Bounce, Bounce Planet

Details:

"Bounce, Bounce Planet", Planet Lab's most recent videogame, was released to the public in the via an open beta. The first ten players to enter the game received complimentary tickets to "Planet Lab's Cloud Island", Planet Lab's holographic theme park.

Plot:

In an in-game article posted by Planet Lab (top), we learn that the clouds that serve as the the blobbu's solid ground have developed a large hole. To remedy this crisis, the Elderblobbus devised a plan to rescue their Planet. By playing the game as blobbus and gathering Cotton Candies (bottom), players can reseal the sky and transform the Planet back into a safe haven for all blobbus.

Gameplay:

The game features in-game characters, blobbus, for each of the central characters (left). Additionally, players can customize their personal blobbu's name and appearance to their preferences (right).

The game is played by rolling dice and traversing a map of squares to collect CottonCandies. A fraction of these squares trigger mini-games, rewards, or consequences that impact gameplay (left). The winner of the game is either the first player to collect a total of fifty Cotton Candies or the player with the most Cotton Candies after ten rounds (bottom right).
