👑 A Royal Wedding in Paris

A few weeks after quietly saying “I do” in a civil ceremony in New York, Princess Iman Pahlavi, granddaughter of the late Shah of Iran and Empress Farah Diba, celebrated her wedding to Bradley Sherman with a grand, multi-day event in Paris.

👰 The bride wore several stunning gowns throughout the weekend, including a main wedding dress designed by Elie Saab, which featured a detachable neckline for a day-to-evening transformation.

🎉 The celebration brought together members of the Iranian imperial family, including Empress Farah, who warmly congratulated the couple and wished them "many years of happiness, success, blue skies and sunshine."

🎶 The festivities included traditional and modern touches, with music by Arash Labaf, one of the most well-known Iranian artists worldwide.

📍 Princess Iman, daughter of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, lives in New York and works in finance. Born in 1993, she is also active in humanitarian work.

Video Ensayo en el marco de la materia de Teorías del Audiovisual, en donde tome roles de cámara y búsqueda de archivos audiovisuales.

���Cartas Audiovisuales” (2021) Realización 4

https://youtu.be/cEmRMc5dURU Trabajo final en el marco de la materia Realización 4, en donde a través de una correspondencia audiovisual, dos amigos reflexionan sobre la distancia, sus archivos, el mundo post-pandemia y los bloqueos creativos. En dicho trabajo me encargué de la edición, grabación, guión y sonido de mis cartas audiovisuales (la 1, la 3 y la 5).

“Epistolario Penal” (2021) Realización 4 en conjunto con la Subsecretaría de Derechos Humanos en Programa de Créditos Libres.

Este trabajo formó parte del programa “Créditos Libres” de la materia Realización 4, en donde trabajé junto con la Subsecretaría de Derechos Humanos, creando material audiovisual para una de sus secciones tituladas “Audiocuentos”. En ella, trabajé con un epistolario sobre un preso político, que mantenía correspondencia con su esposa, también detenida. Me encargue de toda la realización, la edición y el sonido de dicho trabajo, generando imágenes para la lectura de la carta.

“Dualidades” (2021) Dirección de Arte y Diseño de Producción

Trabajo sobre la materialidad narrativa, en el marco de la materia Dirección de Arte y Diseño de Producción. En dicho trabajo me encargué de la grabación y la edición. “Ensayo 1: La máquina” (2020) Cortometraje ganador del premio LaBaf 2019, en el marco del Festival REC de La Plata.

Cortometraje - Google Drive En este cortometraje, se narra la historia de Elisa, una joven inventora y artista sonora que, durante el proceso de producción de su último proyecto, atraviesa conflictos emocionales con sus vínculos sexo-afectivos, lo que la llevan a una reflexión interna sobre el amor, las relaciones y el arte, experimentalo como un viaje sensorial. En dicho proyecto tome el rol de Co-Dirección.

“Portal: El colibrí y el lobo azul” (2019) Iluminación y Cámara 3

Trabajo final en el marco de la materia Iluminación y Cámara 3, donde ficcionalizamos el ensayo de una obra a partir de fragmentos del libro de Leonor Silvestri “Ética amatoria del deseo libertario y las afectaciones libres y alegres” en donde las protagonistas desdibujan las líneas de realidad y ficción, sumergiéndose en la introspección y la búsqueda de su propia libertad. En dicho trabajo me encargué de la Dirección de Fotografía. “Efectos de nuestros sueños sobre el cristal” (2018) Iluminación y Cámara 2B. 

Trabajo final en el marco de la materia Iluminación y Cámara 2B, basado en un fragmento de “Una novelita lumpen” de Roberto Bolaños, en el cual dos hermanos deben lidiar con la repentina muerte de sus padres y afrontar estar solos en el mundo. En dicho trabajo me encargué de la cámara y la dirección de fotografía.

Eurovision Fact #175:

Many of the contestants participating in the 2009 contest were not actually from the nation they were representing.

Winner of that year's contest and representative for Norway Alexander Rybak is Belarusian. But he did grow up and spend most of his life in Norway.

Arash Labaf, performing with AySel for Azerbaijan, is Iranian and he said his performance for Azerbaijan was just as much for them as it was for Iran.

For the most part, this is the norm with the contest and is widely accepted. However, Russia's entry caused a bit of a stir for this exact reason:

Russia's entry, Anastasia Prikhodko, was actually Ukrainian. She had initially tried to represent Ukraine, but when she was rejected she went to Russia. Some Russian patriots complained that the entry was essentially not Russian enough since it was composed by a Georgian, lyrics were written by an Estonian, it was sung in Russian and Ukrainian, and performed by someone born in Kyiv.

Prikhodko was also controversial due to her former racist remarks about black and Chinese people and her alleged familial ties to neo-Nazis.

Two-night event to bring legendary Persian musicians to Saudi Arabia’s AlUla

ALULA: A two-night event celebrating Persian music is coming to Saudi Arabia’s AlUla as part of the ongoing Winter at Tantora Festival.

Seven influential and renowned Persian musicians — legendary Iranian pop-singer Shahram Shabpareh, classic songstress Leila Forouhar, Ebrahim Hamedi (better known by his stage name Ebi), Sasy, Shadmehr Aghili, Andy and platinum-selling singer and producer Arash Labaf — will entertain the crowds at the historical and cultural site’s Maraya Concert Hall on March 5 and 6.

The event, “Persian Night - Music Without Borders” forms part of Saudi Arabia’s focus on establishing the Winter at Tantora Festival as a hub for cultural exchange and dialogue as well as the sharing of diverse artistic traditions.

Over the past 12 weeks, the festival has presented a variety of cultural, entertainment and artistic activities that bring together eastern and western culture.

Greek musician Yanni, Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli (who both played at last year’s festival) and Moroccan singer Aziza Jalalhave all appeared at this year’s edition.

In addition to concerts, several other events have been taking place, including cooking under the stars with chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants, the Fursan horse race and the AlUla balloon festival.

There have been tours on offer of Madain Saleh, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage site, and landmarks such as AlUla’s famous Elephant Rock.

Described as the Kingdom’s archaeological jewel, AlUla has been a meeting point of many civilizations throughout history.

This year’s program was extended for an additional two weeks in January, and is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors throughout its run.
