For anyone confused as to why #cwspnisoverparty is trending on twitter right now... I wanted to make this post so that people have hopefully somewhat of a clear understanding as to why it’s trending over at Twitter. Personally I don’t think it’s anything new, but hope this will help to lessen any anixety. It’s not fun for ANYONE to see a negative hashtag for their favourite show.

It apparently started when @thejimmichaels​ (Producer/Director) posted the picture of Jared and Jensen’s chairs, and Misha was left out. Which I did find frustrating but put it down to the whole mystery of whether Castiel was to be in the episodes or not. Or he wanted to show the two leads who has been in SPN since the pilot. (Still feel Misha shouldn’t have been left out after 12 years on the show)

Then @jasonfischer77 (production coordinator) posted the SOTD/QOTD:

(Personally, I feel the past SOTD/QOTD choices HAVE been very... suggestive. Especially when it comes to hinting Destiel (featuring songs that are well known for being ‘Destiel Songs’ etc) so it seems they are giving us mixed messages? They would know what these songs mean to us, that’s not something you could ignore after practically 12 years of people shipping Destiel. They use social media a lot - they know.) This SOTD is apparently chosen by @emmafpeterson (1st Assistant Production Office Coordinator on Supernatural) who hyped people up beforehand with this tweet:

Obviously the choice of song (’The Night We Met’) exploded in the fandom, as it is a very dear song for a lot of fans, a song that for a lot of us, we relate to Destiel in particular. It prompted a tweet from one of Emma’s friends (not sure what her involvement is with SPN):

A strange choice of song for friendships, IMO. She seems surprised people are interpreting the song for what it is, a romantic song. People feel it is quite dismissive, mocking those of us who got our hopes up, for over-reaching. Emma seems to confirm it’s about these friends by retweeting:

And now #cwspnisoverparty is trending. A lot of tweets are by fans who are simply so fed up of Misha being left out, for queerbaiting and how the LGBTQ+ community has been treated, all the misleading messages etc and more, do let me know if I have missed anything. Like a friend said to me and I agree... I personally feel that it is too early for people to get angry. We should take everything with a pinch of salt - NO one knows what is going to happen, there has been nothing confirmed.

hey! do u happen to know if anyone has all the qotd whiteboards organized in one place? im trying to figure out when a particular episode was filmed!

Hi there! Depending on what season (I assume a recent episode?), I might have that info on my blog under episode tags. Any posts about filming dates, or behind the scenes stuff linked to a specific episode will be there. I tag all episodes with the format “spn 15.18″

Just replace the episode number with the one you’re looking for, and then paste this into a browser tab:

(chrono helps, because it shows the earliest posts in a given tag first, which will be production-related posts, and at least give you a range on filming dates, if nothing else. Filming on most episodes lasts 8 weekdays, with no filming on certain holidays or weekends, so it’s usually not too difficult to make a general calculation once you have one relevant date to pin it to).

I only vaguely remember who archived the whiteboards, because most of the time I was only interested in them for the filming dates anyway... it was Jason Fischer on twitter who tweeted them out every day, and you might try just scrolling through his media tweets here. The final QOTD post from September 10 is still only like the third tweet down... https://twitter.com/JasonFischer77/media

lol no they didn’t actually play “angel with a shotgun” in an episode (could you imagine the reaction if they did though), but a member of the crew (jason fischer - jasonfischer77 on twitter) would post pictures of a board that listed what scene numbers they were filming that day. along with a song of the day and a quote of the day that i guess they were using for inspiration.

so for one of the filming days of 15x19 they had “angel with a shotgun” which EVEN I remember from my spn days like a decade ago was a destiel song. so people were like 👀 since it is a love song and we were all wondering if cas/misha was coming back. and well you know what happened there. the same thing happened with “the night we met” and 15x20. it was all just a lot of weird sotd choices and false hope 😔
