Karlach shifted in her seat furthest from the fire, making sure to keep her intent gaze on Tav. The two sat across from one another, her eyes bright from the flames sitting in between them.

There was no context, nothing said beforehand, to prompt such a line to come from their beloved friend. It was fairly late at night to boot, leaving the two of them alone at the campfire, surrounded by dense trees, and the questionable wildlife that dwelled within it.

And yet, Tav was more nervous from her words than the dangers that lurked around them.

Chapter 64: Tying Up Loose Ends

There are a couple things the party has to do before they are ready to put an end to this cult and the Elder Brain. Time to run some errands.

Prologue: A Deal

Telvelni (Tav) is an Ironhand Gnome, after getting abducted by mind flayers and infected with one of their tadpoles, she must make her way back to Baldur’s Gate with the important information she had received. Information she paid a lot for and could potentially be a turning point for her clan.

It's so hard to believe that this story is a year old now. Just a few more chapters till its over. There will a little something special posted later today to celebrate.
