Part 1 - Part 12 - Part 14

It had been a few days since Chaerin had seen or heard from Kiseung and Hyomin. Nari had tried to get a hold of them to see when they would come back home, but they weren’t even talking to her.
Chaerin also hadn’t seen Jungkook in a while since he had been busy the last few days. Needless to say, she had been feeling really lonely the past few days. She would sometimes go to hang out with Nari and even Taehyung at some points, but she couldn’t help but miss her two other friends.
For the first time in what felt like months, Jungkook stopped by the coffee shop to talk to her. He had definitely been more of a boyfriend to her through texts while checking on her to make sure she was okay, but he didn’t seem to treat her different in person. The only things he did differently were all verbal. She kept telling herself that it was just because they had been in public every time they had talked in person since that night.
He had just left the shop when the door opened again. Chaerin sighed as she prepared to tend to the customer. She needed to shake off of the negative feelings she was having from being around Jungkook. He was frustrating her to no end with this game of back and forth.
She was about to say something and look up at the customer, but she stopped short at who was in front of her.
“K-Kiseung…” Chaerin’s face turned from exhausted to panicked and apologetic. Kiseung didn’t have an expression on her face as she looked down at the counter and leaned her elbows on it.
“I’ve missed you. I’m willing to listen to the whole story.” she spoke, still looking at the counter. Chaerin was surprised, but she nodded in response.
“O-Of course! Just let me tell my boss I’m taking my lunch break,” she rushed to the back before having a seat with Kiseung in the front.
It was awkwardly silent between the two as Chaerin took a deep breath. She began explaining the whole story to Kiseung as she just listened to what Chaerin was saying. She didn’t give any feedback, but her blank expression would change every so often to upset or confused at certain events.
Chaerin was finally getting to the end of the explanation where Jungkook made out with her that night yet now he’s been acting weird ever since, but Kiseung finally started to speak up.
“I’m not mad at you, Chae,” she started before swallowing, “I understand the whole thing… I just wish I could have been a good enough friend to be able to tell this information to. I shouldn’t have pushed you so hard…”
Chaerin was surprised at Kiseung’s confession, “Wh-What? No, you don’t need to say that. If anything, you being pushy was a blessing in disguise. I wouldn’t have kissed Jungkook in the first place and he wouldn’t have said all those-”
“Just let me feel bad, Chaerin,” Kiseung finally looked up at her with a sad look, “Nari actually told me the whole story already, along with Hyomin. I just wanted to see how you would describe everything.”
“O-Oh. I didn’t know Nari uh… told you.” Chaerin silently scolded her friend in her head before Kiseung broke her from her thoughts.
“When Nari told me, it made me feel like a lot of this had to do with me. I wanted to hear you say it to see if it really was,” she trialed off for a second, “And now that I’ve heard the story from both of you, I feel bad. I just want to be a friend you can trust from now on.”
“Kiseung,” Chaerin practically cried, “Kiseung, I can trust you. I was just being immature when I decided to trick all of you. It’s not your fault-”
“Shut up, Chaerin. Just let me be upset,” her tone was light yet also angry as she took a deep breath, “Can I hug you?”
Chaerin let a soft smile appear on her face, “Of course. You don’t need to ask for permission.”
Kiseung got up out of her seat and slid in the booth next to Chaerin. They silently hugged each other for a few seconds before Kiseung spoke up.
“You and Jungkook are a cute couple. I don’t care if he has a marriage deadline, I think you two belong together.”
Chaerin’s face began to heat up as she let out a giggle, “Oh hush, you have your own wedding to worry about. Don’t worry about me-”
“Omo!” Kiseung pulled away and placed her hands on Chaerin’s upper arms, “We could have our weddings at the same time! Like a two-in-one deal!”
Chaerin’s eyes widened, “Kiseung, that would be a disaster.”
Her friend just laughed it off and shrugged, “But it would be cute.”
“I’d rather have an ugly wedding than have a cute one if that’s what it takes,” Chaerin laughed as her friend playfully frowned.
She missed Kiseung a lot more than she thought she did.
After what felt like forever, all four of the friends were back in the same living quarters. Chaerin was afraid things would seem strained, but even Hyomin who was hard on everyone had forgiven her quickly.
Everything seemed to be going well until Chaerin realized Jungkook only had three more months until his marriage deadline. He had been avoiding talking about it for so long while also giving her short kisses rather than the long ones he had been giving her the first time they made out. She tried to not think anything of it, but it was really bothering her.
She was starting to get really worried that he had regretted saying all the stuff he had to her and that he would find someone else to marry, but her worries disappeared one night when he asked her to come over. He was holding a small party at his office for Yoongi’s birthday and he asked her to come celebrate with them.
She was taking deep breaths to calm her nerves as Jungkook pulled into the parking lot of the building. She hadn’t ever been to his workplace before and it was weird to have just now visited it. Jungkook looked over to her and grabbed her hand. Her heart began to race as she looked in his direction. He held her hand all the time while at the coffee shop, but he never gave her the look he was giving her right now as he did it.
Her face heated up as she smiled at him and gave his hand a light squeeze.
“I was going to ask you earlier but I forgot…” he started to speak as he lightly pulled on her arm. She moved closer to him as her anticipation grew. Not only did she want to know what he was about to say, but she was dying for him to kiss her.
“What’s that?” she asked after Jungkook started to pull her hand up to his mouth. He gave it a light kiss and looked at her again. She could have sworn he was just teasing her by kissing somewhere other than her lips.
“I have a business trip to New York next week, and I’ll be gone for the whole week…” Chaerin tried to keep her face from frowning as she let him finish, “but I also understand that this is your Spring Break, correct?”
Chaerin nodded, knowing very well it was. She was extremely happy to get a week off of school since her early morning classes were draining her amount of sleep.
Jungkook smiled, “So, I guess if you could, would you want to come with me?”
Chaerin’s eyes widened as she felt excitement growing in her. A week in America? A week on vacation? A week with Jungkook? That sounded like paradise to her…
She had a huge smile on her face as she nodded excitedly, “Yes- yesss! I would love to!”
Jungkook let out a little giggle and placed another kiss on the back of her hand. A smirk grew on his face as she gave him a disapproving look. “The guys are also coming along. I’ll have a few meetings through the week since it is a business trip, but I’ll have a good bit of free time. I wouldn’t have asked you to come if I wouldn’t be able to spend time with you of course…”
Chaerin ignored the blush on her face as she just continued to give him a disapproving look. He looked amused and satisfied with her expression, but he finally gave in to what she was wanting.
He leaned in slowly and stopped right in front of her lips. His eyes were lost in hers as their breath brushed against the other’s skin. Chaerin was both growing impatient and content with where she was now. She loved looking into his eyes, and it was very easy to get lost in them.
After a few seconds, his eyes slowly closed and he pressed his lips to hers. Once again, the kiss was better than the last, even though they had just gotten started. Her eyes closed at the contact before kissing him back.
The two of them were getting lost in the moment as they softly kissed one another. Chaerin couldn’t help but smile against his lips as she had finally gotten what she was wanting. She didn’t know she could miss someone’s lips so much.
All too soon, Jungkook pulled away from the kiss and opened his eyes. He admired Chaerin for a few seconds as a smile was appearing on his face. Once her eyes opened, he almost pretended that the moment hadn’t even happened. He backed away to lean against his seat and turned off his car. She tried to not feel disappointment at how quickly Jungkook had pulled away and acted like it never happened. Something was up with him, and she was afraid to find out what it was.
She followed him by getting out of the car and standing in front of the hood next to him. He slowly grabbed her hand and began walking towards the building. Feeling his hand in hers was nice, but her mind couldn’t help but worry about the kiss.
As the doors opened to the building, she shook all the thoughts away. Part of her really wanted to seek Taehyung out and ask him if he knew anything was wrong…
She looked up at Jungkook and watched him as he politely smiled and bowed at a few people they passed. What was up with him?
It had been nearly an hour since the two of them arrived. Chaerin had talked to a few people throughout the night, but none of the conversations were all that noteworthy. She hadn’t even seen Jungkook’s friend Yoongi who was the reason this party was being held, but she just assumed that he was busy.
She was currently sitting down with Jimin, Taehyung, and Hoseok as they talked about something Chaerin wasn’t paying attention to. Her attention was on Jungkook who was across the room with Namjoon, Seokjin, and someone she didn’t recognize.
“Hey, Chaerin?”
Chaerin snapped back into reality as she turned back to the three guys she was with. Hoseok let out a little laugh as she blushed.
“Is something bothering you? Or did you just want to stare at Jungkook?” Hoseok tried to hold back from laughing anymore than he already was since she looked a little uncomfortable and flustered.
“Uh, I was just deep in thought,” she shrugged. Taehyung was looking at her carefully as if trying to read her. She looked to Jimin who was watching her and smiled when their eyes locked.
“Jungkook was lucky to find someone nice and pretty like you,” he sent her an eye smile as she ended up smiling back at him.
“Th-Thank you,” she blushed as Jimin winked at her. He seemed to be really proud of himself.
“But really,” Taehyung leaned back against the booth seat they were in as his eyes stayed on the girl next to him, “what did Jungkook do? You seem to be upset while watching him.”
Chaerin tried to shrug off his accusation, “He didn’t do anything.”
“Bull,” Jimin raised his eyebrows, “When you were with him earlier, you seemed really sad. I would have asked you if you were okay if I knew you a little better.”
Hoseok agreed with the two of them, “Jungkook even asked me if you seemed upset to me. He’s too shy to even ask his fiance if she’s alright… that kid.”
“I'm fine,” she smiled at them, but they didn't seem to be buying it.
“Chaerin,” Taehyung frowned and wrapped an arm around her, “did you forget that I'm your friend? And I could tell Nari that something’s wrong with you and she’ll start-”
“Okay, fine,” she frowned and tried to move Taehyung’s arm off of her, but his arm didn't move at all.
“Okay, so what did he do?” Hoseok asked as he and Jimin put their elbows on the table in front of them and leaned forward.
Chaerin backed away subconsciously but it just made the two if them laugh, “W-well… he just hasn't been a f-fiancé to me recently…” she was careful with her words so that they didn't find out that they were originally fake. Jimin frowned at what she said.
“Like what? Is he not telling you he loves you?” Jimin asked as he glared a little bit in Jungkook’s direction.
“N-no, he is. He just isn't...uh… kissing me. Even when he does, he becomes kind of distant after it.”
It was silent for a few seconds as the three guys glanced at each other. Almost as if they silently spoke to each other, they all started laughing at the same time. Chaerin was not amused that they found it funny.
“Chaerin-ah, that’s just because Jungkookie is awkward around girls,” Jimin giggled as he bit his lip. “He makes it seem like he’s confident, but on the inside, he’s clueless to what he’s doing.”
Hoseok lightly grabbed her hand across the table, “If anything, this is a great sign. It just means that you mean a lot to him and he doesn't want to mess up with you.”
Chaerin felt her face heat up as her eyes moved toward Jungkook. His eyes happened to be looking her way already when their eyes met. He sent her a soft smile before turning back to his friends to tell them something. Chaerin was about to look back at the boys around her when she noticed Jungkook was heading their way.
Taehyung removed his arm from around her and leaned to whisper something in her ear, “He would find it hot if you made the first move. I think he's secretly a sub.”
Chaerin’s eyes widened and she hit Taehyung. He had a satisfied look on his face as he noticed her face was entirely red. He let out a slight laugh and held up his hands to signal surrender. “I'm just saying…”
“Well don't,” she snapped quietly as Jungkook arrived at the table and slid into the corner booth next to Chaerin.
He placed a soft and short kiss on her cheek and smiled at her as she turned to him. He noticed her face was very red, but he decided to ignore it for the moment.
Jungkook was about to open his mouth to say something but was interrupted when the birthday boy himself ran (yes, he ran!) up to the table.
“Hyung!” Jimin smiled, “I was wondering where you’ve been! None of us have seen you all night!”
He took a second to catch his breath as his cheeks heated up slightly, “uh, I fell asleep while uh… working. I had to hurry and finish everything before heading down here.”
Hoseok tried to hold back a few laughs, but the maknae line held back nothing as they laughed at their Hyung.
“Omo, how did you fall asleep?” Jungkook asked through his laughs and Yoongi slid into the booth next to Hoseok.
“That doesn't matter,” he muttered, “I just want to sit here with you guys and maybe have a few drinks.”
Taehyung raised his eyebrows, “there’s alcohol here?”
Hoseok looked at him with raised eyebrows, “you didn't know?”
Taehyung looked down at the table and then over to the kitchen. If he hadn't been in the very middle of all of them, he probably would have ran over to the alcohol. “Ah, of course I did.”
“Sure,” Jimin chuckled and rolled his eyes.
Chaerin looked over at Yoongi and smiled at him, “Happy Birthday, by the way. I didn't want to be rude and not say anything since you were kind enough to invite me.”
Yoongi smiled at her, “thank you.”
Taehyung frowned at that, “Oh, you invite Jungkook's girl but not mine?”
Yoongi lightly glared at Taehyung, “you didn't tell me you had one, so I didn't think to invite someone I didn't know existed.”
Taehyung was about to argue, but shut his mouth when he realized he hadn't necessarily told Yoongi he had a girlfriend. He had only told Jimin and Hoseok, and they only just found out tonight.
Jungkook slightly bumped Chaerin’s shoulder as she looked in his direction. He leaned in to whisper something in her ear as Chaerin heard Taehyung’s inappropriate words run through her head again.
“I think he’s secretly a sub.”
She tried to push that thought to the very back of her head as Jungkook whispered in her ear.
“I'll be ready to go whenever you want. The guys will probably start to get drunk soon, and I don't need to be tempted. I still have to drive you home after all.”
Once he finished whispering, he pulled away and looked at her. To her dismay, her face was red all over again thanks to what Taehyung said. Jungkook was about to say something about it, but Jimin saved Chaerin’s day with his next words.
“Hey Kook, who do you think can drink more, me or Yoongi Hyung?”
Jungkook looked at his hyungs and smiled, “I don't know. You two really shouldn't get drunk because you have to drive.”
“That’s why you’ll be here to drive us,” Yoongi looked at Jungkook as he said that. Jungkook was about to protest, but he knew Yoongi would just pull the birthday card.
He sighed and looked to Chaerin apologetically. She just smiled to him to tell him it was okay. If she really wanted to go home bad enough, she’d call one of her friends to drive her home.
About an hour and ten shots later, Jimin and Yoongi were both a drunk mess. Taehyung and Hoseok didn't drink too much, but they drank enough for it to be considered illegal to drive.
Seokjin and Namjoon didn't drink much since they knew the others would need rides of home, but Chaerin caught Namjoon sipping Taehyung’s beer every once in a while.
“I think everyone is about done for the night,” Jungkook spoke as he glanced at Jimin. Jungkook was perfectly sober, but Chaerin could tell he didn't necessarily want to be. She caught sight of him watching Jimin drink with a frown on his face, but she just left it alone. Part of her felt bad, but the other part of her was proud that he was able to stay away from the alcohol even though he wanted it so bad.
“I think so, too. I'm about done with them,” she let out a little laugh, “I feel like Jimin is just making up songs to sing at this point.”
Jungkook laughed and nodded, “yep. He likes to sing when he’s drunk. All I have to say is thank God he has a good voice.”
Chaerin smiled at Jungkook and let out a little giggle, “Yeah. He told me you don't sing bad, either.”
Jungkook’s eyes widened and he gave Jimin a slightly murderous look. “O-oh? It’s not great, but it's not bad.”
Chaerin watched him with an amused smile, “I want to hear you one day. Actually sing, I mean. I've heard you hum, but I wanna heard you full on sing.”
Jungkook slightly blushed as he took a deep breath, “maybe I'll take you to the karaoke bar one day.”
Chaerin’s nose scrunched up, “but drunk people like to sing there, and it sounds terrible. Kiseung took me one time and everyone who sang was drunk and tone-deaf.”
Jungkook laughed, “then I guess you’ll never hear me sing.”
Chaerin crossed her arms across her chest and slightly pouted, “but what about for a birthday present? My birthday is in a few days.”
Jungkook eyed her carefully, “that's all you’d want? No diamonds? No jewelry? Just that I sing to you?”
Chaerin sighed and frowned as her eyes caught sight of Hoseok and Seokjin trying to pull Yoongi off of the floor. “I'm not into all of that stuff. You’ve gotta remember, I don't love you because you're rich.”
Jungkook blushed and smiled. His arm wrapped around her waist as he pulled her to stand in front of him. He sent the the most genuine smile that had ever been on his face as they stared into each other's eyes.
“And that is one of the reasons why I love you…”
Chaerin’s breath hitched in her throat as his soft blush and smile made her heart race. He looked so good in the light they were in, and with his cute smile, she couldn’t help but smile back and lean her forehead against his. She relaxed in his arms as she closed her eyes and sighed. Being with him was like being in a dream…
“Jungkook…” she sighed as he just continued to watch her. He was taking advantage of being able to take in all of her features, and the longer he stared, the longer he wanted to stay the way they were all night.
She opened her eyes to look at him when he didn’t reply, and he seemed to shy away from looking at her like he had been when she wasn’t looking. Chaerin smiled at his sudden shy attitude and put a hand on his cheek. He leaned into her touch as she stood up on her tiptoes to kiss his forehead. He let out a sigh at the feeling of her lips on his forehead as his eyes moved to glance at her lips.
She caught the sight of him glancing at her lips as she gained a surge of confidence. Before she thought much on it, she pulled him completely against her and pressed her lips against his. He stiffened for the first few seconds of contact, but he quickly got used to it as his arms wrapped around her to keep her body against his.
Her lips smiled against his as he started to gain more confidence and lean into the kiss more. His hands that were on her back began to squeeze her shirt and he bit her lip softly. He didn’t place his tongue in her mouth like she thought he would, but he did deepen the kiss even further. Chaerin never wanted that moment to end as he began slightly panting against her lips as they would part for a few seconds before starting again. She started calling herself crazy for ever second guessing the fact that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him...
She probably would have kissed him for so much longer if it hadn’t been for the fact that Jungkook’s drunk friends brought them back to reality.
“Oooo, get it Jungkook!” Jimin howled as Yoongi let out some little giggles.
“I bet the little maknae isn’t so pure anymore,” he hiccuped before pointing to Jungkook’s lower region, “I can practically see the loss of his innocence.”
Jungkook’s face heated up as he cleared his throat and scratched his head. Chaerin didn’t dare even look in fear that her face would never return to it’s normal color.
“Alright…” Seokjin laughed nervously as he picked Jimin up, “It’s about time we started to take you guys home.”
“Definitely,” Jungkook mumbled before heading over to Yoongi. He slightly flicked him in the head before helping him up.
“Yah, flick me again,” Yoongi wobbled a little as Jungkook was struggling to get him up, “and I’ll- I’ll…”
Yoongi didn’t finish his sentence as he let out a little groan and leaned back on Jungkook. Jungkook rolled his eyes and moved Yoongi’s arm around his shoulder to keep him up.
After all the boys moved to the parking lot, they decided who would go with who. Jungkook decided to take Jimin since he was still mad at Yoongi for his comments, and Taehyung volunteered to go with them since he was too drunk to drive himself. Hoseok decided to ride with the hyung line since it would make the amount of people in the cars about equal.
They all said their goodbyes and pulled out of the parking lot, taking their separate routes in the process.
“Jungkookieeee…” Jimin whined from the back seat as Jungkook glanced at him through the rear view mirror. “Can I just crash at your place? I’ll need a ride to work, anyway…”
Chaerin let out a little giggled as Jungkook groaned, “Seriously Hyung?”
“Me too…” Taehyung frowned and gave a little pout, “It'd be great to have a ride in the morning since my car is at the building.”
“You too, Taehyung?” Jungkook frowned and Chaerin just giggled.
“If you don't take them in, I will. I wouldn't mind giving them rides to work tomorrow since I'm not busy.” She smiled back at the two of them and Jimin let out a little giggle.
“Aish, fine. I'll take them…” he sighed and made his way to Chaerin’s road instead of Jimin’s.
“Aw… I wanted to go to Chaerin’s place…” Jimin whined from the back seat, “it sounds comfy.”
“Too bad.”
Chaerin frowned and turned back around to Jimin, “I'll let you sleep over if you really want to Jiminie~.”
Jungkook blinked for a few seconds, “-mwoh? Did I just hear you right?”
Chaerin laughed and looked over at Jungkook, “My older brother would get drunk like this all the time and I'd take care of him. Jimin kinda reminds me of him.”
Jungkook still didn't look pleased, “that's no reason to have a guy sleep over at your apartment… especially if you don't know him well.”
“I wanna stay there, too!” Taehyung laughed before leaning forward, “we should have a sleepover at Chaerin’s!”
“Aniyo!” Jungkook cried as Chaerin just huffed and crossed her arms across her chest.
“Fine. But I’m really mad at you.” she turned toward the window with her back facing Jungkook. Jimin and Taehyung let out a few “oooo”s and not so quietly told Jungkook he was in trouble.
Jungkook looked at Chaerin and felt a sigh escape his lips, “Chaerin… don’t do this.”
“If Taehyung and Jimin can’t stay over then I will stay like this.” she mumbled just loud enough for Jungkook to hear.
“Just let us stay Kookie~,” Taehyung placed his head on the side of Jungkook’s seat before Jungkook shoved his head off, “We won’t do anything stupid.”
“You have a girlfriend over there. It’s not good for you to stay over there while half drunk.” Jungkook continued to protest as everyone in the car groaned. If only he wasn’t the one driving…
“I won’t do anything!” he cried as Jimin lightly flicked Jungkook in the back of the head.
“Your girlfriend is upset with you and this is how you deal with it? Give her what she wants.” he scolded with half lidded eyes. Chaerin glanced over the side of the seat to spot Jimin fall back against the back seat and almost fall asleep.
The car was silent for a few seconds as everyone was having their own little pity parties. Jungkook was the one to finally break the silence.
“...Fine. But I’m staying over there, too.” he mumbled as he pulled onto Chaerin’s road. The three others cheered and Jungkook pulled into a parking spot with an annoyed expression. Chaerin turned to him with a smile on her face and wrapped her arms around his right arm. She placed a quick kiss on his cheek and snuggled into his arm, causing him to lose his bad attitude in a matter of seconds.
A smile found its way on his face as he briefly kissed her lips, causing her to lean further into him. Once he pulled away, he looked into her eyes and sent her a soft smile that never failed to melt her heart.
“Aish, can you do that privately?” Taehyung complained as he opened his door and slid out of the car. The couple just laughed and pulled away to help get Jimin out of the car.
It took them longer to get Jimin to the apartment than they would like to admit, especially since he fell asleep halfway to the elevator. Once Chaerin finally unlocked the door, they all sighed in relief once he was finally laying on the couch.
“This kid…” Chaerin laughed and ruffled his hair. Taehyung giggled and plopped down on the smaller couch.
“He’s older than you yet you call him a kid?” he closed his eyes and leaned his head back against the couch. Chaerin just shrugged and nodded.
“I called my brother a kid all the time and he’s older than me,” she explained as Jungkook sighed.
“Why haven’t I heard you talk about your brother?” he asked as Chaerin took a deep breath.
“Oh, well…” she tried to laugh it off, but it was obviously forced, “He got kicked out of the house by my parents when they found out he drank all the time and brought girls back at some points. He cut us all out of his life. I don’t know anything about him anymore.”
Jungkook wrapped an arm around her as she tried to shrug off the situation. She hadn’t really thought much about it since a little after he left because it hurt too much, but since she was around drunk guys again for the first time since, it was hard to not think about it.
“I’m sorry, Chae…” he kissed the top of her head and she leaned into him. He was so good at making her feel so much better.
After setting up the sleeping arrangements, Jungkook and Chaerin sighed and sat down on her bed. It was nearly two in the morning and they were both exhausted.
“Are you sure you’re okay with sleeping in that recliner?” Chaerin asked as Jungkook slightly laughed.
“I’m fine. I would rather me sleep in the recliner than you sleep in it.” he nodded as Chaerin leaned back on her bed. She moved over a little and patted next to her to indicate that she wanted him next to her.
He smiled softly and laid down to face her. They exchanged smiles and Chaerin cuddled into him with a soft yawn.
“You should sleep,” Jungkook whispered and placed a kiss on her ear. A shiver ran down her back and she let out a little giggle.
“You should, too,” she spoke into his clothes. He chuckled and rested his chin on her head. They stayed like that for a few more minutes before Chaerin heard Jungkook breathing rhythmically.
She was about to just get up and move to the recliner that Jungkook said he was going to sleep on, but a thought occurred to her as she was about to do so.
You're going to be married to him soon, anyway… what harm is it to stay?
Her face flushed at the thought, but she made no attempt to get up. She couldn't tell if it was because she was tired or because she just really wanted to sleep with Jungkook.
Oh God that sounds bad. She closed her eyes really tight and felt herself moving away from him. She was too innocent to do something like that before marriage. She didn't want his friends to make any more jokes to embarrass them, so sleeping here would be a bad idea.
She quietly closed the door and made her way to the recliner. She plopped into it and grabbed the blanket that was hanging on the back of it. She was almost asleep in a matter of seconds until she heard Taehyung’s voice.
“You didn't want to sleep with him, huh?”
Chaerin sat up and glared at him and he just chuckled, “I don't want to hear anything from you. You could have snuck into Nari’s room.”
He frowned at her, “she doesn't even know I'm here cause she was asleep when we arrived.”
“Just leave it alone,” she whisper whined before laying back down. Her eyes closed and she was ready to fall asleep, but of course Taehyung wouldn't have that.
“So you're gonna do it, right? You're gonna marry him?”
Chaerin sighed and let out a little “hmm.” Taehyung just laughed.
“So enthusiastic.”
“Let me sleep, Taehyung.” She spoke through her teeth and the brunette shut up.
“Goodnight,” she sighed and closed her eyes. With a chuckle, Taehyung responded.
“Goodnight~.”

Tumblr media
(THIS GIF WCOIEHCSIKNDSSKDFHU)
I am so happy to be able to post this first scene because I almost cut it out. It’s one of my favorites in the whole story (I’m sorry Chim;; ) and it would have been cut if I hadn’t gotten all of the support for this story that I’ve gotten! Seriously, thank you to everyone who is reading right now, because you saved this story from being rushed to end!
Summary: Who knew that pretending to be in love could create such chaos?
Words: 4,200+ Genre: more fluffy fluff
Part 1 - Part 13 - Part 15
⇨ Masterlist ⇦
Chaerin was one of the first ones up that morning, which surprised her since she was the last to fall asleep. She didn't get much sleep, but she felt fine with the little amount of rest that she got.
Hyomin was the second one up, and when she left her room, she let out a little squeak. She was in a tank top and underwear, and she did not know there were boys in the living room.
She arrived in the kitchen minutes later as she scolded Chaerin for the situation.
Jimin was starting to wake up when the two were having a short conversation while waiting on some coffee. Chaerin rushed to his aid and gave him some medicine and water.
“Oh God, what happened last night?” He asked as he held his head in pain. Chaerin let out a little giggle.
“You and Yoongi had a drinking competition and got super drunk. You're at my place.” She explained. Jimin nearly spit out the drink he was drinking.
“Your- no! Jungkook will kill me!” Jimin cried out loud as Chaerin realized what he thought happened, “Why did you let me do anything to-”
Chaerin put a finger over his lips and was about to reply that nothing happened last night. She was literally a second away from telling him, but she thought it would be nice to mess with him.
“Shhh… Jungkook might hear you. He’s in the other room…” she shushed him, “I would hate if he found out that I cheated on him. He’d be so upset!”
“Jungkook is here?” His voice cracked as he looked at the door Chaerin pointed at in fear, “did he not see us?”
“He was too drunk to understand,” Chaerin frowned as she shushed him again. Jungkook was opening the door to her room and Jimin was in hysterics.
“Chaerin,” Jungkook pouted as Chaerin stood up, “why did you leave me alone last night?”
Jimin looked to Chaerin and looked even more horrified.
“The bed was too small…” Chaerin tried to shrug it off, but Jungkook knew that wasn't why. He figured it was just because she was uncomfortable with staying with him, so he let it slide.
Jimin looked like he was about to come out of his skin. Jungkook looked over to Jimin and let out a laugh, “How’s that hangover, Hyung?”
“Probably no better than yours,” Jimin replied nervously. Jungkook looked confused, but Chaerin gave him a look to play along with it.
“Ah… yeah,” Jungkook suddenly grabbed his head, “it hurts so bad… Chaerin, where is your medicine?”
Chaerin rushed over to him, “I’ll show you!” She gave Jimin a look as she pushed Jungkook in the direction of the kitchen and he was coming apart. He looked insanely nervous.
“What was that?” Jungkook frowned as they walked into the kitchen. Hyomin raised an eyebrow at the two of them as she sipped her coffee.
“I told Jimin that we had a one night stand,” she admitted as Hyomin spit her coffee back in her cup and Jungkook’s eyes widened.
“Wha- why?!” He didn't look pleased at all, but Chaerin was quick to defend her decision.
“Because he embarrassed me several times last night! He started assuming we did when I told him he was at my place and I just played along.”
It was silent for a few seconds as Hyomin gave her a smile. Jungkook still looked a little unsure until Jimin came rushing into the kitchen.
“Hey!” He nervously laughed, “wow look at you two! Aren't you two just the cutest!”
Jungkook gave Chaerin a look before deciding that he might as well have fun with it, too.
“Yep! It good that you know that. I'd kill you if any of you guys tried to hit on her.”
Jimin’s soul left his body at those words. He gave Chaerin a look, but she signaled for him to dial it down a little bit. Hyomin just stood and watched as Jimin became a nervous mess.
“W-well of course! I would never touch your girl! Not a hair on her head!” His voice cracked as Jungkook had to hold a laugh back.
“Good. I could never forgive you if you did.” He said with a serious tone. Chaerin felt a shiver run down her spine at how sincere the words seemed.
“Y-yeah.” Jimin nodded. He held his breath as he spun around and ran back into the living room. Chaerin had to hold back her laughs as she looked at Hyomin’s impressed look.
“Wow, Chae. I didn't know you could be so evil,” she laughed and placed her coffee mug in the sink, “I should wake Nari up so that she doesn't sleep in, she’s got to head to work soon.”
Chaerin nodded and watched her friend leave. Once Hyomin left the room, a sleepy Taehyung walked into the room.
“What the h*** is Jimin worried about?” He asked as he ran his hands through his hair. “By the way, do you have some mouth wash? I don't have a tooth brush, so it’ll have to be that.”
Chaerin giggled, “hold that thought and I'll go get some mouth wash.”
As she disappeared, Jungkook explained what happened to Taehyung. Taehyung agreed to pretend it happened as Chaerin rushed back into the room.
“Here,” she handed Taehyung the mouthwash and both him and Jungkook used some of it. Jimin shamefully walked back into the kitchen and asked to use some as well.
A few seconds later, Nari walked into the kitchen and nearly screamed at the sight of Taehyung.
“Omo! What are you doing in my kitchen?” She blushed and covered her face, “I'm not ready!”
Taehyung let out a little giggle, “long story short, Chaerin let Jungkook, Jimin, and I crash here since we were a little drunk.”
Jimin’s face went white as Chaerin sent him a signal to take some deep breaths to calm down.
“Okay!” She squeaked out before rushing back to her room. She didn't want Taehyung to see her before she got ready! She was so embarrassed that he saw her for as long as he did.
Taehyung just giggled at how cute she was before turning to look at Jimin who still looked as white as a ghost. He moved over to Jimin’s side as Jimin put the cap back on the mouthwash.
“Hyung~, we should leave these two alone and go talk in the living room,” he smiled as an arm moved around his smaller hyung. Jimin didn’t hesitate to agree as they moved out of the room.
Chaerin and Jungkook looked to each other and let out a few laughs, “Omo, that was so great…”
Jungkook nodded in agreement, “Though we should probably tell him the truth, soon. He’ll worry himself to death if we keep this up for too long.”
Chaerin let out another laugh, “I’ll tell him before you guys go to work, don’t worry.”
The room grew silent for a few seconds before Kiseung bursted into the kitchen. She had a huge smile on her face and she seemed really excited, and the couple looked really confused at her eagerness.
“Guess what?” she asked through her smile, “It’s only a month till my wedding! I’m so excited!”
Chaerin giggled, “Oh yeah. Are you even close to done with everything?”
“Well of course not. I won’t be done until the wedding is in action,” she sighed, “But you missy have a lot to worry about yourself.”
Chaerin raised her eyebrows and pointed at herself, “I do?”
“Yes!” Kiseung frowned, “You have to start planning your wedding! It’s approaching really fast!”
 Chaerin’s face heated up, “O-oh yeah…”
Jungkook grabbed her hand and watched her carefully. She seemed to be nervous more than anything, but he could hint a little doubt within her nerves. He gave her a soft squeeze which seemed to calm her down a little.
Before Kiseung could respond, a crash came from the kitchen. Jimin immediately apologized with a horrified voice and Jungkook had to hold back a laugh. Chaerin sighed and walked into the living room.
“What was- oh.” her eyes widened as she saw Jimin on the ground picking up pieces of glass that used to be his cup of water with his bare hands, “Omo Jimin! Stop that!”
“No- I’m sorry. I keep messing up your stuff I just- I’m sorry!” he cried and bowed from his position on the floor. Taehyung found it funny, but Chaerin was starting to really worry about him.
“Jimin-ssi! Stop touching that glass or I will stab myself with one of those pieces!”
“Absolutely not!” Jungkook yelled from the kitchen as he ran into the living room, “Hyung, put the glass down or I will strand you on the way to work!”
Jimin winced and dropped the glass which had already cut him a few times. Chaerin sighed and shook her head, “Omo Jimin-ssi… Come here with me. I have a first aid kit in the bathroom.”
Jimin stood up and shamefully followed her to the bathroom. Once they stepped inside, Chaerin pulled the kit out of the cabinet above the toilet.
 “Chaerin-ah… I am so sorry…”
Chaerin just giggled and shook her head, “It’s alright. You didn’t do anything to me last night.”
Jimin stayed silent as Chaerin placed a cotton ball covered in alcohol on his cut. He hissed and pulled away, “You’re serious?”
“Yes, now give me your hand-”
“Chaerin!” He cried, “You scared the s*** out of me! I thought I was going to die!”
She grabbed his hand and placed the alcohol on it again. He groaned, but he kept still, “I’m sorry, Jimin-ssi! I thought it would be a little funny, but once you cut yourself I started to feel really bad.”
Jimin pouted slightly, “If you think that is going to make up for everything, you’re wrong.”
Chaerin sighed and placed some neosporin on his cuts, “I know… Maybe if I buy you some ice cream?”
Jimin stayed silent for a few seconds, “What a childish offer.”
Chaerin poked his face with a pout, “I’m sorry~, please forgive me!”
Jimin turned away and sighed. He seemed to really be contemplating in his head and Chaerin found it cute.
“...Fine,” he sighed, “I forgive you. But I want that ice-cream.”
Chaerin giggled and gave him a slight hug before placing a bandage around his hand, “Thank you, Jimin-ssi! You’re so sweet.”
He just stayed silent as Chaerin finished wrapping the bandage around his hand. After a few seconds of silence, he quietly thanked her and they exited the bathroom shortly after.
The living room was emptier than expected as the two only spotted Jungkook and Kiseung. Chaerin was about to open her mouth and ask where Taehyung went, but before she uttered a word, a voice came from behind her.
 “Hey!”
Chaerin let out a little squeak as Taehyung’s laughed immediately followed her voice. She spun around on her heals and slightly glared at him as Jungkook and Jimin’s laughs filled the room.
“I was just saying hi,” Taehyung shrugged as Chaerin huffed and turned away from him, leaving him with a victorious smile on his face.
The room grew slightly quiet as words were exchanged between everyone. Jungkook and Jimin headed out merely minutes later with Taehyung and Nari in tow. Soon, the only people left in the living room were Kiseung and Chaerin.
Chaerin was about to just silently head out the door to her classes, but Kiseung’s voice brought her to a halt.
“Have you heard from your brother?”
Chaerin sighed and turned back to look at Kiseung. Kiseung looked but sad and worried as Chaerin tried to place a smile on her face, “No. I haven’t heard from him since my mom and dad kicked him out, remember?”
Kiseung just nodded and bit her bottom lip. Chaerin could tell that Kiseung was holding something back, but she was afraid to ask since they both needed to leave soon. She was about to just let the subject go, but Kiseung’s voice cut through the silence in the room once again.
“I was just wondering since I know you used to take care of your brother when he got drunk and everything,” she shrugged it off with a nervous laugh, “It would have been a weird coincidence if he had contacted you, wouldn’t it?”
Chaerin simply nodded while giving her friend a weird look. She knew she should have pressed for more from her, but she was going to be late if she didn’t leave soon.
“Yeah, I guess so.” she nodded again with her words, “But I’ve gotta head out. My class starts soon.”
Kiseung just nodded and watched as Chaerin left the building. Chaerin could feel the unease from Kiseung even after she had left the room, but she just had to shrug it off and head to class.
“Hey.”
Chaerin slightly jumped at the sound of Jungkook’s voice as her eyes moved to his figure. She had been lost in thought so much so that she didn’t even hear him come in. Jungkook just chuckled and moved some hair out of her eyes. “How are you doing?”
“Oh, uh… fine,” she tried to get her thoughts together as she looked at Jungkook. He found it cute that she seemed all over the place, but she felt so embarrassed.
“Mm,” he nodded before looking around the place. It was pretty much empty except for the two of them and the staff in the back, so he leaned closer to her.
He placed his lips softly on hers and moved his hand to her cheek. Her heart jumped at the contact, and before she could even attempt to lean into him and slightly deepen the kiss, he had pulled away. Their faces were still really close, and he ran his thumb up and down her cheek.
“You look nice today,” he complimented before placing another short kiss on her lips.
She smiled at him as he pulled away again and felt her previous thoughts go away. His sudden sweet behavior was odd, but she didn’t want to ruin the mood with thinking too much about it.
“Thank you,” she continued smiling and he moved away from her slightly. His elbows rested on the table and a sigh escaped his lips.
“Are you still fine with going to New York next week?” he asked as Chaerin immediately nodded.
“Of course. Why would I change my mind?” she asked as Jungkook took a deep breath. He seemed to be reluctant to reply, but he did anyway.
“I don’t know. I just want to make sure you’re still comfortable with it.”
Chaerin attempted to swallow the uneasy feeling that was creeping into her mind as Jungkook tried to place another natural smile on his face. “Well yeah… I still want to. It’ll be nice to spend more time with you.”
Jungkook’s smile became more natural and less forced as he grabbed her hand, placing a kiss on the top of it, “I want to spend more time with you, too… but right now I have to go.”
Chaerin felt a small frown appear on her face, “So soon?”
Jungkook smiled apologetically before leaning across the counter again and placing a kiss on her lips. His lips lingered on hers for a few seconds before he pulled away, “I’m sorry. It’s busy at work… I’m just lucky that I was able to get off long enough to see you.”
Chaerin nodded and called to him as he was heading to the door, “Don’t overwork yourself!”
“I won’t!” he called back as he rushed out the door. Chaerin sighed and watched him disappear from her sight. Her thoughts once again thought back on the trip that was happening soon… She should probably tell the girls that she wasn’t going to be home all week. Luckily her boss was kind enough to let her off, so it was almost confirmed that she was going.
Chaerin had been at work for only ten minutes when she felt her phone buzz in her pocket. Kiseung had been texting her wedding things all morning despite how she was supposed to be working.
She pulled out her phone to text Kiseung when the door opened again. She slid her phone into her pocket mid-text and looked up with a smile.
Once her eyes locked onto the two people in front of her, she relaxed slightly and sent them a warm smile.
“Hey Chaerin,” Jimin smiled and waved at her as Taehyung nodded and waved as well. Chaerin waved back at the two as they stopped in front of the desk.
“Hey guys,” she continued smiling, “Are you here for coffee or a chat?”
“Both?” Taehyung moved his head to the side, “I’ll have my usual.”
Chaerin put the order into the register before looking up at Jimin expectantly. He smiled and leaned on the counter, placing his elbows on it and laying his arms across each other.
“I’ll take a Hot Chocolate,” he sighed, “I’m not much of a coffee person.”
Chaerin nodded with a short laugh as she put in his order, “Alright~.”
“Uh, but you put us on the same ticket?” Taehyung asked as Chaerin nodded, pulling out her card and swiping it. Taehyung tried to stop her by moving his hand in her direction, but she had already swiped her card.
“Why did you just pay for our drinks?” Taehyung asked with a slight pout. Chaerin just laughed and shrugged.
“I owe Jimin and I thought I would pay him back by paying for this,” Jimin laughed, but Chaerin held up a finger, “But I haven’t forgotten about the ice cream.”
“Good,” he nodded, “I’ll be expecting some soon.”
Chaerin smiled and rung up the order and one of her co-workers began working on them. “Don’t worry, I’ll get you some, soon.”
“But you didn’t have to pay for mine,” Taehyung slightly pouted as Chaerin rolled her eyes.
“You’re acting like I just paid for your car or something,” she leaned back on the counter behind her as Taehyung wiggled his head a little bit.
“I just don’t like girls paying for my stuff. It makes me feel like I owe them.”
Chaerin raised an eyebrow, “Does this happen to you often?”
Jimin rolled his eyes, “Of course it doesn’t. But now he feels like he owes you, so you should take that and run with it.”
Taehyung knocked Jimin in the shoulder with an unamused look as Chaerin just laughed at the two, “I don’t care about making Tae feel like he owes me. I don’t like making people feel that way.”
“Well now you’ve made me feel that way,” he crossed his arms across his chest, “So I guess I’ll just have to pay you back with something in NYC.”
Chaerin’s eyes lit up at the mention of New York City as Jimin’s eyes widened, “Omo, you’re coming with us?”
Chaerin nodded, “Of course! Jungkook and I will soon be married, you know.”
Jimin laughed and nodded, “Oh right. Sometimes I forget that you two are more than just a fling.”
Chaerin’s eyebrows raised, “Fling? Even if we weren’t engaged, I wouldn’t call it a fling.”
Jimin’s face turned a light shade of red, “I didn’t mean to sound like I was degrading you, sorry… It’s just none of us in our circle of friends have had a serious girlfriend before now. It’s weird to know that Jungkook’s in one, but I guess he doesn’t have a choice.”
“Hey, I’m in one,” Taehyung slightly frowned, “Everyone keeps forgetting about me…”
“Well I mean!” Jimin laughed nervously, running his hand through his hair. He kept making mistakes with his wording and he tried his hardest to recollect himself. “I don’t know, I guess I forget that cause Jungkook’s situation is just hard to forget about. It’s still hard for me to believe that Jungkook found someone desperate enough to-”
Jimin cut himself off before he even finished his sentence as he hid his face in his hands, “I should stop talking. I feel like I’m offending everyone.”
Chaerin just laughed it off as she moved back up to the counter, “I understand why you feel that way, Jimin. I don’t take any offence to you thinking that I’m desperate.”
Jimin didn’t move his hands from his face, “I don’t think that! I guess I’m surprised with how real you are. I thought he was screwed in finding someone good for him, but he did a great job.”
Chaerin felt a blush appear on her face as she started thinking more about Jungkook. It is pretty insane how they ended up together through all of this, and it’s even more insane how compatible they are.
“I’m right with you Jimin,” Chaerin laughed and grabbed his arms, moving his hands from his face, “I didn’t think I would have fallen in love with him like I did, but things happened.”
Jimin didn’t dare to meet Chaerin’s eyes, “Yeah.” His voice was soft and unsure as Chaerin moved her hands from his arms. She heard one of her coworkers yell the number of the order as she spun around and grabbed them from the window that their orders had been placed on. She turned back around and handed the orders to their respective customers.
They both grabbed their orders with a smile, and Jimin was still trying to recover from making so many blunders a few seconds ago.
“Thank you~,” they both said at relatively the same time. Chaerin just nodded in response a they both took sips of their drinks.
“I hate to cut this short,” Taehyung frowned with a hint of a whipped cream mustache that Chaerin smiled at, “But we need to get to work soon. Jungkook needs us to help him on this big project coming up and I don’t want to leave him to work on it without us.”
Chaerin nodded in understanding as both boys quickly said goodbye and made their way out the door. It wasn’t until then that Chaerin noticed her phone was buzzing in her pocket, to which she pulled it out and saw a million messages from her friends’ group message. The conversation started out light hearted with talking about having a girls night out soon, but the conversation seemed to morph into a fight between Hyomin and Kiseung.
The two were arguing about something silly like what they were going to do after work, but that somehow brought up the fact that Hyomin and Mark had broken up. It was Hyomin’s decision to break up and Mark was taking it really hard, so Mark was giving Hyomin a hard time. Her reveal led to Kiseung calling her insensitive with her break ups, and Hyomin obviously didn’t like hearing that.
Chaerin’s eyebrows creased when she read the texts between them.
Hyomin: I’m sick of you thinking you know everything about relationships just because you’re the first one of us to get engaged!
Kiseung: But does that not make me more knowledgeable than you?
Hyomin: This conversation isn’t about knowledge in relationships, this is about my relationship with Mark and you trying to fix it even if I don’t want to fix it.
Kiseung: I just thought you finally really liked a guy enough to not throw him away, but I was wrong. Treating guys like this isn’t okay…
Hyomin: I’m not throwing him away, I’m just breaking up with him. There are no more feelings for him, so I told him that and now we’re over.
Kiseung: But he was so sweet and you’re treating him terribly…
Hyomin: Wouldn’t keeping him around be more cruel than being honest with him right now?
Kiseung: I just wish you were more gentle when you broke up with guys, especially when it seems to be all of the sudden like this was.
Hyomin: God, would you stop it? I don’t want to keep him around like some lovesick puppy. He needs to get over his feelings for me because I don’t feel like that for him anymore.
Kiseung: You’re too brutal…
Hyomin: I’m done talking to you. Don’t bother me when I get home because I’ll be even more pissy than I am right now.
Kiseung: Hyo, please…
Hyomin has left the group chat.
Chaerin took a deep breath as she put down her phone for a second. This day couldn’t get any weirder than it already was between her friends.
So just a warning, there is a possibility that I might have to miss a day or two on daily uploads do to a job I started this week. If that happens, I’ll have one shots to post in the place of chapters. I’m hoping that won’t happen, but I felt like I should say something just in case!

“I think this group date has been a success,” Jungkook smiled after they got in one of the small ferris wheel carts. His mood seemed to totally shift from what it was before they left to head here, and Chaerin was dying to ask why.
“I think so, too. I just hope Nari and Taehyung quit being suspicious of us…” Chaerin looked out the window to her right as Jungkook sat down on her left.
“Yeah…” he seemed to trail off at the mention of the two of them, bringing Chaerin back to the questions she wanted to ask him. Was he still upset about earlier?
“Is everything alright?” she asked as Jungkook looked at her for a second. He looked so defeated, and she started slightly panicking. Did Taehyung figure them out? Did Jungkook realize how bad this fake dating deal was?
Her heart could not take him backing out on her now; not after all that happened today.
Please God, do not let him slip away from me yet.
“It’s uh…” he looked to the floor as he scratched the back of his head. He looked almost sick as he looked out the window on the opposite side from her, “I’m uh… Afraid of heights.”
Chaerin paused for a few seconds before she felts a smile forming on her face. She covered her mouth to try and suppress some giggles that were trying to come out. He didn’t look in her direction as she grabbed his hand.
“Omo, you really scared me,” she held back the giggles as she sighed, “I thought Taehyung had said something to you about finding us out.”
Jungkook turned to her for a second before he swallowed his nerves, “No, he just told me about the ferris wheel thing and I didn’t want to seem pathetic for not going on it.”
Chaerin smiled at him and gave his hand a light squeeze. He was so cute! “I wouldn’t say you were pathetic, but I’m proud that you got on it anyway.”
Jungkook looked down at their hands for a few seconds as Chaerin looked at them as well. Her face began to heat up as she released his hand. She didn’t have an excuse for why she held his hand for so long since none of their friends could see them.
“U-uh,” she stuttered as he looked back at her, “Sorry…”
Jungkook looked into her eyes for a few seconds before sighing. She felt her nerves shoot straight up as she tried to ignore her fast heartbeat. She was both dying for him to say something and dying for him to not say anything…
He continued to look at her before she finally looked away, feeling really embarrassed for holding his hand for so long. Was he going to make it into a big deal or was he going to leave it alone?
“Have you ever been in love?” his voice came out of nowhere as Chaerin’s face heated up. Where did this come from?
“Uh, well…” she waited for a few seconds while trying to get her nerves together, “I have, yes.”
“Even though you’ve never actually dated anyone?” he asked before looking down at his hands.
“Well yeah,” she cleared her throat, “I’m just too shy to admit it to the person. It’s why I’m bad with relationships and why I stopped trying to be in one a long time ago.”
He looked in her direction once again, but she was looking out the window to avoid his eyes, “So you quit trying to date people because of an unrequited love situation?”
Chaerin took a deep breath as she looked in his direction. She tried to look at him, but instead she just looked out the window behind him. “Something like that. In high school, I really liked this popular guy because he talked to me a lot. I thought he liked me, especially after he asked me to prom.”
When she stopped, he looked at her features carefully. She was fighting something back as he waited for her to finish.
“But when we were at prom, one of his friends let it slip that he had made a bet. If he couldn’t get me to go to prom with him, he would lose.” she looked up at the ceiling and let out a pathetic laugh, “I left soon after that and didn’t ever say anything to him again. He didn’t seem to care since he never talked to me again after that. While I don’t think I completely loved him, it still embarrassed the h*** out of me. I pretty much decided I was going to push away any guy who seemed to have an interest in me so that I didn’t have to risk getting hurt again.”
Jungkook instinctively reached for her hand as her heart jumped. The aching it felt from the past memories seemed to be chased away by him simply holding her hand.
And in that moment, she realized something she didn’t want her brain to even start to think about. The pain she felt that night was nothing compared to the pain she would feel when she had to let go of Jungkook.
Her heart began to ache as he scooted closer to her. “I’m sorry about that… he’s an a**hole to make a bet like that.”
Chaerin just nodded in reply and he could tell she wanted to quit talking about him.
“But, you said you have been in love,” he started softly, “Can you describe to me what it feels like?”
Chaerin blinked a few times before she took a deep breath. How does she even describe something like that, let alone to the very person that she had fallen for?
“Well, love is more indescribable than anything. It’s like you’ve grown so attached to someone that you never want to let them go.The thought of being without them makes you sad, but the thought of being with them makes you so happy. It’s a feeling of constantly wanting to be a better person for them… and stuff like that. It’s hard to explain.” she nervously laughed at the end before daring herself to look up at Jungkook.
His eyes locked on her’s and she found herself not able to look away. He didn’t say anything for a few seconds as they just stared at each other.
“When did you know that you had fallen in love?”
She didn’t take more than a second before answering, “When I realized that my life would never be the same without him by my side.”
As if her words had casted a spell on him, he leaned forward and captured her lips with his. His free hand slid her against him as the kiss started out heated. Chaerin’s heart was practically in her throat as the feeling of his lips on hers made it jump. Their lips danced as the kiss went from slightly heated to very heated. It was filled with passion, love, and longing. It almost felt desperate; like if they pulled apart, they would never be able to kiss again.
Chaerin ran her fingers through his hair and sighed against his skin as she let him deepen the kiss even further than before. For the first time ever, he slightly bit her bottom lip, causing Chaerin to gasp in slight surprise. A smile was forming on Jungkook’s face as he slipped his tongue into her mouth, letting his dance with hers. She started to get a little nervous since she had never done something like this before, but all her nerves disappeared as Jungkook’s right hand was placed on the back of her neck while his left continued to hold her to him.
They slightly broke for air before Jungkook returned to kiss her again, making it soft and smooth; more calm than the first one they shared. His soft and short kisses lingered for a few seconds before he’d place another one.
His mind-blowingly sweet kisses had officially caused Chaerin’s brain to stop working as she just gave in to him. He was officially in total control over her. Her thoughts couldn’t even be processed as he nibbled on her lip again, asking for access once more.
The kiss felt far from over until Chaerin started to feel the ferris wheel come to a halt. The sound of the door opening caused her to jump and pull away from Jungkook. No one seemed to be paying much attention to the two of them, so she was hoping no one saw their sudden make out session in the ferris wheel car.
“Have a nice day,” the ride operator said as Chaerin gave him a small smile and practically rushed away from the ferris wheel. Since they had been the first ones to get on, they were also the first ones to get off, so they waited a few seconds for the next couple.
Nari sighed as she and Taehyung sat down on the left side of the car. She seemed to be deep in thought, and Taehyung slightly frowned.
“Are you alright?” he asked as he held her hand, tracing circles on the back of it.
“Yeah, I’m just really frustrated with Chaerin and myself for this situation,” she frowned, “I should have already confronted her. I need to talk to her about this whole situation because it’s driving me insane! We’ve been trying to-”
She was stopped short as Taehyung put a finger to her mouth. He didn’t look too happy, and she assumed it was because he felt bad that she was going through this ordeal with her friend.
However, his next words shocked her, “Can we please stop talking about Chaerin and Jungkook? I feel like it’s all we talk about.”
Nari’s eyes widened as she frowned and slightly bowed, “I’m sorry. I didn’t realize…”
“I want us to just be together and talk,” he sighed and placed a kiss on the back of her hand, “I feel like you forget that we’re not just dating to investigate our friends. I actually like you, Nari.”
Her face instantly grew hot as he looked into her eyes and sent her a soft smile. His smile was so cute and it could melt her in a matter of seconds.
Taehyung looked out the window as the car began to move once more after picking up more passengers at the bottom. He turned to look back at Nari and smiled at her embarrassed state.
“Ah, I’m sorry for blushing so much… It’s a problem,” she tried to laugh it off, but was cut short when Taehyung placed a soft kiss on the back of her hand again. Her blush got even worse as she tried to hide her face.
“No, don’t hide your cute face from me,” he pouted, but Nari refused to look up. She was was too embarrassed and hated him seeing her this way. “Jagiya~!”
Nari turned away from him, “Noo, I look stupid!”
“You look beautiful,” he didn’t waste any time replying as he forced her arms away from her face. It was a deep shade of red, and Taehyung smiled and kissed both her cheeks. “I love making you blush…”
“It doesn’t take much to…” she mumbled as Taehyung just giggled at her cuteness.
“Omo, how did I get so lucky to have you?” he asked as Nari just buried her face in Taehyung’s shoulder in embarrassment.
“If anything, I'm lucky to have you…” she said into his shirt as he chuckled.
“You're making my heart race too fast, Jagi~!” He whispered in her ear.
“Stoppppp!” She cried as she buried her head deeper into him. He just continued smiling and holding her with his head placed on hers.
They sat like that for a few minutes just enjoying each other’s company until they felt the Ferris wheel slow down. Nari looked up at Taehyung and they exchanged smiles.
“It's nice to just talk to you,” he smiled, “ I don't want you to focus too much on Chaerin and Jungkook while you're with me. I'll get jealous…”
Nari giggled and nodded, placing a soft kiss on his cheek. It was Taehyung’s turn to blush as he looked to the side. She just watched him for a few seconds before pulling away at the sound of the door opening. She noticed he was blushing as he stood up along with her to head out. It was very satisfying to see, so she started to understand why he liked making her blush so much… she’ll just have to get him back for it.
As Chaerin leaned against the rail behind her, Jungkook grabbed her hand with his. Her heart hadn’t calmed down since the hot make out session they had randomly had, and his hand in her’s just fueled its volume even more.
Her brain started to try and tell her to get away from him, but as the thought crossed her mind, she realized something.
She and Jungkook not only just kissed, but they made out.
They made out in an area where their friends couldn’t see them.
They made out after Chaerin had been explaining love to Jungkook.
They made out in the first place.
Her brain had been so fried from all the hurt and negativity, that it hadn’t even realized what all of this meant. She would have been stupid to not realize this; she was already stupid since it took this long for her to figure out.
Jungkook brought her out of her thoughts when his left arm moved around her again. Her heart refused to calm down as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead right before, emphasis on the before, Taehyung and Nari had stepped out of their ferris wheel car.
Once they stepped out, Nari and Taehyung joined the two of them. Jungkook took two seconds to notice the blush on his hyung’s face as they approached.
“Omo Hyung, what did you two do in there?” He laughed and Chaerin playfully hit him. Jungkook sent Chaerin a slight glare before grabbing her arm and yanking her in front of him. She squeaked and he smiled, snaking his arms around her from behind. He was slightly addicted to back hugging her after he did it a few hours ago.
“More of what did you two do?” Nari raised her eyebrows. It felt totally different being around them now; Chaerin seemed even happier than she already had been. Nari didn't even think that was possible.
“We talked,” Jungkook simply answered as Chaerin felt her face grow hot. That was definitely not the complete truth.
Nari noticed Chaerin’s flustered look at the question, but she decided to ignore it. She couldn't help but hear Taehyung’s voice in her head about them spending time together. She glanced up at him and he looked to her as well. They shared smiles before looking in the direction of the Ferris wheel.
Kiseung and Baekhyun were leaving it as they ran up to the other couples. Well actually, Kiseung was running while pulling a laughing Baekhyun behind her, finding her eagerness incredibly cute.
“That view was better than I remembered!” She gushed as the two stopped next to the others. Nari blushed slightly when she realized that she didn't even really look at the view. She was too focused on her boyfriend who was hard to ignore.
“Yeah, it was great,” Jungkook smiled as Chaerin’s face began to heat up. She wasn't sure how to feel about what he just said since she was sure that he wasn't paying attention to their surroundings.
“Agreed,” Taehyung nodded, smiling when Nari squeezed his hand harder than usual. He placed a short kiss on her head as Kiseung smiled at the two of them.
“Once Hyomin and Mark get out, we should get in line again,” Kiseung said excitedly as she grabbed Baekhyun’s arm, “and we should play some kind of game while we’re all together.”
“Game?” Taehyung sounded excited, “what kind of game?”
“Truth or dare?” Kiseung asked as Chaerin groaned.
“That's so old,” she frowned, but Taehyung and Nari seemed excited about it.
“I'm fine with that,” Nari nodded as Taehyung agreed silently.
Jungkook could feel Chaerin tense, and he could guess why. Taehyung and Nari knew something about them that the rest of the group didn't know, and she didn't want them to find out.
But he found himself agreeing to the game anyway.
“I'm in,” he responded as Chaerin let in a sharp breath. It was risky, but he was confident that it would be fine.
“Great! I just need Hyomin to agree and we’ll be good to go.” Kiseung but her lip in excitement as she looked to Baekhyun, “but you’re fine with it, right babe?”
“Of course,” he kissed her forehead, “I'm fine with any game you choose.”
A few seconds later, Hyomin and Mark rushed over to the rest of them. It was no secret what the two of them had done since they both had obvious hickeys on their necks. Mark seemed like he was trying to hide his as well as possible, but Hyomin wasn't fazed by hers.
“What’d we miss?” She asked as they finally approached.
“Are you fine with playing truth or dare on the Ferris wheel?” Taehyung asked them before Kiseung had a chance to say anything.
Hyomin smiled and nodded as she glanced at Chaerin. She definitely made a note that she seemed really nervous.
IT FINALLY HAPPENED Yet the story is only half way over xD Also I know JK isn’t afraid of heights and Tae (or is it Jimin?) is, but for this story let’s ignore that xD (Also Tae and Nari are killing me just as much as Jungrin heLP)
