The character design in this game is AMAZING. The way you can tell what household object they’re supposed to be with little prompting??? Betty, Keyes, Rainey and Dolly are among some of my favourite characters (I would have included SO many others but that would’ve been pushing it on the amount of images….. sorry Timothy Timepiece, Gaia, Reggie, Amir, Tydus Andromache, Miranda, Cabrizzio, Bobby, Harper and so on…)

I’ve spent nearly 9 hours on the date everything demo. Y’all im not a self-shipper… HOWEVER I am so in love with Betty that I’m willing to pull self insert OC x canon bullshit.

I don't know much about the ''date everything'' game. So I have no idea what objects are already in there. But a friend of mine is quite enamoured with the idea of dating a piano 🤔

oh anon, i have excellent news for your friend!! there is indeed a piano character in Date Everything!, and she is absolutely gorgeous 😉💖 meet Keyes voiced by Joy Ofodu! 🎹

her design is so spectacular: i adore all the little details like the gold pedals in her hair and the piano-key belt!! and here i thought Maestro was the best piano-inspired design we had 😳 fun fact: Keyes wasn't originally written to be Nigerian, but the team redesigned her after hearing Joy's audition 🥰 i didn't get the chance to meet her in my demo run but i'm so curious about her personality when the full game drops!! though we should be able to scrub through one of the many playthroughs and find someone trying to romance her 😂

i'm so sad to be getting some weird quest interactions TT commentary on Hector's, Keyes's, Celia's, and Florence's route below!

so i started keyes's route where she asks you to speak with the other Dateables to make some adjustments for her. and since i wanted some extra specs points, i became friends with the skeleton key, accessing the attic. and when i talked to hector, who i only interacted with once via grate, he had his full-body sprite active? and then he switches to badgering me for coming up the attic. except, it's not his usual stunned dialogue! he was frustrated with my persistence, which was odd considering i hadn't seen him in the attic before this save!

kinda odd, kinda strange.

and then i'm stuck in a loop with celia and florence? before meeting them, i'd already chatted with stella, hoping to tell celia she's the source of this MLM scheme florence is caught up in. and prior to this, i chatted with florence, being nice and going through as much dialogue as possible about her bottled air products. however, even when i try to visit celia to inform her about florence being scammed, i can't tell her anything!

not sure if i'm missing something or if these are just bugs. anyone else experience some weird quest interactions like these?

It'd be cool to start tagging characters with their name and what they are, for ex:

That way we don't have to wonder if someone's posted something under #____ date everything or #date everything ____ cause I've seen some posts doing one or the other. Also it's just fun!

Other characters in media often have last names to help narrow which character name they search, but most of the objects don't so I thought it'd be a neat way of doing so!

Date Everything Headcanons

So I kinda like the idea that the Date Everything characters all have some kind of power that only awakens after you start using the dateviators, and I guess in a sense it kinda makes sense because when you get Eddie and Volts bad ending, Volt turns into the electricity monster thing, so here's what I was thinking:

Volt and Eddie can secretly control electricity (obvi to what I said previously). They can both produce different levels of electricity, Volts being stronger than Eddie's. I can imagine being with them and them teasing you but lightly touching with a little of electricity, slightly tickling you with it and then pretending nothing ever happened

Chance can secretly control the outcome of rolling a dice. For the most part during campaigns he'll leave it up to fate for whatever it rolls for, but every now and then if things start going bad for you, he'll secretly make the dice land in your favor. He'll never get old of seeing your face light up when the dice rolls a good number, and he'll never tell you it was him. Or I especially like the idea of you both using dice to decide bets and him secretly rolling in his favor for whatever out come he was looking for.

Dorian can secretly lock his door or just not open when he should anyways. Imagine if you decided to or accidentally were about to go outside with the dateviators and Dorian stops you to either remind you that you still had them on or asks to reconsider getting rid of the dateviators.

And then just obvious ones like Dante can control fire, River can control water, Keyes and Tina have perfect pitch and know how to play their instruments really well. Just general things about their objects that make sense for them to have control over. Let me know if you have additional ideas!
