‘When it rains it pours.’  Rami never really understood the saying itself, and it had nothing to do with a language barrier - rather a case where he’s never been in a situation where luck wasn’t on his side, but today life had some other plans.   Having failed to even look to see how the weather was going to be - assuming the sunny Florida weather would at least hold up long enough for him to go and get things taken care of - he had forgotten to even grab for an umbrella, leaving him to fight his way through torrential rain that showed no signs of letting up.  Having given up the Canadian native took shelter under a bus awning to wait out the storm, only problem being he wasn’t exactly alone in the idea.  Dark eyes wandered over to take a glance at whom his company was - only to have a thick lump form in the back of his throat halting him from taking the sharp intake of air that escaped him in seconds.  “.... Mercedes?”
