Oh I just love this!

Monstrosity gave a good look on Kai's fire power, well a more look into it , I just love these shots they are just wow , like the floating glowing fire ball that is just so bright is actually so cool and beautiful!

And that final slash is just awesome!, it shows how kai manages to defeat bigger enemies without the need to actively be in a dangerously close distance, and besides he's so cool doing it!

And he's so jumpy, my poor baby , like he glanced back so quickly and then when he saw 2 monsters fighting he quickly left the scene, he suffered too much

And to think rusty just followed him around is too adorable!!

Monstrosity is leaving me with so many thoughts wtf

First off, what did Kai see in the Phantasm Cave? Maybe he saw the old Fire Master that became the centipede creature. He saw himself so far gone that he becomes a monster himself, one that would have to be put down like a rabid dog.

Or did he see Rusty’s sacrifice? Because he became so consumed by his pursuit of selfish comfort that he forgot about the new friend who needed him?

Also, imagine Drix could turn into a multitude of different insects and insect-adjacents, including a massive centipede, which gives Kai a panic attack or some shit.

And I need to know what the old Fire Master’s name is. For some reason, “Kester” popped into my head? Might use that until I see a better one.

And Kester dressed in a manner that reminds me of the Forbidden Five (especially with the same hat as Zarkt) and now I’m striving for a fic/au where he faced the Forbidden Five but kinda got cursed and tossed into the Realm of Monsters, eventually leading to his… predicament?

So, about that Fire Knight Mech Kai Minifig...

There's one thing that I've seen questioned but not really talked about. In the "Kai's Fire Knight Mech" set there is a minifig that is quite blatently Kai, but the packaging labels him as "Master of Fire"

Now, some people have theorized that this is an error, or that this specific figure is supposed to represent Kai's (currently unnamed) Ancestor.

I have a different theory.

Given the concept with Monstrosity is that Kai is struggling to keep his humanity/his sense of self to becoming "A monster", and the fact that the two other major characters are referred to using Titles in the Playset (Fire Knight Mech and Guardian Dragon), with at least the Guardian Dragon considering herself a Monster, well.

Wouldn't it make sense that Kai would start to be referred using a title? He's losing himself, losing his humanity, and "Kai" is the name of a person.

After all, a Vampire is called a Vampire, a Zombie, a Zombie. A Werewolf's human identity may have a name, but the beast is simply a Werewolf.

A Monster doesn't have a person name, they are called what they are.

And A Kai without what makes him Kai is not a "Kai", and he is not a "Human", because that implies a Person, no matter how twisted. What he is, what sort of Monster is buried inside, being unveiled as the Land of Monsters sands away his identity... Is a Master of Fire.

Nothing More.

I’m doing science revision and on call with a friend, and then I say something about metals and my friend says “Metal? Is that a Zane reference? Is that a Ninjago refrence?” Because 10 minutes ago I said “Tongs? Vincent Tong? Is that a Kai reference? Is that a Ninjago reference!?”

Here’s Kai’s design! Would love some feedback on changes and recommendations.

I’m hoping to make them inspired off of these characters, but not make it so obvious that some people might be embarrassed to wear it out and about if they want to.

I think i might remove the hoodie strings charms, mighttt be a tad too much.
