i have a little bit of a backstory to this drawing that i might post later, but i just really wanted to get something out for the holidays! it’s been a long while since i’ve drawn something fully rendered out like this, so it was a lot of fun!!

i have a few i can talk about..!

bon voyage - rated g, miraculous, incomplete, ~40kish as of right now

i mean honestly this is the proudest i've been of a chapter fic (not that i have many - i've only gotten more than 15k deep into, like, three in my life). but i've gotten halfway through writing bon voyage, it's coherent (i hope), i know exactly what i'm trying to tell the reader and i like that message, it has all sorts of my favorite things, it appeals to me aesthetically... the list goes on. i'm not always so good at finishing what i start but i'd like to think i'll finish this one just because i genuinely like it so much, but i don't take it so seriously that it isn't fun to write anymore.

this is one of my favorite longer oneshots i've ever written. i knew what i wanted to convey to the reader, i had a VISION, and i feel proud of how i conveyed it. i came at it so carefully because i wanted to respect the heaviness of what i was talking about and the fact that i was going outside my own experience to write it (i'm gay but i'm white so i can only relate to half of what's discussed in the fic), and of course i'll always want feedback but so far i've heard from others that i did an okay job and it resonated which is everything i could have asked for. i love you pickleboy <3

hnnngh clerith (end of blurb) (jk) honestly they are just so ridiculously important to me and i see their relationship in such a specific melancholic hesitant light that i don't really see explored that often? i love the art i did for this fic i think it's probably one of my favorite illustrations i've ever made. and i'm really proud of how i captured the mood between scenes. basically i think i just nailed what i was going for. this fic takes a canon scene in the game and essentially adds onto it!

i wrote this before i had really learned all of the lore for c!karlnapity but i had so many big feelings about them i needed to put it somewhere and the motif of c!quackity catching himself hurting others again in his desperation but realizing it and stopping and choosing to be kinder just really meant a lot to me. even though i'd write it differently now, i needed to write this fic when i did, and i captured what i was trying to. so i'm proud of it, more than anything else i wrote for that fandom

If I rambled about this, I was going to ramble about almost everything, so I decided to turn this ask into the first part of the au :]

After several hours of driving, they arrived at the town they had decided to move to. The reason was because they wanted to get away for a few years from a population as large as a city has and the good thing about this town they had moved to was that it was connected to a forest.

They were living there for almost two years, when suddenly, the people from the village began to act strangely towards them. It was really strange… Before, they ignored them and treated them as if they didn't really live there and out of nowhere, when it was finally two years after their arrival, they started treating them as if they were lifelong friends, as if they were important…

They were really important for the villagers...

One day, when two years had finally passed since their arrival, when night had finally fallen, the villagers had tied Quackity up, his fiancé and put him up a rather high hill saying that he was going to be a good sacrifice. The only thing Karl could do was yell for Quackity to be released as 4 others held him so he couldn't free his fiancé.

It wasn't long before the ground began to shake, a giant figure appearing from the other side of the town. He had short dark hair, orange horns sticking out of the front of his head, his ears were pointed, and he wore a bandana over his eyes. He didn't know what color his skin was because of the darkness, but he guessed it was a ‘light’ orange color.

The giant finally stopped, but to his misfortune, it was in front of Quackity. When the giant was about to grab Quackity, it all made sense… They wanted to feed the giant with him. "No! No no no no! Please! Let him go! QUACKITY!” he screamed frantically as the giant lifted his fiancé and placed him on his tongue. He could hear Quackity's desperate cries for the giant to stop, but the giant showed no sign of listening, pulling the human all the way into his mouth as he closed it.

In a few seconds there was a huge swallow and Karl watched in horror as the bulge, which was Quackity, went down the giant's throat until it disappeared completely. Once the giant returned to the woods, the villagers released Karl, who fell to his knees on the grass ground, tears streaming down his cheeks knowing he would never see Quackity again.

-Whenever Sapnap gets too stressed with royal work/duties and his tiny lovers realize it, they will go to Sap be like: Helluw :3 and then just place themselves in both of Saps hands to get him to stop and take a break

-One time Sap was out for something (idk what-) and came back to see his loverboys huddled together seeming to have fallen asleep, waiting for their big boyfriend

-In the morning when Sap wakes up before the other two he will softly coo (idk if that’s the right thing lmao) at them and give them soft kisses til they wake up

-When the other two wake up before sap does they first try to wake him up with tiny kisses on each cheek and when he’s not awake after that they will climb on his chest and jump up and down till he finally wakes up

-One time it failed tho as a groggy Sapnap just scooped the two up, cuddled them close to his chest and fell asleep again. The two were a flustered mess

-they aren’t openly together cuz even tho the rulers are two males and such, the people are still homophobic and ew. The only say nothing about the kings because they fear the consequences.

-( this is gonna be a bit angsty so warning) Q and Karl just wanted to go to the towns market together and get some things since Karl wanted to bake a cake and Q couldn’t say no. So here they were hand in hand walking down the streets in the direction to the market...-later on when Sapnap heard the Human door to his room open he practically jumped out of his bed to scoop his lovers up cuz he missed them. When he sees them tho, he stops dead in his tracks. The sight before him seeming unreal. There were his lovers, Q helping Karl stand, covered in dirt even bit of blood. He was sure he also saw a few tiny bruises. It shattered his heart. They both looked up when they heard Sapnap walk over to them. After a small shocked pause, Sapnap immediately scooped the two up and pressed them to his chest. That was their breaking point. They began to bawl their eyes out and hold onto Sapnap for dear life. (I‘ll let ya‘ll guess what happened)

this is for a very very old au, it’s actually the first au on this blog and has 1 story; which is karlnapity. I won’t go into all the lore and stuff but i’ll link that story here for those of you who weren’t here in 2021, it’s how they ended up together in this au <3. Basis is Sapnap is a human, Quackity is an avian, and Karl is an Ermine hybrid borrower.

Notes: Hi! Sorry this took ages to get out, but here it is! I followed the lines of your ‘beach episode’ prompt, but it went a little bit off of that exact description. I might make a reboot when I’m not rushing to get it complete. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

“You sure this’ll be.. safe?” George asked in almost disgust as he inhaled the salty warm air that filled the beach. He didn’t know how three people couldn’t have a very logical mindset when it came to Mer sightings. From a quick left-to-right look, George could count three people down at the beach after the announcement of one was announced to the public. Of course it had to be his friends that decided to be the people who didn’t give two shits about what they did and didn’t do, as long as it was ‘worth it for the experience.’ Personally he really didn’t understand how this was one of those experiences that needed to be experienced. 

“George, George,” Sapnap hung an arm around George as they paced along the sand to the rusty pier. “You’ve never had a fantasy about meeting a Mer? C’mon, it’s a basic childhood dream!” He announced a bit too loudly for his liking, considering that he was directly next to his ear. George huffed and pushed his friend away. “I mean, yeah, but not now! Those Mer’s were like.. I don’t know! Small..er? And we didn’t know the literal danger of them considering we were kids.” He shrugged. 

Sapnap also shrugged, just not as heavily. George was upset and Sapnap was cheerful. 

“Well, you can always sit this out if it gets too much, we’ll just get to check something off of our bucket list while you shit your pants,” Sapnap smiled a shit-eating smile, hands going wild while they explained the words as if it was a hologram that could be moved by touch. “It’ll still be you i-“

George was cut off by a scream that morphed into a heavy laugh as Quackity and Karl both crumbled to the ground, Quackity’s arms wrapped around Karl as he had obviously had attacked him from behind. The two rolled in the sand trying to get a win over one another, but neither seemed to want to give up victory. The fight ended when Quackity forced Karl to roll into the crashing waves on the shore, leaving the shorter free to stand and put emphasis on his win. 

Karl, on the other hand, stayed in the water for a moment, mainly catching his breath and somehow relaxing while getting hit in the face with a wave every three seconds. “It’s official that Karl will be the bait, then?” Sapnap joked, jogging to his partner and crouching down. George followed much slower, eyes on the ocean.

Fairytales really were getting the best of him right now. It was incredibly rare to actually spot a Mer, let alone one that is actually looking to feed. If it genuinely wanted to hunt it would fend to deeper waters where there are less human threats and better food selections. It still unsettled him to know that there could possibly be something predatory that was the biggest marine life out there just sitting by the edge of the docks, waiting for it’s next prey. It would be three idiots if they didn’t see the insanity in their damn plan. 

“I mean, I didn’t fight for nothing,” Quackity smirked, finally caving and pulling Karl up after the man had cooled down. “Good game, good game.” The two muttered in unison to eachother. “Sorry you’re shit at this,” Quackity grinned. 

It sucked being the third wheel. 

He sighed to himself and zoned out of the three’s conversation while he continued to eye the water that crashed only feet ahead of them. The sun blazed onto his neck uncomfortably and for a moment he wondered if he should get into the water briefly. He then shook the thought out of his head upon realizing that was a terrible idea and he’d probably return to the shore in four lousy pieces, if not fully gone already. 

He zoned back in when they started walking once more, closer and closer to the West pier. The thing was pretty much destroyed due to a past fire, however Sapnap insisted that this is where they’d catch a glimpse of the infamous Mer that had been spotted. He really didn’t know how stable it would be, or if it was legal to even walk along it. He guessed that even if it was illegal Sapnap still would continue on as if he never heard the information in the first place.

Unfortunately nobody had the bright idea of bringing their phone, so he was unable to check and confirm his theory. George watched the footprints Quackity and Karl left behind while they walked.

The sun continued to uncomfortably blaze onto his back, and he eventually caved and began to walk in the shallow water. After that, the mood lightened just a bit as George cooled down a bit and fell into an easy conversation with the four. 

It died down once they reached the entrance to the old, rusty walkway. He wrinkled his nose at the sight of it — he would definitely fall if he was even a bit distracted. 

Quackity broke in to laughter. “Ooh, we’re going to fucking die,” 

They continued on. 

“This has got to be illegal,” George said, a bit louder than he initially intended. “Definitely is. The only reason we came here is because no one is out here,” Sapnap paused to step on what looked to be a weak piece of the walkway, which he avoiding after it groaned under the pressure. “we won’t get caught.” 

George hummed, not in agreement. After Quackity had gone up, he supposed he should at least go after them to make sure he isn’t half responsible for their death. His heart-rate picked up as he nearly fell, but he caught himself just fine. 

“You think we’ll see something?” Karl muttered to Quackity as they fell in somewhat-sync to each other. Sapnap was beside him, but George could see how he wanted to be ahead. George doesn’t know why he’s doing this. 

“I mean you are the bait, so if anyone will it’ll be you.” 

Karl giggled at that. 

“Personally, I think George should be the bait.” Sapnap spoke up.

“Karl is already wet,”

“Both of them?” 

“Both of you,” Karl and George muttered in unison. Karl may want to actually see something, but at least they can both agree that Sapnap and Quackity were too eager. 

The end of the walkway was nearing, and George was too caught up in relief to notice his footing going haywire. The fall startled him into a small yelp but nothing that could’ve gotten his friends’ attentions quickly enough. The fall wasnt neccesarily pleasent, and he was in a panic the entire time until he hit the water harshly. It stung at his body for a moment and he allowed himself to sink before regaining something of a proper mind.

Shit.

Out of instinct he immeditely set the shore as his destination but however was pulled back by something. He started to lose hope on his share of the bet with Sapnap and the other's. Somewhere above the water he heard his friends catch onto his fall, but he was certain they nor he could do nothing.

Water pushed at him uncomfortable, distracting him from being too hot to being too cold. His eyes were closed to avoid the saltwater, but he grew uncomortable knowing the probably-mer was staring right at him. He squirmed uncomfortably in the hold he was suddenly in, not tight enough for it to be inescapable, but too close to him for George to even begin to think of a way out, especially with his eyes closed. He was shifted by whatever the hell was holding him and the grip suddenly tightened. It still was not uncomfortable, but he could begin to feel the scales poke at him. 

Fresh warm air hit his face and he inhaled sharply, waiting a moment before opening his eyes. He wasn't completely adjusted and his vision was foggy, so when he was set down on something hard he wasn't sure what it was until Sapnap spoke up first, sending a too-playful 'holy shit.' to himself and probably to anyone else around.

He must've passed out, because he had to open his eyes. He woke up, unsure of how much time had passed. There was endless conversation around him, and it seemed to be a lot of Sapnap and a loud voice he didn’t recognize. 

Realization suddenly dawned on him and he never got up quicker than he had in that moment. He stared at the Mer ahead of them, yellow scales showing in various places, it’s mouth open ajar to reveal it’s stupidity sharp teeth as it stared at him with thin pupils. It’s hands curled around the side of the dock, sharp nails almost hitting Sapnap’s pant leg. 

“Oh good, he’s not dead!” Karl announced from

somewhere behind George. Too stunned to speak, George just stayed silent, continuing to stare at the Mer’s green eyes until it did something. 

“George you’re a twenty-five year old man, I thought you would be able to introduce yourself to our good friend here, Dream.” 

“What the hell Quackity? You three seriously befriended it? Look at th- it’s-“ George quickly ran out of breath and shut up. The Mer, Dream apparently, looked somewhat guilty but not enogh for George to be convinced. "Okay, man, don't shit yourself. George, this is Dream. He saved you after you tried to kill yourself," Quackity explained, placing a hand on his shoulder that made him jump. “I didn’t-“ 

“You’re pretty.” 

George for some reason flushed red at the comment from the Mer. He didn’t smile, however. His heart just beat faster at the thought of being a topic of interest to something like this. He actually felt a little nauseous at the thought of it.

A small beat of silence passed before Quackity and Karl broke into laughter once more. “George has a loverrr,” Quackity managed to get out over the mass amount of amusement he found himself tangled in. “What? N- No! I mean-“

“You can’t deny what was said,” Karl grinned. George felt awkward, and it seemed the Mer did too. And while he wasn’t too pleased about having something like this in common with it, it was better than having the Mer in on it too. So they just stared at each other. Dream just looked embarrassed and George’s face was still lightly brushed with blush he didn’t apply. 

“Lovebirds.” Sapnap nicked George in the side, who then sputtered. “Are you joking? This thing is going to kill is if you step any closer.” Something shifted in Dream’s expression, but George didn’t scare to consider it’s origin. “No! I won’t- I wouldn’t. Humans taste absolutely terrible,” Dream said it so calmly that it almost put a smile on his face, but the first thing his mind went to was how Dream has had human before. 

Uncomfortable silence danced along with the wind as everyone debated saying something. In the end it was Dream. “..and I wouldn’t want to scare you. O- or anyone!” 

George laughed somewhat genuinely. “You’re an idiot.”

Karl Burrito

He was literally asking for this.

Karl had a hilarious prank planned for this afternoon and managed to get Quackity in on it. They went to chipotle to pick up lunch (Karl would normally leech off Sapnap or Quackity’s meals being a borrower so Quackity only had to get enough food for him and Sapnap) and on the drive back Karl felt mischievous.

“Quackity, stuff me in Sapnap’s burrito, I wanna scare him!” Karl asked.

“Are you sure, I don’t want you to get hurt.” Quackity sounded unsure.

“I’ll give you 50$” Karl bribed.

“Deal, how deep do you wanna go in this thing?” Quackity said, parking the car and unwrapping the burrito.

Karl was stuffed into the food decently so that Sapnap could see him, but Karl was at an angle that unless Sapnap decided to eat it sideways for whatever reason, he’d be safe from getting bitten and dying. The burrito was rewrapped and the plan was set. Karl couldn’t stop giggling as he nibbled on a piece of rice directly in front of his face.

He heard Quackity call Sapnap down and soon Karl heard the burrito foil being unwrapped.

“Where’s Karl?” Sapnap asked curiously.

“He stole some of my food already so he went back to his room before I could catch him.” Quackity said nonchalantly.

Karl heard an amused scoff as Sapnap took the first bite. He could hear his human friend chewing and he felt a little unnerved by it.

“He’s like a rat sometimes,” Sapnap scoffed, taking another bite.

“But he’s our little rat.” Quackity added.

“Our little rat that needs constant supervision.” Sapnap took another bite. He was getting closer.

As the conversation went on Karl was starting to have second thoughts. The sound of teeth tearing through meat, veggies, and tortilla was scaring him. Oh no, was he going to die.

Crrunch!

Karl was blinded by the sudden light revealed after Sapnap’s teeth tore through the burrito once again. He was next for sure.

Uh oh, I gotta get his attention quick! Thought Karl.

“Oh Sapnap!” Karl yelled out, the fire born wasn’t listening. “It’s me lover boy! S-Sapnap?”

All he saw was Sapnap’s mouth open wide and the dark abyss that was his fiancé’s throat. Oh shit, he did not think this through.

CRRRUNCH!!

Karl thought for a moment Sapnap had bit him, but somehow he was completely inside his mouth unharmed physically, still embedded in food, oh fuck he was still embedded in the food! He squirmed out of the burrito chunk as Sapnap began chewing, tossing the borrower around making it near impossible to orient himself or even move.

“Sapnap!” Karl screamed. His only response was him being pulled back by a sickening “Glurk!” and descending down into Sapnap’s stomach. The ride was dreadfully slow but he finally arrived into the belly of his fiancé with the rest of his lunch.

Thankfully borrowers were immune to stomach acids, but in thankfully the belly of a fire born was fucking atrociously hot, like he was standing in the nether!
