The Secret police had their faces covered and grabbed her without identifying themselves. When challenged they eventually said what agency they were from but didn't show proof or give their names.
They did this terrible thing because of her political views in clear violation of her 1st Amendment rights.
She broke no laws in the United States and will be in danger if returned to Russia because of her opposition to their invasion of Ukraine.

micro crimping really changed the ballroom hair landscape. i remember when i first started seeing it, i thought it was nets making that texture. nope, nets are only on the buns. people were just so tired of the wet shellacked look, that this is now all the rage.

“Jason never faced any consequences for his actions!” I mean… he died twice, went to Arkham, went to jail, got exiled from Gotham (beaten plenty), got chemically lobotomized and died again, and even then I’m probably leaving out some things… But I understand the sentiment! It’s only natural to be frustrated when a guy who hurt others (especially those you like) is still walking free, never experiencing any permanent repercussions. Oh wait—

words can't describe how much I love these dorks, help.
It's probably an unhealthy obsession at this point. My family doesn't understand and I have a hard time talking to people who do, lol.

My understanding of Dante is that he has a lot of noble ideals, but he doesn't always live up to them. He's a hypocrite. And I think that's very human of him.
Dante thinks the love between his mother and father was a beautiful thing that's worth celebrating, even if it was probably doomed from the very start, and it ended in tragedy not only for her, but for himself and his brother. And yet, even though Nero can protect himself and wants some kind of relationship with Dante, he hid the truth of their relationship for years in a misguided effort to protect Nero.
Dante has shown compassion to demons who live peacefully in the human world, including Trish, Lucia, Brad from the 2007 series, and there are probably more that I don't know about. Trish is a particularly noteworthy case, since she acted maliciously against him, but after she proved her capacity for good she became perhaps his most trusted ally. And yet, he won't give himself the same chance, he lives a solitary life with very few friends, and keeps the friends he does have at arm's length.
I don't think it's as simple as Dante hating his demonic side, the way Vergil hates his human side in DMC5. But in the same way that Vergil felt like an "incomplete being" in Arkham's words during DMC3, I think Dante himself feels... "Subhuman", you could say. Like he doesn't truly belong anywhere, like it's not his destiny to be happy.
It's because of his demonic nature that he inherited his father's enemies, and so many who got close to him had their lives ruined or were even killed, and it's because of his human nature that knowing that hurts so much.
He's good at heart, but also has so much trauma and a really bad case of survivor's guilt. And because of that he acts like an asshole to the people he loves sometimes.

“My duty is to call it out” Judge Young, who was appointed to the federal bench by Ronald Reagan in 1985, called the terminations “arbitrary and capricious.” But he went further than other judges in the many impoundment suits, calling the administration out for its flagrant animus against racial and sexual minorities. “I am hesitant to draw this conclusion — but I have an unflinching obligation to draw it — that this represents racial discrimination and discrimination against America’s LGBTQ community,” he said, according to Politico. “That’s what this is. I would be blind not to call it out. My duty is to call it out.“
* Some days I’m proud of my chosen profession. Trump’s abuse of the law made lawyers cool again.

POV: You just got apprehended by your own lawyer.
Chimmy Changa spent his early years as a Public Defense Lawyer. He had to get really into shape because. For some reason. He kept getting clients who'd bolt from the court room.
