[▮▮▮] 1

Hiromi Higuruma tightened the knot of his precisely aligned tie as he surveyed the chaotic construction site from his parked car. His reputation as a defense attorney who thrived on precision and logic preceded him. To Hiromi, myths and superstitions were distractions, born of fear and ignorance. Yet, something about this case had unsettled him from the start. Perhaps it was the lack of concrete answers in the reports or the strange expressions on the faces of the workers he’d briefly observed.
“Every delay has a reason,” he muttered, stepping onto the site. His polished shoes sank slightly into the damp ground, and the faint tang of disturbed earth reached his nose. He scanned the half-finished tower rising into the fog and suppressed a twinge of unease. “And none of them involve ghosts.”
Across the site, the head of the Gojo clan stood with her arms crossed, her expression unreadable. Her tailored coat shielded her from the chill, but it did little to quell the simmering frustration beneath her composed exterior. She had watched the land change over the months with an almost visceral ache, each new beam and slab of concrete a scar across a place that once pulsed with spiritual harmony. To her, this wasn’t just an ambitious skyscraper—it was a monument to human arrogance.
Hiromi’s first steps onto the site caught her attention. He carried himself with a confidence, his sharp suit and measured movements clashing with the chaotic, grimy backdrop of the construction zone. As he emerged from the site office, engrossed in a stack of legal documents, their eyes met for the first time.
She tilted her head slightly, studying him with the detached curiosity of someone piecing together a puzzle. There was an intensity in her gaze that made Hiromi pause mid-step, as though she could see straight through his polished exterior.
“They seemed to have hired a attorney.. how interesting” She remarked, breaking the silence. Her voice was calm, yet it carried an undertone of quiet authority, "do you believe the complains hold some truth? the ghosts?"
Hiromi raised an eyebrow, startled by her sudden approach. “they don't exist…" he replied, recovering quickly. “why? do you?”
“Merely curious.” Her faint smile gave away nothing, but her words carried weight, as if she knew far more than she let on.
He hesitated for a moment, then folded his arms. “Curiosity doesn’t usually bring people to construction sites.”
“Neither does skepticism,” she countered smoothly.
Hiromi found himself smirking despite the odd tension in the air. “Touché.” He studied her briefly, taking in the sharpness of her features and the quiet resolve in her stance. Whoever she was, she wasn’t here on a whim.
“If you’re here to unravel a mystery, you won’t find much. Just rumors and faulty equipment.”
“Rumors often hold a grain of truth,” She replied, her gaze unwavering. “Wouldn’t you agree, Mr. Higuruma?”
Hiromi’s expression shifted subtly at her use of his name, for a moment, the air between them was charged, a silent exchange of unspoken intentions. He masked his surprise quickly. “You’ve done your homework.”
“I prefer to be prepared,” she said simply.
"And who might you be to come prepared?"
"We'll be seeing a lot of each other, Mr. Higuruma. so let's keep the introductions for the second time." With a nod, she turned and began walking away, leaving Hiromi with more questions than answers.
As he watched her retreating figure, a flicker of doubt crossed his mind. Perhaps this case wasn’t as straightforward as he’d assumed.

Start of something new or.....

- On the Themes of Love, Vulnerability and Blindfolds in Jujutsu Kaisen -
-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-
TAGS/WARNINGS- Implied/Slight spoilers for the Jjk Anime and Manga.
THESE ARE THOUGHTS THAT I WAS HAVING THAT I STRUNG TOGETHER- please don't come at me about the working I already know it's horrible.
((if you want to add one your own takes or pick apart mine, please do so cuz I eat this shit up like food on thanksgiving (and tag me I wanna see what you come up with))
-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-!-
Love
Vulnerability
Blind love
Love is blind
Justice is blind
Love is not Justice and v.v.
(Justice and Love are two sides of the same coin but this is a conversation for another day)
-
Justice is impartial
"Lady Justice wears a blindfold to represent impartial justice and everyday people close their eyes to shield themselves from reality"
-
Gojo is not Justice
Gojo is Jusitce
Gojo is not impartial- he uses a blindfold to create a physical barrier between himself and others.
Gojo wears a blindfold to keep his memory of Geto in
Gojo wears a blindfold like a mask; a personally built facade to keep others out
Gojo harbours immense and infinite cursed energy
Gojo harbors immense and infinite love
Gojo's birth caused a boom in cursed energy/spirits to appear
Geto was born to mitigate (swallow) all of it
Geto was born to cancel out the effects of Gojo's birth
Geton was born to accept Gojo's love
-
Gojo's immense and infinite love/cursed energy was meant for someone who is no longer with us;
He uses it sparringly
Basically never•
Few and far between•
Taking off the blindfold means to be vulnerable
Gojo has his blindfold off when he runs into Kenjaku (in his pov, it was Geto)
Gojo is vulnerable around Geto.
-
Vulnerability is a weakness
-
'Curses that work together in groups are weak'
Groups are weak
To Sukuna, Yuji making friends practically wherever he goes is a sign of weakness
But Yuji is strong
He subdues Sukuna for the greater part of the entire story
-
Yuji and his friends are strong together
There is strength in numbers
-
It's lonely at the top
It's lonely being the strongest
-
Love means to be vulnerable and compromise strength in lieu of compassion and connection
Sukuna tries to 'connect' but is pushed away when his methods don't work
Sukuna uses extreme violence to play with and 'connect' to others
Most individuals don't want to connect that way
Sukuna doesn't use Yuji's methids of connection because that goes against everything he stands for
-
Love is the worst curse of them all
-
Who will teach Sukuna love?
Sukuna does not need to be taught love;
He has no use for it
___ will teach ___ (Sukuna) love
Sukuna is the strongest sorcerer in history
Sukuna is the King if Curses
Sukuna is the King of Love
-
Sacrifices
-
In order to make one, you need to sacrifice something
How much has Sukuna sacrificed to become the strongest?
-
Binding Vows
-
Love means to make sacrifieces
Love means to make sacrifices
Love means to be vulnerable
Gojo sacrificed Geto (and his love) for the greater good (and for other obvious reason)
Gojo loved Geto
Gojo cannot stand out when paired with Geto
-
Hidden Inventory Arc (anime) - Gojo's eyes seem duller and less illustrious than usual,
-
Gojo stands out when Geto is not around
Gojo is The Strongest
The Strongest isn't vulnerable
Gojo is vulnerable with Geto
-
Sukuna believes vulnerablility is weak
Yuji wears his heart on his sleeve
-
Gojo closed his heart.away after Geto died
Gojo never puts down infinity again (with minor exceptions)
Gojo wears a blindfold to keep others out
Taking off the blindfold means to be vulnerable
-
Vulnerability is a weakness
-
*The suffix -utl, "Something and nothing at once, polar opposites existing simultaneously."*
Love-utl
-
Sukuna does not love
Sukuna hates Yuji
Gojo can love, chooses not to
-
Love is sacrifice
Sukuna doesn't love anyone but himself
Sukuna rejected and sacrificed his previous (human) identity for his cursed one
Sukuna loves himself
Gojo loves loved Geto
Goji is immensely fond of others (his students/close friends)
Yuji loves (pretty much) everyone
-
Gojo/Sukuna/Yuji is the strongest
-
1. Love is sacrifice
- Gojo sacrificed Geto; his love
- Sukuna sacrificed everything else; his humanity
- Yuji sacrificed his previous peaceful life so he could save more people in his sorcerer life
2. Love is vulnerability
- Gojo swore to never be vulnerable again; his love came back to bite him again in his adult years and he payed the price for it; love is weakness
- Sukuna is not vulnerable; it is a weakness; the weak should die
- Yuji is vulnerable with his friends and is always ready to use his compassion for the best outcome; Yuji is open with his companions
3. Love is the worst curse of them all
- Love took the only person that could accept him; Gojo rarely uses love anymore
- Sukuna is the King of Curses, therefore the King of Love by proxy; Sukuna hates love; doesn't need to be taught it; Sukuna hates Yuji
- Yuji harbors the King of Curses
- Yuji defeated the King of Love
-
Love is the worst curse of them all
-
Love is not a curse
Love is strength
There is strength in numbers
Groups- together, connection, vulnerability, sacrifice- are strength
Yuji is/has all of these
Yuji is strong
Yuji defeated the King of Curses
Yuji harbors immense love
Sukuna hates love
Sukuna hates Yuji
Love is the worst curse of them all
Yuji is the worst curse of them all
Yuji is strong
Love is strength
Love is vulnerable
Yuji is both,
Love-utl,
Yuji is love
Yuji is The Strongest

I was making a reference to Gojo's infinity, how no one could ever get close to him. Fitting, no?

Kirara Confirmed Male?
As I have spoken about multiple times previously, Kirara is one of the androgynous characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. However, recently on the (fanmade) wiki, their gender has gone from "unknown" to "male". However, I have doubts about it.
To be honest, I don't completely understand how the wiki went from unknown to male. Yes, the students from Jujutsu High, Panda, and Megumi, remember Kirara as masculine-presenting, referring to them as a boy. However, despite that, Gege and almost all of the characters use they/them pronouns on Kirara.
Kinji Hakari, a now-suspended student from Jujutsu High (just like Kirara) is shown to have a fierce, loyal, companionship with Kirara. I believe the wiki originally described their relationship as "intimate" but I think that has been changed now. Kirara is protective of Hakari, and most people have assumed they are a non-confirmed couple. Because of the below image.
With that being said, hypothetically let's say they are a non-confirmed couple, or friends with benefits, whatever you want to label it. Hakari has straight up said he does not like men, he's into women, and has had previous relationships with women. I used this proof in a previous post, but I'll show it again for those who didn't see that post.
But again as I've said in the previous post, I'm not 100% that the above image is not a mistranslation so I'll show the image that I found which is of this panel:
Also not to be a dick about grammar or typos on a wiki, more so just trying to call it out since they mostly refer to Kirara as they/them on the wiki for consistency, but the wiki seems to have a few errors of calling Kirara by she/her at times. This just makes me even more confused about whether Kirara is still androgynous or is a male or a woman or whatever the hell.
As much as I would like to provide proof of screenshots of each error, I have trouble reading long amounts of paragraphs so I apologize for not providing screenshots. However, you can find the wiki here. Again, not trying to be a dick about typos, I could be completely incorrect and misreading the sentences.
I'm not too mad at the fact that Kirara might be a guy. What concerns me more is that people will label Kirara as a "trap". I usually do feel disappointed by "trap" characters, I don't really like cross-dressing characters being used for comedic effect or for people to point and laugh at.
I honestly would've preferred Kirara's gender to remain unknown or be confirmed a woman just so they aren't a laughing stock. There are only two androgynous characters in Jujutsu Kaisen (from what I remember), Uraume and Kirara. Usually, people who say Kirara is a femboy are most likely to say Uraume is a girl, or vice versa.
To be honest I think I'll still refer to Kirara as they/them instead of saying they're a guy, unless Gege says otherwise of course.

*Preview* Let the Games Begin (upcoming 'Another Level' installment)
Update: POSTED
I think maybe I finally understand shit for the Culling Game...
If you haven't already, you can read Another Level on AO3 😊
“That’s why he’s occupying Geto’s body,” Rinko said, clenching her jaw. “It’s why he wanted his technique-”
“Cursed Spirit Manipulation,” Tengen finished, nodding. “I am now vulnerable to that technique. Based on Kenjaku’s skill level, he may be able to absorb me as soon as he encounters me.”
That was why he’d asked Yuki, Yuuta, and Choso to guard him.
“Why now?” Yuki asked, crossing her arms. “He stopped a merger to force your evolution, he was aligned with Sukuna at some point, and now he wants to control you through curse manipulation. But why now?”
A good fucking question. A thousand years of planning for this, and that fucker just had to do it while Rinko was alive.
Selfish, she knew. But she was really fucking sick of dealing with shit like this.

Momoko Hinokuma
Subject: explaining scale of matter
For anyone unaware I have a group of JJK ocs that have their own arc in the plot and expand the universe. To satiate the goblin in my brain I have decided to write out how their cursed techniques function, how op they are and how they function.
JJK DUDEBROS DNI (half joke)
Basic rundown
🧸 SOM is decently simple at first glance, but the longer you look at it the more complicated it gets
🧸 SOM let's its user affect the strength and weakness of matter around them.
🧸 SOM holds similar aspects to Utahimes since it can enhance other sorcerers cursed techniques
🧸 However, a key difference in what sets it apart are two key aspects.
🧸one, it can increase and decrease strength.
🧸and two, it can affect any form of matter
🧸the inspiration for SOM and Momko in general came from Epithet Erase and its main character Molly. Her ability letting her dumb down things around her.
🧸How SOM actually works is fairly simple. With a touch or a blast of energy, the user can delete or enhance parts of nature, a person's powerset or body, etc
More complex specifications
🧸SOM doesn't have adverse effects on the user. It doesn't use up much stamina and can be used for all manner of combat styles
🧸SOM' weakness actually stems from its mere existence. The power is potent enough to delete bits of its host if not used carefully.
🧸SOM is extremely rare as a cursed technique thanks to a lot of plot aspects, mainly because of Kiyoshi Fujiwara, but that's a whole other can of worms we can't deal with right now.
🧸Now, to give you an idea on SOM and how rare it is, I'll use comparison. It is nowhere near as rare as six eyes, yet it's still unnatural enough for a SOM user to be seen as suprising and sought after.
Momokos use of SOM
🧸Momoko who is the only currently known present day user of SOM mainly uses it for midrange attacks, short range is her weakness.
🧸she will most commonly use it to take away other people's cursed techniques for short periods of time before returning them
🧸Reducing the impact of any hit that's landed on her, so what would have originally been a devastating hit is now the equivalent of a flick on the wrist
🧸 its notable uses are most often seen in the culling games arc, however they are shown off a tiny bit in shibuya
🧸 Momokos ability directly clashes with one of Kiyoshis most powerful weapons making her integral when Kiyoshi reappears in Shibuya and sticks around
🧸Momoko doesn't use SOM to its full potential leading her to become excessively obsessed with improving after Shibuya for reasons I'm not explaining here
🧸🧸🧸
SOM and its role in the ongoing plot
🧸SOM is generally the muguffin of the side plot i created in JJK
🧸SOM being the one thing Kiyoshi seeks to eradicate more than anything else. (No I'm not elaborating in this post, I'm saving that BS for an entirely different post because my god...)

[▮▮▮] 2

The rumors among the workers intensified with each passing day. Disembodied voices, flickering shadows, and the sensation of being watched were no longer confined to whispered conversations but were now openly discussed with fear and frustration. A foreman resigned abruptly after claiming to have seen a figure standing impossibly still at the edge of the floodlights, only to vanish when he approached.
Hiromi, determined to get to the bottom of this, interviewed the workers one by one. With each story, his irritation grew. The details were maddeningly vague—a wrench that supposedly flew across the site on its own, a shadow darting past only to vanish in the blink of an eye. These accounts grated against his logical mind. His frustration wasn’t just with the stories themselves, but with the workers’ palpable fear. It was real, tangible, and that made it harder to dismiss.
He leaned back in his chair in the site office, rubbing his temples as the latest witness left. “Ghost stories,” he muttered under his breath. “What next? A séance?”
Yet, despite his irritation, he couldn’t deny the undercurrent of curiosity. Something unusual was happening here, and it wasn’t just the workers’ overactive imaginations. The engineer's reports confirmed the equipment malfunctions, but they failed to explain the eerie timing of these breakdowns. It gnawed at him, the sense that he was missing a crucial piece of the puzzle.
That evening, while sitting at a café near the site, Hiromi sipped his coffee and reviewed his notes. The café’s warm interior was a welcome reprieve from the cold, damp chaos outside. He was lost in thought when a voice broke through his concentration.
“You’re looking rather troubled for someone with such a meticulous reputation.”
Hiromi glanced up, startled to see Her standing before him, her coat draped elegantly over her shoulders. Her tone was light, almost teasing, but there was an edge of seriousness in her eyes.
“And you’re remarkably well-informed for someone I’ve only just met,” he replied, gesturing for her to take the seat across from him.
She accepted the offer, her movements deliberate and graceful. “Reika Gojo,” she introduced herself, though her name felt like an understatement, a mere formality to the weight she carried in her demeanor. “It’s been a while since we last met, Mr. Higuruma. I hope you’ve made some groundbreaking developments in the case.”
Hiromi arched an eyebrow. “And why would you be interested in that?”
“Let’s just say I’m interested in what’s happening there,” she said smoothly, her voice betraying no hint of her own frustrations. “I’ve seen too many people dismiss the workers’ fears out of hand.”
“Fear can be persuasive,” Hiromi countered. “But it doesn’t always mean there’s something to fear.”
Reika’s gaze held his, unwavering. “And what if it does?”
Hiromi leaned back, studying her. There was something about her—an air of authority that demanded respect, yet she seemed entirely out of place in this setting. “What’s your stake in this? You’re not a worker. You’re not an engineer.”
“Let’s just say I have a vested interest in understanding what’s going on,” she replied. “And I think you do too, even if you won’t admit it.”
Hiromi hesitated. Her words were sharp, but there was no malice in them, only a quiet conviction. “If you’ve got something to add, I’m listening.”
Reika leaned forward slightly, her tone softening but losing none of its weight. “This isn’t just about faulty equipment or frightened workers. There’s something older, something buried, that doesn’t want to be disturbed.”
Hiromi’s eyes narrowed, skepticism flashing across his face. “You’re talking about... what? Spirits? Curses?”
Reika smiled faintly, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I’m talking about history, Mr. Higuruma. And history has a way of leaving scars when it’s ignored.”
For a moment, the café buzzed around them, an inconsequential backdrop to the charged silence between their words. Finally, Hiromi broke the silence. “If you’re asking me to believe in fairy tales, you’ll have to do better than that.”
“I’m asking you to keep an open mind,” Reika said, rising from her seat. “And to consider that the answers you’re looking for might not fit neatly into a legal brief.”
As she walked away, Hiromi watched her go, annoyance mingling with a reluctant curiosity. Whatever her motives, she wasn’t like anyone he’d encountered before. And for reasons he couldn’t quite articulate, he felt a growing need to know more.

i wonder if i should keep her nameless....

Megumi just casually tries to change the rules of a deadly game because of Yuji. Yeah, he's down bad y'all
Ok so I found myself randomly thinking about this panel. By the Culling Games original rules, you wouldn't be able to survive unless you klled other people. Because that's the only way to score points, and the penality for not abiding to this rule... well, is death.
This is inevitable not only in the game, but in the whole jujutsu world as well. Megumi, Yuuta and the others probably wouldn't have trouble with this rule. Megumi makes that clear for himself
But that's different for Yuuji. Megumi knows. He doesn't want to end other people's lives by his own hands unless he has no other choice. EVEN if he has no other choice.
So, when he knew about the rule, he looked depressed. Having to do it again, specially after what happened in Shibuya... Megumi knew Yuji wouldn't react well. So when he says he had a few ideas, I'm pretty sure Yuji was on his mind, as well as Tsumiki, since he didn't want his sister to participate in this massacre. He also wouldn't allow Yuji getting even more distressed by being forced to trade others lifes for his own.
He later reveals the idea of adding a rule to allow points exchange between players and another one to use points to get a player (Tsumiki) out of the game. (The latter didn't play out well, but... yeah let's not talk about that)
The point I'm trying to make is, Megumi knows how Yuji values life. And given the situation, took him no time to start plotting a way out, an alternative to keep Yuji away from doing what he dispises the most without needing him to give up on the game (and his life, since they were demanded to participate in the brutal game anyway). My personal theory and interpretation is... I believe he did this for Yuji's sake, above anything else. He cares so much for this little guy... he really does.
"So start by saving me, Itadori."
I love them
