These are two of my OCs! Dragon and Shark. They’re DnD characters but not really since I don’t actually play. I just digitized some sketches from my sketchbook and went ham! I don’t expect anyone to even see this but just putting it out there, you’re free to draw fan art of these two (I would go feral) (yes they are adults, Dragon is 19 and Shark is 23)

I won’t info dump in this here description but I hope y’all enjoy the lore/personality doodles! I tried to style them as if they drew them by hand, so its really a representation of how they see themselves.

Now, I think I'll explain how the Gods/Goddesses in this world work:

This world follows a polytheistic religion, with different Gods covering different areas, similar to ancient greek/roman/egyptian religion where there were Gods of the sea, the harvest, battle, etc, etc, etc.

Each deity has their own sort of ritual for contacting them; some require meditation, some require prayer, and some require blood, to name a few.

Power is transferred between gods and mortals through promises, or "Oaths." Oaths are verbal contracts between god and mortal that outline a) what the mortal will do for their god, and b) how the god will reward them. Without an Oath, gods cannot give humans any sort of power, and gods get weaker in turn. Once an Oath is broken by either party involved, the tie between them is severed and the power gained is removed.

Gods are "created" through death. When someone dies, their consciousness is added to the consciousness of the deity representing what they valued most. For example, when a farmer dies, their consciousness joins the God of the Harvest. The more people within the god's consciousness, the stronger a god becomes.

Athelisia has an Oath with the Goddess of guidance and protection, Riasis. Athelisia protects those in danger and lives a selfless life; in return, Riasis makes her stronger and faster.
