"Something like that." He glanced around, filtering through the normal for the unusual. Superman spots what he believes to be one of the spider bots in question clinging to the underside of a car. "I think you might have some luck 25 blocks away. You're looking for a black ford expedition. Any chance that the bot is clinging to an ominous SUV by chance?"

"Not that I can tell. I mean the spider-bots that I've built over the years have never had any sort of surveillance ability and I've only ever put webshooters and low-energy sonic blasts in them for clearing away debris if it's in a spot I can't get to. Whoever made these seems to have similar ideas. Why? Do you have like x-ray vision or something?" he asked with a chuckle.

"Peter." Was it still weird to refer to someone else by the same name as himself? Yes. It most certainly was. Did he complain? Absolutely not. He had expected to be alone; it was high up. If anyone was going to find him, it was Spider-Man. But there was the whole of New York. Peter could've been anywhere. It was random chance and luck, probably, that crossed their paths.

"Yeah, no, I'm-- I'm okay." Sort of. There was a lot on his mind. "What brings you to Empire State this late at night?"

If this wasn’t their last year, with everything going on, maybe they would have skipped the homecoming dance. It had been pretty uncomfortable inside, and making their way up to the school roof had been a bit of a reprieve. Sitting on one of the ledges, his question surprises her. Not the least because, out here, there’s no music. At least, she can’t hear the music. 

“Sure.”

"... You know what? You're probably RIGHT." MJ conceded with a laugh, feeding Pete a single kernel of popcorn out of her fingertips like it was his REWARD for the insight. It was honestly a little OVERWHELMING, the peace they were enjoying now after all the years of struggle. The QUIET of Queens, both literally and metaphorically. In the early days of it, when SMOKE from the cultists' fires and black ooze from the symbiotes were still lingering to the various corners of the city, MJ had worried that the things they'd promised each other wouldn't last. That they'd BEND to the city's need for Spider-man, like they always had for the last decade. Peter's EMPATHY and sense of responsibility were two of the things she loved most about him, that he was always looking to make a difference in the lives of everyone he came across.

But that desire had pulled him from her side time and time again - wouldn't it always?

NO. No, apparently not. Apparently when Pete had promised her he'd CHANGE this time? He'd MEANT it; he was going to make her dreams come true, too. And luckily for him? THIS happened to be one of them.

"Well, there's a few VARIETIES now. But it's always about couples who want the K-1 spousal visa and the struggles of having ninety days to plan the wedding once they land, hence ... the name." she shrugged, reaching for her glass of wine on the coffee table. "It USED to feature a bunch of genuine couples, but in the last decade it's turned into a cluster of disastrous pairs who should be nowhere near a marriage office. Seriously, like THIS lady? Never even heard her so-called fiancé's VOICE before and she swears he's the love of her life..."

"I'm guessing that's the point of most of these reality shows?" he asked with another chuckle- and another few pieces of popcorn. Super-hero-ing or not, his appetite was pretty much always there. It'd leveled out a little bit since he'd decided to let Spider-Man rest for a while, but his metabolism was always going to be at least a little higher than most.

He loved this, though. Didn't love what it'd taken for him to stop and rework his life like this, of course, but he was grateful. Actually getting to spend quality time at a predictable time with MJ. In their house. God, that was never going to get old. Leaning his head to rest on top of hers, he snuggled in even closer, indescribably happy to just be on the couch with his girlfriend, watching trash tv. Peter knew he'd never be a normal person- the spider bite and the way he'd been raised by his amazing aunt and uncle to always help those he could had seen to that- but this reset was exactly what he'd needed. What they'd both needed. For as long as he could remember, MJ had been one of the most important people in his life. And while he knew that probably neither of them would trade the lives they'd lead for anything (well, apart from a few moments... recent ones, too), they'd needed to make space to just be Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson for a while. To heal from the past few years and find a better balance.

Being corrupted even a little bit wasn’t a good thing in the slightest. That being said, Stephen is now the only one who even remotely knows about Spiderman and feels like a fool when he talked to America Chavez about Peter Parker. The darkhold bears the wielder a heavy toll and though he hadn’t touched the book ever since the whole dead body stunt, he now has the knowledge of something he shouldn’t have as of late.

Still, it wouldn’t hurt to just casually call out to Spidey while the kid was near Greenwich since it’s still considered to be in New York City. Which happened just now. Maybe Stephen could do the whole ‘Do I know you’ thing he had done with America and see how things go from there. His wave was a little odd since it was more friendly than just having at a stranger but with the corruption, all of his normal habits were a little muddled at the moment.

“Hey. How are you holding up? No reality opening up on you or anything? I’m joking. Or am I? Who knows at this point”. Yes something was wrong but it would be a cold day in hell before Stephen would admit in being a little influenced by dark magic despite the book being gone in all universes.

Peter stiffened, slowly lowering the webshooters he’d been tinkering with. Peter One was so different than him, they’d had different childhoods, they knew different people, they’d had different tragedies that shaped them. But Peter KNEW that tone intimately. That small, trembling voice was the same one he used when he felt utterly hopeless.

“No,” Peter said, looking at his younger self with a mixture of compassion and helplessness. “None of this is your fault. Not the villains, not the spell, not May, none of it. You were dealt a bad hand kiddo, worse than any one I’ve had.”

“But you’re doing so good, despite it all.” Better than I have been.

Carol will protect Peter 1 to the end of her days, fact. He is the sweetest, and gave her his Disney+ account to binge (which she 100% does, and probably shares it with the Guardians on movie night, let’s not lie).

Peter 3 is a fun companion to have on a spaceship, especially when he jumped up on the ceiling and Carol just sort of… stared.

You’re an amazing person to talk to, and I really enjoy reading your headcanons and thoughts that pop up on dash. Your writing is top notch and your characterisation on both muses is wonderful.

The city never slept, and Oscorp didn't, not really. Harry wasn't very different, in the grand scheme of things: after a long day in the office, then a long evening in his personal lab, he was exhausted. Still, he knew he wouldn't be able to fall asleep easily, and so he'd gone to the roof of his apartment. He liked the quiet, and he'd brought one of his sketchpads, just in case.

He really hadn't expected to find a very quiet, new (because he certainly wasn't one of the other two) Spider-Man just there. Truly, how did they keep appearing?

A golden chance... if he hadn't sounded so young.

Harry was unarmed, yes, and in one of his more human days. But even if he hadn't been... he was not yet desperate enough to harm a kid. Maybe someday, maybe soon. But not yet.

"Your peers tend to do much more moving, much more fighting." He commented, glancing at him from the corner of his eye, but mostly gazing at the city. "I take we're going to have a third Spider-Man in the city?"

Peter nearly jumped at the sound of a voice, not expecting anyone else to be around. He’d been lost in his own thoughts, staring out at the city below from behind his mask. Sure, he understood this universe’s Peter’s hesitancy for him to be seen in the suit, a different suit given that this New York already had a second Spider-Man. But he’d needed to clear his head. Just be alone for a little bit, even if part of why he’d decided to tackle multiverse travel was so he could visit his ‘brothers’. And the best way he knew to clear his head and be alone was to go for a swing and find a tall building to sit on. He’d waited until it was late- almost early morning. Sure, the city never slept but it did have its quieter times. And he hadn’t even thought about if this was an apartment or office building- not until someone’d spotted him.

“Oh! Oh, um… yeah, I’m fine,” he said, half-wondering if he should’ve made an attempt to sound like the other Peter. Too late for that now. “Sorry. I was just, um… Thinking.”

自109年 1 月 1 日起，外籍學生工作許可申請案件經勞動部核准後，一律核發工作許可函而非工作許可證。為避免僱用未經許可的外籍學生從事工作，應徵時需請外籍生出示本人的工作許可函，掃描許可函上 QR code 以驗證許可的真偽，並應認明驗證網址確定為 https://ezwp.wda.gov.tw  之後，再核對居留證正本及學生證等「雙證件」，以確認此許可函為其本人所持有，且仍具學生身分，並至勞動部 「全國外籍勞工動態查詢系統」 (https://labor.wda.gov.tw/labweb/ )，即時線上查驗學生…
