Daniel: "Am, too! But the landlord gave up on ever getting paid and settled for the satisfaction of seeing me go abroad. He's throwing away money and cannot even watch me suffer on account of being a continent away, it's so stupid. John would never do that!"

so here's the thing: if you asked me some months ago? i'd be like 'no, there's no way i didn't use all that time to not finish it. it's just taking a while because lifethingz and perfectionism woes as i edit this monster. and yes i am gonna do a beyonce drop of the next three chapters at once i feel they're properly edited which is 1000 years but it'll happen' cuz i'm a real stubborn mothereffer. and typically determined in my pursuits. i am, also, tho lazybutt. but again - i refuse(d?) to give up on something that seriously? i did not sacrifice hours of sleep (and for some time, my health) for nothing. jchrist.

but then, things got/have been really shitty, real fast, and my commitment to the fic has declined rapidly for a myriad of reasons in connection to that. so, due to that, the fic itself is actually quite emotionally painful for me. the act of any art is doing the opposite for me.

at the moment, i'm workshopping (with persimmons + wian's support) of whether i just need to rework the fic completely from the start, to remove some aspects that are etablished/fixed there, so it's more palatable for me as i continue editing the future chapters and arcs, and revise that accordingly. also it gives an excuse to re-edit anyway, that i've wanted to do bc i literally wrote the fic without much editing, and over nights and staying up way too late. i don't want to just abandon it because - again - sleep debt! and again, the time to do so. i hate losing out on my time. but also, like i said - the fic brings pain and just, negative feedback, for me.

sidewise, i could just finish up my other WIPs. shrug. or just post the next chapter because a portion has pretty much finished through the editing process (if that. i'm always thinking no this can be better word wise). and it's at a point i could technically just cut off the chapter enough to post. but eh. unlikely on both fronts?

but also, i don't really have much capacity/spoons these days. i had to pick up decaf, even minimal sips for goodness sakes (i am not a coffee person, at ALL), just to function. so. yeah.

so the answer is a... nebulous one.

so i appreciate your interest, i would say i never intend to give any one high hopes (esp bc the next few things of the fic are/would def gonna piss off people). but yeah. it's kind of a toss-up. likelihood of doing the fic is there bc again - i refuse. but, also whatever the fic ends up becoming in some of those painful aspects, if indeed, it won't be what it was going to be.

i do say tho that in the event i didn't want to finish it or just got too laze, i'd just post up the entire fic roadmap of the fic, and the snippets of what i felt comfortable enough in their format without much editing.

i don't know! throw hands. life is shitty. that's the answer i can give you?
