i think for my au most of the batman stories and gadgets that are a little too stupid and goofy arent exactly canon but they still exist because dick just makes them up when telling stories to fuck with people but theres still a chance he is actually telling the truth and some of them DID happen it can be a fun guessing game

idk i just keep thinking about him telling some crazy ass story and then at the end he just drops some dumb shit with a straight face like "so obviously he took out the shark repellent," <- the plot twist is shark repellent WAS a true story(/j(maybe))

I was reading a cute, well-written fic about Dick and young Jason bonding during a thunderstorm at the manor while Bruce and Alfred were away. It was great; I was loving it. But then the doorbell rang while Dick and Jason were watching TV. Dick opens it, and there stands Tim f*cking Drake, shivering and soaking wet, with his stupid big eyes, acting all small and pathetic like, “Excuse me, I lost my way home. Do you mind if I stay? 🥺” WHY WAS HE THERE?!?THERE WAS NO TIM DRAKE TAG I MADE SURE!?!?Then I reread the tags and saw ” surprise character at the end 🤭.” I’m losing it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s living in my walls.
