Well, if first it was supposed that Carth, according to the game writers and cut content, could redeem fem Revan, and after that they died hand in hand at the Star Forge, then here's my ending: Revan (probably, 'grey' Revan) convinces Malak to reject the Dark Side and they escape together on one of the Star Forge's ships before the station is completely destroyed. Nobody is even aware of it, redeemed Revan is considered a hero who died for the Republic/ or otherwise - maybe only a few people know the whole amnesiac Revan's story, and redeemed Bastila is declared the hero who 'defeated' Darth Malak...

P.S. The name of a possible short fic based on the story could be Presumed Dead.

I like the difference between the different conclusions of each protagonist in their games

Yeah genuinely, I love it. All protagonists found meaning in different ways and are not similar like some people like to say as their similarities are only superficial.

For example, Makoto’s conclusion is how hope keeps going. It’s not simply that hope defeats despair, no. Makoto doesn’t ignore despair. In fact, he acknowledges the pain and deaths they all experienced, admits that despair is powerful and contagious and even respects the fact that people can fall into despair, even good people. But despite all of that, he doesn’t surrender to despair, he still tries to keep moving forward. Even with loss and the painful memory that he decides to remember and that’s what makes him optimistic at the end, an optimism who becomes even more genuine in the last chapter compared to chapters 2 and 3 (yes chapter 1 Makoto is different from any Makoto throughout the game). He has a bias for hope while still acknowledging the existence of despair.

While Hajime’s conclusion lies in the fact that he does not support either hope and despair. His fusion with Kamakura indicates that instead of confronting hope and despair, he puts them into a symbiosis. We can see it through his eyes with one red (despair) and with one green (hope). Yeah colors like green and red are always opposed with Makoto being overly linked to the color green through his clothes, Hajime and Nagito as well for example. He finds meaning in self agency and in a uncertain future deprived of bias. So he has no bias here.

And finally Shuichi’d conclusion is also found in meaning about his own experience, emotions, pain being real. He finds meaning in finding his own truth beyond the binary choice of despair. But V3 does not deny hope, at least the hope of Makoto. Shuichi does reject hope and despair but those two were used as tools for keep continuing the killing game. They were weaponized. They exist as constructed ideals to manipulate the participants.

Ki-Bo is the one who is used to try to emulate the hope of Makoto as his design is completely based on Makoto. However Ki-Bo is only a puppet and is an embodiment of how Makoto-style hope has become mechanical, performative, and hollow. He is a tool used by the killing game to try once again to wrap it up in a battle of hope against despair. The speech he made is hollow because it does not come from him. It’s different from the hope of Makoto who is a personal one, found in his pain, suffering. It is a personal truth that he chose to believe. The hope of Makoto isn’t transferable and in the context of V3, Makoto wouldn’t chose “hope” as it isn’t truly hope how he sees it as it’s basically manipulated to perpetuate suffering.

So Shuichi here has no bias toward Hope and despair like Hajime, he refuses that to let both concepts to be a script that he is forced to follow

They all have their own conclusion which sets them apart totally and it’s cool!

current thought - kiibo, although taking pride in being the ultimate robot, wants to get as close to feeling human as possible. miu loves him for him, of course !! him being a robot is what initially drew her in. but as they get closer and she gets a better understanding of him and how he feels, she decides to make modifications here and there to make him feel more human. it's possible after all, she's a genius !

kiibo wants to be able to express himself better in the way that humans do ? she's on it ! making his chest plate feel more like it's the home of a heart, giving him the ability to cry so he can express feelings of sadness and extreme happiness, etc ! if it's possible, she's making it happen for him so he can live out his dream of being closer to humans,, of being somewhat human.

it's FINALLY done the giant digimon au group picture of when the v3 group fractured! I've had this as a wip for probably over a year at this point and my art has improved a LOT since I started but I'm just so happy to finish this FINALLY!!! Kaito and Kokichi aren't here because they already stormed off, Kokichi to make his own trail and Kaito to try and cool down. Kaito is going to be very surprised when Kirumi fetches him and sees only like Shuichi and Kaede left in the clearing. Their argument was the big breaking point for the group.

I know you talk mainly about dr2 on your blog, but what do you think about Kiiruma (Kiibo x Miu)?

Oh, I like Kiiruma! XD To be honest, I didn't pay much attention to their relationship when I was playing the game, but I started to like it when I looked at some of the fan art. I like the type of Kiiruma that Miu sometimes curses at clumsy Kiibo, but after all, she adores him. 😊
