i feel like no one talks about how hard it is to play video games with chronic pain

like, animal crossing happy home paradise makes my wrists hurt like hell after one(1) house decorated. i can't play mario kart without the auto-accelerate feature for longer than 30 minutes. don't get me STARTED on rhythm games.

i have a tremor too and that has its own set of challenges, such as motion controls, aiming (specifically in Pikmin 2 i cannot aim for shit), and if it's bad enough on a given day accidental button inputs

there's not a lot that game designers and developers can do about those sorts of issues really, it's no wonder i dont hear it talked about much. kind of a moot point though

not even trying to complain here just opening a topic. if anyone has similar experiences i would love to hear them

10.08.2024 - it's been a long day and I'm exhausted. I'm not even sure why, but I'm going to spend some time with Tears of the Kingdom and reading my book before heading to bed. I just about saved my bed from the tea after taking this picture, thank god I hooked my switch up to the dock before nearly chucking it over everything!

i wanted to say since theyre putting slightly more focus on donkey kong i hope they port donkey kong jungle beat to the switch but i realized if they do, it will just be the wii remake and not the bongos

it is so fucking funny to me every day that nintendo marketed controller vibration as a new, exciting feature by giving it a dumb name and EVERYONE bought into it.

I distinctly remember watching people go "woaw i can really feel the HD RUMBLE™... so cool..."

Why does Retroflag have completely perfect analog sticks and C-sticks for modern Gamecube repros but they don't license them out or sell them to other manufacturers for their own, I love these things. I asked Retroflag for a spare set of them and they happily sent them along for "free" (pay shipping only) and I dumped them into DOYOKY Retro joycons for Gamecube authenticity.

All they use them for is their Gamecube themed slide-in Switch controller!!!!!!! I want billions of spares of them so I can slot them into ANY Gamecube themed controller because they all fit modern stick boxes just fine.

i know third party switch games tend to be Not Great but does anyone else have issues with sonic origins plus specifically? because in cd, sonic just will not jump sometimes, and i dont know if its the joycons or the game

The switch 2 reveal looks soooo unimaginative and almost fake. Like here's the switch, we made it a bit bigger and it'll play switch 1 games* but it's basically the same thing again!

*but not all of them and we won't elaborate until after you've pre ordered!
