So....as someone who owns over 100+ palettes and loves eye makeup, I decided to start doing this: I recreate my own look and turn it into cc. Most of them won't be very creative or anything, just my personal make ups. And I will name the pallets that were used for a specific release just for fun. For example, for this I used mattes from the Blood Sugar from Jeffree Star + glitter from the Beatybay x Nikkie tutorial. I hope you enjoy the new format of my content! I'm really trying to be more consistency with my content and hope this will help me get a little more attention and activity because they help me stay motivated. I just wanted to say what I'm grateful for. I recently discovered Jeffree Star's music - I knew about it for a long time, but never listened to it. I've been watching some Jeffree Star make-up tutorials on TikTok, and I remembered him from the MySpace days. I decided to listen to some of his music after watching one of his "TikTok lives" because he seems like such a cool person. Now my favorite song on repeat is "Beauty Killer", and I especially love the "Beauty Killer (Wyoming Edition)" version. I know he'll never read this, but thank you SO MUCH Jeffree Star for making such a positive impact on my life; you are really getting me through some really difficult times! I love you!

ok last addition + i will delete the previous iterations of this post -

i am keenly aware that some people do their makeup in an effort to not look "pretty" or even in a way that could be compared against the binary of what society views as pretty or not. these are not the people im talking about.

i have a bone to pick with people who make their living teaching others how to do makeup without having any certifications, any qualifications at all. yes, it's possible to be a self-taught makeup artist and be a good one, but the current meta of makeup tutorials is so heavily based on drag makeup and the people making them DONT EVEN KNOW IT!! influencers will tell you with their full chests to draw lines of contour and highlight across your face, set those with powder of the respective color, overline your lips with lip pencil, and go in direct sunlight like that!! there's no sense of doing makeup for a specific time and place!! i've seen girls in daylight with chalky streaks of green highlighter across their cheeks because jeffree star told them to do it like that!! people need to understand that influencers cannot be trusted, and that they only operate as extensions of the capitalist hellscape of the beauty industry!!

that's why i get frustrated when i see these gorgeous young girls on ig doing their makeup like this!! if i was their makeup artist, i feel pretty confident across the board that i could make most of them prettier, just by stripping down their routines and making more use of their natural beauty.

it’s not even the makeup part really, more the delivery of your thoughts. i’m really not trying to be mean, but it just sounded conceited is all.
