You nodded faintly, your body too weak to do much else. As Caius poured the water with a grace that seemed almost surreal, you couldn’t help but marvel at the strange contradiction that he was -- a cold and unyielding king who had somehow become your most unlikely protector.
When he handed you the glass, his fingers brushing yours briefly, you whispered, “Thank you, Caius.”
For a moment, something in his expression shifted—an almost imperceptible crack in his icy exterior. “Rest,” he said, his voice carrying a softness that was as shocking as it was comforting. “You are safe here. I will see to that.”
As you drank the cool water and settled back into the pillows, the warmth of his presence lingered, chasing away the chill that had settled in your bones. Despite his protests and denials, Caius was proving to be more than the fearsome king you had once thought him to be. He was something far more complex -- and far more human.
You eventually fell asleep, stirring only when you got too warm or too cold. Although not awake, you could feel Caius's presence. If he sensed that you were too hot, he laid a gentle hand on your forehead, cooling you down. If he felt you shiver, he lifted the blankets closer to you, tucking you in further to spread their warmth across your body. You almost thought you could hear his voice, just before you fell into an uninterrupted, finally comfortable sleep.
“Such beauty. Such compassion. A gift for a king that deserved much less than you,” He murmured, almost inaudibly. He seemed to be speaking to himself, not you. His voice was like a prayer that lingered in the silence of the room. “You don’t belong in this world of darkness, Y/n. You are light, fragile and fleeting, burning brighter than I deserve. But still, here you are. A puzzle I cannot solve… and yet I do not wish to.”
The warmth of his words settled over you like a protective veil, and you couldn’t help but sigh in your sleep, comforted by the quiet intensity of his presence. There was something deeply private in what he had said, something he hadn’t intended for you to hear. But it didn’t matter. In that moment, despite everything -- the coldness, the darkness, the endless uncertainty -- you felt something unexplainable stir within you.
For the first time since your arrival in the Volturi’s lair, you allowed yourself to believe in the possibility that you might not be alone here, after all.

This is a PSA. From here on out I write for all women (because I have yet to explore gender neutral writing and I don’t want to accidentally slip up and say something that might make it seem like it’s only woman based)
MEANING. Black, White, Asian, Brown, Hispanic etc.
And if I’m writing about a certain race it will be specified. As a black female it really angers me to see x readers with an obvious target audience that doesn’t include myself, all my life myself and so many other women watched as others were in the spotlight and I rarely saw any representation of myself on screen, let alone ACCURATE. It always has to be stereotyped into the story. Why can’t we be written as an heir to a long line of lawyers or doctors. Why does it always have to be we made it from the trenches and we don’t belong.
Wrote all of that to say. My fics are for ALL women, unless I say otherwise. I just want people to feel more accepted and show that change is happening.
Yes I will be writing WOC for EVERYONE I write for.

୨୧ meeting you ୨୧
character’s included : damon, stefan, elijah, enzo, klaus , kol.
SUMMARY : request —they meet you, a vampire who’s turned in the 1950s. capable of flipping a bus with your pinky if needed, drink your blood bags in peace, and avoid drama unless it personally knocks on your door.
—🦌
୨୧ DAMON.
at first.
he’s intrigued. you’re not falling for his usual charm or sass, and you’re not playing the high-stakes game everyone else seems to.
he finds you reading quietly in some dimly lit lounge, legs crossed, maybe wearing a vintage outfit perfectly pressed.
you don’t even look up when he walks in.
he throws out a flirty comment.
you’d say “are you always this loud or is today special?”
Instantly obsessed.
but when he really takes notice is when someone tries to start something with you. maybe a vampire gets pushy, maybe a human flirts too hard. you stand up, say one calm sentence, and the air just shifts. cold. lethal. beautiful.
you don’t fight. you could. you won’t.
honestly? damon is in love.
he teases you a lot, trying to draw out that dangerous side just to see it again.
you just roll your eyes and sip your blood like it’s fine wine.
he calls you “greaser girl” because of the ‘50s vibes. you pretend to hate it. you don’t.
୨୧ STEFAN.
stefan is surprised, in a good way.
you remind him of how he wants to be. peaceful, distant from chaos, but still grounded and self-aware.
he’s wary at first, because mysterious vampires usually mean problems.
but then he realizes you’re just…minding your own business.
he finds you sipping blood from a crystal glass in a jazz bar you’ve basically claimed as your personal den. you’re polite but distant, and he respects that.
then someone tries to threaten you. maybe a baby vamp getting cocky. you warn them once. twice.
then the look in your eyes changes. just slightly. just enough.
you don’t need to throw a punch. your presence alone is a warning.
stefan would say. “you could kill all of us, couldn’t you?”
and your answer. “only if you make me.”
he likes you immediately. you’re the only person who makes him feel like maybe he can step away from the madness. maybe you’ll be a friend to him like lexi. maybe you’ll be more?
୨୧ ENZO.
he lOVES you.
you’re a vintage queen with a razor tongue and a “don’t start none, won’t be none” policy and he thinks that’s just about the hottest thing in the world.
he meets you at some vampire gathering. you’re sitting in a corner with an untouched drink, looking completely bored.
you make eye contact once, then look away.
he’s hooked.
when he tries to flirt, you dryly say, “If I wanted attention, I’d set something on fire.”
he laughs like really actually laughs.
then he watches you obliterate a vampire who tries to bite someone in your presence.
though you don’t even break a sweat.
he’s standing there. in awe. Impressed like. “she’s so classy. she’s so deadly. I love her.”
he most likely calls you “dollface.”
you never admit it, but your unbeating heart skips every time.
୨୧ ELIJAH.
elijah is instantly intrigued.
you carry yourself like someone with power but not the kind that flaunts. the kind that could level cities but chooses stillness.
that kind of discipline? that kind of elegance?
he respects that.
when he first approaches you, he’s formal. courteous.
“you’re not like the others,” he says.
you meet his gaze calmly. “no. I’m not interested in being like them.”
he watches you from a distance at first. you remind him of a time when vampires weren’t all chaos and bloodshed. when there was grace. class. control.
and then one day, someone underestimates you.
the way you dismantle them. intellectually, then physically. is almost poetic.
elijah watches, silently impressed. and when it’s over, he simply steps closer and offers a clean handkerchief, as if the whole thing was a ballet.
he never asks you to join his cause.
but he always leaves the door open.
୨୧ KLAUS.
Immediate threat assessment.
he assumes you’re competition. or hiding something. he pokes, pushes, tests your limits.
you don’t flinch though.
and that makes him obsessed.
he tries to intimidate you. “who are you, little vampire, to be so calm in a world full of monsters?”
you sip your blood, tilt your head. “I was made in a world where monsters wore lipstick and smiled for the camera. you don’t scare me.”
he smiles. genuinely.
you’re the kind of person he knows not to push too far.
but we all know we should be careful with klaus. not to forget—katherine who was running from behind or 500 years.
୨୧ KOL
oooh he thinks you’re the hottest thing to walk the earth.
Immediately flirts.
Immediately gets iced out.
he keeps trying. though you keep brushing him off.
he’s hooked.

Paul's Imprint
What being Paul’s imprint would be like.
A/N: Not proofread. Hope you guys enjoy this and let me know if you would like me to do the other pack members or the Cullens(what being their mates/bloodsingers would be like). I really appreciate all of the likes and reposts! Thank you all so much and I am glad you like my fics :)
Tumblr media
Being Paul’s imprint would require A LOT of patience.
He has a soft spot for you, so his anger wouldn’t be taken out on you or directed much toward you, but that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t see his bad side. When someone in the pack pisses him off he usually gets upset and phases. They fight it out, and then he comes home. He is either still upset or wants serious attention. If it’s the former expect some attitude and him taking it out on basically everything else but you. He might be aggressive with things, slamming things down and being loud. You would probably need to give him some time to cool off some more before trying to comfort him. If it’s the latter then you will have to have a cuddle session, his favorite position is laying in the bed or couch with his head in your chest and you playing with his hair and talking about your day. Your voice soothes him and calms him down, so he likes it when you talk to him. He could care less what you talk about, you could tell him about your day, or how much you hate that one girl in your math class because she chews gum loudly, you could literally talk about anything and he would be content.
Being Paul’s imprint means a lot of love and affection.
When he isn’t on patrol, he is with you. He will be on you and hugging you all of the time. Now if you have trauma with affection or just don't like to be touched he would 100% respect your boundaries, but he would try and find small ways to show and get affection. Like holding your hand or even just touching his pinky against yours when you are next to each other. He would find ways that wouldn’t make you uncomfortable and was still getting his needs met. He doesn’t mind showing his affection in front of others either, he could give less of a fuck if the pack teases him. He loves you and doesn’t care who knows it. At the beginning of your relationship, he was very careful, learning what you liked and what you disliked. He was also very subtle with his affection but he still craved it just as much as he does now. He would softly play with the hair on the back of your head while talking by the fire, small and soft touches here and there, he would DEFINITELY do that thing where guys softly touch your waist while moving behind you.
Being Paul's imprint means you would spend a lot of time with the other imprints.
You would probably be close with the other imprints. Having a werewolf boyfriend isn’t exactly normal. You might feel alone or lost a bit in the beginning. Paul was one of the first to phase, which means you most likely were also one of the first imprints. Especially if you knew Paul before the transition. Emily was one of the first imprints you met, she was so sweet and welcoming to you, and your bond turned into a sibling relationship. She treated you like family right away and made sure you knew that you were always welcome. You met the others as they became a part of the family and now you spend a lot of your time with them. You do a bunch of group things together, shopping, baking, cooking, movie nights, and of course bonfires. You all enjoy each other's company. The boys are on patrol a lot and it helps everyone get their minds off of missing them.
Being Paul’s imprint means late-night texts and calls.
Again, the boys are on patrol any time of the day or night. When Paul takes the night shift he makes sure to update you and let you know that he is safe. He is also expecting the same from you. He misses your voice, especially when your schedule gets busy and you can’t see each other as much. Sometimes he’s able to slip away for a second to see you, give you a hug and a kiss and then he is back out patrolling. He does it more often if he is patrolling near your house, mainly so he can do it quickly before Sam notices that he is missing and makes him come back.
Being Paul’s imprint means he is VERY protective of you.
He is already a protective person, it doesn’t matter if it is his friend, family, or even a stranger. He will take a bullet for someone he doesn’t know, it’s just in his nature. For you on the other hand, he would take that bullet and then hunt the person who shot it down until they beg you for forgiveness for even daring to THINK about hurting you, all the while he is still bloody and hurt. His protectiveness also correlates with his jealousy. He is a very jealous person when he is in a relationship. Even though you are his imprint he still can’t help but let the green-eyed monster loose whenever another person hits on you or checks you out. He knew you were hot, but you were for his eyes only. Being a werewolf means having to control your anger, but Paul was never really good at that, so most of the time it was you who had to calm him down. You didn’t want your boyfriend to maul someone, especially not in public. You were the only person who could calm him down fully, you would reach for him with your soft touch and everything else would fade away. Sometimes all you had to do was give him a stern look and he would cool himself off not wanting to make you upset. It bothered you sometimes how angry he would get, you tell him all the time that he is the only one for you and he has nothing to worry about but he still lets his jealousy get in the way of reasoning.

Jacob Black/Jasper Hale- Soulmates or Not Part 2
As you slowly regain consciousness, the first thing you hear are people arguing. Your eyes flutter open and as you look to the side, you see Jacob practically up in Edward's face, the wolf boy looking incredibly pissed.
"You nearly killed them!" Jacob points towards you as he yells at the vampire.
"I did what you asked me to." Edward defends himself, not looking nearly as bothered as Jacob does. "What matters is that they're still alive and that they didn't change."
"You're lucky. If they had died, or even worse turned into a damn leech, I would've killed you." Jacob growls. You can't help but to snort in disbelief at that, pulling everyone's attention towards you as they realize you're awake. Jacob is the first to rush over to you, taking your hand in his as he looks at you with surprising concern. "Hey. How are you feeling?"
"Like I got ran over by a truck, and then backed over again." You grumble, pulling your hand from his as you attempt to sit up. "What happened?"
Jacob's expression quickly turns from concern to anger. "What happened is that you handed yourself over to a damn leech! What the hell were you thinking going off on your own like that?! You could've died!"
"Why do you care?" You glare at him, watching as he flinches slightly. "Last I checked you didn't want anything to do with me."
"You're my imprint!" He argues.
"Since when has that mattered?" You can't help but to raise your voice, your own anger steadily rising. "You made it very clear from day one that you didn't want me as your imprint because I'm not Bella! You should've been thrilled at the idea of your imprint disappearing because then there would be nothing else in your way of being with Bella! Oh, wait! Except the fact she doesn't like you like that! She loves Edward, not you!"
"If she didn't care about me she wouldn't have kissed me!" Jacob snaps only to immediately close his mouth in shock.
You stare at him with wide eyes before turning your attention towards your sister who had been awkwardly standing silently in the corner the entire time. "You kissed him?"
"(Y/N)." Bella takes a step forward, looking regretful as her eyes silently beg for you to hear her out.
"Don't." You hold up your hand, forcing her to stop in her tracks. "Don't even try to explain yourself right now. I don't care for your reasoning. You don't just kiss someone Bella, especially after making it clear you don't like them in that way. It's just cruel."
"I didn't..." She trails off as you glare at her, knowing that there's nothing she can say to make this better.
Before all of this drama concerning vampires and werewolves started, she knew about your crush on Jacob. You admittedly had liked him when you were children, but that crush faded away when you both moved away with your mother. When you moved back, that crush slowly developed again. Unfortunately, the boy has only ever had eyes for you sister, and she has done nothing but lead him on over and over again. You grew tired of it pretty quickly, but your crush didn't fully die out until he rejected you as his imprint. That was when you knew you never stood a chance with him.
Sighing, you stand up from the couch, swaying slightly since you're still not fully recovered from losing so much blood. Jacob attempts to help but you simply slap his hand away, mumbling to not touch you. The second you regain your balance you make your way towards the front door, saying thanks to Edward in your mind for saving your life even if you didn't want it. Jacob and Bella both beg you to stay, that you're still not well enough to be going off on your own but you ignore them.
Exiting the house, you find Jasper standing in front of his vehicle, keys in hand. Surprisingly, Jasper is one of your closest friends. You two became rather close since Bella would always drag you along when visiting the Cullens, and Jasper could always tell how uncomfortable and out of place you felt. Despite his own discomfort, he made the effort to comfort you, striking up small conversations here and there before the two of you finally grew comfortable enough with each other to joke around. The two of you have been best friends ever since.
Getting into the vehicle, neither of you speak as he starts it up and pulls out of the driveway. His hand automatically comes over to rest on your knee, the action instantly calming your emotions. Jasper doesn't have to use his ability in order to do so at this point. Just him being in contact with you is enough to calm even your most intense emotions. He's always there for you, especially whenever Jacob does something to piss you off or upset you.
Pulling up to a spot the two of you often visit together- a little alcove overlooking the ocean- he shuts off the vehicle and gets out, quickly circling around to open your car door for you. He holds out his hand which you easily accept, neither one of you letting go as you walk to the makeshift bench Jasper made out of two tree stumps and a log.
Sitting down, neither one of you say anything for quite some time until he finally decides to break the silence. "You know, I'm glad that you're okay." He pauses as he looks at you with a smirk. "Though I'd be lying if I said I'm not disappointed that I didn't get to see you as a vampire."
"You could always change me yourself." You joke, nudging his shoulder with your own.
"Don't tempt me." Jasper chuckles, leaning over to brush his nose against your neck, the action sending a chill down your spine. "Eternity with you doesn't sound so bad."
You look at him, your breath nearly being taken away by the look in his eyes. It's a look that you've always wished to be directed towards you- a look of love and adoration. The look takes your breath away, your heart pounding in your chest.
"You'd want to spend eternity with me?" You question just to make sure.
"I'd spend every second of my life by your side if I could. And if you chose to stay mortal and die a natural death, then I'd die with you so we could spend our afterlives together too."

fork's high left winger abigail brooks: the bruiser, the dreamer, and the quiet storm
born: october 20th, 1989
species: human(?)
year: sophomore at forks highschool
love interest: jacob black
faceclaim: sophie thatcher
Tumblr media
sweet thing, i watch you
— with smudged eyeliner like war paint and boots two sizes too big—stolen from her dad’s closet years ago—abigail brooks is forks high’s paradox: the girl who looks like she might punch you in the face but is somehow the first one to pick someone up off the field. her bleach-blonde hair is choppy and uneven from late-night bathroom mirror sessions with dull scissors. she always looks a little wild, a little feral, like she might vanish into the woods and never come back.
— abigail doesn’t say much unless she has something to say—and when she does, it’s sharp, dry, and usually funny if you get her. most people don’t. but she’s not cruel, just cautious. she’s been burned before and doesn’t hand out trust easily. beneath that "mean mug" is someone fiercely loyal, fiercely protective, and deeply observant. the kind of girl who remembers the way your voice cracked when you said your mom was sick. the kind of girl who’ll leave a flower on your locker with no note and pretend it wasn’t her.
— she plays left wing on the forks high soccer team—fast, strategic, aggressive. art is her real love, though. sketchbooks crammed with charcoal dreams, tangled symbols, faces she’s never seen but somehow knows. lately, her dreams have turned vivid and strange. things that happen later—days, sometimes weeks after she draws them. a wolf in the road. a storm that never came. a boy with fire in his chest and shadows in his wake.
burn so fast it scares me
— abigail and jacob were those kinds of childhood friends—the kind who grew up sharing backyard bonfires, tire swings, and half-eaten popsicles. her dad and billy black were close, bonded by old stories, fishing trips, and a quiet understanding that came from living in a place like forks too long. the brooks family wasn’t quileute, but they were close enough to be folded into the edges of la push life.
— jacob and abigail used to build forts out of driftwood and carve initials into trees like it meant something. he called her "abs" back then, before the bleach and the boots and the walls she built around herself.
— they drifted apart in middle school—she got quiet, he got taller. life started to change, as it does. but there’s a weird ache between them now, something deeper than memory. like they’ve both been walking in circles for years, about to meet again in the center of something bigger.

hii guys!! meet my cringey twilight oc...she's been lingering in my mind since i read the books like 2 years ago and finished them last year!! i wanted to make jacob an age appropriate love interest who actually treated him right...she's based off book lore more than movie lore hence her birthdate!! idk if anyone even likes twilight or ocs for it but it's one of my favorite guilty pleasure series and i've worked hard on developing abigail for a while now so i hope you guys like her 🫶🏻

Total Eclipse Of The Heart (Part 9)
Jacob Black x Vampire!Swan Reader
This has been in my drafts for over 2 years 😂Proceed with caution, steamy make out session and some blood drinking.
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
It has been ten minutes…maybe more since Y/N was taken into the Cullen’s meeting room. It’s been radio silence, since Bella and Edward came back from their honeymoon. When Y/N does emerge, Jacob knows immediately, something is very wrong.
“Jacob,” she reaches a hand toward him. “Come with me?”
Jake moves to stand, twining their fingers and allowing the vampire to lead him out the front door, down to his bike. He leans against it, expectantly. “You gonna tell me what the hell’s going on?”
“Bella’s pregnant.”
“With what exactly?” Jacob grimaces.
“Carlisle isn’t sure, they’re…we’re trying to figure it out.”
“So make them take it out of her, he’s a doctor.”
“Jake,” Y/N shakes her head, “she doesn’t want it out.”
“What?”
“It’s her choice and I won’t take it from her.” She knows what it feels like.
“This is different.” This is fucked.
“She thinks Carlisle can turn her at the last minute.” Y/N fidgets with his fingers as she speaks.
“Can he?” The wolf clears his throat.
“It’s possible.”
“But not probable.”
“Baby,” Y/N frowns, “I don’t want to fight. I need you to help me, help her.”
Jacob sighs, “what can I do?”
————————————————————————
Charlie is not so easily swayed, he knows Y/N knows something. He watches his eldest daughter intently at breakfast.
Bella is sick with some kind of bug, currently recovering at a luxury facility in Sweden. Or so the story goes.
The sheriff eyes his oldest daughter over the morning paper.
Y/N catches him, meeting his eye with an awkward smile as she forces a spoonful of cereal into her mouth.
“When did we start lying to each other, kid?” Charlie asks.
“When it became necessary to keep you safe. I think it’s the same on your end.”
Charlie is taken aback by this. It’s the most honest answer he’s got from her in months. “If you’re in some kind of trouble, or Bella is-”
“It’s not the kind of trouble you can help me with.”
“Wish you’d at least talk to me about it.”
“I wish I could, Dad.” Y/N admits.
“But you can’t. For the sake of my safety?” He knows this game.
“All of ours.”
Charlie sighs. “Do you know anything else about Bella? How she’s doing?”
“I know she’s alright.” For now. “That’s all I know.”
————————————————————————
Days pass in a blur, Bella withering away as her belly grows.
“How’s dad?” She asks Y/N, curling both legs up under her, on the couch.
Y/N tosses her a blanket. “He’s alright. He misses you though.” She can’t imagine what he’ll be like when they actually…leave.
Bella nods. “How are you?”
“I’m ok.” Y/N lifts a shoulder. She has to be. “The baby could be here anytime now, I need to hunt so I’ll be gone for the day.”
“That’s fine.” Bella’s teeth chatter, she is so cold.
“I’ll leave Jacob with you, he can be your personal hot box.”
“N-no.” Bella forces out, “you don’t have to.”
“I’m not letting you suffer anymore than you already are, Bella.” Y/N mutters, bitterly.
Jacob is leaning against the doorframe, with his arms crossed, waiting for his queue.
Y/N makes her way over to him, feeling his arms encircle her waist, crushing her to him. She nuzzles into the crook of his neck. “Will you stay with her?”
“Yeah,” his words are lost in her hair.
She presses a kiss to his jugular.
“I would let you.” Jacob whispers, “if you want to try, so you don’t have to leave her like this.”
Y/N pulls back, searching his eyes. “No, Jake.” Its come up before. Bite me.
“I’m not affected by your venom unless I’m already injured.”
“No.”
“It’s no different than you drinking from an animal. I heal fast, it won’t be an issue.”
Y/N opens her mouth to protest.
“I can feel you,” Jacob reminds her. “There’s nothing to feel bad or guilty about. I want you to.”
“Are you sure?” Y/N doesn’t want to further complicate their relationship.
He nods, “come on.” They find an unoccupied room in the Cullen’s home. Jacob flops down on their cream colored sofa, patting his lap.
Y/N eyes him, warily. Climbing to sit over top his thighs, facing him.
Jacob brushes Y/N’s hair over her shoulders and out of the way. Kissing her lips, her forehead, her nose, “bite me.”
She finds a spot on the side of his neck, peppering his beautiful skin with her kisses, breaking it with her teeth.
Jacob groans, turning his head to give her better access.
Y/N whimpers as his blood fills her mouth, trickling down to ease the burning in her throat.
“You’re ok.” He swallows and she feels it against her tongue. “I love you.”
Fuck. Y/N rolls her hips against his. “I love you.”
“I know,” he guides her back to the opening on his neck. His heart beats faster at the pull of her sucking swallows, he hopes she never stops. Jacob sighs contently as she takes her fill of him on the Cullen’s sitting room couch.
Her lips are on his, the moment she’s finished. His bitter blood in her mouth, it’s not as good as the animals she’s accustomed to feeding from. The only thing making the taste bearable is the knowledge that it’s his. Jacob’s blood fueling her, filling her. Belonging to him so wholly.
Jacob tastes the blood and kisses her anyway. The wound on his neck has already begun to heal, he pulls her closer. He never wants her to drink from anything but him again.
Perhaps it’s the imprint, or the reincarnation, maybe it’s just love. Whatever the culprit may be, they are in it now, too deep to ever surface.
Only one thing could steal them from revelry now. The sound of Bella’s tortured screams. The baby is coming.

Rumination
Ruminate
(v.) To think about something deeply
After Edward left her, Bella Swan fell apart. Desperate to try and save his eldest daughter, Charlie brings his youngest daughter to Forks to see if she can bring her sister out of her depression.
Now, y/n must try to help her sister find her way back to the light while also trying to navigate her Junior year of high school in the odd town of Forks.
Chapter Fourteen: Preparations
now playing: Monsters by Hurricane Bells
Bella’s graduation day arrived. Charlie didn’t know why I wasn’t happy for her, and scolded me for not supporting my sister. The entire ceremony was spent, on my part, staring blankly at a wall.
Jessica gave her Valedictorian speech, everyone received their diplomas, and then went to party at the Cullens’ house. I went back to Sam and Emily’s house and did my best not to think about anything except the people in front of me.
When everyone filed in for dinner, there were three distinct absences.
“Where’s Jacob, Embry, and Quill?” I asked, dread prickling up my spine. Seth looked around, as if only now noticing they were gone, and the rest looked uneasy. Colin and Brady, the two newest additions to the pack, hastily turned their faces to their food to avoid answering me.
“They went to crash the graduation party,” Jared said at last, in between bites. I stared at him, but he kept his head down. I sighed, sitting down heavily at the table.
Cartoons played idly in the background, and no one moved to change it.
It was a while before anyone spoke again, but Emily was the one to break the silence.
“You should spend the day with Bella,” She said gently, “Spend time with her before…”
She trailed off, but anyone could hear the implied “before you can’t anymore.” I closed my eyes for a long moment before nodding.
“I will,” I said quietly, feeling defeated. No matter how badly I wanted my sister to stay alive, she was determined to become a vampire and stay with Edward forever.
Would I be able to see her, after her change? Bella told me that newborn vampires were the most bloodthirsty, far stronger than matured vampires and more willing to lean into their killdrive. If I could see her, would she still want to see me? For how long would we be able to see eachother? She would remain eternally frozen, always youthful and eighteen; her skin would remain smooth, her body never wrinkling or changing. How long would it be until I, her younger sister, would look like her mother? Her grandmother? Would I ever be able to explain why my sister was eternally youthful, if I ever married or had children? Would she come to Charlie’s, or Renee’s, or Phil’s funerals? She would stay the same age as when she was turned, and in twenty, or thirty, or forty years, when I was grown, with an adult body and signs of aging. I was always supposed to outlive her, as the youngest. We were supposed to grow old together, live beside each other so our children could play together and our husbands could be friends.
Quill came through the door, breaking me from my thoughts. He looked elated.
“Sam,” He panted, clearly having ran from the Cullens’ house back here, “The leeches want a meeting. The small girl, the one who can see the future, saw the vampires from Seattle coming down here for Bella.”
My heart seized, and I whipped my head up to stare at him. Quill’s eyes met mine, and he seemed to freeze. I supposed I wasn’t supposed to be here when he broke the news, then.
“Let me come.” It wasn’t a question, really, more a demand aimed at Sam. Jared and Paul opened their mouths, but I continued, “Bella will be there. I want to go, too. Neutral parties, right?”
“You two are anything but neutral,” Paul muttered, and I smacked his arm. I didn’t look away from Sam, though, because he did seem to think about it, just a bit.
I kept pressing, “If the vampires are going to be after Bella, I can help. I want to help, Sam, please. She’s my sister.”
Unwillingly, tears welled up in my eyes. And I hastily tried to blink them away, wiping at my cheeks and swallowing the lump in my throat. Sam closed his eyes, and the rest of the werewolves went still. I assumed they were talking telepathically, likely also with Jacob and Embry. I didn’t know where Leah and Seth were, but I assumed they were also being consulted. After a long moment, Paul clenched his jaw tightly and Jared winced, glancing sidelong at us.
“You will stay beside Paul at all times,” Sam said at last, “If you’re not beside him, then you’re beside Leah. The two of them will be making sure that you are safe.”
“If something goes wrong, Leah’s going to take you and run.” Paul said, his voice tense and his arms crossed tightly across his chest. I nodded quickly, thanking them.
I changed into thick denim jeans, pulling a hoodie over my shirt before shoving my feet into my boots. The wolves and I filed outside and into the forest, and I stepped back a good distance as they shifted. The sound was still horrible, the sound of bones breaking and muscle ripping to rearrange enough to make me a bit sick. Seth, in wolf form, appeared on my right side and nearly knocked me over as he rubbed past me. Leah, now on my left, kept me upright before crouching lowly and using her massive shoulder to lightly knock against my knee. Making an assumption, I crawled onto her back and situated myself to hold tightly to her neck. She made a huffing sound, slightly fond sounding, and stood back up. For a second, my distance from the ground was startling, and I gripped tighter to her fur. Paul walked over, his big nose pressing against the side of my head before moving down to nudge my arm harder into Leah’s fur.
“I don’t want to pull her hair,” I muttered, startling slightly as Leah’s chest rumbled in what almost sounded like a growling laugh. Paul nudged me again, and I held as tightly as I could. Satisfied, he again pressed his snout into the side of my head before moving away as the wolves started to run. I kept my body pressed tightly to Leah’s back, but the feeling of it was exhilarating, almost like flying.
When we came to a slow stop just outside a clearing, I could see cars and people standing around. None of the wolves made any moves to enter the clearing of trees, and I stayed quiet. Paul and Leah were close to the middle of the pack, both farther from the front than anyone else. I assumed it was because they were charged with ensuring my safety, and I was proved right when Sam and the others breached the wall of trees while the three of us stayed just behind them.
Carlisle took a step forward, his face friendly and his posture relaxed. He spoke to the pack kindly, his explanations pleasant as Edward, assuredly, told him what the pack was thinking. The newborns would be here to kill Bella in four days, he said, and my heart clenched.
Eventually, Paul and Leah moved into the clearing with me, and I watched as Jasper turned his back to us and began to explain the newborns to the Cullens and Bella. I listened intently as he spoke, and I wondered how he knew so much about newborn vampires and their fighting style. It sounded like more than just being one once, and I quietly asked Leah if she thought he had been part of a newborn army before. She dipped her head shallowly, and I took it for a nod.
Jasper eventually called Emmett forward, and I was stunned as they began to fight. I knew they were quick, but it was startling to actually see their speed on display. Paul, in particular, seemed rather intent as he watched Emmett fight.
“Tell Paul not to get any ideas about fighting Emmett,” I whispered again to Leah, “He thought Paul was cool, the last time.”
After a moment, Paul huffed and leaned over, nipping lightly at my jacket to tug on the sleeve. I was jostled a little bit before he helped correct my balance, and I snickered.
Alice fought Jasper, showcasing her ability to see the future. An uneasy ripple went through the pack as we watched them, and Edward looked smug as he murmured to Bella. My eyes stuck to my sister, grateful that she was still human. She was so beautiful, full of life as she was.
Bitterly, I wished Edward had never come back. Bella would be eternally hurt by it, but she would heal. She would remain human. My eyes refocused as Edward stepped up to fight Jasper, and I hoped he was knocked on his ass. They fought competitively, almost like Jacob, Quill, and Embry would. When I looked around at said wolves, their intent gazes were set on Edward and Jasper. Jacob especially seemed keen to watch how Edward fought, but Paul and Sam were equally as focused. The vampires made odd snarling sounds as they sparred, almost animalistic but with human vocals. It was disconcerting.
The rest of the vampires sparred against Jasper, and it was interesting to watch. They were beyond fast, and their familiarity with eachother seemed to help only Jasper as he went for their weaknesses. Oddly enough, he was more careful with Esme and Rosalie, slowing down and pulling his punches enough that they weren’t so hurt by them. When he went against Emmett again, though, he was just as vicious as before.
“The pack thinks it would be helpful to be familiar with each of our scents - so they don't make mistakes later. If we could hold very still, it will make it easier for them.” Edward announced, his tone flat. Carlisle agreed easily, and Sam led the way as the pack moved to sniff at the vampires. Leah hesitated for a moment before pushing closer to Paul they made their way over to the Cullens. Sam went from one vampire to the next, followed closely by Jared, then Paul, then Leah and I, then Quill, Seth, and Embry. Collin and Brady followed after some hesitation, and Jacob was last, having diverted from the path to so to Bella.
Emmett watched Paul as he sniffed around him, grinning. Paul moved on before making eye contact with me, his gaze flat as if to say, “See? I can be civil if they can.”
I snorted, shaking my head as Leah moved forward to sniff at him, too. Her hackles had since been raised, and I could almost feel her distaste as she had to familiarize herself with the way the Vampires smelled. They smelled like dust and ashes, if I remembered Paul describing them right.
“Running with werewolves, huh, Y/n?” He asked, raising his hand up for a high-five. Paul snapped his head back over to us, and Leah tensed as she shifted her weight away. Patting her side, I carefully returned Emmett’s high-five.
“Sort of,” I replied, “I’m not as fast as they are, so Leah had to carry me.”
The joke wasn’t all that good, but Emmett laughed easily. He was good natured, I figured, and it seemed to lessen the tension between the Cullens as he interacted with Leah and I kindly. Jacob went back to the forest to change back into his human form, and I was allowed to stand around by Bella while Paul and Leah hovered closely.
I just want to know what he plans to do with you for the fight,” Jacob told Bella as I got within earshot, and Bella looked incredulous.
“Do with me?” She demanded, her brows drawing together. Edward put a hand on her shoulder placating and explained, “You can’t stay in Forks, it would be too obvious.”
“What about Charlie?” She demanded again, then glancing at me and adding, “What about Y/n?”
“He’ll be with my dad,” Jacob supplied, “There’s a game, right? It’s Saturday. As for Y/n…”
He trailed off, and whatever thought he had made Paul snarl. Jacob held his hands up in surrender, winching slightly at whatever response he got in return.
“I was going to stay with Emily at the Reservation,” I answered Bella, but Edward shook his head. I slid my eyes towards him as he began to speak.
“No, you and Bella need to be far away from Forks. Both you and her scents are distinct, especially when I conjunction with mine and the wolves’.” He said, his voice so certain it sounded like facts. I suppose it was, as unhappy as it made me. “We need you two together to ensure you’re safe, and that neither of you go running for the other like with James.”
The name caught my attention, and I snapped my head back to Bella.
“What does that mean?” I asked, my voice painfully calm. She looked white as a ghost as she stuttered out nonsense. Turning back to Edward, I demanded harshly, “What the hell does that mean?”
He looked faux surprised, asking, “You didn’t know?”
“You know damn well I dont know, asshole—” O started, but he shook his head.
“No, actually, I wasn’t sure. You and Bella are equally as difficult for me to hear. Even Charlie’s thoughts are rather dim.” He explained, then added, “But I assumed Bella didn’t tell you. James, the tracker from last year, called Bella from your phone number and pretended that he had you hostage. He used an old recording of your voice, I believe. That’s how he caught Bella.”
I clenched my jaw, my nails biting into my palm as I clenched my fist. I turned an accusatory glare towards my sister, “You never thought to tell me that I was used to lure you into a trap?”
“You didn’t need to know—” she started, and I swore at her.
“Bullshit I didn’t,” I snapped, “That’s the whole reason this crazy bitch is after you now! Her crazy ass boyfriend used my voice to try and kill you, then got killed by Edward, and now she’s after you for revenge!”
Bella tried to speak again, but Jacob cut her off. To Edward, he asked, “We can disguise her scent, right? You can’t smell her around us.”
Edward tilted his head, “That’s right.”
They spoke a bit more, only bits of it verbal. I assumed that Edward was reading minds more than listening to them speak, and it was decided that Jacob would carry Bella around to mess up the trail. For the experiment, I wandered back to Paul and stood close to his chest. Briefly, he turned to press his head to mine before standing straight again.
“I wonder if we could plant Bella’s things in a tent or something, to draw the newborns into it.” I told him, “Maybe put her in clothes Jacob has worn or something, too, since you guys throw off the scent.”
Before he could respond, Bella and Jacob were back and talking to Edward. Leah shifted uneasily before Jacob jogged back towards us, explaining that Seth would be watching Bella while the fight lasted. Before that, though, they would have her walk through the forest to set a trap, then be whisked away to a safe spot. I would be kept with Emily on the Reservation, and one of the others would be assigned to watch us.
I wasn’t very fond of the plan, but it wasn’t up to me. Paul carried me back to the house, running slower than Leah had. Sleepily, I watched the passing scenery before Paul pulled to a stop, letting be walk back to the house while he and the rest of the pack dispersed to change back.

“Sometimes I hold you closer just to know you’re real.”—
Just something I wrote at random. I love Louis fine self so much.
I was selfish with Louis. As he was with me. But we truly couldn’t help it. I indulged in him as if he was my favorite chocolate during the holidays. From simple glances to throes of passion his form was committed to my memory.
“ we have to leave the bed at some point darling.”
He whispered in my ear. Our essence tangled within the sheets, I cuddled to him closer “ no we don’t, we can stay here forever.”
Louis laughed deeply. His smile always touched his eyes. “ yea we can but I have business to take care of sugar, and that little one inside of you is going to be needing food soon. Now let’s get up so I can feed my girls.” He gently smiled.
How are you so sure it’s a girl ? I asked with a giggle
“Saw it in my dream. A little baby girl sat on my lap and called me papa.” He said sweetly
Well if it is a girl what we naming her ?
“Claudia, we’ll name her Claudia.” He responded
I smiled. I like that name.
There are things I have yet to know about Louis De pointe Du lac. He’s given me bits and pieces of himself and slowly I’ve been able to put together the puzzle. It’s been quite a journey.
“You gonna be gone long Lou? “. I needed to know if his business would have him out all night again.
“I’ll be home in just 2 hours Cleo. Don’t worry about me. “
“I can’t help but to worry” I mumbled
“It’s not good for the baby, I’ll be back sooner than you think.”
After making a quick meal, Louis gave me and my tummy a kiss before embedding himself into the darkness once more.
That night i heard Louis stumble in. I kept my eyes shut tight. Whatever demons he’d been fighting I pray they do not find their way to my doorstep. Louis had trouble in the past, he was honest about that, but it didn’t ease my nerves when he came waltzing in here after midnight.
“ Cleo ? You awake baby “ his thick New Orleans accent rang through the quiet room.
“Yea I am.” My voice was small, I wasn’t afraid of Louis but there was a shift in the air and that unnerved me.
“ Cleo baby girl we’re going way for a bit, i don’t have much time to explain. I’m packing our things just please get dressed.” His voice was frantic.
I didn’t ask questions. Because I knew Lou. He didn’t fear anything. Not even death itself. So whatever spooked him, was serious. I scrambled out of bed and began to throw on anything. After getting dressed we walked out of our home.
I seen 2 figures waiting for us. As I got closer I seen one blonde white man and the other of Indian descent. Their eyes travelled to Louis and I felt my legs want to give out. They looked at my Louis the way I did, and when their eyes reached me ?
Well, death seemed easier. I could just feel the earth begin to swallow me whole and—
“Cut that shit out Lestat. Don’t you dare invade her mind.” Louis spat
A smirk played on the blondes lips. “ of course “
We entered the car, as we pulled off lestat decided to make small talk
“ so any baby names” I didn’t miss the venom in his tone as if I was beneath him. Like I wasn’t worthy
“ Claudia. Right Lou ? “
I felt Louis hold me tighter. He kissed my temple and smiled.
“ yea, Claudia”
The car grew silent.
The tension began to choke me
I’d follow Louis anywhere but for the first time, in his arms was the last place I wanted to be. “ please dont say that.” louis whispered.
“Hmph. Well I am Lestat the man next to me is Armand we are old friends of your boyfriend. “
“Husband. We’re married.” I corrected him
We came to an abrupt stop.
“ Lestat keep driving. Please. “ mumbled Armand
I watched the blonde man rush out the car, to stand on the side of the road. Suddenly he doubled over and vomited.
“Dramatic.” Armand muttered.
“Is he okay” I asked with concern. Armand looked back to me then Louis then rolled his eyes
“Ask your husband.” Louis sat back with his eyes closed.
“ just sit back cleo and take a nap. You and the baby need rest.” My mind whispered.
I felt myself lean back and drift off.
OMNISCIENT POV
Armand watched Louis through the mirror.
“ don’t say anything to me” Louis spoke,
“You love her I can see that.” Armand responded curtly.
“Yea. Yea I do.” Louis ran a hand down his face.
“Be honest with her “
“I’m trying”
“She’s in a car with 3 of the undead. You’re not trying hard enough”
Please lay off this. Louis spoke into his old lover’s mind
Lestat entered the car eyes red and voice gravely.
“This was a mistake. But it is too late I suppose.” He took a pause. “Is she aware of what grows inside of her? “
“It’s a regular human child”. Louis responded wearily.
“Oh ! So that’s why we’re taking a road-trip, you’re afraid.” Lestat shook his head and focused back on the road.
Louis looked to Cleo eyes brimming with tears.
“I am. He whispered. I’ve never been more afraid.”
