gritting my teeth so hard sparks fly out why is it so hard to ask people to sit down and watch something you like with you
#about to propose watching yyh with my folks even though the honter honter watchthru attempt i tried in early highschool#was actually emotionally devastating and damaged me for years afterwards. HOW DO I PROPOSE WATCHING THINGS#gonna attempt to get my mom in on it bc she's way more down to watch stuff w us and has done so w like. western cartoons before#whereas my dad is like nah thats lame and moves on. so this relies on the theory that my key failure#last time was in choosing my dad as the target for bonding exercises. but he's here rn so it'd feel awkward to exclude him#but he's prolly gonna scoff and sigh and laugh at it and stuff if he's here and my mom'll go along#instead of giving it a chance. aughh i shouldn't do this im not emotionally stable enough to bear my heart like this again#yyy's probably the series im most sensitive about/an insult to it would wreck me for days about atm#which is dumb but I can't just stop being like that! i care too much!! but i also really wanna for some reason#ughh why is it so much harder with parents than with friends.. (<- perfectly aware of the reasons)#prbbrbrbrbrbrbrbbrbrbrbrrrr.... sorry im moping and putting off asking by making this. augh#it's even worse when it starts kinda rough. hands and knees forehead to the floor BEGGING i swear it gets better i swear it gets better i se#GAH. You didn’t think it would change anything when you finally became his wife. You were already hopelessly devoted to him, already clinging to him in the mornings, moaning into his mouth every night, already cooking for him, folding his laundry, and kissing his forehead when he groaned and collapsed on the warm couch after his long, tiring 12-hour shift.
But something about the word ‘husband’ did something to you.
Like today. He’s in the kitchen, still in his grimy, work clothes—sweaty shirt pulled tight over his broad chest with the outlines of his muscles bulging out, grease on his hands and his jaw clenched as he harshly opens a jar like it personally insulted him. He mutters a curse when the lid sticks. You’re watching from the doorway with your thighs slowly pressing together as you stare at him like some creepy weirdo.
Not boyfriend. Not roommate. Not fling.
Husband.
Your husband.
Your strong, mean, sexy-ass husband who still calls you “kid” when he’s tired but kisses your ring finger every night before bed. Who talks with his mouth full and gets dirt under his nails but still wears the gold band you slid onto his finger like it was forged into his skin and he makes sure to never lets it get dirty and takes good care of it. Who lets you pick matching toothbrushes and pajama sets for the two of you. Who built you shelves or whatever you want in that case because he’d practically do anything you ask him to. Who splits you in half every night while groaning “my fucking wife” into your throat as he’s pumping warm ropes of his seed into your cunt.
“Toji,” you called out lowly, already walking towards him with your heart pounding for no reason.
He doesn’t even look up. “Yeah?”
“You’re my husband”.
He glances over with his brow raised in confusion and a soft chuckle. “That’s usually how marriage works, baby”.
You reach behind him and slide your hands up his big chest—feeling his hard muscles warm beneath your palms. “I mean it. You’re my husband”.
He stills, clocking the tone in your voice, the shine in your eyes, the way your thighs squeeze together like you’re already aching for him.
“Oh,” he murmurs, finally smirking. “It’s one of those moods”.
“Mhm,” you nod, leaning in to kiss his neck. “Can’t help it. Just wanna climb you all the time”
“Just from me being your husband?”
You nod again. “It’s hot. I’m married to a big, mean, sexy man who fucks me stupid and good every night till I fall asleep like it’s his full-time job”.
He huffs a laugh and sets the jar down. “Oh you’re something else, darling”.
You palm him over his pants and grin happily when you feel he’s already half-hard. “But you love it”.
He doesn’t deny it.
Instead, he grabs your hips and hoists you onto the counter with a grunt, wedging himself between your parted legs and resting his hands on your soft thighs. His hands are rough, a little dirty still, and it only turns you on even more—your blue-collar husband, coming home all worn and warm from working and providing for you.
“You get this wet just from thinking about my last name on your ID?” he teases, sliding a finger along your warm, clothed slit.
You gasp and eagerly nod, clutching and tugging at his shirt to pull him closer—desperately craving more. “Need you to remind me what being your wife means”.
His smile goes sharp and easily lifts you up with his palms beneath your thighs and carries you to the bedroom. “Then hold on, Mrs. Fushiguro. I’m gonna remind you real good”.

Ghost gets no bitches and he reminds me of whatever that TikTok audio is that’s like “how’d you get her?” And the other person is like “get her? No she grabbed me by the throat and told me I was hers”.
Word count: 800
Warnings: none (ghost being immediately whipped)
So hear me out you’re at the grocery store and while walking down the aisles you see this behemoth of a man. Big muscle sexy, surgical mask covering his face. You want. What to say? How should you approach? Ah yes you need help getting something from the top shelf. Stepping so you’re in his line of sight
“Could you come here?” You ask him and he just gives you a blank stare. Raising your eyebrows clearly waiting for a response he turns around looking for who you could be talking to and who is clearly not listening to you. When he sees no one else in the aisle he slowly points at himself, questioning you. “Yes you.” You smile trying to hold in a laugh. Quickly adding a “please” in the sweetest little voice and he is scurrying over to you.
“Could you please reach that box for me?” Ghost raises his arm up and points to a box when you nod confirming that’s the one you want he hands it to you. “That one too please” he obeys. You have him hand you two more boxes (not needing any of them). Then you try to push your luck a little. “Wait not this one” you hand him a box back and he returns it to the shelf. Before you know it you’ve had this man put all the boxes back just to hand them to you again. A smirk plastered on your face. Not once did the large man question you, not when you were looking up at him with those pretty eyes.
“Ok done with this aisle. Come on.” You start walking and his feet are following you. He hasn’t said a word to you but is following you around the store like a puppy. Down the next aisle you pointed at something (well within your reach) and he handed it you.
“Are you always this obedient?” You watched his eyes go wide but he found himself nodding. He’d probably say yes to anything you ask when you’re looking at him like that, like you want to eat him whole. His answer brought a smile to your face and he swore his knees were gonna buckle. You held out your hand, “phone.” It was a statement not a question and he quickly (fumbling) pulled his phone from his pocket and handed it to you. When you saw it was locked you looked up at him moving the phone ever so slightly towards him. You had meant for him to take the phone and unlock it but instead he mumbled out “0000” a small but dramatic gasp left your lips “oh so he does speak.” You typed in the 4 digits and the phone opened. You looked up at him when the basic passcode worked. “Simple and obedient. Just how I like ‘em” ghost swallowed hard. No one has ever treated him like this. Spoke to him like this. Not even Price. He should be offended? Insulted? Definitely not turned on. Right? (mark him down and scared AND horny). You handed his phone back to him, your number and name resting on his screen. He reached to take the phone from you, but you didn’t let go. Fingers touching you looked up at him “you better call me. I’ll be real sad if you dont.” He swore he was gonna pass out. Before you let go of his phone, hands still touching, heavy steps made their way into your aisle.
“Aye lieutenant there ye are. Been wandering round lookin fer ya.” Soap called down the aisle.
Ghost refused to acknowledge his friend calling for him, keeping eye contact with you. Your smile got bigger as you let go of the phone.
“Lieutenant huh? That mean you know how to give orders too?” He nodded again. “Then I’m definitely going to need you to call me. I’d like to see that.” Your eyes shamelessly raked down his figure. Fuck he needs to hold on to something.
Once you finally walked away, Soap approached quickly asking who you were and when ghosted shrugged his shoulders “I don’t know.” (But he’s gonna that’s for sure)
“She’s a fine looking lass I’m gonna go talk to her.” Ghost’s hand moved fast, grabbing the back of Soap’s neck guiding (pushing) him in the opposite direction of you. He was thanking god you saw him first and not Soap. If you had talked to Soap like that, ghost knew you’d have him walking on a leash (who’s he kidding if you had asked ghost would’ve barked)

୨୧ ― The playground falls silent when Sukuna's shadow darkens the entrance.
Six foot four of raw muscle and barely contained violence, his black fitted shirt strained against broad shoulders. Scarred knuckles told stories of shattered jaws and walls alike. The tattoos that snake up his arms and across his face, ancient markings that ward away anyone foolish enough to cross him. Three prison stints. Fourteen confirmed hospitalizations of those who dared cross his path. And whispers… dark, unsettling rumors, of bodies that were never found.
But, cradled against his chest -those same hands that have crushed windpipes- holds his little girl, five years old with eyes just like his. She clutches her plastic watering can painted with daisies, her other hand firmly gripping Sukuna’s shirt like she’s taming a beast.
"Down Papa! My flowers are thirsty!!" she demands, completely unfazed by her father whose mere presence makes grown men piss themselves…
"Tch. Such a brat, just like your mother." Sukuna growls, the same tone that makes other parents clutch their kids a little tighter when he walks by, but the girl laughs and squeals with delight as he swings her around and sets her down.
The other parents keep their distance, their fear of Sukuna quite palpable, fueled by the whispers that cling to his name like a curse. But they watch- oh how they watch. Their eyes following him, as if expecting him to do something to prove the rumors true. Sukuna notices, a cruel smile splitting his face, revealing teeth, "What're you looking at?" he snarls at a gawking teenager, who stumbles backward in terror.
Their fear amuses him, but their opinions? Worthless.
He doesn’t care what they think, doesn’t care what they say.
He isn’t here for them anyway. He’s here for one reason, to make sure no one’s foolish enough to lay a hand on his little girl. If anyone dares, if anyone is stupid enough to try, they’ll see it firsthand. They’ll realize the stories don’t even scratch the surface. He’ll show them exactly why they should fear him- why calling him a monster is an insult to what he truly is.
"Papa! Look!" his little girl holds up a tiny daisy, "This one's for you! It's a gift, from me to you." She smiles at him, her eyes sparkling and full of love, as if he doesn’t scare the shit out of everyone else.
His face, usually frozen in a permanent scowl, softens imperceptibly, "Put it back in the ground, kid. Flowers need to grow..."
"Nooo," she pouts, "Mama gave me more seeds to plant and this one told me it wants to be with you!" She reaches up, impossibly small hand extended.
"Stubborn little-," he mutters as he crouches down, allowing her to tuck the flower behind his ear.
"See, now you're pretty just like the garden and mama!" She beams at him, her arms spread wide in a dramatic gesture of pride.
For a split second his eyes widen, surprised at the words coming out of her mouth. Pretty? Him? "I'm not pretty…" he growls, but doesn't remove the flower.
"You are to me," she says softly before wrapping her little arms around his neck, squeezing him tight and kissing him on his tatted cheek, "I love you, Papa."
Sukuna feels his heart skip a beat, then two, his throat tightening as the words leave his little brats lips. He can't bring himself to say it back- not here… He can't form the words he desperately wants to say…
Instead, his rough hands wrap around her, one hand on the back of her head, the other pressing her into his shoulder, "Yeah yeah…" His grip is gentle, almost tentative, like she might disappear if he squeezes too hard, "Me too…"
He feels her lips curl into a smile against him, and it's the only answer he needs. She understands, just like you do, the way he shows his love instead of saying it.
"C'mon," he ruffles her hair, "your mother will have my ass if I don't get us home." He takes her hand, fingers engulfing hers.
"Don't worry, Papa, the flowers will protect us!!"
As they walk home, her tiny hand disappearing in his massive one, Sukuna still wears the bloom behind his ear. A passing man stares a bit too long for Sukuna’s liking and receives a glare promising slow, creative violence if he doesn't look away immediately.
But his daughter just swings their joined hands, chattering about which seeds she'll plant next, completely unafraid of the monster whose reputation makes hardened criminals wake in cold sweats.
She is his one weakness, though he'd gut anyone who suggested it.
And he is her guardian- her hero, and she reminds him daily.
The fearsome Sukuna, brought to his knees by a little girl who talks to flowers.

Bakugou Katsuki is completely wrapped around his girlfriend’s finger.
Sure, he tries to act all cool and indifferent in front of his friends, pulling off that tough, angry, and mean guy routine. But deep down, this man would melt in a second for his girlfriend. He’d fall to his knees just to see her smile.
Today, Bakugou Katsuki is out with his friend Kirishima, shopping for Kirishima’s girlfriend’s birthday party. Why did Katsuki agree to come? Because you were away traveling, and he was utterly bored and lonely without you by his side.
"Hey, have we met before?"
The question didn’t even register in his mind. In fact, Katsuki didn’t hear it at all. His mind assumed the question was meant for someone else nearby. He was genuinely surprised when, out of nowhere, a woman stepped in front of him with a soft, shy smile.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to say hi while I had the chance."
Katsuki quickly looked to the side, hoping to spot his friend, but to his dismay, he realized he was completely alone in this awkward moment.
"Uh, right," he muttered, cringing inwardly. What the hell? Why am I even talking to her right now?
The woman giggled, her fingers reaching out to place a hand on his chest while she leaned in a little too close, invading his personal space.
Instinctively, Katsuki stepped back, his heart immediately sinking. Oh hell nah.
"Okay, back up." He shot her a sharp glance and turned to walk away. But just as he did, he heard a voice from behind him.
"Oh, come on. She ain’t that pretty for you to turn me, this, down, is she?"
“She is that pretty, you—” Katsuki grumbled under his breath, shaking his head. He didn’t dare say it out loud—after all, his mom could be lurking nearby—but he couldn’t help but mutter the insult as he walked away, his heart set on getting back to the one person who mattered.
Three days later, you returned home. The second Katsuki saw you walking toward him at the airport, his whole demeanor softened. The tightness in his shoulders melted away, and a smile so wide spread across his face that it made his heart flutter. Without a second thought, he opened his arms wide, waiting for you to run into them.
"Hi, mama," he whispered, his voice thick with longing.
You rushed into his arms, your legs wrapping around his waist, your arms clinging to his shoulders as if you never wanted to let go. You giggled when you felt Katsuki bury his face in your neck, his warm breath sending shivers down your spine.
"You okay, Kats?" You pulled back slightly to look at his face, your heart fluttering at the lovesick gaze in his eyes. He nodded silently, his usual grumpy nature nowhere to be found. Instead, he gently lowered you back to the ground, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, as if to reassure you that everything was right with the world again.
Kirishima stood a few feet away, laughing quietly at the sight of his best friend. The contrast between the Katsuki who’d been grumpy and distant while you were gone and the Katsuki who now held you in his arms—radiating nothing but joy—was impossible to miss. He smiled softly, realizing that there was no one else who could make Katsuki shine like that.
Everyone knew that Bakugou Katsuki was absolutely smitten—utterly, hopelessly in love with you.

"in every dimension, Mark Grayson falls for you, but not this one."

Shit, you think. Between all the blood and smoke, you weren't sure if colors could be vibrant anymore. No matter how many people you got to safety or buildings you stopped from falling, there was always more.
More screams, more buildings falling, more dead bodies, more chaos.
"You know, all this blood and fire makes you look so much more pretty," a voice teases. You turn, and for a split second, relief floods you before it quickly replaces itself with apprehension. Mark floats there, but he's different; he's not Mark. His hair is parted into a mohawk, and there's something else. This Mark's eyes are rabid, obsessed, and watching you like you're some type of prize.
You try not to show your apprehension, but it's hard when Mark looks at you like that—like the way he looks at Eve. "Confused, huh?" Mark teases, and he softly lands on the ground, only a couple of feet away from you. "From what I've heard, you and I aren't together in this universe. Lameass me is with Eve. So stupid," Mark says, rolling his eyes at the end. "Can't be too surprised though! This world's me is so lame and weak."
Mark goes on and on about how your world's Mark is a sniveling, weak piece of shit, but you stopped listening. You and Mark are together in a different world.
A gust of wind makes you whip around as another Mark appears before you. But like the one with a mohawk, this one isn't your world's Mark. His suit is different, a mesh of white and gray, and no mask to be found. But like the other Mark, he's staring at you like that.
"Ugh! Couldn't give us a moment alone, could you, asshole!" Mohawk Mark complains, his eyebrows furrowed, and lips pulled into a sneer. The other Mark, the one in white and gray, doesn't acknowledge the complaints and insults thrown his way. Instead, his eyes lock onto yours, and you freeze up as he steps closer to you.
"You don't look any different," is all he says before his fingers hover over your cheek. It's wrong, it's so wrong, the way your heart beats a little faster, how your cheeks flush, and how desperately you want to lean into his warmth. Mark, this Mark in front of you, has killed countless people and caused so much damage that the aftercount might be in the hundreds of thousands.
You don't get a second to react before there's another gust of wind, and yet another Mark stands there. His suit colors are now yellow and black instead of black and dark blue. His yellow cape flows behind him, and a twisted grin pulls at his face.
"y/nnnnnn," Mark calls for you, and you hate how it sounds so right, so good. Mohawk Mark and the one right next to you turn to the other one, and a split silence passes before you're dragged up into the air.
Instinctively, you push away before arms are holding yours behind your back. "Let go!" you yell, your arms straining against Mark's.
"No wayyyy, babe," the Mark with a yellow cape says, coming closer to you, his fingers twirling a curl of your hair.
"Can we just get this over with?" Mohawk Mark says, and your heart drops to your stomach as fast as it's beating.
"We're not going to hurt you," the Mark holding you says, his voice deep and his hold tightening.
"Could have fooled me," you finally say, and the two Marks in front of you laugh. The one twirling your hair stops before squishing your cheeks together and laughing again as you struggle to pull your face out of his hold.
"Still a little firecracker like I remember," he says, and you freeze. Were you with this Mark in his universe as well? And the one behind? Was the universe so cruel that you and Mark were together in every other universe except this one? The one where you chickened out of telling you how you felt, and now he was with Eve.
"Don't worry, pretty. This world's Mark is stupid enough to not make you his, but we aren't."

The Things You Say

navigation , dc navigation
Summary: Jason yearning for a nerdy girl who constantly talks about her new books or new science inventions, he doesn't understand shit and they have to look stuff up constantly trying to keep up with her
requests are open
dividers by @cafekitsune

Jason knew pain. He knew the taste of blood and the sound of a heart flatlining. He knew what it was like to dig his way out of a grave with his bare hands, lungs full of dirt and rage. He knew war. Loss. Fire.
But none of that prepared him for the experience of falling for someone like you.
He also knew two things for certain:
One: he was not, and never would be, a science guy.
Two: he was completely, helplessly in love with the weird girl who never stopped talking about subatomic particles like they were fairy tales.
He met her in a bookstore, because of course he did. Gotham’s oldest secondhand shop, tucked between a closed-down deli and a tattoo parlor. She was in the nonfiction aisle, holding a hardcover titled Quantum Entanglement and the Fabric of the Cosmos, murmuring to herself while frowning at the margins.
Jason should’ve walked away. Should’ve grabbed his Hemingway and gone.
But instead he found himself saying, “Is that English?”
She looked up.
Big glasses. Hair half-up, half-falling. A tiny scowl, like he’d just insulted her childhood dog. “It’s physics.”
He blinked. “I gathered. Still looks like math’s evil cousin.”
That got a laugh. Or something like it. A half-smile, crooked and unsure, like she didn’t laugh often and wasn’t sure she should now.
Jason tilted his head. “You work with this stuff?”
“I study it.” She pushed the book against her chest. “I’m trying to understand quantum coherence in biological systems. Mostly theoretical. I bore people.”
“I don’t mind theory,” Jason said, which was a lie, but a nice one.
She stared at him for a long second. “You’re trying to flirt with me.”
“Yeah,” he admitted. “How am I doing?”
“Terribly.”
He grinned. “You want coffee?”
She hesitated.
“Not a date,” he added quickly. “Just... if you want someone to listen while you explain quantum thingies.”
“Quantum thingies,” she repeated. “Tempting.”
It was supposed to be one coffee. It turned into four. Then dinner. Then late-night texts, where she sent him screenshots of new studies and he replied with bad memes and pictures of books she’d made him read.
Jason wasn’t used to this—whatever this was. There was no game here. No dramatics. Just this girl with a constellation of freckles and a mouth that moved too fast when she got excited.
She’d sit cross-legged on his couch, hair up, socks mismatched, spouting things like:
“Did you know cephalopods can edit their own RNA in real time?”
Jason, who was halfway through re-reading The Count of Monte Cristo, would look up and go, “Cepha-what?”
“Octopus brains. They’re insane.”
He had a notes app. No joke. It read:
Quarks (ask which one is the cute one)
Octopus RNA = science magic
Don’t say atoms are tiny planets—she hates that
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to understand. He did. Desperately. Because her eyes lit up like stars when she talked, and Jason wanted to know what it was like to hold a universe like that in his head.
Because you talked about neutrinos over coffee. Neutrinos. Subatomic particles. And you said it with a smile like it was common small talk, like most people spent Sunday mornings curled up reading quantum mechanics papers instead of the funnies.
Jason pretended to get it. He even nodded sagely.
He did not get it.
"They're fascinating," you said once, feet tucked under you on his old beat-up couch, eyes lit like they held galaxies. "Like these ghosts of matter. They pass through everything, almost impossible to catch. It's like trying to bottle a secret."
"Uh-huh," Jason said, staring at your lips. Not because he was being disrespectful. But because they moved when you talked, and sometimes he understood those more than your words.
He googled them later. Spent two hours falling down a scientific rabbit hole so steep he got a headache, just so he could maybe ask the right question next time. So he could deserve to be in the same room as your mind.
You never made him feel stupid.
You never made him feel like he had to prove himself. But Jason was built of sharp edges and pride. He came from alleys, from blood-streaked streets and textbooks that were ten years too late. You were made of stardust and curiosity, of words that leapt like fire from your tongue.
He wanted to meet you there.
So he read. And re-read. Fell asleep listening to science podcasts he barely understood. Texted Tim questions like, “What the hell is a muon?” and got responses like, “Why are you asking me this at 2AM?”
You were working on something new. Something about microfluidics, which sounded made-up but wasn't. Your whiteboard was filled with squiggles and Greek letters, and Jason stood behind you one afternoon just... watching.
"You know," he said finally, leaning a shoulder against your wall, "I'm starting to think you might be the smart one in this relationship."
You turned, brow quirked. "Only just starting?"
Jason laughed. It cracked something open in him. "You know what I mean."
"I do," you said, crossing to him. You had ink on your fingers. Pen behind your ear. Your shirt was inside out. Jason thought you were the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. "But I'm not in love with me. You are."
He blinked.
You kissed his cheek, then went back to your board, humming. As if you hadn't just sent his soul straight out of his body.
Jason spent that night learning about laminar flow.
Sometimes, you talked so fast you forgot to breathe. You’d get this wild look in your eyes, like the whole universe was cracking open and only you could see it.
Jason lived for that look.
You told him about CRISPR once, gesturing wildly with a fork in a shitty diner, eggs going cold.
"It’s gene editing," you said. "Like molecular scissors! You can cut DNA—literally edit life. Isn’t that insane?"
Jason chewed his toast. Nodded. Took a mental note to google "molecular scissors" the second you hit the bathroom.
He didn’t get it. Not really.
But he loved how your face lit up. Like discovering was your religion and you were halfway to ascension.
He wanted to believe in something like that.
The problem, of course, was that he kept falling harder.
It hit him slow at first—like rain soaking into the collar of your coat. He’d look up in the middle of a lecture she didn’t know she was giving and realize he hadn’t heard a word.
Because she was smiling. Because she was alive in that moment in a way that made the world blur.
And then one night it hit him all at once.
They were on his fire escape, watching the sky turn blue-black over Gotham. She had her legs pulled up to her chest, hoodie sleeves covering her hands, talking about something called CRISPR and how gene editing could eventually reverse certain degenerative conditions.
Jason lit a cigarette. Didn’t smoke it. Just let it sit in his hand.
“You ever wonder,” he said, “how you ended up where you are?”
She blinked. “All the time.”
“I used to think I was supposed to be something. Like... some big cosmic screw-up happened and I got turned into this.” He gestured vaguely. “A walking wreckage.”
“You’re not a wreck.”
Jason didn’t answer. Just watched her through the smoke.
“You read the books I send,” she whispered. “You ask questions. You try. That’s more than most.”
He looked away. “You make me want to try.”
She leaned into his shoulder, quiet.
That night he dreamed she was stardust and he was gravity. Always falling toward her.
Jason didn’t call it love. He didn’t know if he deserved to.
But he was the one who brought her soup when she got sick, even if he burned the rice.
He was the one who asked her to explain particle spin six times and still got it wrong.
He was the one who, during one of her meltdowns about failing a grant application, cupped her face and said, “You’re brilliant. If the world can’t see it, that’s not your fault.”
She cried into his shoulder for an hour.
One night, you fell asleep with your notes scattered across his bed. Jason gathered them carefully, reading snatches as he did.
"Theoretical modeling of fluid behavior in low-gravity environments..."
He smiled.
You’d joked once that you were building something for NASA. He wasn’t sure if you were actually joking.
He sat beside you, brushing hair from your forehead. You sighed in your sleep.
Jason Todd, child of Gotham's gutters, held your research like it was sacred.
He didn’t understand the math. But he understood what it meant to love something so fiercely you stayed up nights chasing it.
He understood what it meant to chase you.
It wasn’t easy.
You didn’t always get his silences. His scars. The way he sometimes drifted mid-conversation, haunted by a past he couldn’t shut up.
But you waited.
You asked.
You never made him feel like a puzzle to be solved. Just a story worth reading slowly.
One day he caught you reading War and Peace. Not for class. Not for work. Just... because.
"You know that’s, like, a thousand pages, right?"
"Only 1,225," you replied without looking up. "You should try it."
Jason chuckled. "You trying to turn me into a nerd, sweetheart?"
You looked at him then, all sharp eyes and soft affection. "You already are. You just don’t know it yet."
When you said "I love you," it was after explaining something about black holes.
Jason had no idea how you got from "gravitational collapse" to "I love you," but he wasn’t complaining.
He’d spent so long being angry. Being alone. Being something sharp and armored.
You cracked through it all with equations and post-it notes, with quiet mornings and whispered facts about tardigrades.
You made him laugh. Think. Google shit.
You made him feel.
He didn’t always understand what you said. He never fully grasped string theory.
But he learned her favorite coffee order, and the way she curled her toes when she was focused, and how to tell when her anxiety was starting to spiral.
He learned how to love her without needing to understand every atom.
Because she made him feel like maybe, just maybe, he wasn’t a cosmic mistake after all.
He was just a man. With a girl. And a heart that beat a little faster every time she said, “Hey Jay, guess what I learned today?”
And that?
That he understood perfectly.
And that was enough.

I know that every batfam member would be able to survive the five nights at Freddy's Pizzeria, but I like to imagine they all go about it in different ways:
Bruce: figures out that there are souls haunting the animatronics and starts internally debating the ethics of (adopting) rehabilitating haunted and homicidal animatronics, on the basis that the souls are still children. Survives the five nights and plays by the rules, although his power level remains suspiciously high at the end of each night.
Dick: would have an absolutely joyful time spending five nights inside that cursed building as an adrenaline junkie. He's also weirdly gifted at excelling in obscure jobs such as a nightguard fighting for his life.
Jason: the second one of them moves, the building is going up in flames.
Tim: figures out how to jam the doors shut without them draining his power and uses that to his advantage to get work done, since he's already awake and doing nothing of importance.
Damian: convinces himself to guard by the rules without trying to sabotage the equipment and succeeds. Whenever an animatronic pops up at one of the windows, he starts insulting them. He also makes sure to insult them whenever he's done with his shift to assert dominance. Additionally, he nicknamed each of them after his brothers since they remind him of his everyday nuisances.
Barbara: being oracle has prepared her for this moment — quite literally child's play for her, so she multitasks between babysitting vigilantes and homicidal furry ghouls. (aren't they the same thing atp?)
Cass: she would manage to predict their movements and slip away to jumpscare them instead, running away before they manage to do any damage. Why stay inside the office when you can hassle the animatronics to hide in the office from you?
Steph: adrenaline junkie pt.2, although she would treat it like a 'let's play' and video call either Tim or Cass to share the experience with them — all they hear is her screaming, cursing and then laughing when they pop up.
Duke: unironically would also be hunting the animatronics from the shadows. He does it on the first night and they decide not to annoy him again for the rest of the week.
Edit: this is unironically being written by me, in the form of Nightwing becoming a night guard. will update with the link to the fic once i am done.

TERRITORY, MARKED II
Pairing: Damian Wayne x Reader ft. Dick Grayson

divider by: @cafekitsune & @thecutestgrotto word count: 2.1k synopsis: Damian makes an unexpected friend at the dog park—but when his older brother tags along one day and takes a little too much interest, Damian decides one thing for certain: this was not supposed to be a shared friendship. a/n: I decided to combine it with another request I received to make this the part 2 y’all have been asking for 🩵
Damian knew something was off.
It started with the glances. The subtle shifts in conversation whenever he approached. The way you and Grayson—Dick—would exchange these brief looks, like you were sharing some silent joke he wasn’t invited to.
It was insulting. No—infuriating.
This was supposed to be his friendship. His space. His routine. You were his friend. Not Grayson’s.
At first, Damian tried to ignore it. Tried to convince himself he was overreacting. Maybe his brother was just being his usual obnoxious self. Maybe you were just… humouring him.
But the evidence was piling up too quickly for him to ignore.
Grayson was starting to show up at the dog park more often. Then you started asking if it was okay if he was invited along. And then came the final straw—one afternoon, just as Damian was about to leave, he doubled back to grab the water bottle he’d forgotten on the bench… only to see the two of you walking off together, laughing, neither of you having noticed him.
It was all suspicious. Highly suspicious.
And so, Damian did what any rational twelve-year-old assassin raised by the League of Shadows would do.
He launched an investigation.
“I need surveillance,” he said flatly, arms folded across his chest as he stood in front of the Batcomputer.
Jason looked up from where he was cleaning a pistol, one brow already arched in suspicion. “On who?”
“Grayson. And Y/N.”
Tim spun slightly in his chair, squinting. “Wait—Y/N? As in Dick’s dog park friend he never stops talking about?”
“She’s not his friend,” Damian snapped, voice sharp with offence. “She’s mine. And Grayson and her have started acting suspicious.”
Stephanie leaned around the monitor. “Aww, are you jealous?”
“I’m being cautious,” Damian corrected with a scowl. “There’s a difference. They’re hiding something. I need confirmation.”
Cass blinked slowly. Then nodded.
“Thank you,” Damian muttered, grateful someone understood the importance of betrayal.
Duke, who had been sitting quietly with a protein bar half-unwrapped, finally looked up. “Let me get this straight—you want us to help spy on Dick… because you think he’s stealing your friend?”
Damian’s eyes narrowed. “He is stealing her.”
“Okay.” Duke took a bite. “And this isn’t just you being twelve and melodramatic?”
Damian didn’t dignify that with a response. Instead, he turned back to the Bat computer and brought up a file he’d already prepped—complete with time stamps, satellite footage, and a grainy photo of you and Dick walking to your car. Side by side. Smiling.
“Evidence,” Damian said grimly, narrowing his eyes at the screen. “But I need more. This tells me nothing of what they’re trying to hide.”
The others exchanged a look—equal parts amused and knowing. It wasn’t hard to guess what was going on between you and Dick. Especially with how happy Dick seemed to be lately, Steph and Cass had even caught him humming on his way out the door the other day.
Jason chuckled under his breath, tossing his cleaning cloth aside. “Kid’s already built a case file,” he said, standing. “Might as well help him.”
Operation Find Out What Those Two Are Hiding was surprisingly successful.
Within forty-eight hours, Damian had assembled a full investigative task force. Tim handled the digital trail. With a few taps and zero guilt for the invasion of privacy, he pulled location pings, overlapping time stamps, and even access to security footage from the café down the street.
Stephanie, armed with glitter gel pens and far too much enthusiasm, took charge of the psychological profiling. “Body language doesn’t lie,” she said, flipping through candid snapshots she’d printed and annotated with notes like ‘eye contact: flirty’ and ‘distance: suspiciously close.’
Cass…no one knew what she was really doing all they knew was she was able to get the candids for Stephanie without being seen.
Duke volunteered to monitor Dick’s mood whenever he was at the manor, noting things like “that he was happier more than usual” or that “he smiled at his phone three times in a row.”
Jason, of course, took it too far. He attempted a staged “coincidental run-in” at the dog park—sunglasses, hoodie, and a golden retriever he borrowed from a neighbour. It was a solid plan in theory… until Dick recognized him instantly.
That failed mission had one upside: it’s how you met Jason. Who you learned wasn’t named Todd, like Damian kept calling him—at least his first name wasn’t. While he learned you were a pretty cool chick and that he absolutely loved your dog.
And Damian—naturally—had taken to shadowing the two of you himself. He followed from rooftops, behind trees, under benches. He was determined to catch you both in the act—to find out what exactly you two were hiding from him and that if you lied and that Dick was truly your favourite.
And then, finally, it happened.
On Friday afternoon. You and Dick stood near your car just outside the park, laughing about something he said. You reached up, probably to fix his collar, still laughing under your breath when Dick leaned down and kissed you.
Damian burst out of the bushes so fast the squirrels scattered.
“AHA!”
You jumped, half-screaming. Dick whipped around, startled. “Damian?!”
“I knew it!” Damian shouted, pointing at you both like he was delivering a verdict in a courtroom. “You two betrayed me!”
“Dami—” Dick started, hands raised in surrender.
“No!” Damian growled. “You were supposed to be my friend! He already has everyone else! He has Alfred, he has Father, he even stole Titus!”
Titus, who had come to the park alongside your husky and Haley, stood dutifully nearby. At the accusation, he gave a quiet chuff, more confused than guilty.
Dick opened his mouth, possibly to argue that he had not, in fact, stolen the dog—but thought better of it. One look at Damian’s furious expression told him now was not the time for logic.
You blinked, torn between guilt and trying not to laugh. “Damian…”
“I don’t want to hear it,” he snapped, spinning on his heel. “Unbelievable. I trusted you.”
“Says the one spying on us,” Dick called after him.
“I regret nothing!”
You sighed, shooting Dick a look that landed somewhere between why are you both like this and I’ll handle it. He raised his hands in surrender, clearly trying not to smile, and stayed behind as you jogged after Damian.
“Hey—wait up!”
He didn’t slow down. Not at first. He stalked ahead, shoulders stiff, fists clenched, radiating righteous betrayal in every step.
“Damian,” you said more gently, catching up beside him. “Can you just—stop for a second?”
He did. But he didn’t look at you.
You stepped in front of him, blocking his path. “Look, I get why you’re mad. And I’m sorry you found out like that. But can I explain?”
His eyes narrowed, arms crossing tightly across his chest. “Go on, then.”
You took a breath. “We’ve been going out and we didn’t tell you because… we weren’t even sure where it was going. It’s still new. We didn’t want to make things weird if it didn’t work out.”
Damian said nothing, but the way his jaw clenched told you he was at least listening.
“I didn’t keep it from you to hurt you, Dami.” Your voice was soft, honest. “I didn’t stop being your friend. You’re still my favourite person to talk to at that park. That hasn’t changed.” You smiled a little, tilting your head to meet his wary gaze. “It never will.”
Damian glanced up at you, uncertainty flickering behind narrowed eyes—but the tension still clung to his small frame like armour not yet set aside.
“And now that you know Dick and I are… seeing each other,” you continued carefully, watching his expression, “that just means we get to hang out more. I promise—no more secrets. No weirdness. I’ll even bring my dog around to play with yours outside the park. And I’ll make sure Dick doesn’t always tag along, so you and I can still have our talks. Just the two of us.”
Damian stared at you for a long moment. His scowl didn’t vanish entirely—but it wavered. Just slightly. The hard lines of suspicion around his mouth eased, and that sharp, ever-scrutinizing glare lost some of its bite and he stopped looking like he was preparing to exile you.
“You’re not just saying that to get me to stop being mad?” he asked, eyes narrowing—not with anger this time, but with cautious hope.
“I am saying it to get you to stop being mad,” you admitted, lips curving. “But I also mean it.”
A huff escaped him—equal parts reluctant and resigned.
“…Fine,” he muttered, arms folding. “But I’m still watching you both.”
“I wouldn’t expect anything less.”
He looked at you then, fully, with narrowed eyes and a serious edge to his voice. “If he hurts you, I’ll replace all the sugar in his apartment with salt.”
You grinned. “That’s fair.”
And just like that, he turned and marched back toward the bench, shoulders squared, chin lifted, every step radiating the proud dignity of a boy on a mission.
You followed behind him, a quiet smile tugging at your lips.
Dick raised his brows as the two of you returned. “We good?”
Damian didn’t answer. He just sat down on the bench with all the grace of someone doing you a favour.
“If you hurt her,” he said flatly, eyeing Dick without blinking, “I will make you regret it.” Dick opened his mouth, but Damian steamrolled ahead. “We’re watching a movie at the manor tomorrow. You’re both coming. And I pick.”
You bit back a giggle as Dick shot you a helpless look. You just nodded, already amused.
Dick shrugged in surrender. “Fine. But if you pick Kill Bill again, I’m leaving.”
Before Damian could respond, five voices shouted in unison. “Can we join?!”
You and Dick jumped as bodies popped out from behind trees, the vending machine, a parked car—Tim, Steph, Cass, Duke, Jason and even Bab’s all coming to gather around you all.
Dick groaned and nearly facepalmed. “Were all of you idiots spying on my date?!”
You covered your mouth to muffle your giggles, eyes crinkling as you looked down at Damian beside you. His arms were crossed, face as impassive as ever—but there was the faintest hint of smug satisfaction in his expression as Dick launched into a full blown scolding.
“Welcome to the family,” he said dryly.

how f1 drivers react
to your ex texting you out of nowhere
drivers mentioned: MV33, LN4, OP81, AA23, CS55, CL16, LH44, GR63

max verstappen
It's an awkward thing to bring up, but you didnt want to hide it. Eventually, you try to casually mention it while Max is making and he just… stops moving.
“What do you mean, he texted you? Why?”
He places the knife down and turns slowly to face you. He doesn’t overreact, but he does ask to see the message... and rereads it probably too many times. He's dead silent as his eyes scan the few words over and over, jaw clenched and eyesbrows furrowed.
“He knows you’re with me, right?”
And you assure him that he does. You're instragram is overrun with Max content and photos of you two together. I would be impossible to miss. Your relationship was anything but a secret.
"Fucking loser," he mutters to himself, voice filled with an almost cartoonish frusteration that makes you laugh lightly. The sound of it makes him crack the tiniest smile.
He doesn’t question you. Doesn’t blame. Doesn't ask why he isn't already blocked. He just hates that your ex would try to get in your head again.
“Want me to block him for you?” You agree. Max does it without a second thought.
He’s extra affectionate after: hand on your thigh, quiet forehead kisses. But it's not out of insecurity, its just to remind you he won't let anyone come into your life to hurt you again.
“He had his chance. He doesn’t get to come back into your life after what he did.”
lando norris
He sees your phone light up and casually leans down to read out the name to you, assuming its one of your friends or family checking in. All colour leaves his face when he realises why he recognises the name.
“Wait. Is that who I think it is??”
Suprised by his text youself, you tell him he's right. Immediate chaotic disbelief fills him, he can't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.
“Man really thinks he can slide back in after I showed up? Delusional. Completely delusional!”
He's mostly joking, but at least 25% serious, when he offers to message you ex himself. Even suggests sending back a selfie of you in his hoodie just to drive the point home that your his now.
“Should I post a photo of us kissing? No? Okay. But like… I could. For fun.”
His arms curl around you from behind and his head comes to rest on your shoulder, whispering soft things in your ear to make you laugh and forget all about the text.
“He’s not worth the time, babe.”
oscar piastri
You mention it offhandedly while cuddling up on the couch, sit-com reruns playing quietly i nthe background, and Oscar just blinks.
“He texted you?”
He's quietly offended. More on your behalf than anything. He knows what this guy was like and he hates knowing that he's trying to be in your life again.
Doesn’t say much, instead he just holds you a little closer, a little tighter. He helps you delete or block, if you want to. But he doesn't push. It's 100% your decision. He doesn't feel threatened by this guy, just frustrated by his existence.
“You don’t owe him anything. Not even a reply. You know that.”
But it's impossble to miss how he becomes subtly more clingy for the rest of the day.
It's his way of marking territory without letting any jealous words slip out: holding your hand more often, brushing your hair back, soft kisses to you neck while you speak in hushed tones. More couch cuddles and a movie marathon are a requirement that night.
He's not jealous. Just protective.
“If he texts again, let me know. I’ll handle it.”
carlos sainz
You tell Carlos immedietly. The thought of keeping it a secret doesn't even cross your mind.
“He what?”
He leans back on the couch, crosses his arms, and raises one eyebrow like your ex just insulted his mother, his hair and his driving all at once.
“After all this time? What does he want, cariño?”
Doesn’t yell. Doesn’t joke. Just gets that dangerously calm tone. He's mature about it all but there is a distinct edge to his voice.
“No more replies. He had his chance. He doesn’t get to know you anymore.”
Kisses the inside of your wrist as he whipsers to you, holding you close.
“You don’t need to look back when I’m right here.”
You block him, Carlos doesn't have to even ask.
alex albon
He tries to play it cool when you mention it, its still early morning and he's wiping sleep dust from his eye as he speaks.
“Oh? That’s… random.”
He smiles, but it doesn’t quite reach his eyes. He tries to make a statement of 'not caring' and maturity by not asking to see the text. But later, once all the humour of the day has worn off, he sheepishly asks to see.
“Just making sure he doesn’t think he's got another chance with my girl. I wanna know what he thinks is so important to say that he had to text you.”
While his eyes scan the screen, he softly reminds you that you don't owe him anything. Not a reply, not a conversation. Nothing.
Gives you a hug from behind while you delete the message (more for his peace of mind than your own).
While he feels slightly bad for his jealously, he trusts you enough to laugh about it later on. He brings you snacks and cuddles to shift the mood, the safest boy to be loved by.
charles leclerc
When you show him the message, flipping the phone around for him to see while sat across from him at the breakfast table, and Charles’s smile disappears instantly.
“No. No, no, no.”
Suddenly he's up, pacing. Annoyed, but because he’s mad for you.
“If you don’t want to answer, you shouldn’t. He doesn’t deserve a response,” he says confiendly, like a knight trying to defend your honor.
He stops suddenly in his tracks, wide eyes, and looks over at you.
"I mean, you don't want to respond... right? Ma chérie?" A hint of fear colours his words as his eyes search yours for answers.
Once you reassure him that you have no feelings for you ex, and definitiely do not want to be hearing from him, you block his number together.
Charles visibly relaxs once you do.
"He is stupid, non? It took him so long to realise what he lost. It is too late for him now. I have you all to myself." The kiss that comes next is just as sweet as his words.
lewis hamilton
You tell him while you’re out for a walk. He doesn't stop, no, but he... definitely slows. Like his mind is trying to catch up with your words.
“He reached out?”
Voice is low, calm. He's mature about it, even if the thought makes him uncomfortable. He makes sure you know this is about how you feel, not how he feels.
Listens carefully. Lets you speak.
“You okay?” he asks first. “I know he wasn't great to you. Do you want me to handle it?”
You know he won’t act unless you ask him to... but if you do... your ex will never try that again. It's a delisciosuly good thought, but you tell him you can handle it.
"Ok," he smiles and takes your hand, kissing the back of it as he picks up the pace again, "I trust you."
Later that night, he's holding you against his chest in bed, and you catch him looking at you like you hung the moon.
“He’s trying to come back because he knows what he lost. But I’m never letting go of what I found.”
george russell
“He did what?” The words come out sharper than he intends, you're sure of it. And while the anger isn't aimed at you, for a moment it feels like it is.
“Sorry. I just… he shouldn’t be contacting you. That’s so out of line.”
His expression quickly softens when he sees your face. “Hey. No, I’m not upset with you, love. Just at the situation. At him.”
He just stands beside you as you decide what to do, he doesn’t push. Doesn't force. Just supports. His hand rubs comforting circles on your lower back as you talk it all out.
“You want me to help you block him? Or I can just sit here while you do it. Or we can just delete it. Balls in you court, love.”
When he's curled up with you later,it's all warmth and soft affection. Soft kisses to your cheeks and lips, brushing you hair softly behind your ear.
“He doesn’t deserve your energy, or your time. I’ll always protect that.”

the science of sleeping with your best friend

꩜ pairing: timeskip!kenma kozume x virgin!female reader
꩜ warnings: explicit content, language
꩜ word count: 4.3k
꩜ synopsis: you relationship with kenma has always been understated—quiet moments, mutual understanding, and an unspoken connection. but when you open up about your insecurities regarding intimacy, things take a turn. one kiss, a subtle shift in dynamics, and suddenly everything you once knew feels entirely different. caught in a whirlwind of desire and growing affection, you find yourself grappling with feelings that you've ignored for years. is it too late to turn back or is this the beginning of something far deeper?
You vividly remember the day you moved to Japan. You were eleven, your nervousness amplified by the way the airport had smelled—metallic, unfamiliar, cold. Your mother stayed back in your hometown with your younger brother, and you followed your father across the ocean for his new job… your new life. You told yourself it was an adventure, trembling in anticipation.
It wasn’t. Not at first.
Making friends when you didn’t speak the language fluently and stood out in every classroom turned out to be less like an odyssey and more of a series of long, silent lunch breaks. Teachers tried, some classmates smiled, but nothing stuck. Not until high school.
Transferring to Nekoma High at fifteen was your father’s idea. He’d said something about the school’s progressive curriculum and cultural diversity. You hadn’t hoped for much until, one week into classes, the principal cornered you near the shoe lockers and asked if you’d consider being the manager for the boys’ volleyball team.
“It’s part of a new initiative. We’re looking to build an inclusive sports environment,” he said. “And you have excellent organisational skills from your transcript.” You said yes, mostly out of curiosity. And maybe because it was the first time someone had sought you out, instead of the other way around.
The first practice was awkward, to put it lightly. A room full of sweaty teenage guys and sharp whistles. You stood off to the side, notebook in hand, questioning every life choice that led you there with a resigned sigh. Until Kuroo Tetsurō slung an arm around your shoulders and said, “Don’t worry, you’re one of us now. You’ll get used to these knuckleheads.”
The team protested. You laughed for the first time in weeks. That’s how it all began.
They took you under their wing like a little sister, especially Kuroo—he treated you with a big-brother protectiveness that made the transition less lonely. Lev would tell you outrageous lies just to see you smile. Yamamoto always tried too hard to impress you but meant well. Yaku taught you how to be blunt in Japanese without accidentally insulting someone’s grandmother.
But the one you inexplicably gravitated toward was Kenma.
You were the same age, and the same reserved type, at least at first glance. Though unlike him, you didn’t mind talking. People were drawn to you in a way that surprised you. So, Kenma didn’t intimidate you. If anything, you felt safe around him. He was calm, observant, and never asked for more than you were willing to give.
You’d sit beside him during breaks, leaning over his shoulder as he played on his handheld console.
“You’re always watching,” he’d say without looking up.
“I like watching,” you’d plainly reply.
And when he let you try it out yourself—tentatively handing over his console like it was something fragile—you knew you had earned his trust. You’d talk about things beyond video games. Books. Movies. Your homesickness. His dislike of crowds. The weird comfort of silence. He was the only one who didn’t flinch when you talked about the divorce or missing your mom and brother.
By the end of your second year, you were inseparable. Everyone saw it—hell, even Kuroo made a habit of teasing you about it.
“She’s the Kenma whisperer,” he’d joke. “He actually talks around her.”
You dismissed it. You told yourself it was just friendship, that the small twists in your stomach when his shoulder brushed yours were normal. That the deliberate and soft way he looked at you was just how he looked at everyone.
But somewhere near the end of school, when the weight of the future started crawling into every conversation, you realised you felt something more. And it scared the hell out of you. You didn’t say anything. How could you risk losing what you had when it had taken you so long to find it?
After graduation, the team drifted as people often do. University took everyone in different directions, but you all stayed in touch. Kuroo’s group chats were relentless and reunions became an annual thing, something precious to look forward to.
With Kenma, your bond never faded. If anything, it grew.
Even when you were in different cities, the two of you never changed—late night phone calls, half-asleep messages, and meeting up whenever you could. Both of you still talked like no time had passed. Still knew each other in that rare, bone-deep way. However, you dated around, courtesy of your college roommate urging you to move on and get laid. You had simply nodded, telling yourself the crush was a remnant of adolescence. It had to be. It wasn’t healthy to keep holding on.
Tragically, it never went anywhere with the people you went out with. No one matched the way Kenma understood you without trying. No one matched the genuinity and the slow-burn thrill.
And now, in your twenties, with a stable job and a quiet apartment, you were beginning to admit that maybe it had never been just a crush.
But if that was true… what in the world were you supposed to do about it?
Kenma’s penthouse was everything you’d expect: clean lines, muted colors, and minimalist furniture. Expensive in a subtle way.
He was already curled up on the low couch when you stepped in, barefoot and hoodie-clad, legs tucked under himself like a cat. “You’re late,” he murmured without looking up from his nintendo.
“You’re lucky I even showed up,” you replied, dropping your bag by the door.
“Oh?” His eyes flicked up momentarily, amused. “Is this you playing hard to get?”
You rolled your eyes and sank into the seat beside him, close enough for your knees to brush. “If I was playing hard to get, you wouldn’t stand a chance.”
That earned a low hum of laughter. “So self-assured.”
The night unfolded the way it generally did—casual banter, leftover takeout, and dumb inside jokes that had survived since Nekoma. You both sat there, bodies angled toward each other, the city lights painting the walls with a faint gold.
At one point, he turned off the TV, but neither of you moved. There was a falter. A lapse stretching between words. Then, after much thought, you said it.
“Can I ask you something kind of... weird?”
Kenma blinked. “Sure.”
You took a breath. “Do you ever think you’re, like, bad in bed?”
His eyebrows rose. That certainly wasn’t what he’d imagined the conversation would jump to. You winced at yourself. “Okay, wow, that sounded way more self-deprecating than I meant it to.”
“Little bit.”
“I’m serious,” you said, shifting to face him fully. “I’ve dated, right? But it never really went anywhere. And when it did get physical, it just… didn’t go that far.”
Kenma didn’t interrupt. Merely listened.
“I mean, I’ve done stuff,” you continue rambling, suddenly fascinated by the hem of your sleeve. “A little oral. Some handjobs. But, um, I’ve never… had sex.”
There it was. Out in the open. You’d lobbed the confession between you like a live grenade, waiting for it to detonate. Only that it didn’t. The lack of response wasn’t exactly suffocating, though it did make you scream a little on the inside.
Kenma’s voice was gentler than you expected when it came. “Why are you thinking about this now?”
His words made you hesitate. “Because I’m trying to see people again. But every time I get close to someone, I panic. I keep doubting myself—what if I’m not good at it? What if they expect me to know what I’m doing and I don’t?”
A beat.
“And it’s not about being ashamed,” you added quickly. “I just want to feel... in control. Comfortable.”
Kenma studied you. “You could just tell them.”
“I know. But I don’t want it to be a thing. Like, ‘oh no, she’s a virgin, handle her with care.’” You wrinkled your nose. “I don’t want pity sex. Or worse, performance sex.” You dared a peep at him. “Have you…?”
He tilted his head. “Had sex?”
Your ears burned, unsure of whether you wanted to hear the answer. “Yeah.”
Kenma leaned back against the couch, arms crossed. “I have.”
The words sat in the air like smoke. You ignored the tightening of your chest. “Was it good?” you asked. Perhaps, a little too quickly.
He gave you a look. “You really want to know?”
You stammered. “Yes. No. Kind of. For research purposes.”
He smirked. “Of course.”
“Shut up.”
He was quiet for a moment before replying, “Some of it was good. Depends on the person, I guess.”
You hummed, eyes on his collarbone. “Would you ever, uh, be willing to show someone the ropes?”
A pause. “What do you mean?”
You didn’t answer right away. The apartment felt charged, causing your fingers to twist in your lap. Without meeting his gaze, you exhaled shakily.
“I was just thinking… if I ever wanted to figure this out—hypothetically—you’re the only person I’d trust not to make it weird.”
Kenma stilled, lips parting. “Hypothetically?”
“Yeah.”
Another pause. A longer one. “You’re asking me to have sex with you.”
Your stomach flipped. “I didn’t say that.”
“But that’s what you meant.”
You groaned. “Forget it. This was dumb. I shouldn’t have—”
“I didn’t say no.” Kenma looked at you. Not joking, not teasing—just looking. That same sincere care you’d known for years, now sharpened with something else.
Something almost hungry.
“Do you want me to?” he asked, voice low. “Help you?”
Your heart thundered. “Well, I—Only if… you want to.”
He leaned forward. “I want to. Let’s start with a kiss.”
You froze, eyes widening at the abruptness of it all.
“Since, you know,” he added casually, “we’re doing research.” You laughed—nervous, breathy—and nodded. “Right. For the glory of science.”
He moved in leisurely, giving you every chance to pull back. You didn’t. His lips brushed yours once. Gentle and testing, your breath hitching at the sensation. You kissed him again. More assertive than previously. As a result, his hand found your cheek. The angle changed, the excitement deepened.
You realised begrudgingly that your idea had stopped being hypothetical real fast.
Kenma and you grew feverish, your actions slow, then speedy, like you couldn’t get enough. You gripped his hoodie in an act of desperation. His fingers trailed along your waist, reluctant yet calculating. You felt his touch at the hem of your t-shirt and gasped, pulling back.
“I—I need to stop,” you whispered.
Kenma, breathing heavily, nodded. “Okay.”
You sat there, chests heaving, foreheads nearly touching.
“That was…” you began.
“Mhm,” he said, voice hoarse. “It was.”
You didn’t sleep together that night. Be that as it may, something had undoubtedly shifted. Something you couldn’t take back. Neither of you were prepared for what that first sensuous encounter had unlocked.
After the kiss, everything was different. Not in a dramatic, movie-like way, mind you. There were no whispered confessions or next-day declarations. You didn’t even text about it. Not directly, though every message after did have a different weight to it.
gamer boi: you left your ring on the bathroom sink
You: OMGTHANKYOU i’ve been searching for it all day :(
gamer boi: how did you even forget it?? isn’t it your favourite????
You: it’s not my fault someone kept me distracted with his mouth 🙄
gamer boi: don’t act like you didn’t enjoy it
The next time you saw Kenma, you were wearing a sundress with zero intentions of escalating anything. Apparently, it didn’t matter.
You were barely inside before Kenma tugged you in by the wrist, your back hitting the front door with a loud thud. His mouth was on yours again, hands roaming like he’d been starved of touch. His fingers curled around your waist, dragging you flush against him. You let out an embarrassingly needy whimper, arms looped around his neck for balance.
It was supposed to be another kiss. Nothing too intense, nothing too fiery. But soon his tongue brushed against yours—mischievously coaxing. When his knee slid between your thighs, you knew that you were done for.
Your nails dug into his shoulders and he groaned into your mouth.
“Okay?” he checked in, lips grazing your jaw.
You nodded, breathless. “Yeah. Just—you… it’s all very new. ”
He paused. “Tell me if you want to stop.”
“I will.”
That night, you didn’t go all the way either.
But you let him touch you. Really touch you.
You ended up in his lap on the couch, your dress hiked up, his t-shirt discarded somewhere on the floor. His motions were maddeningly drawn out—smoothing over your thighs, teasing under your panties, fingers slicking gently over you until you were shaking. One thing you’d grown to learn thanks to these electrifying escapades was that Kenma neither rushed nor demanded.
Just observed.
He watched you unravel, watched you fall apart with nothing more than his hand between your legs and his mouth pressed to your throat.
You’d returned the favour a week later—kneeling between his knees in that same living room, palms steady even though your mind was a mess. He had gripped your hair, but not harshly—more like he didn’t know what else to hold onto.
And after, when you wiped your mouth and leaned your cheek against his thigh, both of you panting hard, he murmured, “You’re dangerous when you’re confident.”
You smiled. “Guess the research is working, huh?”
His only answer was a smirk.
Life, as it usually does, got in the way. You were swamped at work and Kenma had his own obligations. Days passed. Weeks, even. You didn’t meet up with him, but you felt him everywhere. In your skin. In your thoughts. In the aching, restless emptiness of your bed. And worse: you missed him. Not just the way he touched you—but the him of it. His deadpan humour. The way he’d pause in conversation like he was thinking four moves ahead. The attractive rasp of his voice. The way he drank you in.
You missed your friend. You craved your… something.
You didn’t know what you were to him anymore. In spite of that, you knew that you needed him.
Kuroo’s reunion couldn’t have come at a better—or worse—time.
You’d dressed without overthinking it. Okay, maybe a little overthinking. The black corset hugged your curves like sin. The skirt hit mid-thigh, leaving appropriately enough to the imagination. The oversized leather blazer added a touch of effortlessness you didn’t actually feel. And the platform boots? Tall enough to be seductive.
When you walked into the high-end restaurant, every eye turned. On the contrary, you only looked for one.
Kenma was at the bar, drink in hand, dressed in a black button-up with the sleeves rolled to his forearms. His hair was tousled, face unreadable. But when he saw you, he froze. Eyes trailing down greedily, taking his sweet time. He didn’t smile or wave.
Later, after hours of group toasts, dodging Kuroo’s banter, and pretending you didn’t itch with anticipation, Kenma found you on the rooftop balcony.
The city buzzed beneath.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” you said, not turning around.
He stepped closer, “You’ve been busy.”
“So have you.”
All you hear for a few seconds is the cacophony of traffic and pedestrians.
“You look good tonight.”
You swallowed, your feet carrying you to him. “Yeah?”
Kenma appeared to be just as tormented as you. “Too good.”
“That a problem?”
He didn’t bother with an answer. Reaching for you, he hastily tugged you close. His mouth slanted over yours, hot and aching, weeks (he’d argue, proclaiming ‘years’) of self-control slipping like sand through fingers.
You didn’t even remember getting into the cab.
The moment Kenma’s apartment door shut behind you, it was chaos.
Lips crashing. Hands fumbling. Breath caught between kisses that were all teeth and tongue, no space for thought. Kenma backed you against the wall while you yanked at the buttons of his shirt like you were unwinding every second you’d spent pretending this wasn’t what you wanted. He dragged your blazer off, then your corset. His hands slid up your thighs, underneath your skirt, finding nothing but heat and skin.
“You planned this?” he muttered, strained, against your neck.
“I thought about you,” you whispered honestly.
He cursed, kissing you deeper—ravenous, like the time apart had built a pressure in him he could no longer contain. Soon, you were in his bed. Limbs knotting, bare. His weight on top of you was crushing—so real with almost a decade’s worth of tension, of friendship, of everything unspoken.
His touch skimmed up your stomach, pausing at the curve of your breast.
“I need you,” he said, hoarsely. “Tell me I can have you. Please.”
“I’m yours,” you reassured—just a whisper, but your whole body yearned to meet his. “I want you so bad, Kenma.”
He reached down between your thighs, fingers running through the mess there, working you open. You moaned, legs falling wider to allow him to move inside you better. You were drowning in sensation. His teeth nipped at your chest, hips grinding just barely against yours, and yet—
You wanted this. God, you wanted him. But—
“Wait,” you muttered, voice thin and trembling.
Kenma froze immediately. His eyes locked on yours, reading your face with terrifying precision. “What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?”
“No,” you said quickly. “No, I—”
Your hand pressed lightly to his chest. “I can’t—I can’t do this like it’s solely physical. Not with you.”
The room shifted.
“I thought I could,” your voice was so low, one might believe you weren’t speaking at all. “I told myself this was just for fun. A learning thing. ‘Research.’ But I can’t pretend anymore.”
You looked up at him, shame creeping in. “If I sleep with you, I’ll fall completely. I already have. It won’t just be sex to me. I don’t think it ever was.” You gulped, words turning rawer. “And if that’s not what you want… then this was a mistake.”
Tranquility. Thick. Cracking at the seams.
You felt your panic rise. “Sorry. I know I fucked things up, god. I should leave—"
“Stop,” Kenma finally spoke. Your blathering halted.
His fingers trailed up your cheek. “You think I’d let you in like this—have you like this—if it was just physical to me?” You didn’t answer. Couldn’t, really.
“I’ve been in love with you since high school, you idiot,” he said, and your stomach dropped. “I just never thought you’d want me back.”
You blinked up at him, stunned.
“When we kissed that day,” he continued, reverent, “everything changed. I didn’t want to risk scaring you away, so I thought if I gave you what you needed… eventually you’d see it too.”
He kissed your forehead. “See that I’d burn down the world for you.”
You gazed up at him, shaking slightly. “You’re not serious.”
He kissed your cheek. Your temple. Your nose. “I’m dead serious.”
Emotion swelled in your heart, hand cupping the side of his face. “Kenma…”
He leaned into the touch. “Talk to me.”
“I used to wait for practice to end just to walk home with you. I used to sit in the stands and pretend I was watching the match, but I was only watching you.”
The corner of his lips twitched. His hands ran down your sides.
“I thought I was broken for never wanting anyone the way my friends did,” you whispered. “But then you showed me it wasn’t about anyone. It was about you. It was always you.”
The atmosphere in the room grew charged with something sacred.
“I love you,” you declared, like the words were stolen from your ribs. Like they were always there between the two of you, waiting for someone to speak them to life.
Kenma was silent for one moment—just one—before… “I love you too,” he kissed you like a man reborn. This time, there was no rush.
He moved over you like he was making a vow—hands smoothing over every curve of your body, lips mapping every inch of your skin, like he was trying to memorise the sound of your breath as it caught in your throat.
When he lined himself up and pushed inside, it was slow. Intimate. He didn’t look away once. You clung to him, gaping at the fullness, the sheer gravity of him inside you.
“Alright?” he murmured, brows furrowing in concern.
You nodded, breath shaky. “Better than alright.”
He kissed you again, explosively possessive. After what felt like ages, he moved.
Each thrust was deliberate and claiming. His hand tangled with yours above your head. His other gripped your hip, holding you steady as he rocked into you, building a rhythm that made your back arch.
“I’ve dreamed about this,” he murmured into your ear. “Dreamed about you under me, begging for more.”
You moaned, eyelashes fluttering. “You have me now.”
“Trust me, I’m never letting go.”
Your bodies danced in a symphony that blurred the line between pleasure and worship. You came first, legs trembling. He followed right after, whining your name against your lips, pulsing with everything he felt and couldn’t say fast enough.
While you both lay there—spent and dizzy—you clung to each other. Because you knew this wasn’t the end.
You woke up to sunlight. Golden, slithering between silk curtains and spilling across the sheets in hazy lines.
Next to you was Kenma, his arm draped over your waist. The slight scrunch of his forehead indicated he was still deep in thought even while asleep. The sheets were rumpled around your legs, your body still sticky with sweat and afterglow, and every inch of you ached deliciously.
Oh my god, you thought with a giddy smile.
Your phone buzzed on the nightstand. You reached out, careful not to disturb Kenma, and blinked at the screen.

loser: OH MY GOD DID YOU AND KENMA LEAVE TOGETHER???!!!
loser: TELL ME THIS ISN’T HOW I’M FINDING OUT
loser: ANSWER ME FUCKER
You choked on your laugh, snorting into your palm. Kenma stirred beside you, yawning.
“Mmm… what time is it?” he mumbled, exhaustion evident in his voice.
“Too early for our best friend to be having a meltdown,” you giggled.
Kenma cracked one eye open. “Kuroo?”
You held your phone up. “He’s in panic mode.”
Kenma blinked. Then closed his eyes again and guided you down into his chest. “Ignore him.”
You laughed, cuddling into his warmth. His hair was mussed, bleached strands falling into his eyes. His fingers rubbed lazy circles into your back, like he couldn’t stop touching you in his tired state either.
“I still can’t believe last night happened,” you remarked dreamily.
Kenma nuzzled your shoulder. “I can. I’ve imagined it a thousand times.”
You flushed. “Okay, damn.”
He smirked against your skin. “You think I didn’t spend high school losing my mind over you?”
You were about to answer when his hand slid lower. Then lower still.
“Kenma—”
He rolled on top of you before you could finish. You sucked in a breath as his mouth found yours—inviting at first, then insatiable. Your legs parted instinctively as he settled between them, hardening length grinding slowly into your wetness. His body was still warm from sleep, but his touch was awake. Very awake.
“You’re gonna start something you can’t finish,” you warned.
He kissed your jaw. “Wanna bet?”
You fisted his hair, pulling him back to meet your eyes. “We’re seriously doing this again? First thing in the morning?”
“You’re naked in my bed,” he deadpanned. “If anything, this is on you.”
You were mid-laugh, mid-moan, mid-thigh squeeze when…
“I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU—”
The bedroom door slammed open. You both stopped, unmoving.
Kenma’s mouth was on your neck. His hand was on your thigh. Your legs were definitely wrapped around his waist. Kuroo stood in the doorway like a horror movie freeze frame.
One hand still on the doorknob. Jaw hanging open. Eyebrow twitching.
You screeched and dove under the sheets like they could erase the last thirty seconds of reality. Kenma… just sighed. Still completely on top of you, showing no signs of clothing himself.
“Get out,” he said flatly.
Kuroo was pale. In a shocking display, he turned red. If possible, redder.
“I—WHAT—SHE’S NAKED—YOU’RE—WHAT—WHY—"
“By the way, I didn’t give you the code to my penthouse so you could come and go as you please,” Kenma muttered, frustrated.
“I thought you were dead!”
“Kuroo—” you poked your head out, expression absolutely boiling—“I’m begging you to forget this ever happened.”
“Oh no. This is burned into my soul. Wait till the group chat hears about this.”
Kenma finally stood up, arranging the blanket properly to cover you like a true gentleman. Instead of being embarrassed, he looked rather annoyed at being interrupted. Like this was your regular Saturday afternoon in the Kozume household.
Kuroo glanced between the two of you, hands on hips, processing.
Then he scoffed, “I watched you two lunatics dawdle around each other for YEARS. Years. You think I didn’t know?”
“Then, why are you surprised?” Kenma asked.
“Because I thought you’d tell me through a well-structured text, not with your fucking nipples out!”
You screamed in humiliation and retreated into the covers again.
Kenma shrugged. “We were busy.”
“Oh, no need to tell me.” Kuroo turned, still muttering to himself, “I'm gonna need bleach. For my eyes. For my brain. For my…”
The bedroom door slammed shut and it was peaceful for all of three seconds. At the same time, you and Kenma burst out laughing. He wrapped his arms around you, burying his face in your neck as you wheezed into the pillow, your body shaking.
“Never living that down,” you gasped.
“Worth it,” he whispered.
And then he kissed you again—slow and soft—like he had nowhere else to be.

"That's what you're going with?"
Nobara looks at Gojo skeptically, and her teacher blinks back at her, confused.
"...What?"
The brunette rolls her eyes, and motions in Gojo's general direction.
"Midnight Lotus, really?" she looks at him, disappointed. "It's clearly a Vanilla Cream day."
Sighing, she looks to Megumi for help. "It's like he wants to get divorced at this rate."
Satoru watches the interaction between the two, scandalized. He wants to what?!
"Now, now, Kugisaki, I'm offended you think so little of me! My wife loves me far too much to leave me over some cologne choice. Plus, Midnight Lotus smells awesome!"
Nobara looks at him scrutinizingly before lifting up her fingers to make two Ls as if to look at him through a frame.
"It's giving...paintbrush." She says, squinting disapprovingly, looking at Yuji for backup.
He nods sagely, replying with full seriousness. "He's low-key cooked if he thinks this is what's gonna seal the deal for him."
Satoru looks at them confused, already feeling old from his lack of understanding of their slang and yet he understood enough.
"Hey! You know she's my wife, right? The deal was sealed 7 years ago."
"I still question her judgement back then." Nobara mutters, eyeing her teacher's childish behavior. "But no matter! We're going out to buy you better stuff instead of the crap you wear."
Despite Satoru's protests, Nobara's dragging him out the classroom, leaving a oblivious Yuji to follow after them (he's just happy to be here) and a disgruntled and reluctant Megumi who trails behind the three (he is not happy to be here.)
Satoru does admit, his student's blatant insults towards his ability to be romantic does take a hit at his ego a bit, but he knows deep down he could get them to stop whenever he wants to (he doesn’t).
He can't help but feel his heart warm underneath all the complaints and groans, because he knows that they love him.
And they love you too.
Which is what Satoru tells himself while Nobara and Yuji drag him around the mall draining thousands of dollars from his wallet (it's okay, it's just pocket money).
He knows it'll be worth in it the end though, when he goes home to recount his day and hear that gorgeous laugh of yours.
God, he can't wait to have kids of your own some day

SUMMARY:
You have known Mingi since you both were fourteen. You’ve been by his side through thick and thin and you would do anything for him, really, considering he’s your other half. When he has an unfortunate bed experience and asks for your help and you say yes, he starts considering that, maybe, you’re just the best friend a guy like him can have.
PAIRING: best friend!mingi x afab reader.
GENRE: childhood best friends to ?
WORD COUNT: 8k.
WARNINGS: SMUT ☽ (MINORS DNI) attempt !!! at comedy, wooyoung being a little shit, hwa being the voice of reason, sex talk, pet names (love and also dude and bro but in a sweet way), mingi scaring the sense out of you, descriptions of female anatomy, kissing, dirty talk (sort of), teasing, a little bit of voyeurism, fingering, squirting, almost getting caught, unresolved feelings.
NOTES: had to do a lot of research for this one, so i figured nothing better to post as my first fic here! this is 100% self indulgent, as all fics should be, and i think i've re-read it so many times that if you find a typo or something that just doesn't make sense, you can blame it on english not being my first language i guess lmao. i hope you enjoy it and if you do feel free to send to my askbox/reblog/type in any feedback or thoughts! <3
POSTED: july 18th 2024.
masterlist. / part two.
“Delete her number right now!”
“She's such a bitch for saying that to you…”
“And over text too? Wow.”
“Yeah, no, I didn't like her from the start.”
Wooyoung’s living room comes to life once again that morning, voices echoing and insults flying out, all towards the girl Mingi’s seeing.
Was seeing. You're sure she's out of his usual rotation with the lovely shit show she just caused.
You stay silent, your eyes fixed on your best friend's expression, on his red cheeks and apologetic eyes because everyone told him that girl was bad news.
He should've listened to you when you told him you liked her friend better. She was a sweet girl, clearly had a thing for Mingi.
Unfortunately, Mingi has a type. And that type always ends up breaking his spirit one way or another.
But you stay silent, letting your friends have their little rants about how much of a bitch she is for hurting Mingi's ego like that, until he covers up his face with his hands and lets out a frustrated whine.
“That's enough, everyone. I think he got it.” You smile a little and everyone turns to you, Yunho’s chest heaving and everything but Seonghwa (who also kept his mouth shut all this time) interferes before anyone else has the chance to start again.
“You know you shouldn't feel ashamed for that, right?” he asks Mingi, who slowly lowers his hands to his lap and looks at you for a brief second. You nod, confirming what Hwa says “No one is born knowing everything and she shouldn't expect you to know how to make a girl squirt.”
“Jesus Christ,” Mingi whines again, closing his eyes “Don't say it like that.”
“How else should I say it?” Seonghwa is confused but he laughs a little bit and turns to you.
Being the only girl in the room, you think everyone it's expecting you to pick your friend up and join them in their insults but you can't (for Mingi’s sake). Instead, you let out a sigh “I mean, it's hard to even make it happen on your own without any help, Mingi. I don't know what the fuck she's on but…” shrugging, you extend your arm to pat him in the shoulder two times “Hwa’s right.”
“So you do know?”
“Woo—” Hongjoong reprimands right away and you turn to Wooyoung, confused.
“Huh?”
“You said that it's hard making it happen,” he explains, smiling because he just found a new target for the next few days “So you must know.”
Talking about sex with them was never difficult, it didn't make you uncomfortable whatsoever but you know what Woo is doing.
You look down at Mingi before answering though and his eyes are glued to the carpet, begging for the topic of his unfortunate encounter with that bitch to die on everyone's tongue.
So you take mercy on him.
“Oh. I mean… Yeah.” You shrug once again, leaning back against the cushions on the couch while Wooyoung claps like he just heard the most hilarious joke ever.
“You truly are amazing.”
Rolling your eyes, you get up from your comfy seat “Sure. But it took a lot of practice and the whole ordeal was frustrating for me, so, again, I don't know what the fuck she was on,” you say again, smiling down at Mingi before taking a few steps towards the door “It's noon already, by the way.”
“Shit.” Woo gets up quickly from his spot on the floor and everyone else follows suit.
“Alright, everyone out! We have a midterm to cheat on.” San calls out and everyone takes it as their sign to actually leave (not just hang around the apartment) and continue with their days.
This reunion was a little impromptu, just because Wooyoung texted everyone begging to come over and hang out with him and San before their online philosophy midterm.
“And by that he means that you need to stay,” Wooyoung hugs Seonghwa hard, almost begging him with his eyes “We didn't study… Don't look at me like that! Please?”
“I'm not doing your fucking midterm for you!”
You chuckle, leaning on the door and waiting for your ride home to get his shoes on. When you look down at him again, Mingi mouths a thank you and you blow him a kiss.
When you get downstairs, you swear you still hear Wooyoung begging his senior to take the test for him.
Everyone is quiet in the car. You can tell they're tired from exams and life in general, so you don't press them with questions and just let the music play in the background while you look out the passenger window and, eventually, at Mingi.
His grip on the steering wheel lets you know he's a little more affected than he let on back there. But, again, you say nothing.
You know better than to pressure him into telling you his feelings.
Mingi and you have been friends forever. He lived a few houses down from yours, becoming your first friend when you moved to the city. You both were fourteen when it happened, so you've known him long enough to know what happens when he gets his heart broken.
Not that Mingi loved that girl or anything, but he never really took embarrassment well. He didn't when the first girl he liked rejected him in front of the whole ninth grade class and he didn't when his pants ripped in the middle of the stage while performing a routine with his dance team on senior year.
You stood by his side every single time and every single time he waited to sit down and let everything out, collect his feelings and talk to you through his frustrations. You really loved that about him, because he never said anything he regretted just because he was upset at the moment.
Maybe that's why you two have been friends for so long. Opposites attract, or whatever your mother told you one time.
In reality, you think it's because you two complement each other well.
He knows when to speak his mind and you're kind of impulsive, heart on your sleeve and sharp tongue ready to defend your and your loved ones honor if needed.
That's why it takes a lot of strength for you to not pull up that girl's number from his phone and give her a piece of your mind.
One by one, you drop your friends off in different parts of the city and when it's time to go into your own house, you circle the car and Mingi rolls his window down.
He reads the look you give him a little too well, so he opens his mouth to stop you but you shake your head.
“Call me, come over or just let me know if you need anything,” you start before he says anything “If you need me to beat her up, I can do that too.”
He huffs out a laugh “You don't even know how to fight, love.”
You sigh at the nickname, he's been using it since the time you told him you had a crush on his friend, way back in highschool, and that you were positive you were going to get together and he would call you love because that's what good boyfriend's do.
Turns out, you weren't exactly his friend's type. Neither were the other girls in your school.
“I don't give a shit, I'll do it,” You two smile to each other fondly for a few seconds and then you tap the top of the car “Thanks for the ride, dude.”
“You’re welcome, bro.” He rolls his eyes, annoyed because he hates when you call him that, but waits for you to get inside either way.
And in the solitude of your room, you wait.
You distract yourself with papers that are due in a few days, you start studying for your finals even though they're months away and you even go downstairs to say goodbye to your parents when they leave for a fancy dinner with their colleagues before you hear your phone ring.
Mingi's FaceTime comes right on time, because you were getting really anxious from the radio silence on his end.
“I have a small query for you.” He puts on an accent that makes you grimace immediately and he laughs at you.
“Ew. Never do that ever again,” you beg, going back upstairs to your room “Go ahead.”
“How do you do it?”
“Excuse me?”
“How the fuck do you make yourself squirt, love?”
Oh.
Definitely not the conversation you were hoping to have with him.
It catches you off guard and you stammer your response “Um… You— I mean, it's not really a thing I can explain.”
“You have such a way with words, though.”
You stare at him through the screen, annoyed, and he just laughs again “Don't make me come over and beat you up.”
“Alright, alright,” his giggling dies out and you distract yourself from the heat you feel creeping over your cheeks while putting away your statistics prep for the quiz you have next week. There's a bit of silence and then you hear him sigh “I do really want to know, though.”
“If you're asking me this to then go over to her house and prove her wrong, I'm not telling you shit.”
“No! No, that's not it at all,” he defends himself quickly when you turn your head to the camera, scowl in your face “When she asked me to do it, I really did try to make her, you know…”
“You said squirt so freely a minute ago, Mingi,” you tease, smiling, but at his expression, you give in “What exactly did you do?”
“I tried to, you know, do it like they do it in the movies,” he demonstrates his point with his free hand, his middle and ring finger down on his sheets, pressing and moving side to side “And she was enjoying it and she came, but nothing really… came out.”
“Wow, first of all: you make her come and she has the nerve to give you shit over text? I hate her,” you shake your head, disappointment written all over your face “and second of all, that was a terrible mistake.”
“What? Going like this?” He does it again and you roll your eyes, laughing a second later.
“No, dude, trying to porno your way into making her squirt.”
“Oh.” His movements on the sheets slow down and you grimace again.
“Please stop doing that,” you beg and he snaps out of his thoughts to look at you through the screen. You take your phone and move to the bed, resting your head against the pillows with a huff.
You ponder for a moment. You're sure telling him what he wants to hear it's not really a threat to your friendship, but it's also something that's very personal and intimate. You can talk about sex with Mingi and the other guys, sure, what doesn't mean you tell them about your sex life.
Maybe that's why Wooyoung was so excited earlier today, because you spilled something that involves you directly and not something vague and general like you usually do.
“Would it give you peace of mind if I explained it to you?” You ask, your voice barely a whisper as you sit straight on the bed.
Your best friend takes what feels like a lifetime to respond and, when does, it's in a hushed tone as well “Please.”
You groan and you comply either way, trying to find the right words to even start “Okay, I'm going to be very technical about this.”
“I wouldn't expect anything else from you.”
His teasing tone makes you glare at him for a few seconds before dismissing it with a click of your tongue “The very first thing you need to make sure happens, is that you wash your hands—”
“Yes, Y/N, I'm not a virgin,” he huffs this time, annoyed “I know all of that, just skip to the part where I make her squirt.”
“Jesus, fine! I also want to clarify that this works on me and I'm not really sure if it'll work on anyone else, alright?” he nods and you look away from the screen because you're not sure how to look him in the eyes “The first thing that I do— The first thing that you need to do,” you correct yourself quickly “Is make sure she's comfortable. And I mean, the space. Towels, water bottles… She needs to hydrate a lot.”
“Hydrate… a… lot…” You turn your head to the screen and your jaw goes slack at what you see.
“Are you writing this down?!”
“I’m making sure I don't forget anything!”
“You're unbelievable…” You let out under your breath and take a deep one before resuming the, apparently, class “Squirting can be confused as peeing and—”
“Shit, hold on.” He interrupts and you hear his mom’s voice at the door, asking him something you can't really catch through the shitty airpod audio “It's just Y/N… I'm not really saying anything so I don't understand how I'm being too loud for— Yes ma'am.”
You try not to laugh because he's literally being scolded right in front of you.
Old habits die hard, and Mingi's mom loves to put him on the spot.
Your laugh dies hard as well, because the next words, for some reason, make your heart drop to your ass.
“She's telling me to either cut it out or go to your house, so… I'm coming over.”
“Oh, I— Hello?” Your lockscreen mocks you because the call literally ended before you could tell him to go and fuck himself “Shit.”
You don't know why you panic, but you do. You tidy up the room, you change your pajamas into something more presentable and you try to remember what you were telling him before he pulls open your bedroom door.
“Mingi! Fuck, you scared the shit out of me “ you're panting, hand over your chest.
He’s also panting, like he runned to get to your house, but he looks dumbfounded by your reaction “Your mom literally gave me the spare keys in your presence.”
When he steps closer, you notice he's wearing cologne and that his hair it's a little wet, still, so you figure he took a shower before calling you tonight.
Which means he probably wanted to sleep everything off, like he usually does, but whatever this is made him call you.
“Yeah! But I thought you— Nevermind.” He shrugs and gives your hair a kiss before he moves to sit at your desk, the same way he usually does when he steals your laptop and notes to complete his assignments for the few classes you share.
God. Somehow, you wish he was doing just that so it brings back some sense of normalcy. Maybe then, your heart can calm down enough for you to understand why this specific situation has your senses going insane.
You sit back down on your bed and try to get your heart back to its place in the meantime.
“They're not home, right? I didn't see your dad’s car.”
“Company dinner.”
“Ah.” He nods and you both fall in uncomfortable silence. It shouldn't be awkward, but it kind of is, even if you laugh when he pulls out the notebook he was writing on from underneath his oversized shirt and steals a pen from your pencil case, it's still a little weird.
You gulp.
“So, squirting can be confused as peeing.” He recalls the last thing you said with a smile and then he turns to look at you for a second “Go on.”
You're grateful he's taking notes all of the sudden. He's turned to you, so you have a clear view of his back and you can freely take a grounding breath before continuing “It can make you feel very uncomfortable if you think you're going to pee yourself and that's really why most women don't squirt in the first place.”
“You sound like you're reading a textbook.” He confesses with a laugh.
“I told you, I'm being very technical about this— Besides, I did my research when I was trying to…” you gulp again “You know.”
“You said squirt so freely a minute ago.” Mingi teases you the same way you teased him earlier and you squint your eyes in return.
“Very funny. Anyways… Yeah, when you feel that, you usually tense up. You need to relax before even making it happen,” he nods, writing it down quickly “I also read that, depending on the person, you can confuse the liquid with, like, usual… arousal? Yeah, arousal” you sound more confident the second time you say it, unsure on how to call it because you never really explained anything related to your vagina to anyone else.
He turns to you, confused “So… If she doesn't squirt a lot, how can I tell if she did it?”
“I guess you'll notice it in her reaction?” You shrug and then cough a little to try and get rid of the sudden lump on your throat “I mean, it's not my case, so I wouldn't… I wouldn't know that.”
Mingi, because -you guess- hates you, just raises a brow and looks you over one time before turning back to his notes.
“A-anyways,” you cough again “It's all in her g-spot. It happens because it gets stimulated and that g-spot it's like…” you, once again, try to find the ideal words to explain “It's like the upper wall of the vagina? No, no, that's not right,” you see him draw a line over what he clearly wrote down on the paper and you laugh, apologetic “It's more like the, uh… Like the front wall of it.”
“Front wall?”
“Y-yeah?” you offer, nervous and unsure “I mean… Ugh, let me explain again. Something that you need to take into account is that you can only find it if she's really, really turned on.”
“O… kay.”
“Sort of like when you get hard we, uh, also get hard. Just differently,” you notice he's no longer taking notes when you turn to him again and the room is suddenly very hot.
The AC’s on, right?
Fuck.
“And apparently it only really shows up when you're really aroused. The g-spot, I mean,” Quickly, you're up from your bed and walking around it, fetching your water bottle and taking a big gulp of it with your eyes closed.
Mingi clears his throat a second later.
“So it feels hard to the touch or…”
“Not really, um… It kinda feels like a berry.”
He laughs “What?”
“Yeah, it's kind of soft but it has a texture to it too. And we, uh… have this gland that fills up with the liquid— Kind of like a prostate gland! Yeah, that's what that article said,” putting even more distance within Mingi and you, you sit back on the bed, just on the other side “If you try to do it before it fills up, you end up with nothing. That's what frustrated me the whole time I was learning how to do it.”
“You didn't drink enough water?”
“No, no— It fills up when you get really turned on. And when I was trying, I was trying way too hard and didn't, uh… I didn't do a lot of foreplay before trying, s-so.” You nod, finishing the explanation in a softer voice.
Your cheeks feel hot and you swear your upper lip is sweating a bit. Why would you even say that?
“Y-you didn't touch yourself enough or…?”
“Exactly, I didn't, I just… Tried t-to stimulate it. Wasn't even wet enough so I used, uh, lube.”
“Oh… Lube. Sure, okay.” He nods again, and then moves his hand over his face, looking away for a second “And then?”
“I'm not really sure how to… Give me a second.”
What were you even telling him before exposing yourself like that? Before the tension in the room skyrocketed in a suffocating way? You're not sure.
Oh, foreplay. Okay, what's next?
“Fingering,” you say out loud when you remember and at the sudden word Mingi turns to you, eyes wide and you stumble over your words yet again “Y-you need to finger her to stimulate the g-spot, duh.”
“Don't duh me, Y/N, I'm learning!”
“Sorry!”
“Okay! Now what do I do when… fingering.”
That makes you frown. You're not really sure what to tell him next. So you look straight ahead and, unintentionally, move your ring and middle finger the way you do when you're touching yourself.
In the silence of the room, you audibly hear Mingi’s breath hitching and that draws you back to reality.
When you look at him, his eyes are solely focused on your fingers.
“I don't really know how to explain this next part.” You sound apologetic, your lips tensing into a straight line.
A bit passes.
And then another one and another one where Mingi looks at you with a weird, foreign expression on his face.
So you open your mouth to apologize to him, but he beats you to it.
“Then show me.”
You swear you never even heard him sound like that before. Or maybe you have, the tone of voice similar to when he just wakes up, low, grouchy, as if his throat might be dry.
It just never affected you this way.
“W-what?” you blink hard, a few times, trying to focus on whatever the hell is going on.
“Show me how you do it… I-if you want to.”
“Mingi!”
“I just— Look, you don't have to,” he says right away “If you don't want to, you can forget I ever asked but I'm so… curious”, he says, getting up from your desk chair and planting his knee into the bed “And I'm also really butthurt over what happened. I want to learn but I don't really have anyone else to ask.”
“What about, uh… Minseo! Yeah, what about her?” you offer quickly, also getting up.
“San's ex?!”
“I don't know any other woman that you also know, Mingi!”
He gulps and breathes heavily, gathering his words, his thoughts, just like he always does and you remember: This is Mingi. Your Mingi. The Mingi you've known for years and care about more than anything.
“I'm asking you because I trust you,” he says, looking you over once again “And because if I fail, you're not… going to make fun of me for it.”
There it is.
You soften at that and he seems to relax at your reaction. His demeanor lets you know he's not just saying that because he wants to see you touch yourself, he's being honest.
So you decide to be honest, as well. In a whisper, because your voice will tremble and give away how strongly you feel about his request.
“I've never done it in front of anyone before.”
“So no one has ever make you—”
“No,” you confirm before he even gets it out and you sigh “I never ask for it and I haven't really… I've only slept with—”
“Hangyeol.” He nods and scrunches his nose in disgust at the memory of your highschool boyfriend. They never really got along and it was a shame, because Han was a great guy, he just wasn't the one for you.
“Mingi,” you walk over to him and he straightens up his spine “This could really… I mean, there's no getting rid of me in this lifetime, buddy,” reminding him makes him smile and you do as well, nervous, your body on high alert “But this could mess us up.” You finish in a whisper.
“I'm not letting that happen.” He says back, eyes scanning your face before zeroing on your eyes “There's no getting rid of me either, love.”
That nickname is going to be the death of you, you're sure. It makes you suck in air you very much need at this moment.
Fuck it.
“I'll… get the towels, then.” You smile a little even though your cheeks are burning and you feel a little dizzy while holding his gaze, but you don't back down.
Before you move, though, he stops you with his hand holding your waist “I know where they are. Stay here.”
You could literally melt right now. And you know it's a short trip to the downstairs hallway closet from your room, so you make sure you strip your duvet before things get messy.
You should go to the bathroom, too, to clean yourself up a bit before Mingi finds out what you find out when you sit on your bed.
You're so wet.
And it's so fucking embarrassing, because you're not supposed to feel this way for him, for this.
Because, if anything, this is clearly just an educational experience.
And if Mingi’s excited look when he re-enters your bedroom tells you otherwise, you're choosing to ignore it for the clearly educational experience’s sake.
“These will do?”
You take the two mismatched towels and place them on the bed right away, not even looking at him.
“Yep.”
You think he nods but you're not sure, you just caught a glimpse of him moving towards your desk while you pretend to fix the towels in the bed to perfection.
“Okay, so… You need to, uh, be comfy and shit. Drink water, you just did that a few minutes ago…” when you turn to him, he's reading his notes like he's actually about to conduct an experiment and you chuckle before shaking your head “The… The foreplay part should be next, right?”
“Right…” you drag out, biting the inside of your cheek before he looks back at you.
“You look really tense, Y/N,” he deadpans, looking down at his notes again “You need to relax so it can happen, right?”
“You're about to see me touch myself and you think I can relax?”
“Oh,” he frowns, immediately and then blinks a few times to refocus, you think “I'm not the one doing it?”
“Uh… Yes? Later? I thought you wanted to see me first, y-you… You asked me to show you…”
You can feel him think, the gears on his brain twisting and you think he's going to backpedal at any second because he's not really saying anything. Then you see it, the moment the image crosses his mind.
And the next second you have him in front of you, towering over your form and then he's not.
Getting on his knees, he tentatively places a hand on your knee and parts your legs so you can make room for him to touch the end of the mattress with his chest and raise his chin just enough to make you think he's asking you to kiss him.
Oh God, you want to kiss him.
His voice is a sweet murmur when he speaks again “Show me how to get you there, love,” he sounds like he's pleading, like he's begging you to instruct him and your breath catches when he moves his hand up your thigh “What do you like?”
Your mouth moves before you can even think “Kiss me.”
You don't even notice you're leaning forward until his breath fans against your chin and he tilts his head even more so that your noses touch.
“How do you like being kissed?”
You breathe out a laugh, a little annoyed by his constant questioning “Figure it out, Mingi.” And then the last thing you see is his smirk before his mouth presses against yours.
It's not what you expect. If anything, you expected him to take the lead. Han used to do so, all the guys you've ever kissed did it as well. You don't really know why his patience surprises you, but it does and if your heart could race even more, it would.
Because he waits for your guidance, waits for you to grab his shirt and jank him closer, waits for you to sigh against him and then returns the gesture when he feels your fingers move upwards and tangle in his dark hair.
His mouth is complying to yours, his tongue is exploring it and wetting your lips in the process and you've never felt this good with anyone before.
That's something you'll need to unpack later, but your brain disconnects when your best friend lets out a noise the second his hands touch your waist under your shirt and you forget, for a split second, that the point of this is to have you on your back pleasing yourself for him to learn.
Because you want nothing more than to hear him make that noise again.
The kisses grow needy and so do you when he trails a path with his wet lips from your chin to your neck and the next thing you know is that your back is against the towels you laid down before and his mouth is kissing the valley of your breasts over the cotton of your shirt.
You look down and it takes a second for him to feel you staring before he looks up at you “Should we take this off?”
Your voice gives away how gone you are when you reply a simple yes and your shirt is on the floor the next instant.
Now, you're sure this is not the first time Mingi has seen you in your underwear. You both have gone swimming before and he has walked into your room a million times while you're getting ready. You're even sure he's seen you walk out from your bathroom in this specific bra before… But he's staring at you like it's the first time he's been able to trace the way your breasts spill a little bit over the fabric of this old bra you decided to wear today, like it's the first time he's allowed himself to enjoy it.
Like it's the first time he's allowing himself to feel any sort of attraction for you.
“Fuck,” you whisper, shallow breath hitting his cheek when he returns his mouth to your jaw “Let me… Come here.”
You scoot up until your head rests against your pillows and he follows, resting his body weight on his side and chasing your mouth when you turn your face to him.
You should speed this up. There's no way you're not going to feel like shit if tomorrow you wake up and remember you're letting yourself enjoy this more than you should.
There’s no reason for you to lose your breath when his fingertips trace softly the skin under your breasts or for your legs to grant him access so quickly when they reach your belly and bypass every other part of your body before going straight in between them.
And he notices it too.
“I don't know why I asked you so many questions before,” he starts, turning his hand so that he back of it and his nails start caressing the inside of your thighs through your sweatpants “I know what you like. I pay attention to you whenever we're talking about sex with the guys.”
You frown, about to remind him that you never speak directly about your own experiences but he continues his ministrations, giving your other thigh attention “I usually watch you closely in case any of it makes you uncomfortable, but I notice your reactions when they speak about something that you like.”
Oh. Heart on your sleeve, your biggest flaw.
“Like that one time Woo was going on and on about marking and you couldn't stop fidgeting on your seat…” his nose traces your jaw softly before his teeth take the skin underneath it and you gasp just enough to prove him right “Or that time Yunho said he hated teasing because he's an impatient little shit” he chuckles, his index finding the spot next to your mound and going down slowly until his knuckle graces the crevice where your leg and your hip connect “and you defended it until we had to stop you guys from yelling each other over it…”
Your breath shakes and your eyes close at the sensation “Mingi…”
“Am I wrong?”
You shake your head no and you can all but hear him smile when he speaks again.
“Of course I'm not.”
You open your eyes and expect him to look at you the way he does when you're unable to defend yourself against his quips, but he's not. His eyes are following his own actions and his bottom lip is pulled by his teeth when he takes the fabric of your sweatpants and pulls it up, enough to give you some friction where you need it the most.
“Can I take this off?”
“Fuck, y-yes.”
Joining your shirt on the ground, you're left only in your underwear while Mingi is fully clothed and it bothers you out of nowhere.
“You're so wet already…” he observes and you blush, puffing some air and covering your eyes with your hand. He just laughs “That's a good thing, it means that I'm doing okay.”
He's doing more than okay. Damn all the experience he has and the way he reads you so well.
But his sweet tone gives you some clarity and you support your weight on your hand to fix your position on the bed.
“Alright, let's… resume the lesson before my parents get home.”
“They probably won't for now. The company dinners last until like… two in the morning, usually, right?”
“That's when they decide to go out for drinks.”
“Your mom always wants to go out for drinks.”
“Let's not talk about my mom right now!” you beg and he laughs again, making you chuckle alongside him and you're glad he's talking all of this -the kissing, the teasing, the sweet-talk and the wet patch on your underwear- so well.
The awkwardness from before dissipated the moment he got on his knees in front of you and all that followed was this lovely tension you're dying to keep between the two of you forever even though you shouldn't.
“Show me, love,” he pleads and you sigh, his mouth finding your cheek for a quick second, encouraging you “And then you can show me how to make you feel good, too.”
You stare at him for a few seconds “Damn, you're good,” he shakes his head and you smile, getting rid of your underwear and pushing the quick moment of embarrassment being bare with him in the room gives you “Remember that this is what works for me, okay?”
He nods and then props himself up so he can see it better.
You take a second before your fingers dive into your wet folds and, when you do, you gasp at the feeling.
You've never been more wet just for kissing and teasing before. What the fuck.
You do what you usually do when you're alone for a while and try to contain yourself from moaning because Mingi's eyes keep moving from your fingers to your face. Then, you remember you should be talking him through it, as well.
“You see how I'm building it up?” you start, chest heaving and he hums as his reply “I'm not trying to make myself come but I'm kinda just… edging myself a little bit.”
“Edging,” he repeats and then hisses when he sees your thumb pressing into your clit just how you like it, making you sigh heavily “I know all about that, that's good.”
“Y-you do?”
“You'll be surprised,” he smiles, proud of himself.
“Okay,” you continue, taking a deep breath “Then you know about prepping, too,” he nods “So, a finger first…” you say, swallowing hard when your middle finger makes its way into your cavity without much effort.
Dragging back and forth for a minute or so, you're incapable of containing yourself any longer. Air leaves your mouth in pants and your eyes close when you drag the pad of your finger upwards, locating your g-spot with ease because you're used to it.
“And then, two fingers.”
“Mhm.”
“Look at the position of my hand. I read that these two fingers work the best because they're longer than the rest, although…” you look at Mingi's hand over your belly. You didn't even notice before this that he was touching you, but he is and his thumb is tracing a pattern that both relaxes you and sends shivers down your spine “I'm sure that it won't be a problem for you, huh?”
He sends a cocky smirk your way and you would've smacked him if you weren't so… preoccupied.
Pressing your precious spot and then dragging back and forward, you stop the movements altogether. It felt too good, way more than good and it's a different sensation of what you're used to.
And it's all because of him.
You look at his side profile, his eager eyes commiting to memory what you're doing to yourself, probably taking mental notes now that his notebook is long forgotten over at your desk and…
He deserves this. He deserves to be the one to have this, just tonight.
You hate to leave what feels like it's about to be your best orgasm in the hands of someone who's just learning, yet alone a man.
But Mingi is not just any man.
“Mingi,” you call and his curious eyes leave your heat a second later “your turn.”
“Did you… Did it happen? I didn't see anythi—”
“No,” you interrupt him, your fingers leaving you and you turn to him, your clean hand finding his face “show me what you learned.”
His mouth parts, but you have a newfound confidence and a glint in your eyes that is new, so nothing comes out.
“Prove that bitch wrong.”
That seems to do it.
His eyes go from being confused to spark with determination and want and electricity runs through you again because he seems so relieved he gets to touch you sooner than expected.
Shyness and nervousness buried six feet under, you both smile to each other before you feel him.
His fingers gathering your wetness, his thumb finding your clit with ease and expertise.
“Wettest pussy I've ever touched.” You can tell he's a little lost in the heat of the moment but it's okay. So are you.
Fuck.
It's been way too long since someone else touched you this way, so you all but melt at the circles he draws on your clit. He paid close attention before, because he's touching you just the way you like it.
“That feels so good…”
“Yeah?” he asks, dark eyes finding yours before a particular stroke forces you to close them. And then he gathers enough slick to insert his ring finger inside and you can't help the moan that slips past your lips.
You lift your hand to cover your mouth, but Mingi clicks his tongue in feign disappointment “I want to hear if I'm making you feel good, love. Don't hold back on me just because this is unconventional.”
The worries die altogether with that.
And now that you have free reign to stop containing yourself, you don't know how to stop.
It's not long before his middle joins his other finger but he doesn't go for it right away. He fucks you slowly, allowing you to get used to the unfamiliar stretch of his way longer, way thicker digits until they slide in and out with little effort.
His pace picks up after what feels like ages and your hand fists his shirt for the second time tonight, nodding and moaning in encouragement.
“Deeper,” you instruct “curl them upwards and go deeper, you'll feel it then.”
He obeys immediately, his chest heaving and his mouth parting in delight when he finds it. The pad of his finger presses down on it tentatively and your grasp on his shirt hardens.
“Is that it?” you nod and he does it again, which earns another moan “What do I do now?”
Before you completely get lost in the feeling, you decide to drop the step by step bullshit aside and give him the full instruction in hopes that he'll remember it all without fucking up: “What works for me is pressing… Fuck, yeah, just like that a-and then…” you take deep breath “Just a little harder… Yeah, then rub it in a circular motion while maintaining that same pressure… Fuck, Mingi!”
He's a little too good at following instructions, because he touches you like he's been doing this forever and soon you feel the familiar swell, the usual buildup of it all and he's taking you over the age like it's nothing.
You forget how to speak, you forget how to tell him what he needs to do next and so, when you finally explode, you take his wrist and place his two fingers over your clit.
When you move them side by side, he lets out a fascinated giggle but knows exactly what to do.
A second later, your release is coating your thighs and the towels underneath you and you don't register anything else because your ears are ringing.
Did you lose consciousness for a second? It feels like you did.
That was the best fucking orgasm you've ever felt in your entire life.
And when you come back down, you only register the sound of your breathing and plump lips kissing your face, his fingers stopping their pace once he realizes you're done with it.
Opening your eyes, you stare at your popcorn ceiling for a second. Then, you look at Mingi who's already staring at you with a what the fuck just happened expression.
It makes you laugh. Softly at the beginning, post-orgasm bliss takes over but then Mingi laughs too and your whole chest swells with inexplicable pride.
You don't think twice before kissing him again. When you realize you did it, you pull back and blink at him like he didn't make you see stars three seconds ago.
“That was…” his eyes do the thing he usually does. You never notice it until now, but he scans your face so frequently you've grown used to it, but now… It feels different. His teeth nip his bottom lip and he shakes his head before speaking “Come here, love.”
And then he's kissing you again, slow, intimate, beyond the stupid lesson you just taught him.
But you don't mind it one bit.
You sit up, getting on your knees on the bed and basically forcing him to do the same. Ignoring the gross sensation of the wet towel underneath you, you pull him further into you until his chest presses against yours, until his hands roam your body and settle on your waist, securing the embrace.
This time, when you pull away, there's this whole unspoken new thing between you.
“That was…?” you press, smiling a bit, pulling both you and him back to reality.
Right now, with you half naked and his hard-on pressing on your belly, it's not the time to discuss your feelings.
“Possibly the coolest thing I've seen,” he starts, giggling when you roll your eyes “and the hottest thing I've seen, too,” you shrug, dismissing his stare because it's making you feel hot all over your body, again “and I'm really, really grateful you said yes, love.”
The soft tone he uses to say the last bit relaxes you and you nod, deciding it's not the time to tell him you never even came like that on your own.
Instead, you decide to grasp this intimate moment and extend it as much as you can. You can see Mingi is not expecting it when you reach his sweatpants and let your shaky thumb trace the outline of his cock.
Closing his eyes, he lets out a pleased sigh before he grabs you by the back of your neck and rests his forehead against yours.
“This is supposed to be purely educational, Y/N”
“Is that what you want it to be?” you softly ask, pulling your hand away but then his hips buck and chase after your touch, making you smile despite the emotions swelling in your chest “Let me help you… Please…”
“Fuck, don't beg me, love.”
“Don't make me beg, then.”
What the fuck are you even doing?
“Y/N, I—” he stops suddenly and you're too lost in the moment to notice why.
But then the sound of keys and a door closing downstairs scares the fuck out of you and you push Mingi away without thinking it through.
He lands with a thud on your bedroom floor, next to your discarded clothes.
“What the fuck, Y/N?” he whispers-shouts, both shocked and offended, but you're getting off your bed and picking up your clothes and the soaked towels so you don't really care about his feelings right now.
“Bathroom. Now.”
You're so blessed for having your bedroom right next to the upstairs bathroom. And so blessed that it is your bathroom and you don't have to share it. You’ll get on your knees and thank your gods afterwards, but right now you can only think one thing.
Don't get caught.
Lord knows you'll never hear the end of it if Mingi walks out of here with a hard-on. Your dad will kill him, your mom will cheer because she loves the idea of you and Mingi together and you'll probably pack your bags and move away if it happens.
When you lock the door behind you and make a quick show of putting your underwear and pants back on, you hear Mingi chuckle.
“We can always tell them we're having a sleepover, Y/N, you didn't have to karate kick me off the damn bed!”
“Hush!” But he just keeps giggling at your very obvious flustered state.
You're about to rip him a new one when he takes two strides, backs you against the bathroom sink, and catches your lips in a quick, sweet kiss and all your worries dissolve just like that.
“Guess they didn't go for drinks after all..”
“You think?” cocking your head to the side, the smile on your lips can't be fought at this point.
He returns it and leans in for another kiss, longer this time and you sigh against his mouth before pulling away because you really, really shouldn't be doing this right now.
You hear your mother calling your name and then footsteps up the stairs. A murmured she must be sleeping and a hum from your father before they pass the bathroom door. You truly only relax when you hear their door closing at the end of the hallway.
“Okay, we're safe now.”
“When were we ever not safe?”
“When I was half naked on my bed, Mingi!”
He shakes his head with a smile and takes a step back.
You clear your throat.
“I really did want to help you out but—”
“Raincheck?” he asks and at your hesitation to say yes, he continues “If you want to. If you don't, it's okay. We… We'll figure it out, okay?”
“Okay.”
He smiles again “Good, uh…”
Mingi seems unsure on what to do next. Feeling the same, you decide the best thing to do is to get him out of here.
Opening the bathroom door, you carefully peek into the hallway, taking his hand in yours and beckoning him to follow you down the stairs, trying to make as little noise as possible.
“Shit, your shoes…” you whisper.
“I don't think they noticed if they didn't barge into the bedroom to check on us like they usually do, love.” He returns, in the same tone.
That does nothing to ease your mind, but he makes sure to put them on quickly and then grabs your shoulders, shaking you in a teasing manner.
“Quit worrying, Y/N. I can feel you thinking.”
Of course he does. There's no one, in this world, that knows you better than him.
It makes your heart flutter and it shouldn't. But you're getting on your tippy toes and stealing a parting kiss before you think about it too much.
It's irresponsible for you to do so, but Mingi grabs your waist and extends the duration of the kiss and suddenly you don't give a fuck about your parents or anyone else finding out about this… shift in your dynamic.
“See you tomorrow?” he asks against your lips and you nod.
“See you tomorrow.”
And with that, he leaves.
You lock the door and practically run to your room after.
What the fuck have you done?
If you read all the way down here: THANK YOU SO MUCH. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and since it’s an open ending (sort of), let me know if you want a second part!

love and deepspace men when you (playfully) reject their kiss ft. zayne, xavier, rafayel
fluff, fluff, FLUFF
zayne
his kiss landed on the outer corner of your lips instead as you turned away at the very last second as he leaned in
he just stared at you for a solid five seconds.
“was this because i left you on read this afternoon?” his voice was soft, uncertainty danced across his feature. you just shrugged, turning away from him to hide the smile you’ve been trying really hard to suppress.
he grabbed a hold of your waist first, keeping you in place. he saw the shameless smile on your face, couldn’t help but let out a little chuckle of his own. “should’ve known.”
you laughed, “but you did left me on read, how dare you?” his thumb moved up and down on your side as he made no change on his expression, like doing a gesture he didn’t even realize doing it. “alright then, i apologize for not replying within twenty minutes, since i did give you a call as soon as i was available.”
you put your hands on either side of his cheeks, he leaned into the touch. of course, it didn’t bothered you one bit when he didn’t reply right away since you knew very well how demanding his job was.
you planted a sweet kiss on his lips, you could feel his little smile as you pulled away. “good work today, zayne.”
“hm, then surely you would indulge me more of that for a moment longer?”
xavier
he’s quiet for a moment; he did kiss you, but he didn’t know why you’d turn your head on the last second like that as he kissed you on the cheek instead.
he casted his gaze downwards, looking like a rejected kitten in a pouring rain searching for its owner.
your heart squeezed at the adorable act, lifting his chin with your palm. he tilted his head questioningly, the words was obvious on his face. did i do something wrong today? were you mad?
xavier stared at you as he recalled today’s events, but he reached his wits end pretty fast since he still had no idea why you’d reject his kiss.
you then giggled at his clueless expression, and xavier immediately understood that you’re being playful. he let out a little sigh of relief, embracing you. his neck deep at the crook of your neck, his soft hair tickling you in the best way possible.
“you’re too playful at times,” he mumbled, he looked like he had all the peace in the world. “sorry, will you forgive me?” you ran your fingers through the back of his head. “i’ll forgive you if you promise not to reject my kiss ever again,” he said.
you laughed, “okay then, if you insist.”
rafayel
oh. he looked so offended beyond belief. you’d think someone had insulted his painting; a product from his passion and effort. but to think it’s just a face he made because you didn’t want him to kiss you.
“i see what this is,” he started, the dramatic side of him just wouldn’t let this slide. you challenged, “yeah? what is it?”
“you tell me. this is just the beginning isn’t it. first you reject my kiss, next thing i know you’d be packing your bags, telling me you’ve fallen out of love.” he crossed his arms in front of his chest, his pout was the most exaggerated as it’s ever been.
you had to hold your laugh so hard, you covered your mouth with your fist. “it was just a kiss rafayel, i wasn’t feeling it.” you replied, trying your best to sound serious.
“wasn’t feeling it?” he gasped, like you just insulted his whole entire bloodline. he put up a palm in front of your face, like refraining you to say more controversial things. he took a deep breath to calm himself, “it’s fine, it’s not like i was eager to kiss you either.” he mumbled like he was talking to himself, although it’s obvious he’s being a little loud on purpose. also, lies. he practically bounced on air when he approached you.
finally a laugh escaped you, rafayel looked at you and he just fumed. “just so you know i expect you to make up for all the emotional distress i just went through.” you laughed a little more as you grabbed a hold of his face. “i would kiss you many times to make it up but i think someone just said he wasn’t really that eager to kiss me?” you raised an eyebrow.
his eyes lit up for a moment at the mention of a kiss, and next second he looked around frantically to make an excuse. “it’s okay i understand, fighting that many wanderers who make a lot of strange screeching noises? it’d disturb your hearing a little. i said i was eager to kiss you.” he smiled, nodding to himself. you laughed once more at his ridiculousness.
“sure, let’s go with that excuse.” you kissed him and when you pulled away he held your head, giving you multiple kisses before he let you go with a grin.

Some spirit manages to get the gaang and zuko a link that connects their minds. They can share thoughts and their past with each other.
Tweaking this to “and they share dreams” because that’s how I started writing it.
---
“Okay,” Sokka says, wrapping his sleeping bag around himself, and grabbing a comfort Momo, too. “Whose dream was that?”
No one ‘fesses up. But it was kind of a rude question, and also a little rhetorical, anyway.
They all have nightmares with fire.
Having the Fire Lord himself looming over them, while they were on their knees? Not exactly a stretch.
---
“Okay,” Sokka says, “how does Prince Jerkface keep finding us?”
---
“Okay,” Sokka says, “how did he know that seal jerky seasoned just right with honey—not too much, just enough to add a sparkle of sweetness to the depths of savoriness, a perfect balance for the distinguished tongue to relish—was the perfect bait for his Sokka and Sokka-affliated-parties trap?”
“Maybe if you stop dreaming about it, Sokka,” Katara snaps.
...And they all stop.
---
“I’m going to think really really hard about being friends,” Aang says.
“I’m going to think really really hard about that time my boomerang hit him,” says Sokka.
---
Snatching the boomerang out of midair? Impressive.
Ignoring the Avatar to go hit Sokka with it? Repeatedly? Uncalled for.
---
“Sokka. The city is under attack. Right now.”
“Okay,” Sokka says. “But this is a strategic nap, Katara. We need to know what evil things our Evil Other is up to.”
It’s not like the evil fleet part was a surprise, at least. They’ve been dreaming of it for weeks.
---
“Okay,” Sokka says, looking down. “So the ship-blowing-up-thing. Not a nightmare?”
“No,” says Zuko, glaring up with his glare-face all glare-ful but his thoughts mostly full of bruises so deep they’re making Sokka’s ribs ache, and also his legs are going numb.
“Going to get out of the turtle-seal tunnel now?” Sokka asks, still standing over the opening. With his boomerang.
“...No,” the Prince of the Fire Nation says, as he clings onto the edge of the hole, his legs still very much in freezing water.
---
“Okay,” Sokka says, when they have a Fire Prince all tied up in Blankets of Imprisonment. “So. What actually was your plan here? Do not,” he interrupts, before the teenage-shaped bloodhound-leech can do more than open his mouth, “say ‘capture the Avatar.’”
The prince closes his mouth. Glares. And kind of fuzzes at the edges, in the way all of them do when they’re about to fall asleep.
BOOMERANG, Sokka thinks, and Prince Largely Ineffective As An Enemy jerks back upright. His Momo hat chitters a complaint.
“Since we both know your answer is ‘I had no plan, Sokka, ‘plan’ starts with ‘p’ and there’s no ‘p’ in ‘Avatar’’, we’re going to play a game instead. It’s called ‘sleepy prince free association interrogation time.’”
“...What?”
“Battle plans,” Sokka says. “Attack. Fire Navy fleet. Ship numbers.”
Alas, “Fire Nation intelligence” is not something with which the prince’s brain is overly burdened.
“...Are you insulting me?”
“Are you proving my point?”
Elsewhere, Yue laughs in all their heads. Zuko flinches. The prince has a very marked reaction to the laughter of princesses.
---
“Okay,” says Sokka. “So that just happened.”
Commander Mutton Chops is groaning. Kind of flopping. Much like the bag he tried to fireball. Yue picks it up, and gently wrangles a fish back into water. Sokka is still not clear on what the fish-napping was about.
“It’s the Moon,” Aang says. “Or maybe the Ocean?”
Aang’s thoughts are full of a FACE STEALING EVIL CENTIPEDE MONSTER THAT IS JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE THIN VEIL OF REALITY and that is NOT helping Sokka think.
“Okay,” he says again. “So. At least we can all agree on one thing.”
This is a very diplomatic way of saying they all wanted to dropkick Zhao. But some of them wanted to do it more than others.
The prince of the Fire Nation is even paler than normal, and staring across the clearing at his uncle.
“I can explain,” the prince says, while he’s thinking, oh shit treason oh crap uncle wouldn’t hurt me thought that about father too
Sokka wordlessly plucks Momo from the edge of the pond, where he’s been swiping at the spirit-fish, and drops him on the prince’s head.
Everyone needs a comfort Momo, now and again.
---
“A raft, Zuko?” Sokka says. Outloud. Because it makes things louder when you say it and think it. “A raft?”
Aang is bouncing on his toes. “We should go get him.”
The Avatar is grinning. And thinking, really hard and deliberately, as behind them the Water Tribe ship finishes packing, We should capture the Fire Prince.
“Okay,” Sokka says, with a grin of his own.
