there's something to be said about the way jeremy refused to believe the worst of jean because he trusted that kevin would not have sent him to usc if he was as bad as the rest of the ravens. and at the same time jean trusting jeremy as his partner because again kevin would not have sent him there if jeremy was not a good person that could look after jean. something poetic about the unwavering trust that they both have in kevin !! kevin day !! the man that you are !!

the thing is. it's not just jean telling jeremy he'll choose him (and the girls) every time. it's jeremy left speechless, his heart thumping in his chest and his mind blank of anything else. it's jeremy just playing those words on repeat. out of context, because he's never been in a committed relationship because nobody has ever chosen him before. if anything it's been the opposite and he's been tossed to the side more times than he can count. he's been so deprived and he wants so bad so he lies there and fantasises about jean telling him those words in another context. in the one he wants so badly. and then when he finally closes his eyes and sleeps he prays he won't dream because what will he see if he does? jean loving him the way he wants and needs and knows he would?? he'll see something he's convinced himself he can't have.
