Can 16 million Twitter followers be wrong? Sometimes one is contrarian, going against something popular because it’s not yet accepted as cool. Ultimately, it is not cool to claim to be an avid music fan, yet miss out on a genius of our generation due to pre-conceived notions.

i think ALL the time about: you walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht, your hat strategically dipped below one eye, your scarf it was apricot...the specificity, the scene painting, the storytelling, it's very clear taylor's roots are in writers like carly simon, carole king, and the like. she learned how to utilize and craft those details and emotions in their footsteps, while still being uniquely her own.
