What's the process for publishing on Itch.io? I'd like to start publishing my own freak transsexual stories. I've looked into it on my own, but is there anything you wish you'd known going into things?

hi! i found it pretty easy to set up! other people have made guides but i just jumped right in and had no problems. the dashboard is pretty intuitive for telling you all you need to know and what all the fields mean, and i really like how it lets you draft a listing before you make it live so you can customize it and make it look and feel how you want it to before anyone else sees it. there's no hosting fees (just the usual unavoidable paypal cut, and the payout fee itch takes is extremely small in comparison). in general i think itch is the best place for self pub freak transsexual stories right now and everyone should give it a try!

I love to collaborate. most of my game design career has been collaborative. the problem is everyone's a game designer, and far fewer people are layout artists and editors and marketers and the like (in my experience). and at a certain point of collaboration, if you're the only one with a certain skillset, you ONLY get to use that skillset and there's no time for anything else.

not sure where I'm going with this except that I've been thinking about how much I love layout design but how I also don't love it enough to give up the part of game design that is actually designing the games.

i will never get what’s so bad about having an ‘inconsistent art style’. it’s a common thing i see some artists grieve and im like……….. isnt that a good thing 💀💀💀 cuz i wish my art style was more ‘inconsistent’ :(

if anyone’s ever truly felt that way, i’d like to know your thought process behind it—is there something bad about having an inconsistent look and feel about your art?? (not trying to ask in a mean or condescending way, i genuinely want to know what i’m missing and if it’s something i should be concerned about)

im formatting presage's bio, the sizes that i want the art columns at is frustrating bc it cuts off signatures (in column 1 and 3, idk where the signature is in 2) and also i still wanna see the full art so ive left the full size ones in the bottom of the bio (all of them linking back to their artist ofc). i want to still have a section of traits / items, idk if im gonna move the line abt velya up one (i only moved it down to see if i can get the text the same height of the art and it didnt work so im probs gonna shift that around anyways) but like. i Could say more abt her ksjdfhsk so idk if i wanna use that (currently) final section for needed items, relationships, traits, etc, or to say more and just keep adding squares. bc im working on art for her myself Very Slowly (not touched it in a few weeks) idkkk
