Not Kristen bashing but. . . Kristen doesn't want the responsibility of student body president, she wants the advantages of being student body president.

Of course, her running isn't coming from a place of strategic malice like it is for kingkong crotchrocket. She's hopeful that winning will open opportunities to find new followers for Cassandra. She loves Cassandra so much, and she wants to be a valuable cleric.

Yes, the action was definitely initially motivated by rivalry, but she's a teenager that's to be expected.

She also wants to do her best for the bad kids. She knows this win would be advantageous for their investigation. She doesn't want to be the weak link. She wants to be useful and to succeed for the sake of her loved ones.

It's still not right, though. She hasn't taken the time to learn about what the student body president position even really entails. She's treating the campaign like a bit. She's treating the presidency as a solution to the problems that shes been ignoring when really it will simply be another position of responsibility on top of the ones she already has. It's clear she doesn't know what she's doing.

We all expected Riz to be the one running, that's what Sklonda was touching on, and she's right. Riz would be a great student body president because he's shown genuine care not just for his friends but for the least valued members of the student body as well.

Buddy wasn’t supposed to die. Buddy was supposed to open his briefcase, find six or seven missing diamonds, go “oh no”, planeshift away and right into the arms of his party.

Regardless of whether he knew or didn’t know about the plan (I’m leaning more toward didn’t know because the angst aspect of Buddy not knowing who killed him is absolutely off the charts IF he ever comes back), Buddy wasn’t supposed to die. If the plan went right, the proctor would die, the bad kids would fall, and Buddy would have to go get more diamonds.

And depending on how you see it, Buddy will panic. He might go to Oisin, who has the entire party with him of course and beg him for seven diamonds because where else could he go? All of his are missing. And Oisin goes “hey it’s okay I’ll give them to you, but I want to see what’s going on to make you panic” and they all go the Last Stand.

The Bad Kids, in debt to the Rat Grinders? Fallen from so far off their “high horse.” And maybe even getting expelled, depending on their scores, which are right there. By a dead proctor’s hands, a word half-spelled and dried?

Well, doesn’t that just make Kippperlilly’s plan for being president even easier?

Look Kristen is a kid so its understandable and Ally is great and I'm sure has a plan for this. But Kristen should not be a cleric lol. I hope that after the wizard synogue incident Cassandra takes the Archfey deal to keep herself safe and Kristen loses her powers because honestly based on her RP that girl has NO wisdom. She has NEGATIVE wisdom. If you don't like the gods currently on offer but can't take responsibility for keeping a new one alive (because you're a kid) then you should just respec. Pick a charisma-based spellcaster class that doesn't require a bunch of work like the Int classes or responsibility like the Wis classes. Give up your soul to Fig (or just give it back to newly-Archfey Cassandra) for Warlock spells idk.

Well in some Au’s (like Court Family, Shuck, and Owl Song) it wouldn’t have a chance to happen. Mostly because I’m a fan of killing off Joker early and in a very unspectacular fashion (because Joker would hate going out without a show).

But in general terms, all of them would be horrified. And I think Jason would spend a fair amount of time being terrified of Tim, depending on how Tim’s recovery process is going. But… yeah, theyre just not a good combo during that time.

The others would try their utmost to help Tim, obviously. With various degrees of success. In most Au’s this would probably also be the last straw for anyone of the Bats (but I’m partial to Jason… which tracks) to kill Joker. Have him out of their lives once and for all.

Still, I think the largest issue here would be helping Tim recover while simultaneously not triggering Jason too hard. So… different wings of the manor for them both.

One sided bartylus except Barty thinks Regulus (since he grew up in a really pureblood family) is homophobic and not attracted to men so he basically gives up on it. He completely suppresses his feelings, trying so hard not to ruin their friendship, and accepting the fact that Regulus literally cannot like him, because Regulus is striaght.

I’ve seen a recent uptick in people comparing Barty and Remus (I say uptick and mean I’ve seen two posts) and I’m shaking with excitement because this is a connection I’ve made since my first day as a Barty Crouch Jr advocate

There’s nuance to be noticed in how they are both the only halfbloods in their friend groups. (The Skittles including Regulus, Evan, Pandora and the Marauders including Sirius, Peter, and James; I being this up to like highlight that I’m not including people like Mary, Marlene, lily, or Dorcas and I just mean the like MAIN people in the groups) It’s the 70s and the climbing time for tension due to the forming war, a lot of people are gonna be weirdly blood racist. So I can imagine outsiders to these friend groups looking in and that being the first thing they notice.

Loony Lupin who’s the charity case, poor halfblood tagging along with the pure bloods. Fucking insane Barty Crouch Jr who’s father is desperately climbing the traditional pure blooded political world and therefore probably the first in his family to be born very wealthy, unlike his friends who are swimming in old money and naturally politically important.

There’s this like hierarchy of social power they are not privy to, but it’s ignored as much as possible within the actual groups. The Skittles and the Marauders both never purposefully bring up this difference in blood and wealth but when it does come up it’s usually out of ignorance from the other friends. They don’t mean any ill will, they just don’t know, but Remus and Barty can fucking feel the difference between them in those moments.

Remus is constantly studying and desperately trying to earn his place in the wizarding world and prove he can still be worth it even when he’s a monster who wasn’t able to grow up as privileged or knowledgeable as his friends. Barty Crouch Jr is constantly self sabotaging himself by not allowing his full potential to grow by engaging in things he either finds boring and/or knows he could do well enough at without trying, when if he tried he would be great. He didn’t grow up with the posh life chalked full of generations of expectation, he grew up with an up and coming politician for a father who worked for his money at the expense of his family and wanted his son to be as entrepreneurial and hard working in the fields he was. So Barty refuses to be that.

There’s this feeling of barely kept in rage and want to be something in them, it’s constantly bubbling beneath their skin and none of their friends fully understand them because of it. Remus lets out his anger once a month and lives with the guilt every other day. Barty is constantly itching for a chance to let it out and he doesn’t live with shame. I imagine they’re both more scarred than the average person, but Remus had no hand in attaining his while Barty got all of his through fights he started.

They’re two sides of the same coin in privilege, academics, and anger.
