are you basing your au on any specific life season? in terms of grouping and such at least. Or is it all cobbled together with things from your favourite seasons? Or is it maybe like, making a new season? Whatever it is im super interested.
also since sburbs not involved im assuming there wont be classpects, but if there were what would you assign to who? (feel free to just pick a couple of your favourites so you do t have to do 18 classpects 💀💀)
So, the AU is based on all the seasons, kinda smashed together in various ways. The cast plays all season as separate VR LARP (VLARP???) campaigns, which in turn influence somewhat what’s going on interpersonally outside of VLARP in the meat space. I’m also pulling from other SMPs I’ve seen the cast in for certain details, as one of my fav things with AUs is working in little references to canon/fanon. Then there’s the aspect of which relationships I feel I want to explore in the Alternian meat space/what I think makes sense given everything else. Plus, you know, a little sprinkle of shipper brain rot.
I’ve got one or two group placements to work out, but I will make a post either today or tomorrow with that info!
As for classpects, boy howdy, I was avoiding this, but once I started, I have found it’s actually really fun & I want to do more! (Do I need an AU of this AU where they actually do play Sgrub…?)
Here’s the few I’ve figured out so far plus some art!

Smalsh Beans as the Heir of Rage
Given how unhinged Joel can (& does, regularly,) get, Rage felt like a good aspect for him, but I was really torn on class for a bit. I didn’t see him as a knowledge, destruction, or healer class. I landed on Heir going off a few fan theories. I saw that some people lost Heirs as being controlled by or representing their aspect, or as being consumed by or becoming their aspect. Idk, something about red life Joel just screams Heir of Rage with those definitions. Briefly considered making him a Witch, because that’s an active class vs heir being passive, but in the end, I think Heir fits better.
(Note: I’m playing with the idea of Smalsh Beans going by Joel for some silly reason, just ‘cause he’s the only one with a human name that isn’t present in his troll name/isn’t extremely close to his troll name, &, well, I’d rather call him Joel. **shrug** Maybe his matesprit gave it to him as a nickname?)

Scohtt Smajor as the Seer of Void
I may have listed Joel first, but Scohtt is the first I settled on. I knew I wanted him to be either a knowledge class, just based the fact that that man has a freaky high perception score. Like. Scott in canon always is one of the first to pick up on shit, so Scohtt is no different. I toyed around with making him the Seer of Mind, but then realized that a) he’s got higher perception that insight (granted his insight is also good) & b) I couldn’t bring myself to make Scohtt, already a teal blood, anymore like Terezi lol. But with Void, it can represent things that are unknown or hidden, so a Seer of Void might be one who can specifically see things that are secret, much like how Scott often figures out hidden from others before anyone else. (For instance, how he immediately knew Scar & Grian were soulmates in DL or how he eavesdropped on secret convos in SL.)
#Trafficstuck#joel smallishbeans#scott smajor#trafficblr#verdant art#verdant rambles#verdant answers#ngl figuring out some classpects made me question how I want to approach this AU….#I am seriously considering pivoting so that the life series were games they played before playing Sgrub…#like. it’s so much stuff to figure out#like kernalsprites & planets & whatnot#which I thought might be overwhelming#but it sounds so fun now…#AUs of AUs are cool right?

FTF: Monthly Matchups!
FTF: Total War!
This Week's Fighters...
Alternia vs Viltrum!
Conditions:
All characters act in character according to a total war scenario. Doc Scratch and those associated with the Felt elect not to interfere.
Scenario:
The Viltrumite Empire and the Alternian Empire discover each other's galaxies at roughly the same time and begin spying on each other to prepare for an invasion, unaware that their target has already discovered them.
Analysis: Alternia
Before our universe begain, there was a galactic terror that dominated the universe that came before. A menacing force built up solely for the self-aggrandizement of the Empress who reigned over them all. For billions of lives across millions of worlds, the red trident of Her Imperious Condescension's flagship heralded death.
This Alternian Empire consisted entirely of Trolls hailing from their home planet of Alternia, conscripted at the day they become an adult to expand the empire across the galaxy. Alternia itself is a brutal hellplanet specifically crafted to turn Trolls into savage killers, beat any compassion out of them until only killing instinct remains. Acid rains from the sky,the sun incinerates you during the day, killer beasts roam the lands with only your own parental "lusis" monster to protect you from them, and all are expected to reproduce before their adult lives begin to create more soldiers for the Empire. From the very moment you are hatched, you must kill your fellow newborn grubs to survive or be killed and forgotten.
Alternia enforces a rigged caste system over itself where highbloods reign supreme over their lowblooded counterparts. From bottom to top, the blood color castes are rust, bronze, gold, olive, jade, teal, cerulean, blue, purple, violet, and fuschia, each with their own unique abilities. Thanks to a long history of eugenics, higher, colder blooded castes are meant to be far stronger physically than their warmblooded brethren, but this is not a universal constant, a lower caste trolls have overpowered higher ones on occasions. It's almost as if eugenics is a bunk science that doesn’t actually work! On top of that, highbloods can live for thousands, if not millions of years and are increasingly immune to telepathic influence the farther you get up the scale.
Starting with the warmer hues, rustbloods are able to use minor telepathy and speak to the ghosts, with the rarer, stronger telepaths among them able to lift temples and push moon sized meteors around. Bronze bloods are able to be gifted with the ability to commune with any type of animalistic beast, even those that are nigh omniscient and reality warping, provided their brain is approximately animalistic. Golds, however, are in a complete league of their own, boasting remarkably destructive telekinetic powers utilizing psionic energy from their minds.
This gift has caused the Empire to view them as nothing but expendable batteries, to be plugged into their spaceships and sucked dry into a withered old husk. As batteries, they can push soaceships at borderline lightspeed, generating enough kinetic energy to wipe the surface of the Earth clean of all life, or even destroy a small planet! That's energy equivalent to 2.8 Zettatons of TNT.
Source:
That might sound insane, but Doc Scratch has commented that any of the Empress's armies could rip apart a planetary civilization. Many of them can even keep up with Kernalsprites, who can move at quintillions of times light speed traveling between planets.
Source:
The higher you go, the more insane the abilities get. Jadebloods can come back to life as undead vampires. Rainbowdrinkers who can walk off fatal wounds destroying major organs and effortlessly survive the otherwise lethar daytime of Alternian climate. Cerulean bloods possess extraordinary telepathic gifts, capable of commanding hundreds, if not thousands of people at once. Purple bloods have even stronger telepathy, tasked with terrorizing every troll in the galaxy with horrific nightmares to keep them reliant on sopor slime to sleep, on top of possessing inhuman regeneration that can walk off being utterly shredded with bullets or other fatal wounds.
Violet bloods are sea dwellers, veritable royalty living in the most dangerous climate on the planet. The dark depths of the sea where the Horrorterror Gl'bgolyb dwells, rasing the next Fuschia Heiress who will challenge the Empress for the throne. Fuschia are unquestionably the strongest caste around, completely immune to all telepathic influence. Even to Gl'bgolyb's voice, which would otherwise drive all of Trollkind to extinction with a single cry.
Naturally, several people across history had problems with this system. Revolutionaries like the Signless and the Summoner fought to free their people from this enslavement and both of them failed. Foiled by the background manipulations of Doc Scratch. The Devil who lead Alternia down this path in the first place. The First Guardian who rigged the game from the start.
If Doc Scratch hadn't meddled for centuries, Alternia would've been crushed under the weight of its own cruelty centuries ago. Kept chugging along past the real logistical failings of its own core ideology by necessity and immediately left to crumble and rot once its purpose was played out.
Perhaps the purple bloods and their cruel fantastic religious ideology was right all along deep down. They worship the Mirthful Messiahs and paint the stars in blood in their name. Their every atrocity a joke to keep their gods laughing. Perhaps the futility of Alternia’s very existence was the cruelest joke of all.
Analysis: Viltrum
Somewhere, far beyond the stars, lies a technological utopia. Populated only by miraculous superbeings who help the people of other worlds join the galactic community. A wonderful world that knows only peace and prosperity, protected only by glorious supermen.
If such a world exists, Viltrum is the furthest thing in the galaxy from it. The Supermen who come from the sky do not bring truth and justice. The bring the option to submit or be exterminated by your superiors.
A horrific war world dedicated to the rule of might makes right, Viltrum saw fit to remove the weak from their society after Grand Regent Thragg came to power. To emerge stronger and spread their influence across the galaxy. Committing genocidal atrocities in the name of being the only empire in the galaxy left standing.
To this end, they often send lone agents undercover to infiltrate notable planets. Become their superheroic protector while covertly paving the way for a full Viltrumite invasion. "Elevating" worlds with the honor of being their thrall species.
Their strength is immense. More akin to a force of nature than a species. Most species attempting to overwhelm them will splatter against them like paint balloons. A single Viltrumite can render a planet lifeless in seconds.
This is because they're made up of "smart atoms". Able to manipulate their atomic structure to a limited extent to achieve superhuman feats. As such, Viltrumite cells are invulnerable to almost any conventional form of harm. Radiation, viruses, prions, impossible heats or colds, none of it matters. This is what allows them to freely fly, hold their breaths in the vacuum of space for weeks on end, and survive nearly anything you can throw at them. Anything short of destroying their brain or heart most likely will not kill them. You can even outlive them, they'll survive for thousands of years after you're dust in the wind.
On the surface, it would seem that their attempts to become the strongest species out there were successful. But at a severe cost. Their constant waring nature as decimated their own population, leaving only 50 pure blooded Viltrumites alive. They're forced to rely on vassal species to run their empire and their expansion is driven by finding a compatible species to rebuild their numbers with.
Even so, a handful of Viltrumites is all one would need. Even just that many Viltrumites can single handedly rip the Earth apart, a feat that would require a combined total of 1.8 Zettatons of TNT.

Awfully consistent considering they can move at speeds billions of times Faster Than Light.
Source:
In other words, what happens when you combine Kryptonians and Saiyans? You get an unstoppable Empire of Genocide.
Throwdown Breakdown:
Despite all appearances, this matchup is actually decisively very open and shut.
Quintillions of times FTL is much faster than Billions of times and a Gold Blood pushing a spaceship can get up to 2.8 Zettatons over splitting the Earth at 1.8 Zettatons. Made worse by the fact that splitting the planet is overtime group effort whereas the ship push is one individual gold blood.
In fact, no matter what end feats you use, trolls have a superior one over the Viltrumites. Multiple Viltrumites nearly dying to punch through a planet, meet multiple Beforan trolls smashing two planets together and being just fine. With Beforus trolls being weaker than Alternian trolls.
Source:
Even the strongest feat you can argue with the infamous Sun Disk:

Is millions of times weaker than Roxy just standing inside a massive black hole, which the average Troll should be at least somewhat comparable to:
This is made worse by the versatility factor. Viltrumites are stubborn motherfuckers to kill, with far superior healing factors than most trolls, but they have no answer to the scope of telepathy and telekinesis brought to bare here. Sure, they've fought against both before, but never to this degree. Viltrumites can resist mind control from the Sequids, but trolls can mind control you from literally another universe away and have the range to effect thousands or billions at once. That's not a contest. And the strength gap makes the telekinesis point clear, as two of the earlier mentioned feats were performed with telekinesis.
But, what really does Viltrum in here is the logistics. Alternia has spent most of its existence shielded from the logistical consequences of its own darwinist ideology, as Doc Scratch still had need of them. Viltrum hasn't and is suffering the consequences for it. Their species is running low, they're nearing extinction. Without their thralls, they wouldn’t have the manpower to be an empire at all, and that's a bad position to be in against a galaxy spanning empire with none of those same drawbacks. Alternia is what Thragg pictured Viltrum being when he took over in his head.... because it didn't have to deal with any of the real consequences that made his ideology unsustainable.
Fighters like Conquest and Thragg will absolutely take down a few armadas before going down. This is the same guy who can sink New York City deeper into the Earth with one punch, after all. But the simple fact is, they're too outnumbered, underequipped, and underpowered to win this fight.
This Throwdown's Winner is....
Alternia!

Lil homie is in blatant panic mode from the moment we meet him and we were all like "haha he's so cool nothing riles him" the teenaged mind is truly not equipped to understand anything more complex than a Dr. Seuss book
Once again being made painfully aware of how young and illiterate we were when we read Homestuck the first time because we all genuinely believed that Dave was calm cool and collected, if not a little odd, when in reality this poor boy was hearing Kill Bill sirens through the entirety of Acts 3 and 4 at the very least
#homestuck#spinda tea#jade just prototyped his kernalsprite with a dead bird and he is mcfreaking losing it

Unable to revive their dead friends due to not having enough remains to stitch a functional body together pregodtier, Feferi threw the remains into the alpha session kernalsprites! Which yielded..

Arazee Mekido (Aradiabot + Gamzee) who is essentially Beetlejuice, Karvri Vanket (Karkat + Vriska) who is strangely mellow despite the components, and Kanezi Paryrp (Kanaya + Terezi) who's design i haven't ironed out yet

Im being weird (affectionate) about davepeta and erisolsprite today
The sprite who loves existing and everything about themself
And the sprite who hates existing and everything about himself
And they have the same lime green kernalsprite involved in their creation bc they come from different timelines
And I think their neurodivergences play well together rather than clashing
And and and
i think they should be moirails about it

lil Hal is such an interesting character to me
he's constantly sabotaging dirk and Jake's relationship, ultimately being one of the main reasons they break up. It feels like there should be ulterior motives, but I can't seem to think of any other than his perception that he's helping dirk.
his insistence on him and dirk being the same seems weird for someone who socially sabotaged him multiple times. was this all his desire for a physical form? his quick derailment to the kernalsprite was strange. could it be that (if we include post canon) that Hal had some sort of knowledge of the ultimate self and was nudging dirk in that direction, ruining relationships and whatnot. I mean, after the sburb session, dirk and Jake go back to being close, including their homoerotic TV show if we so chose, and in that world, Hal no longer exists
I truly do wonder what hal's intentions were

Kintypes info/Canoncall kind of
I am always looking to chat with sourcemates, feel free to reach out if you're a sourcemate!!
Karkat Vantas (Homestuck)
Primary kin, multiple timelines Timeline One: Canon divergent, doomed timeline. I became moirails with Eridan after his break up with Feferi, and I was a lot closer with Aradia than in canon. I don't remember the humans very well, so I likely died before or not long after we got contact with them. (🩸) Timeline Two: Canon divergent, successful game. Ended up in a kernalsprite with John and lived as Johnkatsprite for a while. Somehow we both managed to make it to Earth C and lived permanently as Johnkatsprite there. (Either as an actual kernalsprite or a sort of fusion due to our godtier powers, I have no clue. I know we were the only John & Karkat there.) (🍰)
Stanford Pines (Gravity Falls)
Primary kin Relatively canon compliant up until working on the portal. Fiddleford lived with me for a while either pre or post portal construction, and I was a lot closer with him and his family. Still figuring out timeline. (🖋️)
Alois Trancy (Black Butler)
Primary kin Not many memories, relatively canon compliant. (🕷️)
Kankri Vantas (Homestuck)
Secondary kin Very canon divergent. I was in Karkat's place on modern Alternia. The signless either never existed or was my ancestor. Was very close with Porrim. (💭)
Light Yagami (Death Note)
Secondary Kin Very few memories (🍎)
Dib Membrane (Invader Zim)
Secondary Kin Canon compliant (🦇)
Dirk Strider (Homestuck)
Secondary Kin VERY canon divergent. No SBURB & modern day. Not going into detail publicly. (🍊)
Kyoya Ootori (Ouran High School Host Club)
Tertiary Kin Low memories (🌹)
Ichi (Good Night World)
Tertiary Kin Canon divergent, low memories (🎮)

hc + lusus
She loved her lusus so much. She felt she was very lucky to have such a nurturing and mild lusus, even if that meant that she had to learn a lot of her combat through just hacking and slashing at topiaries.
She misses her terribly. She looked forward to the kernalsprite mechanics just to be able to talk to her.
Her lusus collected Kanaya’s eggshells and grub fangs and kept them in her little underground burrow. That has been imprinted on Kanaya, as well — she keeps a lot of things for sentimental value. Basic parenting stuff like eggshells and grub fangs, but also standard things like an ex’s tee shirt, keepsakes like shells or stones from walks with loved ones, dried flowers, written notes, photographs, drawings. She’s incredibly sentimental, but she’s orderly about her hoarding, whereas her lusus used to do things like weaving Kanaya’s shed hair into her grass bedding or stealing her fabrics for her nest.
She’s also still super into piles for this reason, even though they tend to fall out of fashion the older trolls tend to get. It reminds her of home. She usually just uses pillows, blankets, and fabric rolls for her piles, but she tends to spritz them with diluted vetiver or jasmine so they smell more like home.

I may have messed up. I accidentally prototyped my unprototyped kernelsprite with another unprototyped kernelsprite. What repercussions does this hold for my session?
Um. You now have a Kernalsprite^2. One less kernelsprite in total. That cannot be prototyped.
That sounds like a Void Session to me!!!

FTF Calculations: Kernalsprite Black Hole

Exactly what it says. Caliborn's sprite eats the Solar System.
The Solar System is 30 trillion km across. A black hole of that size would weight 10158284200000 Solar Masses. Multiply that by the Sun's Gravitational Binding Energy to get the Black Hole's Gravitational Binding Energy.
569300000000000000000000000000000000000000 x 10158284200000 = 5.7831112e+54 joules or 57,830,000,000 Foe (Solar System Level)
Caliborn was unharmed even when this black hole consumed the sun and reached the Earth, so he should scale.
