Hey Peach, i don’t know if you are up for this kind of asks but there is something i would like to get your opinion on.

Do you think Jk sometimes acts or looks like he is uncomfortable with Jimin? I have noticed some stuff that i cannot really explain and i just want to see what someone else thinks. So basically, i know that Jk isn’t, i mean you don’t choose to go spend time alone with someone u are uncomfortable with especially at odd hours of the night. You don’t also initiate touches with that person.

The thing is, when the other members touch Jk or hug him or stuff like that, he looks relaxed but if Jimin so much as puts his arm around Jk sometimes, Jk looks so stiff and a little uneasy. I also noticed this in the way he hugs others. You will see him do a face to face hug with the rest of the members but with Jimin, it almost feels like he doesn’t know where to touch or how to position his body. This whole thing is really weird to me because they have known each other for a very long time and according to Jk himself, Jimin is the member he always found it easiest to talk to and the member he spent most of his nights with so why does he sometimes behave like touching jimin isn’t something familiar to him?

Tbh, this is one of the reasons why they always looked sus to me. There is just something so different about him and Jimin both in the good and bad ways. Contrary to what many people think too, i don’t think the skinship with Jikook is there alot. Maybe it just seems like alot because their skinship is usually so intense that it just feels like alot but it doesn’t happen nearly as often as with taekook, jinkook or hopekook. Most times you will just see Jk drapping over Hobi, or back hugging Tae or cuddled up with Jin but with Jikook, there is always this hesitation that you feel. Even in those moments when Jk lets himself just hold jimin, they are usually short lived and sometimes don’t feel very relaxed. I know that this is probably not the case when they are away from people and cameras but do you think this has to do with that guilt people feel when they have something to hide? Like always being overly concious of everything and easily panicking because unlike with the others, with Jimin there might be a secret there?

I think i am beginning to ramble lol but i really hope you understand what i mean. What do you think?

September faded into October in a blur. You celebrated Namjoon’s birthday, and then it felt like just days later that you were celebrating Jimin’s birthday in Mid-October. You were back to working more to support the four hybrids that lived with you. Namjoon was given a promotion at work, so he was working full-time. He and Hobi were both attending group therapy at the shelter Hobi worked at. Jimin started the emancipation process, so he was meeting with Ms. Hwang fairly regularly, and he had started therapy with Jess. You got all four of them bank accounts, helped Namjoon and Hobi set up direct deposit for their paychecks, got Jimin a cellphone, and helped Hobi get his drivers’ license. All that on top of still looking for a new apartment… you were stressed, and tired, and had no idea which way was up half the time.

It was a week before Halloween, and you had decided to take the day off. No designs. No clients. Hobi had taken Jimin to therapy, Namjoon was at work. And you and Yoongi were on the couch, his back against the armrest, his legs draped over your own. He had a bowl of popcorn in his lap--you had started out watching some critically acclaimed zombie movie, but had given up halfway through. Now, you were cuddled together as closely as possible looking at apartments on your tablet.

Or, at least, Yoongi was looking at apartments. You were on the phone. Khai had called you, and of course you had answered, but it had almost been 10 minutes, and while you loved him--Khai and Sage were two of your closest friends--you really didn’t want to hear him gush about his baby right now. You knew you were being selfish. He was just excited about his baby. But you wanted to get back to cuddles and apartment hunting. So you listened to him, your head resting against Yoongi’s, humming where appropriate.

Eventually, though, he hung up, and your hand fell from your ear, clutching your phone. “Sage had her baby,” you told Yoongi, though you doubted he needed the summary. He probably heard everything Khai had said on the phone.

“We should go see them at some point,” he responded softly, flipping back to the front of the photos of the apartment he was looking at. “Take Lil Kitten a gift.”

“Ivy,” you corrected, leaning into him. He hummed, snuggling closer, his arm wrapping around you. “But we should. I don’t really want to do the hospital thing, but maybe when they’re home.” You pointed to the living room in the pictures. “This would be nice. We could get a bigger couch.”

“A nice one with a footrest.”

“Oh, a sectional? I like the way you think, kitty.” You pressed a lingering kiss to his temple.

“I think this one has the main bedroom in the basement, too,” Yoongi said, quickly flicking through a few photos of the hallways.

“Craving some privacy, are we?” you questioned cheekily, mumbling into his hair. He readjusted against you awkwardly, turning his head a little so you couldn’t see the blush that was slowly spreading across his face. You hummed, kissing his hair again before turning back to your tablet. “You don’t have to feel weird about it.” You tried to keep your tone casual. “I have been, too.”

It was true. You hadn’t really had the time or privacy to try again since the last time you had attempted anything intimate. One of the other hybrids was almost always around, or they would be coming back soon enough, and you knew Yoongi wasn’t quite ready to attempt anything when the house was full of three of his closest friends who all had enhanced senses of smell and hearing. But you could tell he was thinking about it, that he was working through things in his mind. He was starting to get clingier, his touches were starting to linger.

Mentally, you moved ‘private main bedroom’ higher on your apartment needs list.

Suddenly, Yoongi’s head lifted, nearly smacking into your nose as he did. His ears were on high alert, his brow furrowed as he turned his head to look over his shoulder. You stayed silent for a moment, watching his ears twitch this way and that as he listened. His tail flicked agitatedly into his lap.

“What’s wrong?” you whispered, shifting your weight as he gingerly swung his legs off your lap.

“I heard someone at the door.” He extracted his arm from around your middle so that he could fully turn to face the front door.

“Hobi and Jimin should be back soon,” you suggested. “They were going to run to the store after therapy.”

Yoongi shook his head. “I didn’t hear a car door.”

You opened your mouth to say something else, but a soft knock interrupted you. It was just one, loud enough for it to be purposeful, but there was something about it that worried you. Yoongi was standing instantly, his ears pressed against his head. You could tell his mind had jumped to the worst-case scenario: Seungri, or one of his hybrids, stopping by just to make you miserable. You stood before he could pounce on the door, peeking through the sidelight window beside the door. When you couldn’t see anything, you opened the door, just a crack, just enough so that you could see the whole stoop.

Your heart sank immediately.

There, pressed against the concrete bannister of your front steps, sat Jungkook, completely collapsed in on himself. He was clutching his knees to his chest, his face buried in his arms. His tail was wrapped around his waist, though whether to make himself seem smaller or to self-soothe, you weren’t sure. He was trembling, his big, floppy ears pressed firmly against his skull. Cooky, his pink stuffed rabbit, was pressed into his chest, hidden by his limbs and his jacket.

“Jungkookie?” Yoongi asked softly, stepping out from around you.

“Hey, pup.” You sat beside him on the steps, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. “What’s wrong? Does Seokjin know you’re here?”

“D-d-don’t tell him,” Jungkook sobbed, pulling in on himself. “P-please, noona.”

You looked at Yoongi, who shrugged. Your thumb soothed circles into Jungkook’s shoulder. Your other hand came up to rest on his arm, squeezing his bicep gently. “It’s okay, pup. You’re okay.”

“Why don’t you come inside?” Yoongi questioned. You heard him shuffle lightly on his feet in the doorway.

Jungkook nodded, and you helped him stand. He clutched Cooky to his chest, his face buried between the bunny’s ears. You guided him into the apartment, a hand on his back. When you passed Yoongi, he gave you a worried look.

Jungkook collapsed onto the couch, curling into your side as soon as you sat down. You hugged him, holding him tightly to you as he cried. After a moment, Yoongi came into the living room, a bottle of water in his hand. He sat down on the other side of Jungkook, his hand falling to the pup’s hair.

“What happened, Jungkookie?” Yoongi questioned softly.

Jungkook sighed into you, his breath coming in stuttering gasps. You dragged your fingers up and down his arm in an attempt to soothe him, giving him something repetitive to ground himself on, hoping that maybe it would help calm him down.

“You’re okay,” you whispered. “You’re safe. It’s okay, take your time.”

“I-I-I…” he attempted, his face buried into Cooky’s head. “I le-left Jin-hyung.”

You frowned, looking at Yoongi over Jungkook’s crumpled form. The cat hybrid shrugged slightly, his brows furrowed in concern. You hummed, holding Jungkook tighter when he grasped at your arm, keeping him close. Yoongi’s long fingers mussed the pup’s dark hair.

“I’m so sorry, pup,” you said gently. You were curious, but you also didn’t want to pry, and you especially didn’t want to upset him further, so you left it at that. You gave his body a gentle squeeze and let him feel his feelings.

Eventually, Jungkook stopped shaking, and you felt his breathing deepen. You continued to run your fingers along his arm, soothing him despite the jacket he was wearing. He sighed against you, readjusting so that his head was resting on your shoulder.

“I’m sorry for just showing up,” he croaked, voice thick with unshed tears. “I didn’t know where else to go.”

You shushed him, smoothing down his hair. “You don’t have to apologize. You’re welcome here any time.”

“I had to get out of there.”

“What happened, Jungkookie?” Yoongi questioned, pushing the bottle of water into the pup’s hands.

Obediently, Jungkook took a drink. He remained silent as he thought, picking at the label of the bottle. “He’s still stuck back there, hyung.” Jungkook’s dark eyes met Yoongi’s copper ones, and you could tell that Yoongi understood. “He still thinks I need to be protected.”

Yoongi nodded in understanding. “He’s still fighting it in his head.”

“I get that. I get that he went through a bunch of stuff. I get that he did a lot to protect me then.” Jungkook sighed. You could feel your shirt dampening with new tears. “But it’s like he thinks I’m still in constant danger.” He sniffled. “I missed you, noona,” he said, nuzzling into your shoulder. “But he didn’t like that I wanted to come visit you. With or without him.”

You hummed. You’d had a feeling that Seokjin’s distrust of you had something to do with the fact that you hadn’t seen the pup in almost two months. But you hadn’t said anything to Yoongi. You didn’t want to come between him and his friends.

“I just couldn’t take it any more,” Jungkook continued, sniffling and reaching for Yoongi’s hand. He played with Yoongi’s fingers. “I needed space. He couldn’t understand that I needed him to treat me like an adult.”

“He’s always been stubborn,” Yoongi said softly. “You can stay here for as long as you need.”

When Hobi, Namjoon, and Jimin got back, Jungkook moved from clinging to you to clinging to Namjoon. You stepped into your office to take a phone call, and when you returned, all five hybrids were piled on the couch. Yoongi was shoved into the corner against one of the cushioned arms, one arm slung over Namjoon’s shoulder to keep himself from getting squished down into the couch.

You could tell someone was at the door before the knock even came. All five hybrid faces snapped to look at the entryway. When the person knocked again, Namjoon tried to stand, but you waved him off.

At first, you opened the door slowly, but as soon as you saw the long black tail, you stepped away and allowed the hybrid inside. Taehyung nodded to you gratefully as he kicked off his shoes. He was carrying one backpack in his hands and had another slung over his shoulder.

“Jungkookie?” the panther hybrid asked, rounding the corner into the living room.

The pup’s eyes went wide, and for a second, he hid behind Jimin, shoving the fox hybrid in front of him. Jimin squeaked in protest, smiling awkwardly at Taehyung. The panther hybrid sighed and, seeing he was getting nowhere, he changed tactics.

“Can I stay here for a few days?” he asked softly, turning to you. “I brought Jungkookie’s stuff--what I could grab of it, at least--and my stuff. I just… I couldn’t stay there.”

“I don’t have anywhere to put you,” you said softly.

“I’ll sleep on the floor, I don’t care,” he insisted.

“I don’t…” Taehyung’s amber eyes met yours, pleading with you. You sighed and nodded slightly. “Yeah. Of course you can stay here.”

Your stomach churned, but you tried not to let it show. Six hybrids in one two-bedroom house was really pushing things to the limit. It was only a matter of time before something went wrong. You feared it would be sooner than expected.

“Jungkookie, I need to ask you something,” Namjoon started, his deep voice soft. His hand fell to the pup’s leg, his thumb rubbing comforting circles into the pup’s knee. “It won’t change how we feel about it--Jin-hyung should respect you, that’s not a question. But we need to know just in case…” The wolf hybrid sighed. “We just need to know.”

Jungkook nodded, his floppy, oversized ears as straight as they could be as he hung on Namjoon’s every word. You could tell the wolf hybrid was struggling with how to phrase his question, watching him think as you went to sit on the floor in front of Yoongi. You leaned against his shins, resting your head against his knee.

“Was he… was Jin-hyung your mate?” Namjoon finally questioned, apparently choosing the direct approach.

“No.” Jungkook’s eyes were wide as he shook his head. “No, I don’t know about how he felt, but it was never the right time for me.”

The five other hybrids in the room visibly relaxed, but all you felt was confusion. Your research into hybrids had never gone into detail about the mating process. Most of the sources you’d found had just glossed over the subject entirely. Namjoon’s brown eyes met yours, and he must have noticed your confusion, because he nodded.

“Hybrids choose their mates for life,” the wolf said, less nervous now that he was in education-mode. “We have a good deal of choice of who our mate is, but our instincts seem to choose when the mate-bond happens.”

“That’s why they don’t break up bonded pairs.” Suddenly everything about the courthouse and your meeting with the director of hybrid services made more sense.

Namjoon nodded. “Right. Mostly, mates are sexual. It’s meant to continue the species, after all. But they don’t have to be. I suppose it’s like marriage for humans, but with more instincts involved.”

He left it at that, and you let it go. That is, you let it go until you and Yoongi were getting ready for bed later that night.

“What’s the mating bond like?” you asked absently, grabbing your book from the nightstand.

Yoongi shrugged. “Dunno. Haven’t felt it.”

You weren’t sure why your heart sank a little at that. It wasn’t like you and Yoongi had fooled around any more. Did you even want to be labelled as ‘mate’?

“Yeah but what’s the process?” you pressed further.

“Oh! Uh…” Yoongi drew his lower lip between his teeth, his long canine tooth visible as he worried at the skin. “It’s a bite. To the pulse point, or wherever the scent is the strongest.” He tapped the bit of skin just under his ear. “It’s supposed to mix the hybrid’s scent with the mate’s and make them more in tune with each other’s emotions. When it’s two hybrids doing it, they bite each other, I think?”

“Does it hurt?”

“Namjoon said it was more… like an intense hickey.” His face was a beautiful shade of pink by that point. You could even see the flush creeping up the inside of his cat ears. “It’s not supposed to break the skin, but it can. I guess it can hurt, probably.”

You hummed and opened your book. It seemed like an awkward process, but if it was instinctual, you supposed the hybrids couldn’t really fight it. Especially if it was a territorial thing like scenting was.

Yoongi coughed and slid under the covers beside you. For a moment, he was silent. But when he coughed again, you looked at him. His copper eyes were already on you, the dusting of pink still coloring his cheeks.

“I don’t want to assume…” he said softly, eyes falling to his fingers twisting and untwisting the top of the blanket nervously. “I can’t control when--or if--it happens, but if it does, would you... I mean are you…” His brow furrowed, bottom lip sticking out in a pout as he considered how to phrase his question.

You took a second to think. Dating Yoongi was one thing. Messing around and having sex was another. But being his mate? Was that something you wanted? Was that a commitment you were willing to make? Namjoon had said it himself. Hybrids chose their mates for life. That was a scary prospect.

But at the same time… you couldn’t imagine your life without Yoongi in it. More than that, you didn’t want to imagine your life without Yoongi in it. When you thought of your future--personal, professional, social--he was there. Three years, and he had cemented himself so permanently in your life that your futures were thoroughly intertwined in your mind.

You supposed that was your answer.

“If it happens,” you started, keeping your voice steady, measured. You reached out and squeezed his hand. “Follow your heart.”

“You…” A soft purr began to stutter in his chest, his hand clutching yours tightly. “You would…?”

“Of course I would.” You closed your book with one hand, leaning over to place a gentle kiss to his temple. “I love you more than anything, silly kitty.”

Can’t Keep My Hands To Myself; Jinkook

“You’ll annoy Yoongi,” Seokjin said, words muffled by the pillow he was cuddling into.

He was laying on his bed, stomach first, and Jungkook laying on his side next to his hyung, his hand gently smoothing over Seokjin’s ass.

Jungkook shrugged. “Who cares? I’m on your bed, not his.”

“You have your own room Jungkook-ah,” Jin reminded but it made no difference.

“Let me stay a bit longer,” Jungkook begged and Seokjin sighed dramatically but nodded nevertheless.

Jungkook grinned and leaned down, a sudden temptation fogging his thoughts. Seokjin let out a shout of surprise when he felt teeth biting into his butt. When he turned around, he saw Jungkook grinning at him.

“You’re so responsive,” he said, patting Jin’s but twice the way a parent would do to their child.

Seokjin pouted and buried his face in his pillow because if he didn’t, he was sure he’d start yelling at the maknae.

Hi, Tokyokookmin!! I love Jikook, and my bias is our Jungkook.

So, I just want to ask if do you notice the odd awkwardness or tension on brotherhood or friendlihood of JinKook? It seems like they are not that really close anymore. It seems like they don't talk deeply or teasing each other anymore that often. It seems like there's a wall, much to say, awkwardness? Do you notice it? Because I do, especially on Jungkook's side.

If ever this is true, I am really sad for them because I love their bond so much🥺

Hello, anon! It took me a while to get to your ask, sorry! I'm gonna make this one short, don't have much time.

Oh my, anon. 🥺I love JinKook so much! Their interactions might have decreased but I still feel that they are close. We don't know what's going on with them, we only get to see what's portrayed on camera. Like me, I would have my eyes fixated on my biases, so maybe I don't see what JinKookers are, just like you. There's definitely one reason that I can associate with their awkwardness (if there is) and that would be :

1. JinKook shippers making things awkward

Almost anyone would agree to this. There are plenty of JinKook analyses, theories and twisted & edited versions of jinkook interaction spreading on social media platforms.

They have always been close since pre-debut, Jin used to make Jk's lunchbox and he was basically an elder brother figure to JK. They are close, they are brothers, they are bandmates. Jin brought JK up, he raised him. Jk has a special corner for Jin, after all, Jin has done a lot for him... remember the time when Jk got injured during their Europe tour? Yeah, Jin was the one who tried his level best to cheer him up, he was Jk's pillar of support.

Their bond is somehow unique, people might assume that bicker all day long but that's not true at all. That's their love language. I enjoy them sitting at a corner together because they are always up to something it's just so so entertaining! They are my seretonin booster!

JinKook share a great bond. They find solace and comfort from each other during tough times, they lean on to each other and they genuinely appreciate one another. Jk trust him the most! I absolutely love their relationship. They are not romantic but they are close, they are not romantic but their bond continues to grow.

Has JinKook lately been awkward?

Not gonna beat the bush, my clear answer is NO.

JinKook has remained as a goofy duo till today. They still do tease eachother and act the complete same as they were. The only thing that has changed is the level of closeness. This doesn't only apply to them but for other dynamics as well. If you saw the recent 2022 BTS program, jk said that Jin made him laugh the most. (Correct me if I'm wrong, that's what I saw)

Here, in ITS2, you can see Jin waking jk up. You see,hmm, I can't judge much because I don't have a sibling, I'm the only child.

In my opinion, this whole 30 seconds of Jin cuddling jk looks really brotherly. It's hilarious seeing the way Jin woke jk up. Makes me remember their debut era when they all had to sleep in a cramped up room.

Lol the way Jin cuddled jk was so funny and heartwarming as well 🥺.

Do you think Taehyung and jungkook are as close as they seem?

It would never occur to me to say that they aren't close. People who've been friends for ten years and have shared as many important experiences as they have, it's inevitable to be close. I think it would actually take effort to not be close.

You'd see Jungkook leaning his head on Hoseok's or Jin's shoulder because he's sleepy or tired, and nobody questions if he's close to them or not. A similar moment he had with Jimin years ago was even the reason a lot started shipping jikook and seeing "intimacy" between them. So I take it at face value and as a sign of him being close to Taehyung when he does it with Taehyung as well.

Everyone has a different definition of closeness, too. I personally cannot fathom two men their age being as physically affectionate with each other as taekook are, to find out they don't like and love each other. It's why the formality and seriousness of the ITS talk has always been confusing to me, and I don't care that much anymore, but it was troubling to put it some way, and it irrevocably changed what I thought of Jungkook.

I'm talking about cuddling on award shows with millions watching, back hug and leaning on shoulder, sitting on lap, all of that happened before the conversation; the night right after the conversation Taehyung went and got into Jungkook's bed and slept with him for a while, too. Try and find me two men their age who aren't close or don't want to be close do that. No man would allow another guy getting into his bed like that if they aren't close or they don't like each other.

For some people, being close to someone refers only to emotional attachment. For others, it's more about physical engagements. For others, both emotional involvement AND physical, tangible acts of affection have to go hand in hand.

A lot of people (jikookers) claim taekook aren't close because they don't spend time together off camera, or because they don't seem to keep up with what the other is doing, or because they don't show up for each other's birthdays.

On that same line of thought, think about Jin and Jungkook, and vmin too while we're at it. You have Jin and JK who are touching literally all the time. You put them next to each other and they will be touching. But they never talk seriously. They've never mentioned getting together and hanging out and just having conversations, yet nobody doubts that they're close; in fact, they're probably one of the most like duos by army. I remember in 2019 there was a poll in one of those pages like koreaboo and Jinkook won as the closest members. Based on what? It's 2022 and Jin and JK didn't have each other's numbers for months, but people see them hugging and they forget all of that. And it's valid. I understand that they forget and I even agree. I forget too.

Something very similar happens with taekook, because them being physically close and affectionate and sweet are the only things we can see and know, and it's somehow a quantitative variable. It's something tangible, something that people see and understand. When people say that body expression makes up for whatever % of communication, they're not lying. Body language CAN be deceiving and misinterpreted and it shouldn't make or break anything, but try and find me one, just ONE person in the world who sees a hug and thinks "they aren't close". If you find one person who sees two people hugging and thinks they must be enemies, I'll literally give you all my life savings (like 10 dollars). Skinship might not be the only parameter to gauge relationships or the only answer, but it's not like it means nothing. For anyone who's been born and raised on this Earth, affectionate touches do mean something.

Then there's vmin, too. I don't remember Taehyung being there for any of Jimin's birthdays. I don't remember Jimin being there for Taehyung's birthdays. But they're soulmates, right? You'd be close to getting stoned if you said they aren't bffs. They don't hang out off schedule, either. They aren't even that touchy with each other. So with vmin you don't have that much skinship, or seeing each other off work, or going to birthdays. Just days ago I saw a tweet from a jikooker, it had a couple thousands of likes, and they said something about vmin threatening jikook. But they're also one of those people that was like "Taehyung wasn't there for Jungkook's birthday".

There's yoonmin, too. They don't hang out together off work, never been with each other for their birthdays, they have 0 skinship, literally zero, and yet they're one of the indisputable closest people in the group, according to the General Population of Army.

I think people look for patterns and think they see patterns when there aren't, or rather, they're not that significant and they don't present conclusive facts about any relationship in BTS.

I've never known of one single time Jungkook was there for Jimin's birthday, yet Jimin was there for a lot of his. We just assume that it's mutual and JK shows up for Jimin because this type of back and forth is what any of us is used to in healthy friendships, but if we're talking facts, there's nothing about JK ever showing up at Jimin's for his birthdays.

And while we're at the topic of birthdays and hanging out together off schedule, I think that's mostly a personality thing. 2seok, namseok jihope, we've known of all them hanging out publicly or even meeting and drinking together at home, I've lost count of the times Namjoon said he'd meet Jimin late at night just this year. It's like the common denominator for meeting with people it's Hoseok, and maybe Jimin; the common denominator for not meeting are Taehyung, and yoongi.

I still remember festa 2020 Hoseok's voice going some octaves higher when he was telling them about yoongi asking him to hang out because he just couldn't believe yoongi did that. But sope this sope that, right?

I'm Jimin's same age and I don't see myself being intimately affectionate or even putting myself in a "vulnerable" position with someone I don't trust or I'm close with. I care deeply for the people I care about, and I've maintained deep, important friendships with the same people for most of my life. Otherwise, I'm honestly quite indifferent to people.

But maybe Jungkook and Taehyung don't need years of knowing and talking with someone to feel close to them. Maybe it's easy for them to be affectionate and "vulnerable" (in a way) with each other. JK was friends with Mijoo for no more than a couple of months and they seemed like they got close in short time, so I believe physical affection is probably the way he shows he's close to someone.

If JK "pushes" songdeuk's hand away is because he's being a boyfriend, if Jimin takes the role of comforting JK he's being a boyfriend, but when Jimin touched JK's head last live, Taehyung just made Jimin remove his hand, so what do we do with that information. I guess that's Taehyung being a boyfriend, then. Not to mention that it's not the first time Jimin has to step aside or look away so tk can have their moment, because it's been happening since late 2019.

So, again it's a matter of patterns about their personal private lives, which we know nothing of, that people seem to pick up on, and I understand what they see, but ultimately I don't think they mean much. I think it's mostly all just circumstantial or simply their personalities. I do see taekook acting like friends, all the time, literally all the time. And if they're not actually close, but they make it seem so, then what does that mean?

What is your take on red carpet GDA 2020 when Tae stumbled and fell and Jungkook behaved in a different way I assume a partner to behave? Like I get there are cameras and all and they need to school their expressions but I didn't see concern in his face not even for a sec. Jin reacted so quickly and then jinkook laughed it off. I don't know what was I expecting. Maybe a more sober face, a frown, a look towards Tae. I just don't know.

I don’t think it really makes sense to have specific expectations about how either Taehyung or Jungkook should act or react, you know?  We don’t know all the details.  In this particular instance, it happened so fast, it’s not even really clear if anyone understood why Taehyung fell in the first place.

Maybe I’d be more inclined to think something was off about Jungkook’s response if he hadn’t then been so attentive to Taehyung for the rest of the night, but he was right there beside him so much of the time, you can see him checking in on Tae, talking to him throughout the night, literally running after him when he went to go see the penguin, and of course the cuddle moment.

I can’t read whole motivations into one expression from a distance in basically a flash of a moment, but I can recognize that Jungkook paid a lot of attention to Taehyung throughout the rest of that whole evening.  They were so soft together through the whole event.

Hobi has the full tea!! I feel like everyone sleeps on my bias in general, but also his relationships with, and reactions to jikook. One of the things that has always been so revealing for jikook, is the other members’ reaction towards them. 911 save namjoon. Tae’s sly comments in his lives. Jin’s too perfect ability to minimise tension with humour and tone, at the drop of a hat (or a dash of prolonged eye contact) (Jin deserves an ask all to himself tbh). But it’s hobi who is the most telling for me, especially when you look at his reactions over time. My hope can’t hide his emotions from his sunshiny face to save his life. In the early years hoseok would look wary/almost tense and would share looks and policing duty with namjoon. I think Hobi’s knowing of their ‘closeness’ (cause hobi 100% knew) made him overly cautious that they’d give themselves away, and you can see it clear as day on his face. I’m thinking that Japan ‘shamelessness’ interview where hobi looks on edge and at one point actually pulls jimin by his shoulder away from leaning too close to JK. Everytime jikook spoke about Tokyo. He still has these moments but nowadays he more or less just stares at them adoringly, and doesn’t look surprised over rainy day stories. He’s just too fond and it shows and as jikook have matured, I think it’s allowed him to relax more. I think part of the reason ppl don’t notice it is because other friendship ships are more popular, think jinkook/vmin. I actually think Jihope and hopekook are lot closer than the popular narratives suggest, and BV4 confirmed for me that 3j undoubtedly are the closest threesome in BTS (there the only ones that saw eo in the break). Thank you for your thoughts as a Hobi bias! I agree, he’s so supportive. The look on his face when he’s hearing the story about the rainy day fight is everything. I might be thinking too much into it, but it tells me he knew the story pretty well. If anyone would know all the details about their relationship, it would be the roommate, so yes, I believe he knows a lot. I also remember how he was dying laughing over the snoring reenactment. He was the one to remember the Tokyo trip in the recent interview and brought it up. And yes, I think they’re both super close to him! I’ve never seen JK cuddle with anyone as much as he does with Hobi lol. 

He is honestly such a sweetheart. I remember that one of his goals for 2020 was to find love, and I really hope he got his wish 💜
