16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them

Really just the sequels to existing fics like A Master’s Gift and Ahsoka’s Ruminations. One idea I have for A Master’s Gift is I’ll get into flashbacks about how the Barrissoka break up went down to explain why their dynamic is the way it is in the last chapter.

40. If someone were to make fanart of your work what fic or scene would you hope to see?

I would love to see fanart of Ahsoka’s Ruminations with one of the hallucinations maybe when Barriss hallucination shows up cuz angst ahoy.

But I would especially love fanart of Luminara and Barriss in A Master’s Gift when they reunite in the afterlife. Also Ahsoka threatening Lyn would be fun 🤣 aiming her lightsaber at her throat all angy, Lyn terrified, and Barriss rolling her eyes.

46. How would you describe your style? (Character, emotion, action driven, etc.)

Character and emotion driven I would say. Like my fics are often born from any character tension I can feel and want to exploit in a way that canon for some reason wasted.

55. Of the characters you write for, which has been your favorite? Has that choice been swayed at all by your followers’/readers’ reactions to certain ones?

Barriss is my favorite because she is just so complex though Ahsoka is a close second because I love giving her more depth than canon ever will.

An unexpected pleasure to write has been Luminara though. She’s challenging in a fun way and I make myself laugh writing her mominara shennanigans.

I don’t think my choices have been swayed thus far. I have my favorites and I stick with them. Though my wife has definitely made me enjoy writing for Luminara since the majority of my interpretation of her comes from there.

The wife's post of ages my friends. You expressed what I have been struggling to express since I never thought they'd actually acknowledge our fave Star Wars lady. I am especially shocked they actually characterized Barriss accurately.

I truly believe that Darth Felonious saw your posts abt wanting to fight him in a Denny's parking lot plus the army of lesbians he pissed off with The Wrong Jedi arc and backpedaled and thank fuck for that.

I loved reacting to this long awaited story with you. The moments when we cheered, her affirming herself a Jedi, her lezzy hair, her Lumi-like behavior as a Master. The way we basically cried at her distress sensing Order 66.

But also the way our jaws dropped at the end because what the hell.

I just loved reacting to it with you (fun fact, we saw Devotion in the Rise of the Resistance cue at Disneyland 🤣)

Tales of the Empire Thoughts (Mostly About Barriss)

I know I’m a little late to the party in terms of laying out my thoughts on Tales of the Empire but honestly I needed a few days to process and digest what happened (not to mention being on vacation delayed that process as well). Obviously as a Barriss stan/fanfic writer/blogger y’all know that those episodes were the upmost priority for me and I will be rewatching those episodes on repeat like no other since it’s been far too long since Barriss has had her time to shine. 

The majority of this post will be centered around those specific episodes because I’m just gonna just go ahead and say that the Morgan Elsbeth episodes were boring and didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know about the character. Also the bullshit reasoning as to why Morgan doesn’t obviously look Dathomiran is so dumb in that my brain will malfunction if I think about it too much. If the “magic going away” thing was true then how do you explain Merrin and Ventress who still have power and retain their clear Dathomiran appearance? Either way, there is no way Darth Felonious could explain his “logic” to me there because it is all too clear that Morgan was never meant to be Dathomiran in the first place. She was just a bad lady with a spear and that’s that. Love the actress, but the character is just lame. Furthermore, it is so clear that the hat man knows absolutely nothing about Thrawn and I’m not even a Thrawn stan but why even if the guy involved if he just says a few words and leaves? Now before y’all come for me, yes I’m aware these episodes are shorts and the time is precious but to me they could have dedicated more time into explaining to me why Morgan is so loyal to Thrawn. Her reasoning for wanting to join the Empire is empty too in that the Separatists that annihilated her race is now the Empire so…to me that’s not enough reasoning for Morgan to be so dedicated. The only parts that had me engaged were the Grevious bits which were both beautiful and frightening at the same time.

Now onto the meat which is the Barriss arc which has me both elated and frustrated at the same time. Let’s begin with the stuff I absolutely love.

1.) Barriss proving herself to not be committed to the Dark Side/Empire is a huge win for me and other Barriss super fans who have been preaching this for over a decade. We knew from the moment the trailer came out that Barriss was just going to do what it took to survive and even though she was forced into doing things she really did not want to do, she stayed true to herself and escaped before it was too late. The light in her never left nor did it ever leave her and I just know that Luminara would have been so proud of her. Barriss constantly questioning the Grand Inquisitor and the Fourth Sister had me smiling because that is just Barriss. She will always question things that seem off and will defend her beliefs and values no matter what the danger to herself may be. The line of reclaiming her position of a Jedi is my absolute favorite line and gave me all the feels I get whenever Luke tells Palpatine that he is a Jedi like his father. On a final note, I loved that she showed genuine concern/fear for what was happening to the Jedi when Order 66 was happening and demanded an answer. 

2.) Barriss being a healer and a protector. It is so satisfying to see it canon on screen that Barriss remains to be a healer after years of being obsessed with the Legends Medstar lore. I absolutely loved that Barriss took off her mask to the terrified boy in the village and protected him against the Fourth Sister’s unnecessary wrath only to save the non-binary (yay representation!) Jedi from death later that day. It all just makes me so happy to get that validation that Barriss has always had a big heart which makes her stand out from other Jedi in my opinion. 

3.) Barriss sporting that lesbian pixie cut with the adorable laugh/smile lines and being a healer in the mountains helping Force sensitive and the sick/injured just makes my day. It warms my heart to see Barriss be at peace and doing so much good after so much pain and trauma from her past. Though I do miss her hood and would like to see a head covering on her again. Also doing the math, Barriss should be in her thirties during the third episodes so why did they age her up so much? I’ve heard the theory of the Force healing taking her life force but damn Luminara was in her late thirties during the Clone Wars and she had like nothing 😅 One other note that makes me smile is that Barriss is referred to as a “wise mother” and that’s just everything.  Also she looks and acts like just like Luminara they truly could be mother and daughter it’s so sweet 💚💙

4.) Barriss defeating an Inquisitor without a weapon of her own and catching a blade with the Force is so fucking badass, I could re-watch that sequence on repeat forever. 

5.)The vague Ahsoka mention had my Barrissoka heart exploding. I demand an animated Barrissoka show immediately. 

Now here are the bits that have me frustrated and I demand that Darth Felonious fixes them later.

1.) The lack of closure between Barriss and Ahsoka/Luminara. Barriss hurt a lot of people from her actions but at the very least it would be nice to see her repair the damage she inflicted on the people closest to her. We never saw anything in regards to Luminara’s reaction to the bombing and knowing what gruesome fate awaits her in Rebels, I was so hoping the two would meet again, make amends before Luminara inevitably sacrificed herself as a final act of love and forgiveness for her Padawan. As for Ahsoka…if the two are able to work together in the future, could we at least see how exactly that came to be? I’m personally growing tired of major developments happening off-screen and we as an audience are just expected to roll with it. Again I’m aware these are shorts, but why do they have to be shorts? Why can’t we just delete the boring Morgan episodes and get like a movie or limited series on this exact journey? 

2.) The return of yet another ambiguous ending for Barriss. I am a firm believer that Barriss is alive granted that people seem to get stabbed all the time in Star Wars and they get to live so why not Barriss? I understand what they’re doing with Barriss getting through to the Fourth Sister to show us that Barriss has come full circle in her journey from dark to light, however since I’m forced to believe that Barriss had some sort of relationship with this random Inquisitor pre-Empire instead of someone who did have a significant relationship to her, it falls flat for me and it enrages me that if Barriss were to die from this….well I just don’t have words for that. So now I’m wondering if I’m going to have to wait another 10 years to get answers. Thank the Force for fanfic and fanart to get me through. 

3.) Does Barriss even know what the Empire did her Master? Because… I feel that’s another huge story thats being missed here. Ahsoka was able to get some closure with Anakin, why can’t Barriss have the same with Luminara? 

4.) Never getting anything in terms of what pushed Barriss to bomb the Jedi temple in the first place. That’s my biggest beef with the original Clone Wars series since we see no development as to how Barriss goes from a kind gifted Padawan healer to mastermind of a terror plot. That could a book or show on its own. 

5.) Star Wars continuing to miss what a satisfying redemption arc is. Not only do we need to understand what got a character to do the crime(s) but we need to see the growth that comes from it. That’s what makes the Obi-Wan Kenobi show so good to me is that I now know how Obi-Wan grew from RotS to where we meet him in ANH. I would love to see the same for Barriss, because you just know she’s been on very spiritual/emotional journey to get to where she was at the end of the show. 

6.) Why was Vader even in this? Given the history Barriss and Anakin share, it is incredible that nothing happened between them post ROTS. And this is like fresh Vader still full of grief and anger by what’s happened so I doubt seeing Barriss even as an Inquisitor initiate would be anymore soothing. I just don’t understand…what a waste. Something more epic and cathartic could have come out of that interaction.

Well I’m done ranting for now, I’m curious to know what your guy’s thoughts are. Otherwise my brain is buzzing with fanfic story ideas and I’ll be getting back on the writing horse as I re-Watch the Barriss episodes into oblivion.

6. Opinion on canon and/or fanon use of the secret child trope? Discuss

I don't mind it. The secret child can be a good trope if the context is right for it. I mean Star Wars is centered on secret child trope pretty much. Where I'm not so into it is the Korkie headcanon that he is Obi Wan and Satine's son. It's a bit too crackhead for me and also it's not my ship so I'm biased against it.

12. Name a common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing.

Anything about Rey tbh. I may not be a big sequels person but anytime the fandom tries reduce her to an overpowered female Luke and say she's unoriginal I roll my eyes.

Like they are nothing alike. Luke got to live comfortably taken care of by his aunt and uncle. He never had to scavage scraps just to be able to eat. And before anyone comes for me, I'm NOT ripping on Luke. He had what anyone should have.

What I'm saying is Rey didn't get to have guardians or a comfortable house or regularly even be able eat. She was abandoned and did what she had to to survive. As for the overpowered thing like she's able to fly ships or fight back, like come on. I repeat, she. was. a. scavanger. She got to know ship parts and as for fighting, she's had to fight dickheads like Teedo and probably worse to keep food, homes, etc. After rewatching TFA, i notice she learns from OBSERVATION. She mimics what others do around. This is a survival skill she had her whole life.

Of course Luke is going to take a little more time to learn things. He was never put in that situation where it was do or die (as any child shouldn't). Rey was and however fast she was at learning a skill is a result of basic survival instincts.

She and Luke ENTIRELY different characters and to say she's a female version of him cuz she's from a desert????? Reductive and a big lack in media literacy tbh.

14. What's the most egregious example of fridging in canon?

God which one? 😅 Fridging is probably one of Star Wars biggest crimes. Leia is the first that comes to mind because she died to redeem her piece of shit son that she did not deserve.

But then again, Anakin's turn to the dark side is also due to fridging with his mother and his wife. Especially with Padme since there's an old version where she actually gets to live a little bit longer with the Rebellion and tried to kill Anakin.

I may not be a big Satine person, but that's fridging too to give Obi Wan angst and more Maul animosity.

I'm still going to say Leia in the sequels though as the most egregious. Because it was so out of nowhere (yes I'm aware that Carrie's death was probably the reason but I don't care. There are better ways to kill off/write out a character than fridging). Her death served no purpose other than Kyle Ron no accountability. Like what in "Jesus died for our sins" is this bullshit? Why must Star Wars' most iconic woman have to go out for a man that did nothing but hurt and betray her? It's insulting tbh.

Edit: Luminara's death was fucking awful too. Like ain't no reason to have it be so horrific. Sigh... can Star Wars like not hate women for once.

21. Best canon example of a healthy relationship in Star Wars

Romantically that is a tough one. Honestly I'm coming up short with this one. Can't say Han and Leia cuz we only see their rocky start and end and nothing in between.

Maybe Kanan and Hera but their relationship kinda got ruined for me when suddenly at the end, he wasnt aware if Hera felt the same about him??? I just thought they were basically married and I'm supposed to be believe they haven't even had that conversation by THAT point in time??? Plus the ghost baby thing creeped me the fuck out. Can Star Wars please stop with the out of nowhere pregnancies please?

So yeah canon romances, nothing comes to mind. In fact Star Wars is kind of built on toxic romance.

❤️ Which character do you think is egregiously mischaracterized by the fandom?

The Mirialan ladies Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee one thousand percent. The way they have been demonized beyond reason is just so ridiculous and unfair to them.

I'm also going to say Ki Adi Mundi because I've seen takes that rip him to shreds for absolutely no reason. He barely has screen time and in the time we see him he's always polite and humorous. Yet the fandom thinks he's a "psycopath" for some reason though there's no where in Legends or Canon to back that.

🧡 What is a popular (serious) theory you disagree with?

That Barriss will kill Luminara in Tales of the Empire. Just nope, no matter how bad things can get, she would never.

💛 What is a popular ship you just can't get behind and why?

This will def be controversial but Anidala. The way I see it these were people who just weren't ready for that kind of commitment for each other. Which of course is the point of the prequels to me and they are intentionally not a great couple.

💜 Which character is way hotter than everyone else seems to think?

Asajj Ventress. Like everyone comments on the bald but she is a tall glass of water on hot day and can beat anyone's ass. But yeah especially in universe she gets a lot of insults to her looks and even if it's meant to throw her off and isnt serious, I feel like it has affected how fandom sees her appearance.

Though of course there are always Hot Ventress truthers out there (NOT the ones who only just realized it when she got hair and updated animation in Bad Batch)

I'd like to once again thank you for introducing me to Kenduli because my god they are hot together and I didn't expect it to be this fun to answer but this was truly a surprise joy for me 🥰

1.) How did they each fall in love?

Obi Wan always had a crush on Luminara since he was a young lad in the same creche as her but he was always too shy to say something. He assumed she didn't feel the same since she was probably too "cool" for him.

Luminara also had a crush on Obi Wan since the beginning and she tried all the flirting however Obi Wan was too oblivious to pick up on it. She probably would have straight up told him but I think that probably got stunted when (and what I'm about to say is my headcanon) she lost her Master. The death of Master Katri probably was so consuming she just didn't have the energy to think of romance anymore.

This in turn would reinforce Obi Wan's belief that she didn't feel the same for him and being a good caring person and Jedi, he put his feelings aside to comfort her as a friend.

Unfortunately by the time Luminara was able to heal and felt comfortable enough again to tell him how she felt, that's when Obi Wan met Satine so she assumed he only cared for her platonically or whatever interest she may have sensed earlier in him, he moved on and she was too late.

2.) Who would confess first and how?

Luminara would confess first and I feel like it happened at some point during The Approaching Storm just given the chemistry and events of the book. I mean they promised to take care of the other's Padawan so they clearly had some intense interactions between the lines and scenes.

I mean a mission that forces them to spend prolonged time together sleeping right next to each other? That's prime romantic potential right there. So I feel like in one of the moments their Padawans were both preoccupied with something, they'd get to talking in the infamous tent and Luminara would let it slip that she had a crush on him growing up.

Obi Wan would be so shocked at this and in turn reveal he also had a crush on her. And the interaction would go something like this and it would all be spoken a little heatedly given their surprise how long they've had to hold back:

Obi Wan: "Well why didn't you tell me?! All those years, I thought you only saw me as a friend!"

Luminara: "And I thought you only saw me as a friend!"

(Suddenly both realize how close their faces have gotten)

Luminara: "We are good friends, aren't we?..."

Obi Wan: "Yes... very good friends..."

(They both start furiously making out)

7.) What's a typical date night for them?

I feel like Obi Wan would always have flowers and a "hello there" to start their dates and they're both all dressed up to go somewhere fancy like a restaurant with a private booth or the theatre which usually ends in one of their rooms in the Temple.

In the more casual version they'd probably stay in and cook together just enjoying each other's company while they can.

15.) How would they express their affection for each other?

They both ADORE using cute titles for each other like "darling," "dear," "love," etc.

Obi Wan is THE gentleman and will always open the door, pull up a chair, all that stuff for his lady. He would also be big on words of affirmation and always reminding her how amazing she is because he knows she needs to hear it.

Luminara would give Obi Wan gifts and souvenirs from her missions. She definitely would give him something significant to Mirialan culture that is some kind of sign of love and commitment. Food is also a love language for her so she def would feed him much like Barriss would for Ahsoka.

16.) How would they comfort each other?

With Obi Wan, like I said he would try to use words to validate her but he also knows that sometimes there are no words so he would just check on her and take care of her, makes sure she's eating, etc. until she's ready to talk about it. Luminara suffers in silence for the most part so lots of holding her for sure.

Luminara would be his safe space for him to cry and express his feelings. She'd just listen and hold him. She'd struggle to not go out there and beat the crap out of whoever caused this. But she'd know that he needs to just spill what he's feeling without feeling judged so she'd let him feel it all.

43.) What does Luminara think of Obi Wan's past relationship with Satine and Ventress being flirty with him?

With Satine, Luminara for the most part just feels really hurt that she missed her chance with Obi Wan. She understands why Obi Wan would still care about Satine years later but also is frustrated because she knows it was not a healthy relationship for Obi Wan. Luminara does still feel bits of jealousy come up and just does not like her.

And if Luminara doesnt like Satine, she FUCKING HATES Ventress's flirtiness with Obi Wan 🤣 nothing gets her straight to big mad faster than the thought of that bog witch throwing her skirt at Obi Wan.

Onscreen of course I have to mention the "strategic planning," basically the entire Legacy of Terror despite Obi Wan's questionable choices of negotiation 🤣 I do love how worried he got when seeing her holo of her getting captured like the man banged on the table in fear for her 🥺

Also The Approaching Storm is basically the Kenduli bible. But I flipped through some pages for examples and it will explain my headcanons above are the way they are:

Ahsoka

1.) How did she find her Kyber crystal(s)?

So the first time she had to have had gone with her creche led by Yoda I imagine. I think the Illum cave would only show her the Kyber after she learned to slow down and not let her anxieties rush her. I say this because this is a consistent issue for early seasons Ahsoka where she is very impulsive.

For her second Kyber crystal, she had to have gone to Illum with Anakin. I think Ahsoka did not expect to need another crystal because I feel like it was Anakin's observation as a teacher that she was best suited to Jar Kai (dual wielding). It is possible Ahsoka became insecure at her Master deciding she needed a second blade like maybe she wasn't doing good enough with one even though that's not at all what he meant. So I feel like the crystal would present itself to her when she learns to accept that it's ok to use a different style than is the most common and traditional. That she isn't any less a skilled Jedi because she is better with two lightsabers (which would mean a lot to me personally as someone who always needed extra help in school).

9.) Their favorite memory with their Master

I feel like her favorite memory with Anakin would be anytime he teaches her about mechanics given she's mentioned it a few times in Clone Wars namely when she fixes her comm on Geonosis.

I chose this because given what we learned in Tales of the Jedi of how Anakin trained her, these memories of combat training may be confusing and stressful. She probably would turn to a different activity they did together for good memories.

I feel like she also gets nostalgic just remembering when Anakin and Obi Wan bickered like siblings while she just rolled her eyes.

21.) Their greatest challenge

Ahsoka in my opinion really really desperately needs to work on letting go of her guilt and insecurities. She has a tendency to feel responsible for things beyond her control which really gets out of control with Darth Vader.

She just never feels good enough and questions every decision she makes and that only gets worse when she realizes the man who taught her turned to the dark side.

50.) Something in canon about them you reject

The Ahsoka show so far. I'm sorry but I just don't like story or the interpretation of her character at that point in time. She just doesn't feel the same to me anymore. She feels so watered down and just not how the Ahsoka from Clone Wars and even Rebels would act.

2.) Why did she build her lightsaber hilt the way she did?

Barriss's hilt is pretty simple so I feel like she built it for practicality. Plus as a healer, she isnt one for fighting so she wouldnt put as much thought into a weapon. There are some similiarities to Luminara's lightsaber so that's definitely a tribute. I also notice that the metal of saber isnt as shiny as most lightsabers. Maybe it's for stealth, or maybe it's a lighter metal to carry, possibly native to her planet if we wanna get sentimental.

Her blade would be blue because Barriss's number one priority is to protect above all. I just love how her lightsaber hilt looks because it's so symmetrical and seems pleasant and easy to hold. The bit of gold at the top is just enough to make it stand out and a lovely tribute to her Master.

38.) Their favorite place in the Jedi Temple

The archives cuz she's a nerd 🤣 seriously though, I think reading and learning stimulates her in a way she needs and is a comfort for her when she's anxious.

42.) What's something she'll never forget?

Sorry for the angst but the Geonosis Arena. That changed everything for her. She saw so many fellow Jedi killed and that was so traumatizing for her, she just couldn't be on the battle field again for a long while according to the canon short story.

The happier answer is Luminara just being the bestest Master and also the moment she realized she has feelings for Ahsoka.

43.) If she could talk to any deceased Jedi, who would it be and why?

I'm gonna give the obvious answer with Luminara and I feel like she would need to say everything she wish she could have told her when she was alive. Especially to free Luminara from any sense of guilt she may have regarding how the war affected Barriss.

10.) Her favorite memory with her Padawan

I think it would be watching Barriss build her lightsaber like in the 2003 series. She would be so proud of Barriss I know it.

I also think there are many moments in The Approaching Storm of watching Barriss just having fun. I think she and Anakin basically have a splash fight in a river. Also Luminara would definitely be so proud of Barriss's lightsaber dance. I can see her looking back on these memories after the Clone Wars began wishing it were like that again.

16.) Who are her best friends and how did she meet them?

Obi Wan and Quinlan since I think they're close in age. They'd meet as young Padawans maybe sparring. She probably bested Obi Wan and he was just all blushy which Quinlan def teased him for. 46.) Your favorite headcanon about her

That she hates Ventress with unreasonable fury 🤣 also that she and Obi Wan are in love and she was a naughtier Padawan.

The reason for that last bit is I headcanon Katri to be her first Master but she sadly was killed as we saw in Tales of the Jedi while Luminara would still be pretty young so she'd probably struggle with that grief. It's also why I feel like Dooku might have a soft spot for Luminara because he respected her Master and avenged her. But I feel like Luminara had to have struggled with the dark side as a teenager as a result of all this.

49.) Her greatest moment

That one bit in a comic where she kicks a pebble at a giant and it knocks him the fuck out looking like she just doesn't have time for this nonsense 🤣

Onscreen, I'd say in Cloak of Darkness, when she was willing to admit she made a mistake about Ventress to Ahsoka. It's so rare to see authority figures be so humble and admit a mistake. It really shows how wonderful and kind and soft she is. It shows why she is to me one of the greatest Jedi.

5.) Her favorite thing about being a Jedi

Being a Jedi would feel like coming home for Leia. Because she has always felt the Force though she didn't know it. Being a Jedi would feel like reuniting with an old childhood friend. It would remind her of how Bail and Breha raised her to be kind and never let cruelty prevail.

14.) How does she like to meditate?

I feel like she'd prefer isolation. I think she'd levitate because we see Rey doing that so I imagined she learned it from her. I think Leia would also meditate while holding onto a trinket from Alderaan because she'd need something to fidget with. And as a woman of action, meditating would be hard for her so she'd need an object to take out any energy with.

39.) If she were to enter an ancient temple, what would she see?

Since ancient temples love to fuck with Force sensitives, Leia would probably see Darth Vader morphing between that form and Anakin since I feel like he's her worst nightmare. She's afraid if she has any bit of him in her because of genetics so he'd taunt her abt that.

48.) A crack headcanon about her

Leia has the biggest potty mouth and it's a fucking problem. She has def slipped some cuss words in places she REALLY should not. Yes she has all the royal and political training but piss her off enough and the entire senate will hear exactly how she feels. Tarkin has def been at the recieving end of it and she has been suspended as a result.

The only reason Leia keep C3PO around is that she needs him to do her hair. All those fancy updoes? Yeah she never had to do them a day in her life but she does want to look her best so she keeps his annoying metal ass around. Eventually though, it's Han who does her hair for her and 3PO is just there for... tradition? Maybe translation abilities 🤣

3. What do their Masters think of their relationship and would they show their support?

Anakin would probably not care but I think he'd still be surprised that Ahsoka would be with Miss Barriss "Goody Two Shoes Straight A" Offee and low key be nervous that Ahsoka might learn a thing or two from her 🤣 I think he'd high five Ahsoka for and I quoteth "Yeeeaahh Snips GETTIN IT!" Then he'd just walk off leaving poor Ahsoka confused and annoyed.

Luminara would probably be happy about someone making Barriss happy but she'd still def keep a close eye on Ahsoka since she's protective of her daughter. I think Luminara would wait until Barriss tell her about the relationship before showing open support out of respect that it's Barriss's truth to tell (unlike Anakin).

6. Whose Master is more likely to walk in on them in a compromising position?

Oh Anakin absolutely 🤣 The man is an idiot and wouldn't notice the sock on the doorknob.

8. What do the Clones think about their relationship?

Rex is def Ahsoka's wingman and covers for her much like he does for Anakin. Poor man has a notebook full of excuses for them. But he adores their relationship and is happy Ahsoka could find solace in someone during a miserable war.

Gree loves how Barriss seems looser and more relaxed when Ahsoka is around so he is all for it and gives Barriss all the tips for the best places in town to take a lady out.

13. Who is more likely to give the "shovel talk," Luminara or Anakin and how?

Oh def Luminara. Anakin doesn't care enough to. Luminara however, knows how deeply Barriss feels and what it takes for her to open up to someone so she absolutely will want to make sure her girl is safe.

She would do it inviting Ahsoka to her room to "have a cup of tea" (Headcanon that the Jedi who know Luminara well know that the cup of tea means a beat down). She would use plenty of high vocab and innuendo for what she would do to a person who makes Barriss cry.

18. How would Ahsoka express her affection to Barriss?

I feel like Ahsoka would be very physical so she would love touching Barriss's hair, playing with it, learning to style it. She's a big cuddler and whine if Barriss gets too far away in bed.

She'd also love doing tasks like fixing, building, running errands, driving the speeder, etc. cuz she is THAT dyke.

19. How would Barriss express her affection to Ahsoka?

I feel like Barriss is BIG into gift giving and also loves feeding Ahsoka whether that's making her a meal or taking her out somewhere nice and fancy.

21. Whose more likely to initiate intimacy first?

Barriss. Girl might be the quiet one but it's always the quiet ones. Ahsoka while she seems more aggressive, I feel like would be SUPER shy about intimacy. Girl doesn't even let anyone sit on her bed according to the novel 🤣

23. How do they comfort each other?

They hold and cling to each other because it's what they did in life or death situations in the Clone Wars. Listening to the other's heartbeats help calm them down.

31. How would Ahsoka bond with Luminara?

In my and @jedimasterbailey's headcanon, Luminara loves speeder bikes. Ahsoka loves tinkering so naturally they basically car gals together and Barriss gets so bored when they nerd out over this.

I do think their bond started with Cloak of Darkness though even before Barriss.

33. What do the other Jedi think of their relationship?

Yoda would ADORE them together and non stop affectionately troll them. Plo Koon is happy that Ahsoka found someone to calm her restless spirit. Mace is glad the Luminous Lineage may tame the Disaster Lineage. Obi Wan at first is confused and worries about the two girls in a war situation and how that could affect them but in the supportive protective dad way.

45. Share your Barrissoka headcanon.

Ok so not a unique one I'm sure but I have this headcanon that it's Barriss who gives Ahsoka her diamond choker she wears in her second Clone Wars outfit and even though she doesn't wear it anymore, she kept it or maybe used it to make her new white lightsabers back when she didn't know if Barriss survived Order 66 as a way to comfort herself.

Why hello there wife @jedimasterbailey 🥰💙💚 and thank you for the ask about my OG fave!

1. Canon / Outright Reject

I'd just have to reject the sequels for this one. While I'm not against the portrayal of Leia in the sequels since she's still pretty much in character, I hate hate hate how the narrative treats her.

First of all, she doesn't deserve any of the crap she dealt with in that era after fighting so very hard for freedom and losing so much. It just hurts that she has to watch it all crumble around her being the only one with the sense to know it. And the fact that it's her child that causes a lot of it.... ooooo that pisses me off

Second, I HATE when female characters become reduced to mother figures. Before anyone comes at me for that, it's because when that happens, I can't help but notice that suddenly nobody sees a woman as a person, but instead, just "mother." Leia is a character in her own right but now she's "Ben's mother." And with too many Skywalker men already, I'm tired of Skywalker women getting the short end of the stick.

9. Scene that made me fall in love with the character

Look no further than the gif above 😊. Her very first scene immediately made an impression on me when I was a kid and first saw Star Wars. Knowing that this WOMAN had something so very important to do and held such a high position. She was a PRINCESS and growing up, princesses were viewed as weak little things just meant to marry. But this princess was a leader in her own right. And the way she spoke to Darth Vader all guts when his own men quiver in fear at him.... just chef's kiss.

10. Best moment on screen

Hmm so many good ones... toss up between sassing Vader and her handling and choking of Jabba. This woman just has more balls than anyone ever will. Just anytime Leia stands up to someone that usually most fear. Luke went with diplomacy in regard to Jabba, Leia bargained with a detonator in her hand. You can't get more badass than that.

23. If they were a scented candle, what would they smell like?

I feel like people will disagree but I think Leia would be an earthier kind of candle. Something that would emulate a forest like basalm and cedarwood, fresh fallen leaves in Fall, etc.

She's just so grounded as a person and also Alderaan being a more mountainous and forest-y place, it just feels right.

32. Something guaranteed to make her smile

Luke and Han bickering 🤣. But seriously, I think she's loves her droids, animals, and other fuzzy lil friends. She's just such so sweet and gentle with Lola and Wicket. Well... maybe not C3PO but who is? 😂 I just adored how she burned her dickhead cousin when he was rude to the droid and how sweetly she showed Wicket she's not a threat.

I also think anytime Han shows his softer side because she knows how he's usually so guarded and it give her feels that he is comfortable with her.

44. Their happiest memory

I believe it's a combo of when she's reunited with Bail and Breha again in the end of Kenobi and when the Rebellion wins in ROTJ.

Hard to explain why but that's the feeling I get. I just know that Leia must have been thinking about her TRUE parents when the Empire fell. Bittersweet but happy nonetheless.

And in a personal headcanon, I like to think that when she was gifted with Lola, that def is a happy place in Leia's mind. Maybe it was a Life Day gift.
