Learning about the origins of the Diamonds and the Gem Empire (finding out who their creators are???)

Exploring the galaxy, meeting more alien life

Meeting more Gems that don't like the changes of Era 3

Flashbacks to back when they were escaping Homeworld in Season 5 of the original show

Flashbacks of the Off Colors origins

Rhodonite's and Flourite's respective components and love stories

New love interest for Lars? (Emerald?? New character?? Idc)

Lars exploring his Lion powers and coping with the fact that he's gonna live for hundreds of years.... at least

Cameos from Steven and everyone back on Earth

Garnet interacting with Rhodonite and Fluorite

Garnet's Sapphire interacting with Padparascha

Padparascha + Rhodonite = New Sardonyx!!!

I also had this cool idea of the show possibly jumping in time, out of chronological order. Like, because the synopsis says "we'll be exploring the past, present and future" maybe we'll jump around in time and get some episodes in the past before Steven Universe, some episodes happening at the same time as Steven Universe or SUFuture, others far in the future, etc.

Idk if that idea's too ambitious and maybe I've been watching too much This Is Us but I think they could pull it off. Since Lars is not aging rn and Gems don't age either, they could totally pull off the misdirection about trying to make us wonder when exactly we are in the timeline.

Either way, we're so back baby

Rewatching og steven universe and I really don't know how they got away with lars' death scene like??

It's pretty harsh, you see the explosion and then his body getting slammed violently against the wall and falling pretty hard to the ground and after that steven checks his heartbeat. this isn't a "HOW DiD ThEy GeT aWaY wiTH tHis" post I do genuinely think it's a pretty brutal death scene given it aired on Cartoon Network and other things. I am interested in how it got approved, I guess because he brings lars back to life right after? I might check the art book to see if they mention it there, also the ringing noise and slamming sounds really just augh
