Is the Mystic Messenger fandom still alive? Just curious.

I used to be extremely into Mystic Messenger back in like 2017 when it was popular. A friend and I were both super into it, and despite never spending any actual money on the game I played it so much that I unlocked almost all of the content, and tried to get as many endings as I could. 707 was my fav if anyone cares. ❤️💛

Eventually the interest fizzled out and it was just taking up too much space on my phone. But recently I watched a few YouTube “deep dive” type videos on Mystic Messenger and ended up feeling really nostalgic for it, that I ended up redownloading the game and continuing my quest to get all of the endings.

It makes me really happy that the app still works well and Cheritz still seems to do regular updates to take care of bugs (though I believe that there aren’t going to be any more significant content updates… Don’t quote me on that though). But considering how almost every other nostalgic mobile game either no longer works or sucks absolute ASS with ads and whatnot, it’s nice that Mystic Messenger has stayed both good quality and accessible all these years!

Anyway… Since it’s been quite a while since the peak of the games popularity I’m not surprised that the fandom doesn’t seem to be as prevalent as it used to be, but I also wonder if anyone else is feeling a similar nostalgia to me/if the fandom is still alive at all. Especially since Mystic Messenger will be coming up on its 10 year anniversary in 2026 (which is absolutely wild to me).

Regardless, this game will always have a special place in my heart and I wanted to talk about it so… Excuse the fact that this was kind of a ramble of a post and pretty unrelated to the fandoms that I’ve been posting about more recently.

He looks away from you a lot, feeling slightly insecure about his eye, but you always find a way to make him feel like the most handsome man in the world.

He has clammy hands 😭

Study dates (even if you're not a student)

Getting distracted really easily during said study dates, so they during into normal hangout sessions lol

Yoosung taking you to conventions!! You'll have to train him to get good at taking pics of you and ppl with cool cosplay fits. (Or even your own cosplay)

Not even going to lie, Seven boarders being negligent and also a handful. It slightly gives you whiplash the first year of dating but once you help him with his work habits, it'll get better 👍👍.

He's not intentionally negligent at all!! He just gets really busy work and will hyperfocus on it. His thought process is that the fewer breaks he takes, the quicker it'll get done, but it'll end up in him accidentally ignoring you for a day.

He's good at apologies and making things up to you. There's never a dull moment with Saeyoung!!

Like Yoosung, he's a chronic reel sender, but it's cursed brain rot shit. He'll pout if you don't like each one just to mess with you.

He loves to take you on rides in his cars 🤭 especially if you're dressed up really cute. He feels like he might combust from joy. His lovely gf, and cool ass cars. 10/10 activity.

Okay so there's a venn diagram of Jumin and Yoosung when it comes to the reader being their first love. Yoosung is pathetic and cute, Jumin is "nonchalant"....... However, in the middle, they are both so serious from day one in "dating to marry" 😭. Yoosung is a bit more blind puppy love with it, whereas I don't think Jumin would date anyone without seriously wanting to marry them later on.

Tldr: Jumin's feelings toward the relationship itself is intense.

I feel like it would realistically be a slow roll to him being needy. He would want to be responsible but also loving so he'll take you on nice, fancy dates. But after the first few it slightly sucks the intimacy from the dates.

He would feel it in himself because he would end up feeling unsatisfied after the dates, but he'll also notice slight disappointment from you after the same cookie cutter fancy restaurant date. He just needs more of you, and that idea slightly worries him.

Not that he thinks it's a bad thing he just doesn't want to be a freak 💀 for a lack of better words.

A girls day with just You and Jaehee would be rare, but they would happen! Jaehee works hard, her main focus in life is her work if that's in the Cafe with you or with Jumin I'll let you decide but when you two do get a day off together you spend it well!

Jaehee doesn't always eat well, she tends to let it slip her mind until late into the evenings when she no longer has the energy to cook - her main meals are from convenience stores and takeaways. You would make it your mission to make sure she had enough to eat for the week when you meet, taking around multiple Tupperware containers of homemade cooking - no matter how good your cooking is Jaehee would be delighted. The simple thought that went into you cooking and preparing food for her really touched her heart, and when she had time she made sure to make you something sweet in return.

If you wanted too, you could easily spend the day talking with one of ZENS musicals in the background, Jaehee knows all the words to them so occasionally you'll see her singing along - a small mutter and smile on her lips. You can't help but stare, hoping to not embarrass her too much but no one can blame you. She seems so happy, so content that you wouldn't believe how much stress she faces everyday!

Looking to go out? Jaehee knows all the best spots for a simple walk, near the duck ponds and through a field of flowers - the smells and sights are mesmerising and you slowly get her to open up about her work life. Thinking of JaeheeMC where MC wants a cat (shes a cat lover) but esp a sphynx cat cuz she doesnt want jaehee to clean cat fur again and stress her out. The sphynx cat also eventually makes jaehee his favourite person (yeah its a boy bald kitty) and acts territorial with her by hissing at mc whenever she comes close to jaehee esp when he is making biscuits on jaehee.

Your approach to getting a pet was as responsible as can be. Jaehee merely laughs, and you hate how unfailingly sweet that sound is, making you want to pull her close to your chest and nuzzle her hair. But you can't, and that's because a particularly clingy cat has already beaten you to it. Which is just even more frustrating.

Your pout is becoming more and more apparent as you huff at that, crossing your arms over your chest defiantly.

"-Well, maybe I wanna cuddle up to you on your lap as well!" You declare loudly, sending Beans an annoyed glance that he responds with a smug slow blink that made you want to scream. That little guy was perfectly aware of what he was doing and was completely unrepentant about it!

Of course, that doesn't mean that you didn't adore Beans with all your heart.

You two were simply too attached to Jaehee for your own good. Which was quickly confirmed, once you tried to scoot in close to your girlfriend, only to receive an annoyed growl from the comfy feline. With a defeated sigh, you plop back onto the couch, your head hanging low.

"...You do remember that he's just a cat, right?" Jaehee lightly boops you with the tip of her finger, causing your nose to scrunch up a bit.
