I like to keep things symmetrical and just mix and match, without any rules or anything, I took inspiration from real cities, they're all pretty much random, you'd be surprised how completely different buildings go so well together :)

can you explain a bit more about how backyards with apartments work? or post a top-down view of your lot maybe? is it only the patio area that's part of the apartment, but the grass area (with the grill and chairs) is part of the communal area again?

Hii, yes, you're correct!

The patio area is just an extended foundation that the house is built on, like a porch but in the back. They also have a communal area (on the grass) but I wanted to give them an option to have a private area as well in case they don't want to hang out with their neighbors lol

English is not my first language so my thoughts get tangled up sometimes, hope the explanation makes sense!

When you build an apartment that's not on a foundation, the game doesn't allow you to have a fenced backyard area 'cause you can only have the apartment door on the ground level, that can be the only point of entrance (so the game will know it's an apartment, I assume, or whatever but then your sims can't go to backyard x)

hi mari! I love your nostalgia loving conversions so much! I was just wondering: most items are quite shiny. I prefer them more matte, so I used pforests shine remover on them, nbd. But I was wondering if that’s on purpose? Your previews don’t look shiny, so maybe the lighting in your game is different? It’s most noticeable on the sofas, the blanket and the pillows.

I’m looking forward to the kitchen conversion!!

I personally haven’t noticed the shine, it could be due to me focusing on other aspects or maybe because of reshade in the preview screenshots, I was pretty burnt out from the set towards the end ‘cause there were so many items, I wanted to finish it asap or it would have dragged out way too much, so that could be the reason! if a lot of people are bothered by the shiny items I could update them as soon as I have time :))

I Love using your new baseball caps, is there any way to make them dissapear when using underwear, pajamas etc? like what happens with glasses. Thank you!

There is! If you download the baseball caps categorized as 'jewellery' they'll show up in the bracelet category and on the left you'll be able to choose which outfit you'd like to pair them with! ^^

The 'buy jewellery' option is available when using the 'Gussy up' mod, it's a must have for me! :)

Hello! Love your cc :D Just wanted to let you know that the 4t2 Bobbi Braid Buns v1 says that toddlers can wear the hair and, it does show up, but it shows up wonky. The four colors have grey underneath while the other ages do not have this and show up perfectly. Thank you for all you do :D

hi there! so currently i'm playing in westbrook cove and it's absolutely gorgeous!! however, i think the neighborhood is getting a lil too small for me >.< i'm a sims 3 player & i've only played sims 2 just now so i wanna ask you how do I add roads to make more residential area in your hood? is it possible? :o

unfortunately adding functional roads (decorative yes) isn't really possible in sims 2, unless you export the entire neighborhood map and edit it in sim city 4 which can be kind of tricky because it's mirrored and it needs a lot of tweaking and back and forth until it looks how you imagined! and also you'd lose all of the lots and the 'hood deco :/

BUT there's a way to place your lots off road with the lot adjuster and here's a handy tutorial on how to use it :)

hi kestrel! i know you might not see this as you seem to have made the switch to sims 4, but in your bubble tea set, I noticed conversions of aira's pinkie set. googling only came up with the ts4 version. did you convert the set? if so, would you mind sharing it if you still have it? thank you and I hope you're enjoying sims 4!

Nooo, it really doesn't haha I use Reshade when I take screenshots, it's very useful for that but it's kind of impossible to play when it's turned on 'cause it can be very taxing on your computer (at least in my case, maybe someone knows some presets that can be used for gameplay?) :)

that build is inaccessible to me right now since the last update, a lot of my lots have been corrupted somehow and stuck on the loading screen :/

plus it’s loaded with cc and I’ve been clearing out my mods folder so I guess it wouldn’t be what it was anyway :/ sorry to disappoint!

I really can't promise anything, especially because I have already moved in some families and decorated it, but I totally wouldn't mind if you wanted to recreate it, the houses are super simple! I have the floor plans right here. ^^

Hello! I've been curious to ask... How do you keep strays off your lot? I haven't been able to find any mod that effectively wards them off!

The only mod that I know of and use to keep strays from constantly spawning is the No Stray Respawn and it doesn't affect the already existing ones, but this might not be exactly what you're looking for?

I actually don't mind a few stray animals here and there, they're cute x)
