it’s @lapidot-week’s spies au day! originally i didn’t know wtf it was, then i discovered @romans-art’s lapidot soviet spies au and i fell for it.

this is a scene of it, in which lapis finally discovers and understands her feelings thanks to (ofc) garnet. and she panicks in gay all the night long.

Hello Great Friends,

I couple weeks ago, I announced that I was working on a story based on @romans-art’s magnificent Soviet Spies AU for Steven Universe, featuring Lapis Lazuli and Peridot as an undercover duo experiencing the "slowest of slow burns in all of slow burn history" as they attempt to steal atomic secrets for the Soviets.

Well, I’m happy to present to you the first few chapters of:

The Great Equalizer

In which our heroes are pushed into place by the powers that be in preparation for the action to come. In other words, it’s really an extended scene setter; Lapis and Peridot will be much more active in driving the adventure in the chapters to come. BUT I worked mucho hard on this and wanted to get it out there, so if the premise sounds interesting, do please give it a look! I’ve got more content already written — it just needs to be bridged together by the chapters that come in between.

It's 1946. World War Two is over. But Russia is keen to get there hands on an atomic weapon. To even the playing field.

Peridot: an atomic physicist and engineer doesn't like monopolys Lapis lazuli: a soviet spy tasked with helping peridot get the info and get it to Russia.

Their cover: newlyweds.

How will this dynamic affect them? Can they resist forever. Even with the state of the free and fair worlds on their shoulders.

 Or in other words the slowest of slow lapidot fanfics. Based on insecurities. Dorkyness and my terrible sware filled writing.

As I can’t find any Steven and Lapis only content today so I decided make another speech. So for this time we talk about “AU”. “AU” means Alternate Universe which means like kind of another dimension like that. askbirdkeeperperi has a great AU based on Lapis become bird(lapeeps) and Peridot as the bird keeper which uses Lapidot themed. Also, there is Soviet Spies AU from romans-art also Lapidot theme. One of the common AU for Lapidot is Roomate AU which means Peridot and Lapis as roomate in aparment in the middle of a city instead barn. I am sorry for bringing Lapidot here because I don’t know any AU with shipping theme. So, I was thinking how Steven/Lapis AU then? Well, I think I reblog a post with Lapis in Steven position while Steven is the one who trapped in a mirror and saved by Lapis. Also, yesterday I also reblog a text post said that what if Steven going home with Lapis in Mirror Gem episode. I am also thinking some AU like if Steven and Lapis as lifeguards at a beach or Steven and Lapis as owner of an aquarium. I also thinking of Steven helping Lapis go to her home as fish! How about you? What AU do you want for Steven and Lapis?

So I've recently been reading @romans-art Lapidot Soviet Spies AU, and me and my friend are thinking of cosplaying the characters. I woke up to my somewhat screwy Peridot hair, so nows the decision: Should I bring back my Lapis wig and cosplay for this or should I try Peri?? Plus, if this is actually going to happen, I don't know which outfits to choose from!! Ahhhhhh so much!!!!

Hello wonderful SU peoples,

Those of you who have followed me for awhile have probably noticed that I’m really big on the fan art, and tend to also stick to the canon relationships in said art. I usually like to stay away from theorycrafting, fanfics, shipping, etc.

What you don’t know is that I’m a giant sucker for Cold War politics, tales of high espionage, and 1940s fashion. Those of you who have already come across @romans-art’s super excellent Soviet Spies AU featuring Lapis as a Soviet pilot coerced into spying and Peridot as a traitorous American nuclear scientist can probably tell where I’m going with this.

The chief problem with this AU is that there is  n o t  e n o u g h  c o n t e n t, and having run out of episodes to watch of the great great show The Americans, I decided to flex the creative writing muscles and make some of my own, since the creator has openly expressed a desire for others to write about it.

Currently I just have some planning notes and working drafts of a couple scenes inspired by art and ask responses by the AU creator. ...Actually, I’ve got more war drama content right now than anything else because I’ve been mostly warming up with Lapis’ backstory, which I’ll likely be using as flashbacks or nightmares. Still working on how to string everything else together into an arc, but I’m really excited about this.

Also still working out how I want to handle the names (especially Peridot’s), but if y’all want a some short previews, here are a couple early excerpts: 1 2
