I love the part were Ciel etc goes to the queen for an audience in book 22 and at the gate theres double Charles and on Phipp’s shoulder theres a chicken standing. I was so confused and amused by the fact that no one talks about the chicken or ask questions. Then I was reminded that the chicken is a coninue to the easter chapter were Charles and Charles egg was hatching.

Snippet Sunday

Sharing excerpts from a couple of WIPs below!

This first one is from a fantasy Bardcliff fic (title pending), in which knight!Bard must survive an encounter with Grelle the Red Lady of the Lake in order to win the sword she guards.

“Easy, girl.”

Bard tugged on the reins, bringing his roan mare to a halt. Strider snorted and let out a faint whinny, and her nostrils flared as she pawed the ground with her hoof.

Bard gave her an encouraging pat on the neck. Her coat was several shades darker, damp with sweat. Poor thing. He hated having to ride her this hard.

“Guess yer tired as me. Probably moreso, seein’ as yer had to lug around a knight an’ his armor all day.”

He reminded himself to give her one of the carrots stowed away in his travel bag later that evening.

“I know it ain’t easy, but we have ter to this…for the young prince.”

Bard dismounted, yanked off his helmet, and swore under his breath while trying to work the stiffness out of his muscles. He’d ridden almost nonstop for most of the day, and being in the saddle that long made a fellow damn sore.

“So this is it, eh? The Red Lady’s lake.”

The songs and legends often spoke of its beauty, but they’d failed to do it justice. The body of water was surrounded on all sides by dense forest. The trees’ vibrant green leaves shone like pieces of stained glass in the setting sun’s rays, and seemed to whisper some delightful secret amongst themselves when the wind rustled their branches. The lake’s surface was so perfectly smooth that it acted like a vast mirror, drawing the sunset’s fiery golds and rosy pinks into its depths. And the waters themselves…

Serene, perfect blue. Like the sapphire ring the young prince wore on his thumb. Bard wanted a closer look.

And a snippet from the long-overdue Chapter 9 of Metanoia, “Gifts,” in which Agni and Sebastian make Christmas presents for each other!

Touch was a crucial source of comfort for the butler. On days when the young earl tried his patience, Agni had seen him squeezing their cats’ dainty pink paws, his harried expression relaxing into an affectionate smile. He loved petting her and the kittens, removing his gloves to bury his fingers in their dark fur. ‘There’s nothing softer. It’s about as close to heaven as someone like me can get,’ he’d once confided to Agni. And Sebastian played with Agni’s hair every chance he could, giving it a mischievous tug when they were working together, braiding it when they had a spare minute to themselves, or caressing it like a woman letting treasured strings of pearls spill through her fingers while she admired her jewelry.

This carving should be pleasing to the touch, then. Smooth, without sharp, jagged edges. Fitting naturally in Sebastian’s palm. But what exactly should it be? Agni held the wooden block and closed his eyes. His mind travelled back to the day Sebastian had first shown him the kittens, and how gently his lover’s hands had cradled them.

The khansama’s eyes snapped open. A cat! A lovely little cat that Sebastian could hold when he was feeling overwrought and needed something to fidget with. Agni would paint it black, in honor of Sebastian’s “lady.” He smiled when he thought of the butler patting her domed head and babbling in adoration while she purred. Something beautiful and bright sprang to life in Sebastian’s eyes at such times, like the moon shining in the night sky.

Agni set to work, shaping the block into a gift he hoped would be worthy of his beloved.

Kuroshitsuji started to drop massively in the school arc, I remember a lot of people dropped it during that arc. The Green Witch one pretty much killed it, people only started to come back after the twins reveal, which had already been figured out and was probably THE most popular theory for years before the reveal.

Yeah, you’re right. But actually I liked School Arc very much, so as Green Arc, but it also had weak moments. But never in the history of this manga those weak moments were THAT LONG. And this whole twins plot… Okay, it’s clishee and we found out much earlier, but that doesn’t meant that the story had to end like this. I mean… If they would go to the Yard we could at least have a chance to find osmehting out. Now I guess we will have a chapter about another talking about what to do, where to go, or whatever. Idk, but when she decided to let him go - she just killed this story. I’m not surprise that those who liked the idea of 2CT came back - it’s natural. Same as for many others - it’s just a thing that you knew one day will be revieled and you wanted to know how it going to be. But I observe it here on tumblr, on dA and any other social media - people are very inactive compare to how they were a year ago. They are really active between 15-22 of every mont and after then… It’s like this fandom really is dying. People are bored, frustrated, dissapointment. and don’t forget about all the hate that this twin drama coused: first Sebastian, then UT, then Lizzy and ofc Ciel (the real one), who actually didn’t do anything THAT BAD as his brother did (at least not that we know off), but people still hate him because he’s a threat to their “beloved pumpink pie” who is a shameless liar and a killer. So it’s not surprising that people aren’t active. 

And I’m just sad and angry because this series literally change my life: I go back to writing, started doing coloring, went to japanese classes, get interested in digital graphic and many other things. It’s the reason I am who I am right now. And after all of this it ends like that… I just want the series to get back to it’s best times and Ill believe untill the end, even if I know there is only a small chance for that… Well, everything become bad at some point if it last for too long, but I’ve never thought 145 is “too long” for Kuroshitsuji :( .

honestly i feel like we’ve seen or heard about so many of Ch. 129 in spoilers already that this chapter felt a little short (even though it wasn’t). it just felt like it moved a bit quicker as opposed to other chapters. i really did love it though. it’s gonna be especially hard to wait for next months chapter!

Ch 126 review: dread

I have this terrible suspicion that all of chapter 127 is going to be Sebastian regaling Abberline and Double Charles with tales of dead parlimentarians, and we still won’t know who showed up at the townhouse.

Layout of the cult (Ft. 2CT)

I was rereading the Green witch arc the other night the other night when I noticed something kind of strange? This doesn’t affect the story at all but I think Ciel’s past is one of the most interesting parts of Black butler so this caught my eye. 

This is during chapter 90 during Ciel’s flashback but it doesn’t look like the room with the alter that we know? Instead of an alter there seems to be boxes behind the men. There are at least 4/5 cages in this picture unlike when it is shown in the Circus arc where there is clearly 3.

This picture has always been a bit odd to me for a few reasons that I may get to in another post but mainly the 3 cages. If I’m just crazy and it’s just an illusion and there really are 3 cages, they aren’t close enough to create the same affect as there is in the 1st picture. Assuming I’m right and there are 5, that would make the layout of the first picture more more or less like this…

This shouldn’t be a surprise that there are more rooms in the cult I mean why wouldn’t there be? It is clearly a large building shown in chapter 62. I’ve seen theories about how it may be a manor or a home with the alter room underground but that just seems really improbable? The cult is clearly in the middle of no where with no roads or pathways near or leading up to the building.

Anyway, this would explain a lot of questions Ciel’s shady flash backs have given us. 

-Our Ciel went from being clearly surrounded by other children in the 1st room being fed to being in the room with the alter alone in the cage watching real Ciel get killed because there was a time jump from room to room. 

-It would also explain why all the cages were suddenly empty. Maybe they didn’t keep the children there unless they were planning on killing them (or sadistically making them watch their brother get straight up murdered right in front of them)

Ciels flashbacks have never really been clear cut and he obviously doesn’t like to talk about it so I’m not surprised little things like what the layout of the building haven’t been reviled and since so much of Sebastian cinematic record was cut out of Book of the Atlantic I’m sure that won’t be of much help but I hope this gave a little light to a question no one was asking. Feel free to correct me if I’m completely wrong!!
