Here are a bunch of resources (I put them in a very shoddy manner, I’m sorry) that I plan on using, have used and whatnot. I’ll probably add more to this in the future, but in the meantime, have fun with it! I’ll list summaries regarding the sites listed. *90% of the sites include links to the apps, and if not let me know or your best bet is that I mentioned it or linked the app on my March 7th masterpost of resources used so far as of 2018*
Japanese :
http://drmoku.com/ https://www.marugoto-online.jp/info/ https://minato-jf.jp/Home/ http://www.erin.ne.jp/en/ http://anime-manga.jp/index_english.html http://www.tofugu.com/
So I have experience with a few of the links. If you watch NHK like the channel or news, some of the links above are being broadcasted on the channel. I’ve never used them directly on my desktop, but I have experience with Dr. Moku. A mnemonic based methodology, one can learn Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. I think it’s free for the most part, and if not, one can visit Tofugu as well. Way more Japanese resources can be found at this Japanese hub. They also happen to have a basic free unit on how to get started on self-studying.
Korean:
http://www.sejonghakdang.org/ http://talktomeinkorean.com/ I didn’t list a lot of links here. I didn’t list a lot of links since that would be a lot of apps. Sejong is free and is kind of like a self-study language school and ttmik is a classic beginner’s strategy? was that even english Typically most people know of it, I have one of their books and they have free lessons too, but I just never really caught on to it. (This also goes for the other two languages [Asian])
Chinese:
http://chineasy.org/
I don’t have a lot of links for Chinese either. Out of the three Asian languages mentioned thus far, I’m far more advanced in Korean due to its easy writing system (and kpop) and then Japanese as I’ve visited before and just happen to watch more of their dramas. Chineasy helps people learn intonation, stroke order and whatnot, but I too am still on the journey to find a really good reliable source.
Western Languages:
https://learn.lingvist.com/ Now I don’t have a lot of resources as many people already know of a lot of language learning services like busuu, mango, lang8, some of those below and just many many more. Lingvist is different in its interface, showcasing minimalism but also a sort of more active-learning style that definitely has things sticking in peoples’ brains.  Mixed/Other:
https://www.duolingo.com/ https://www.memrise.com/ https://www.lingodeer.com/ HIKARI NAKASHIMA
I don’t think I need to really talk about memrise or duolingo, but I want to remind people that these sources aren’t completely reliable. (Especially memrise, a French teacher of mine had told me that people could alter it? And I think that’s true, so be wary. The same goes for finding sources on Tumblr.) And as for LingoDeer, it’s pretty much Duolingo, but way MORE thorough with grammatical explanations and whatnot. So I capitalized this Japanese guy’s name since he has apps on the Play and App Store with Japanese, Korean, Chinese and even French I think. He has free versions of all his apps, so take a shot at that too. They’re pretty absurd, but because they are, it’s actually really fun.
I hope this helped out, and send me an ask if you don’t know something, need help or anything else. I’m always happy to help anyone for mostly any reason! This will be updated in the future, and I’m always welcome to those who want to add more links and such!

reviewing chapter components of talktomeinkorean level 2!! [Part 1] 💕
~ ㄹ/을 거예요 - future tense 을/를 - object marking particles 그리고 - and, and then 그래서 - so, therefore 하고 - and, with (이) 랑 - and, with 월요일 - monday 화요일 - tuesday 수요일 - wednesday 목요일 - thursday 금요일 - friday 토요일 - saturday 일요일 - sunday 그렇지만 - but, however 그런데 - but, however 한테 - to someone, from someone 한테서 - from someone (*only used to describe animals & people) telling time in korean native Korean numbers are you used for the hour = 시 * numbers 1-4 change when expressing the hour to: 한 시 - one o'clock 두 시 - two o'clock 세 시 - three o'clock 네 시 - four o'clock sino korean numbers are used for the minute = 분 for example: 4:25 would be 네 시 이십오 분 *반 - means "half" and can express 30minutes, so 3:30 is 세 시 반 지금 몇 시예요? - what time is it now? counters are majority of the time used with native korean numbers. counters are placed after a noun. noun + number + counter ex: 2 apples = 사과 두 개 *1-4 irregularity : 한, 두,세,네 commonly used counters: 개 - things and objects 명 - people 병 - bottles 머리 - animals 대 - vehicles, machinery 권 - books 장 - paper, pages, tickets present progressive tense verb stem + ~고있어요 past progressive tense verb stem + ~고 있었어요 future progressive tense verb stem + ~고 있을 거예요 self introductions🤓 common sentence patterns: ABC은/는 XYZ이에요 = ABC is XYZ ex: 저는 학생이에요 = I am a student ABC은/는 XYZ이/가 + verb = as for me ABC, XYZ + verb ex: 저는 취미가 수영이에요 = my hobby is swimming ABC은/는 XYZ에/에서 + verb = ABC + verb in XYZ ex: 저는 미국에 살아요 = I live in America names of the months📆 just add the word 월, which means "month", after every corresponding sino-korean number example: July = 7월 (칠월) 몇 월 - which month For days of the month simply add the sino-korean number to the korean word 일, which means "day" 며칠 - what date 오늘 몇 월 며칠이에요? - what's today's date? ~도 - a particle meant to express: also, too using particle -도 with nouns, simply attach it to the noun. *when the particle -도 needs to be attached to a noun that already has a particle behind it, -도 can replace it 저는도 ✖️ -> 저도 ✔️ using the particle -도 with verbs, change the verb into its noun form addin -기 to the verb stem and add 도 하다 *verb stem기도 하다 ex: to also eat = 먹기도 하다

2019 quick update
Hello again studyblr community! Feels good to be slowly easing back in. I’ve been quiet the last year or two, mostly because I’ve just been busy with some personal things. But I’ve missed this.
I’m finally in my final year of university, I chose to study the LLB Law with International Relations at my university. We only have a handful of weeks left before exams and graduation comes, quite exciting and quite scary. Not really sure how I really feel yet since I’m kind of lost on what I want to do and what I should be doing after July. But the main thing is, I need to be working and earning money to support myself just a bit while I look for a job.
I’m also volunteering as a receptionist at a local charity that gives advice to people so that’s something new too.
I guess that’s it for today!

I bought a Kanken bag in the size big at the very end of December (December 27th I believe) and I’ve decided to do a review since I didn’t really see many online when I was looking! I’ll also be providing images with this hella long review! I hope this is helpful ^^
Cost: $$$$
Normally it costs $124 CAD but there was the Boxing Week sale going on that had a 20% off discount sale that brought the price down to $94 CAD (but with the $12 tax it was a total of $105). So this bag is on the waaay too pricey side.
Shipping:  ★★★★★
Since it was over $69 CAD, shipping was free! I also received the bag in 2 days!!! It came in this black packet that had bubble wrap on the inside and inside that was another clear packet was my bag
Appearance:  ★★★☆☆
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Its really chic and I am in love with the look. but i’ve had it for about less than a month and it’s gotten so dirty :( the dust is very visible and if it gets scuffed a little, from the shipping (I think? I’m not sure... my bag had marks before I even got it) like mine, it’s very noticeable
Tumblr media
I really need to wash it OTL
What fits?
usually people only show things that fit inside travel wise and not school supplies, so that’s what I did since I’ll be using this as a school bag!
In the small compartment:  ★★★★★
Tumblr media
2 full pencil cases
1 pack of 10 Staedtler Triplus Fineliner
1 calculator
1 small pouch for my different cards
1 small Vaseline Lip Therapy
You can also fit some granola bars but I didn’t have any with me atm
In the main compartment:  ★★★☆☆
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1 12″ inch ruler
2 full 2″ inch binders
1 empty 1″ inch binder (to substitute textbooks bc I left mine at school rip)
1 full pencil case
1 pack of 10 Staedtler Triplus Fineliner
1 (pretty skinny) agenda
1 15.6″ inch laptop
there was actually a little bit more space left for smaller things. Though I couldn’t fit my water bottle in the pouch because the lack of space (if that makes sense). the pouch for water bottles is actually very skinny so only thin water bottles like the Smart Water bottles might fit. To be honest, I had higher expectations since people said that it fit so many things (esp. in the classic) and I’m lowkey scared my math and science textbook won’t fit with my 2 2″ inch binders.
Comfort:  ★★★★☆
Dude, its hella comfy. I have really bad back pain and my posture is so bad rip and just like the brand promises, it does help with the pain. I don’t know how to explain it but it’s always pressed against my back in a way so I’m forced to stand up straight (!!!) and unless it’s extremely heavy, I don’t usually bend forward.
For more info I suggest you see this video. It’s for the maxi size but it’s still helpful!
Material:  ★★★★★
It seems water resistant (I haven’t tested it yet) as stated on the site, and its seems durable like everyone says (again, I’ve only had this for about less than a month so I don’t know myself). The site also says that it’s Eco-friendly, so that’s a plus!
Overall rating:  ★★★★☆
I give it that because I would like more space personally and it gets dirty really fast and its noticeable. But I still love it!
